From YouTube: Weekly e-NABLE Town Hall Meeting - February 24, 2022
Description
This is a recording of the weekly e-NABLE Town Hall meeting.
The notes/agenda document can be found here: https://bit.ly/e-nable-town-hall-notes
If you want to join into the meeting itself, you are welcome to do so. You'll find the Zoom link in the events calendar on the Hub.
A
Okay,
it
should
be
live
now,
so
welcome
back
to
another
town
hall
and,
let's
see
here
start
with
our
action
items
Sarah.
What's
the
latest
on
our
press
release
for
response
for
Ukraine.
B
A
So
that's
off
our
list-
John's
not
here!
Yet
all
right,
so
I
did
set
up
a
WordPress
account
for
you
on
enabling
the
future,
sir.
You
should
have
received
an
email
with
the
info.
A
So
that
should
be
done,
update
the
release
of
liability,
Google
doc
version.
So
that's
been
taken
care
of
Ben.
What.
A
It's
going
great,
always
always
a
lot
of
fun,
as
you
know,
lots
going
on.
C
All
right,
great
I'm,
hoping
I,
can
catch
up
by
listening
in
on
the
sidelines
today.
Wonderful.
A
Yeah,
it's
great
to
see
you
and
hi
John,
so
we're
just
going
through
action
items.
So
next
one
is
for
me
to
update
our
release
in
live
recently,
release
of
liability.
So
there's
two
versions
and
I
tried
to
clean
both
of
them
up
so
there's
this
version
for
individual
volunteers
since
I'm
sharing
this
now
as
a
Google
doc,
which
will
make
it
a
lot
easier
to
edit
I.
Put
this
note
at
the
top.
A
Unfortunately,
it's
just
I
think
a
shortcoming
of
Google
Drive
that
whenever
I
share
something
like
this
I
don't
want
anyone
to
be
able
to
just
come
in
and
edit
the
template
right.
I
want
them
to
be
editing
their
own
copy.
So
but
people
don't
realize
that.
So
what
happens
is
they
come
in
here
and
they
they
say
or
where
is
it
up
top
here
they
say:
request
access
and
so
I
keep
getting
these.
These
sharing
requests.
Please
give
access,
please
you
don't
need
to
request
access.
You
just
go
to
file,
make
a
copy.
A
You
make
your
own
copy
and
your
own
Google
Drive,
and
that's
what
you
edit
so
I
put
this
I
put
the
note
at
the
top
here.
Hoping
people
will
see
that
I
I've
done
the
same
thing
for
another
document
that
we
have
related
to
sizing
and
I.
It's
I
keep
every
day,
I
get
about
a
half
a
dozen
requests
for
for
Access
I.
Don't.
A
Yes,
good
call
thanks.
Okay,
so
anyway,
that's
been
done
and
that
is
posted
in
our
main
Wiki
under
important
documents.
So
you've
got
the
two
versions
here:
one
for
individual
volunteers,
one
for
chapters,
I
I
didn't
even
bother
sharing
the
pdf
version
anymore,
I,
don't
know
what
good
that
does.
Anyone,
because
you
have
to
edit
it
and
editing
PDFs
is,
is
not
really
easy,
so
I
figure.
Let's
just
share
the
Google
Doc
versions.
People
can
make
their
edits
and
the
next
board
is
PDF
for
themselves.
A
So
it's
I,
wouldn't
say
it's
done.
I
think
we
need
to
spend
some
more
time.
Cleaning
it
up.
The
language
needs
a
more
careful
review
and
I
think
there
are
probably
other
links
elsewhere
that
need
to
be
updated,
but
for
now
that
at
least
that
that
part's
done
and
the
last
one
was
for
me
to
revise
the
new
user
email
from
The
Hub
I
haven't
gotten
to
that.
A
Yet
I
we
just
feel
like
there's
there's
we
can
communicate,
maybe
a
little
bit
more
information
about
how
to
get
started
and
setting
proper
expectations
and
we'll
talk
about
that
again,
a
little
bit
further
on
today,
because
there's
some
of
the
posts
we're
going
to
look
at
show
this
recurring
theme
of
confusion,
and
maybe
that's
something
we
can
address
in
this
email,
so
we'll
come
back
to
that
I
don't
have
any
upcoming
special
presentations
that
are
scheduled
yet
metrics
are
here.
