From YouTube: 2022 Board election - Rainer Stropek
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
I'm
Stacey
Cashmore
committing
member
for
the.net
foundation
elections
this
year
and
I
would
like
to
introduce
you
to
one
of
our
candidates,
Rayna
stropek
Reyna
good
afternoon.
Maybe
you
could
introduce
yourself
a
little.
B
Hi
Stacy,
and
thank
you
very
much
for
having
me,
of
course,
I'm
glad
to
introduce
myself.
As
you
said,
my
name
is
Reyes
Tropic
I'm,
an
entrepreneur
and
software
architect
living
in
Austria
here
in
Europe.
In
fact,
I
learned
coding
over
30
years
ago
and
ever
since
I
I
simply
love
it
I'm
passionate
about
coding,
I'm,
a
passionate
coder
I
was
so
lucky
that
I
could
make
my
my
biggest
hobby,
my
job,
creating
software
and,
more
specifically
doing
coding.
This
is
what
I,
what
I
love
my.net
experience
goes
quite
back.
B
It
goes
back
to
the
early
days
of
the
first
technical
previews
of.net.
When
dotnet
was
first
presented
at
the
PDC
conference.
These
conferences
were
called
professional
developer
conferences.
Back
then,
I
can
remember
very
clearly.
I
was
in
Copenhagen
and
I
was
a
professional
Windows
developer,
using
C
plus
plus
at
that
time
and
dotnet
immediately
caught
my
attention.
I
started
playing
with
it
and
that
that
was
it.
It
got
me
dot
net
and
C
sharp
have
always
been
a
part
of
my
professional
life
ever
since.
B
Well,
for
for
a
living,
I
run
a
small
cloud
computing
software
vendor
and
consulting
company
here
in
Austria
that
I
found
it
I
co-founded.
We
helped
develop
software
as
a
service
solutions
on
Azure
and
help
small,
medium
and
and
even
large
organizations
to
be
successful
in
the
cloud.
This
is
what
I
do
for
for
a
living
and
in
my
company.net
is
a
Cornerstone.
It's
really
the
the
foundation
of
all
we
build
in
the
back
end,
all
the
backend
code.
B
We
write,
this.net
and
based
on
this
experience,
I'm
very
glad
that
I
can
regularly
do
workshops,
sessions
at
conferences
throughout
Europe
and
the
US
and
nowadays,
primarily
virtual
ones.
As
a
result,
I
have
been
Microsoft
most
valuable,
professional
and
Regional
director
for
over
10
years,
and
currently
I
hold
two
MVP
titles
for
developer,
Technologies
and
and
azure
a
little
bit
about
my
private
life.
B
Beside
my
professional
work
as
a
software
architect
and
developer
I'm,
a
part-time
teacher,
I
love
teaching
one
day
a
week,
I
teach
at
a
vocational
college
for
computer
science
here
in
Austria,
of
course,
coding
and
my
biggest
hobby
is
in
the
same
area.
I
found
it
and
I
act
as
the
chairman
of
our
local
code
dojo
for
those
of
you
who
don't
know
Koda
dojos,
Coda
dojos
are
free
and
volunteer
driven
programming,
clubs
for
kids
between
7
and
18
years,
and
our
coded
Ojo.
We
are
a
little
bit
proud
about
that.
B
A
A
Maybe
building
on
that
then
a
little
bit
and
I
guess
with
a
coding
Dojo
as
well.
Could
you
tell
us
a
little
bit
about
what
you
want
to
accomplish
as
part
of
the.net
foundation
board
absolutely.
B
Absolutely
I
would
love
to
do
that.
You
see
I
I,
don't
have
a
history
in
the
dark
met.
Foundation
I
haven't
had
any
position
in
the.net
foundation
and
I'm,
also
not
a
famous
maintainer
or
contributor
to
Major
open
source
projects.
This
is
not
what
I
do.
My
passion
is
around
learning
and
teaching.
This
is
what
I
mainly
do.
B
This
is
exactly
the
area
where
I
would
like
to
offer
my
participation
in
the.net
Foundation
I
would
like
to
make
dot
net
and
c-sharp
more
attractive
to
people
who
are
just
at
the
beginning
of
their
Journey
towards
becoming
programmers,
I
mean
Microsoft
and
the
community.
They
do
a
great
job
when
it
comes
to
learning
resources
for
experienced
software
developers.
There
are
so
many
meetups
where
coders
can
extend
their
knowledge
and
get
in
touch
with
other
professional
Developers.
B
B
I
I
checked
it
out
and
if
you
take
a
look
at
the
programming
languages
and
their
attractiveness
to
people
who
are
just
learning
to
code,
C
sharp
is
notably
behind
languages
like
JavaScript,
typescript,
python,
C,
plus,
plus
Java,
and
so
on
in
the
part
of
Europe,
where
I,
mostly,
where
I'm,
mostly
active
Java,
is
still
the
number
one,
the
go-to
language
when
it
comes
to
technical
schools
and
universities.
Why
is
that?
B
If
you
look
for
coding
for
kids,
for
instance,
a
topic
which
is
very
near
to
my
heart
and
you
look
for
books
on
Amazon,
for
instance?
Obviously
the
most
prominent
result
is
block
programming
with
scratch.
That's
clear,
but
immediately
after
we
have
python
everything
is
python.
Everything
else
is
way
behind.
You
will
find
some
Swift
books
for
playfully
learning
how
to
develop
iPhone
apps,
what
you
not!
What
you
will
not
find
is
something
about
c-sharp
and
we
would
have
so
much
potential.
Think
of
Minecraft,
for
instance,
Minecraft
is
huge
for
young
people.