Thank
you,
Rick,
for
keeping
these
up
to
date.
A
A
A
Oh,
he
is
okay,
just
want
to
make
sure
everything
is
okay
there,
but
he's
he's
been
keeping
these
metrics
up
today
for
us
and
everything
looks
pretty
pretty
consistent
with
what
it
has
been.
Our
enable
fund
is
still
almost
the
same,
so
we've
used
a
tiny
bit
of
it.
Chapter
number
of
chapters
is
still
a
bit
up
in
the
air.
A
I
was
going
to
ask
him
about
the
chapter
audit,
we'll
get
an
update
next
time,
but
otherwise,
let's
move
on
here
all
right
from
the
Hub
quite
a
bit
to
look
at
this
week.
So
this
is
one
of
the
recurring
themes
I
was
referring
to
earlier.
So
Hector
is
asking
hey,
you
know,
I've
printed
a
couple
hands
where
do
I,
send
them
and
Elaine
same
question:
I've
printed
three!
A
Now
what
so
there's
a
widespread
misunderstanding
that
people
can
just
print
hands
in
generic
sizes
and
we
have
the
facilities
to
get
those
into
the
hands
of
people
that
need
them,
and
unfortunately
we
just
don't
right
now
that
that
mechanism
is
just
broken.
As
of
now,
we
are
actively
working
to
rebuild
that
capability
on
a
number
of
different
fronts.
We
we're
working
on
a
new
matching
platform.
They
will
hopefully
do
a
better
job
of
connecting
our
volunteers
with
people
that
need
these
devices,
we're
working
on
some
very
important
Outreach
efforts
and
Partnerships.
A
We
we
really
don't
have
that,
and-
and
this
is
a
problem
right
now-
that
we
need
to
work
on
because
you'll
see
here
that
Albert
posted
hey,
there
said
yeah,
they
do
have
a
repository
I.
Believe.
Let
me
look
for
that
post
and
then
he
linked
to
this
post,
which
is
still
up
here
from
Bob
rigor,
saying:
hey.
We
got
this
brand
new
device
repository
Sequoia,
High
School.
A
We
don't
really
have
any
way
of
getting
these
to
where
they
can
be
put
to
good
use
right
now,
and
so
our
Focus
really
needs
to
I
think
be
more
on
the
Outreach
and
getting
the
word
out
about
what
we
can
do
before
we
revisit
trying
to
stockpile
these
things,
but
that
does
leave
us
with
like
how
do
we?
How
do
we
clean
this
stuff
up,
like
you
know,
we've
got
posts
out
here
on
the
Hub.
A
Saying,
hey
send
your
stuff
here
and
it's
not
even
you
know
I
just
you
know,
people
are
going
to
keep
sending
them
here
until
we
we
update
this
I.
C
A
E
Excuse
me
it's
certainly
while
you're
right
there,
you
should
just
add
a
comment
saying
please
note:
this
program
is
no
longer
active.
A
I
want
to
tell
them
what
they
can
do
with
them.
I
mean
you
can
find
other
ways
of
putting
those
devices
to
use,
maybe
for
educational
purposes.
Maybe
for
you
know
helping
to
spread
the
word
showing
people
I,
you
know
I,
just
I,
don't
want
to
try
to
Wordsmith
it
here.
Maybe
I
should
leave
this
and
finish
it
later.
A
A
I
can
come
back
and
edit
it
later
and
add
some
details.
Let
them
know
okay,
so
anyway,
I
mean
it's
an
ongoing
issue.
I,
it's
it's
a
question
that
I
get
all
the
time.
You
know
hey
I've
printed
devices
or
my
classroom
printed
devices.
You
know:
where
can
we
send
them
and
it's
it's
it's
frustrating
because
not
only
do
I
have
to
tell
them.
We
don't
really
have
a
mechanism
for
that
right
now,
but
there's
there's
clearly
an
assumption.
B
Before
we
go
to
the
next
post,
just
this
is
related
I
added
it.
At
the
end,
Michael
lie
chapter
leader
from
Stony
Brook.
He
sent
me
a
message
on
the
Hub
and
I
couldn't
because
of
technical
difficulties
with
the
site
this
week,
I
couldn't
respond
on
messenger,
so
I
I
commented
on
an
old
posts
that
he
had
made,
but
he
was
also
hoping
to
increase
visibility
and
find
clients
for
for
devices
and
didn't
know
how
how
to
do
that
and
was
wondering,
if
enable
had
a
a
mechanism
for
that.
So
it's.
A
And
unfortunately,
the
best
answer
we
can
give
is
is
we're
we're
very,
very
much
aware
of
the
the
need
and
we
have
active
efforts
going
and
I
think
we're
going
to
see
big
progress
in
this
area
throughout
2023.
It's
not
going
to
happen
tomorrow,
but
in
the
months
to
come,
I
do
think,
you'll
see
big
progress
and
as
we
develop
these
Outreach
processes
and
Partnerships
I
think
and
Adam
I,
don't
want
to
wait
is
Adam
still
here.
Yes,.
F
There
he
is
I'm
sorry
I
I
connected
my
laptop
enjoying
video
for
once
I.
A
I
think
I
think,
as
this
stuff
starts,
to
develop
and
unfold
more
we'll
be
able
to
do
a
better
job
of
then
starting
to
communicate
with
the
community.
Here's
what
you
can
do
to
kind
of
join
in
and
here's
what
you
can
do
to
help
with
you
know
spreading
the
word
and
that
sort
of
thing
so
anything
to
add
Adam.
F
I
I
lost
the
last
minute
of
conversation,
but
boy
I
have
had
an
exciting
week
on
this
front.
Actually,
so
I
met
with
ability,
KC
I'm,
going
to
steal
the
screen
and
I
don't
mean
this
isn't
going
to
be
a
long
tangent.
A
F
For
that
yes,
teaser
trailer,
yes,
I've
got
some
updates
in
this
front.
Nothing!
That's
like
hey.
I've
got
a
thousand
amputees
waiting
for
devices,
but
I
think
the
pathway
to
having.
A
A
So
this
there's
there
were
several
posts
from
Mike
Corson,
so
he's
a
retired
engineer,
3D
printing
for
a
couple
of
years
he's
asking
what
material
is
used,
the
most?
How
do
I
get
a
sample
design
approved?
Do
I
mail
it
somewhere
in
order
to
be
matched
with
a
person
needing
a
device?
How
many
maker
badges
do
I
need?
A
Do
I
need
to
have
made
samples
of
the
type
of
design
needed
by
the
recipient,
so
very
natural
questions,
and
and
probably
fairly
common
I,
see
he's
already
gotten
some
answers
here,
but
let's
partly
from
Connie.
Thank
you,
but
let's
kind
of
review
this
for
him.
So
as
far
as
the
material
Connie,
you
mentioned
that
the
most
common
are
pla
pet,
G
and
TPU
I
would
degree.
Let's
just
clarify
pet
G
is
the
recommended
material
for
enabled
devices
as
a
build
material.
A
You
can
use
pla
the
problem
and
what
you
want
to
be
careful
about
is:
where
is
the
device
going
if
it's
going
to
be
in
a
region
that
has
a
hotter
climate?
Pla
does
have
a
fairly
low
softening
point,
so
it
will
actually
start
to
deform
in
hotter
temperatures
or,
if
you
leave
it
in
a
hot
car
on
a
sunny
day,
that
sort
of
thing
pla
will
soften
and
start
to
deform.
A
So
if
it's
for
a
you
know
a
kid
in,
you
know
the
the
midwest
U.S,
that's
probably
fine,
especially
because
kids
outgrow
these
devices
much
more
quickly
or
break
them
more
quickly.
If
it's
for
somebody
in
you
know
a
much
hotter
region
and
an
adult
that's
going
to
be
putting
it
to
more,
you
know
day-to-day
use.
Pet
G
is
probably
a
better
choice.
A
It's
going
to
hold
up
a
lot
better,
Outdoors,
UV
heat
Etc,
it
just
is
a
more
robust
material
and
TPU
is
a
flexible
material
is
going
to
be
more
used
for
things
like
the
kinetic
hand,
where
you
have
those
the
hinge
components
and
certain
pieces
that
need
to
be
flexible,
it's
not
usually
used
for
the
overall
device,
so
definitely
get
started,
I
think
working
with
pet
G.
It
sounds
like
this
gentleman's
been
using
pla
as
long
as
your
printer
mic
has
a
heated
bed
which
I
assume
it
does.
A
A
He
also
asked
about
getting
a
design
approved.
So
I
assume
he's
seen
this.