B
In
my
experience,
learning
to
code
mods
for
Minecraft
is
an
important
driver
for
kids
to
get
into
coding,
and
how
do
they
do
that
with
Java?
If
you
look
in
in
another
Direction
Frameworks,
like
processing
a
framework
that
I
really
love
to
use,
is
Java
or
p5.js,
which
is
also
from
the
processing.
Foundation
is
great
in
conjunction
with
video
series,
like
the
coding
train,
for
instance,
they
do
an
awesome
job
in
motivating
kids
to
learn
coding
and
what
do
they
learn?
B
Javascript
and
typescript
no
c-sharp,
and
if
you
ask
me
what
I
want
to
accomplish
as
part
of
the.net
foundation
board
than
teaching
and
learning
is
where
I
would
like
to
make
some
progress
where
I
would
like
to
contribute
something.
I
would
love
to
contribute
some
some
thoughts
and
experiences
that
could
lead
to
more
resources
in
C
sharp
and
with
DOT
net
that
Inspire
and
Fascinate,
more
particularly
young
people,
to
playfully,
discover
this
Grand
world
of
coding
that
I
love
so
much
and
where
I
hope
that
many
of
these
kids
also
find
their
passion
in.
A
I
think
that's
spectacular!
It's
if
I
look
around
me
and
the
things
that
I
see
when
I
look
at
the
community.
They,
let
you
say
it's
people
getting
into
programming,
you
talk
to
them
about.net
and
c-sharp,
and
it's
just
not
a
language
that
outside
of
some
boot
camps
that
are
really
discussed
and
out
there
for
the
people
starting
their
Journeys.
I
think
this
is
something
that
would
really
help
our
community
in
the
time
to
come.
A
Could
you
go
through
I'm
guessing
with
your
teaching?
But
could
you
maybe
go
through
a
little
bit
of
the
experience
that
you
can
bring
to
the.net
board
in
order
to
try
and
achieve
this
and
and
to
attract
those
younger
developers
when
they're
starting
their
Journey.
B
Yes,
of
course,
of
course
I.
Can
you
see
the
first
thing?
The
first
well
obvious
experience
that
I
have
is
more
than
30
years
of
coding.
Experience
I
have
more
than
20
years
of
c-sharpen.net
experience.
B
I
started
using.net
in
the
technical
previews,
not
just
version
one,
so
I
have
been
there
the
entire
journey,
and
this
experience
is
sometimes
important,
because
some
aspects
of.net
and
c-sharp-
you
only
understand
them
when
you
understand
the
history
of
these
things
and
teaching
these
things
and
why
things
are,
as
they
are,
are
an
important
part
of
a
Learning
Journey.
When
you
enter
a
new,
a
new
platform,
for
instance,
when
it
comes
to
learning
and
teaching
I,
have
more
than
20
years
of
experience
as
a
trainer
and
speaker
targeting
professional
developers.
B
I
do
that
for
more
than
two
decades
and
more
than
seven
years,
I
work
as
a
teacher
and
Mentor
with
kids,
starting
at
age,
seven
in
Dakota
dojo,
but
it's
not
just
the
the
teaching
thing.
It's
also
the
organization
thing
I
understand
that
that.net
Foundation
is
not
just
really
doing
things
on
their
own,
but
it's
all
about
all
about
organizing
and
helping
communities.
B
I'm,
an
entrepreneur
ever
since
I
I
I
finished
my
school
I
started
my
own
companies,
I
I,
led
teams,
I
organized
teams,
I
organized
the
local
Coda
Dojo
I,
built
up
a
team
of
volunteers.
I
know
other
communities,
I
regularly
speak
and
write
about,
go
I
founded
the
rust
Meetup.
So
this
this
building
up
communities
and
and
helping
communities
in
fulfilling
their
full
potential
is
something
that
I
love
doing,
especially
when
they
are
communities
around
technology.
But
I
also
have
quite
a
bit
of
experience
in
delivering
these
things
myself.
B
For
instance,
I
have
more
than
10
top
10
000
followers
on
on
YouTube
and
I
only
produce
technology,
videos,
I
I
record.
My
teaching
I
have
dozens
I
think
there
are
hundreds
of
C,
sharp
internet
teaching
videos
out
there
in
my
YouTube
channel
and
I'm
so
happy
that
I
get
a
lot
of
feedback
from
all
over
the
world
of
people
who
get
into
coding
by
watching
my
videos,
for
instance,
and
all
this
together
is
what
I
would
like
to
contribute
to
the.net
Foundation
to
this
learning
and
teaching
Journey.
B
But
above
all,
what
I
think
is
is
my
most
important
driver.
Why
I
said
yes,
I
would
like
to
to
participate
in
this
election
is
because
I
simply
love
c-sharp
and
net
and
I'm
really
from
the
bottom
of
my
heart,
convinced
that
it's
one
of
the
best
coding
platforms
and
enjoyable
coding
platforms
that
we
have
nowadays
even
compared
to
all
the
other
platforms
that
I
work.
It's
JavaScript,
it's
typescript,
it's
go,
it's
rust
still
I
love,
using.net
and
c-sharp,
and
this
is
what
what
drives
me-
and
this
is
what
I
would
like
to
contribute.
A
Thank
you
very
much.
That
sounds
absolutely
fantastic,
so
I
want
to
say.
Thank
you
very
much
for
your
time
today.
Thank
you
so
much
for
going
through
your
passion,
your
passion
really
Shone.
When
you
were
talking
about
that,
it
was
a
pleasure
to
be
able
to
conduct
this
interview,
so
that
is
Reina
everybody
standing
for
election
in
the.net
Foundation
elections
this
year.
Reyna.
Thank
you
very
much
for
your
time
this
afternoon
and
I
wish
you
a
pleasant
day.
Thank.