It
sounds
like
he
stumbled
onto
our
badging
system,
but
if
you
know
right
here
in
the
hub,
if
you
go
to
badges
each
one
of
these
badges
describes
exactly
what
you
need
for
it.
So
under
the
maker
category
you
just
pick
a
design
that
you
want
to
start
with
and
I
would
recommend,
starting
with
one
of
our
recommended
designs.
A
So,
let's
hop
over
to
our
devices
page
here,
you
can
see
that
we
have
some
recommended
designs
listed
here,
including
the
Phoenix
hand
and
the
kinetic
hand
as
the
recommended
hand,
designs
and
then
the
unlimited
arm
as
the
arm
design.
So
you
pick
one
of
those
you
make
one
you
go
in
here
to
the
badges
section
under
under
maker,
and
you
pick
that,
whichever
one
you
did,
let's
say
you
did
the
kinetic
hand,
and
it
says
exactly
what
you
need
here.
So
you
basically
3D
print
and
assemble.
A
You
take
photos
that
clearly
show
the
quality
of
the
prince
and
how
they
were
assembled
and,
most
importantly,
take
a
video
and
that
video
should
show
you
manipulating
device,
bending
all
the
movable
parts
to
show
how
it,
how
it
functions
and
how
the
fingers
move
show.
Details
of
the
quality
mentioned,
the
type
of
printer
material
that
you
use
and
other
things
like
that.
A
When
you
click
on
claim
this
badge,
you
just
get
a
form
and
you
just
fill
in
exactly
what
it's
asking
for.
You
upload
your
image.
You
can
give
a
link
to
your
video
and
you
submit
that
badge
request,
so
you
don't
have
to
physically
send
your
devices
anywhere.
People
on
our
team
will
review
this,
that
what
you
submit
make
sure
everything
looks
okay,
provide
any
feedback
needed
and
award
your
badge
digitally
Mazz,
be
good
to
see
you
God
man,
it's
great
we've
got
Ben
and
mazvi.
A
Today,
wonderful,
haven't
seen
you
guys
in
a
while.
Let's
see
that
was
a
new
member
with
questions,
he
also
asks
about.
Forearm
printing
same
guy
is
trying
to
make
an
unlimited
arm,
but
the
forearm
piece
is
too
big
for
his
printer,
so
he's
asking
about
how
to
break
him
apart
and
there's
some
comments
about.
Well,
it
can
be
done,
but
it
doesn't
hold
up
as
well
and
you
gotta
mess
with
joints
and
stuff
like
that.
A
I
did
mention
I,
don't
know
if
this
is
a
worth
pursuing
or
not,
but
I
just
became
aware
of
this
stuff.
The
other
day
I
have
not
tried
it
myself,
but
supposedly
look
at
this
little
animation
there.
This
supposedly
creates
enormously
strong
bonds
between
3D
printed
Parts
might
be
worth
trying
as
a
way
of
avoiding
complex
joints.
Just
you
know,
do
flat
edges,
just
slice
it
flat
and
then
glue
them
together
with
this
stuff.
They
have
a
version
for
pla,
pet
G
and
abs.
A
As
far
as
I
can
tell
so
I'm
going
to
put
the
link
there.
If
somebody
tries
it,
let
me
know
how
that
works.
Just
seemed
like
it
might
be:
a
viable
option
and
I
I
thought
somewhere
I
in
the
past
I
remember:
I,
I
haven't
made
the
arms
myself,
but
I
thought
somebody
actually
uploaded
a
split
version
that
actually
had
been
separated
into
smaller
pieces.
Does
anybody
know
about
that?
Is
there
something
like
that
on
thingiverse,
like
an
unlimited
arm
for
smaller
printers,
or
something
like
that?
A
I
thought
I
had
seen
that
at
one
point:
okay!
Well,
if
anyone
comes
across
that,
let's
share
it
here,
but
otherwise
the
best
I
can
do
is
point
you
to
that
3D
gloop
mic,
maybe
that'll
help
you
I
Believe
by
the
way
I
haven't
used
this,
but
I,
don't
know
if
you're
using
I
use,
Cura
I,
don't
know
if
that's
the
slice
you're
using,
but
if
I
remember
correctly,
I
think
they
added
in
functionality
and
cure
to
actually
split
your
parts
right
within
the
slicing
software.
A
Now,
so
you
can
split
them
into
multiple
pieces
without
even
having
to
mess
around
with
cat
or
mesh
editing,
soft
or
any
of
that.
Well,
I
won't
mess
around
with
trying
to
find
it
now,
but
you
might
take
a
peek
and
cure
I
think
they
have
that
that
functionality
built
right
in
there.
Now,
let's
go
to
our
next
one
here,
also
from
Mike
asking
about
badges.
Oh
I
think
this
was
a
glitch.
That's
been
taken
care
of,
so
he
was
saying,
badges
disappeared
and
then
he
was
getting
errors
when
clicking
on
them.
A
Everything
got
it
got
it
okay,
so
that's
all
resolved
now
and
we'll
talk
about
some
of
the
other
updates
here.
Maybe
in
a
little
bit
pink
on
shape,
Hank
is
basically
he
looks
like
he
stumbled
on
to
some
details
about
people
using
on
shape.
The
the
folks
in
it
looks
like
France
we're
talking
about
why
they're,
using
on
shape
for
Designing
their
projects,
that's
a
post,
I
hadn't
seen,
and
then
he
found
his
way
to
our
proposal
on
lumio,
where
we
were
developing.
A
This
enable
configurator
software
as
a
project
that
we
were
working
on
along
with
a
new
design
called
the
Evo
hand,
and
neither
the
software
nor
the
design
ever
saw
the
light
of
day
in
the
end,
because
our
team
kind
of
fell
apart.
A
They
you
know,
people
got
full-time
jobs
and
and
we
had
to
go
in
different
directions,
but
both
the
software
and
the
design
are
are
actually
pretty
close
to
the
finish
line,
and
so
it
would
be
interesting
to
maybe
revisit
that
someday
I
don't
want
to
get
too
far
into
that
now,
but
he
is
asking
here
if
this
project
is
still
going
on.
A
Unfortunately,
no
it's
not
but
I
would
be
very
happy
to
share
the
the
the
the
sort
of
the
as
far
as
we
got
on
both
of
those
the
software
and
the
the
cad
modeling,
which
was
being
done
in
Fusion
360,
as
well
as
on
shape.
If
anyone
wants
to
look
at
what
we
did
and
maybe
try
to
move
that
forward,
but
anyways
sorry.
E
If
you
say
a
real
on-shape
Aficionado,
he
could
conceivably
become
a
new
Champion
for
those
projects,
so
asking
him
to
tell
us
a
little
bit
more
about
himself
and
his
interests
might
be
good.
A
Absolutely
yeah
so
he's
basically
just
making
the
case
for
on
shape
here,
which
you
know
preaching
the
choir
I
think
we
we
determined
a
long
while
back
that
onshape
could
be
a
really
good
fit
for
our
community,
especially
because
of
the
ability
to
support
more
kind
of
fully
parametric
designs
and
being
able
to
collaborate
more
easily.
And,
of
course
it
is
a
fully
functional
free
program,
the
only
limitation
on
the
free
licenses.
You
can't
have
private
designs,
they
have
to
be
shared,
which
seems
to
work
just
fine
for
our
community.
So
apologies.
A
Onshape
is
a
cloud-based
CAD
platform
which.com.
You
can
set
up
a
free
account
for
yourself
and
let
me
just
sign
into
my
enable
account
here
real
quick
and
it
is
a
full
full-blown
CAD
package
in
in
the
cloud,
so
it
has
all
the
capabilities
of
something
like
Fusion
360..
You
know
that
has
you
know
very
Advanced
capabilities,
but
it
operates
entirely
in
your
browser
or
on
mobile
devices.
You
can
use
this
on
an
iPad
and
things
like
that.
A
So
it's
a
great
platform.
We
just
never.
You
know
we
never
really
went
all
the
way
with
our
project
and
what
was
I
going
to
say.
Oh,
it
was
if,
if
yeah
we'll
have
to
reach
out
to
this
guy
because
he
might
be
able
to
help
us
kind
of
finish
up
that
design
get
it
into
on
shape,
there
was
another.
There
was
a
presentation
made
by
and
I,
don't
remember
his
name
John,
who
is
the
guy
that
was
doing
development
work
for
us
in
in
this
team?.
A
Alexander,
no,
no,
no,
the
it
was
a
guy
here
in
the
U.S.
He
went
and
got
a.
He
was
working
on
a
non-profit
and
remember.
A
E
A
Oh
Andrew,
yes,
that's
not
a
blank
on
the
name,
but
I
think
it
was.
It
was
Andrew
so
anyway,
Andrew
had
a
friend
who
gave
us
a
full
like
one
hour
presentation
at
one
point
about
different
CAD
platforms
focusing
on
onshape
and
why
we
should
really
be
using
ownership.
We
got
to
find
that
presentation.
I,
don't
know
Ben,
you
might
know
where.
That
is
because
it
was
one
of
the
focus
follow-ups,
I
think
I'd
love
to
post
a
link
to
that
here
to
go
with
this
with
this
post.
A
So
let's
follow
up
on
that
I'm
going
to
leave
this
one
open,
because
I
want
to
come
back,
maybe
and
try
to
reply
to
him
later.
Sarah.
A
B
E
Me
just
say
on
this
theme:
I
Ward
Cunningham,
not
working.
Oh,
we
have
a
word
right.
E
Holloway
there
you
go,
he
was
at
a
recent
meeting,
so
he's
still
in
the
game.
He
also
is
an
on-shaped
user
and
voice
part
of
that
team.
So
you
know
it's
possible
that
we
could.
You
know,
pull
together
a
group
to
work
on
the
evil
hand.
I
still
think,
that's
the
sweet
spot
that
we
really
I
would
love
to
see
it
ripen.
F
Be
just
a
quick
search
on
the
Hub
shows
a
lot
of
posts
from
2015
2016
about
onshape,
a
couple
of
links
to
what
appear
to
be
recordings
and
then,
as
recently
as
2020,
some
discussion
about
it.
Yeah.
A
A
A
Great,
let's
see,
badges
Hank
answer:
okay,
Assad
in
Turkey,
okay,
basically
bringing
attention
to
the
situation
in
Turkey,
which
is
first
up
on
our
agenda
here
today.
We're
going
to
be
talking
about
this
more
I
was
glad
to
see
that
zainab
came
in
and
responded
because
she's
in
the
best
position
to
do
so.
She
is
on
the
ground
there
and
just
doing
tremendous
work
to
try
to
help
people
on
the
ground,
and
we
had
a
call
with
her
which
we'll
talk
about
and
discuss
how
we
can
support
them.
A
What
would
or
would
not
be
helpful,
unfortunately,
at
this
point
it
looks
like
just
you
know:
printing
devices
and
sending
them
is
probably
not
what
they
need.
They.
They
need
help
in
a
lot
of
different
areas.
Probably
mostly
it
boils
down
to
funding.
You
know
they.
They
have
people
and
they
have
capabilities,
but
they
need
help
on
the
funding
side.
To
get
get
people
the
help
they
need
because
they're
not
getting
it
from
the
government
right
now.
A
So
we'll
talk
more
about
that
in
a
moment,
and
then
we
covered
this
last
one
Michael
Lee.
So
let's
move
on
here
so
we
can
get
into
our
actual
discussion
topics.
I,
don't
have
any
upcoming
one-time
events
and
I
think
we're
done
with
our
recurring
meetings
for
the
month,
except
for
these
Town
Halls.
So
we'll
get
a
March
schedule
up
soon,
but
we
don't
have
anything
coming
up
in
the
immediately
in
the
immediate
future.
A
F
A
Not
the
best
person
to
do
this.
Well,
why
don't
I?
Why
don't
I
pull
up
your
emails?
Since
you
already
did
such
a
nice
job
laughs,
let's
see
yeah,
and
was
it
not
that
one
there's
zainep
situation
report
here
we
go
John,
my
notes.
So,
oh,
let's
see
they
talked
a
lot
about
ngos
that
they're
working
with
their
amputations
are,
of
course,
an
issue.
They
have
volunteers,
they
have
prints.
Medical
supplies
and
warships
are
arriving
to
be
used
as
Hospital
ships.
That
is
so
that's
not.
The
shortage.
A
Coordination
is
the
limited
resource,
short
term
and
long
term.
She
says
that
the
state
is
essentially
failed.
Runways
of
collapse,
hospitals
of
collapse.
Some
ships
are
being
used
as
hospitals,
like
I,
said.
A
lot
of
International
Help
seems
to
be
rescue
teams,
let's
see
so
they
had
a
Partnerships
in
the
orthopedic
unit
in
the
region
and
they're
in
touch
with
them.
They
said:
don't
come,
they
don't
have
food,
they
don't
have
heating.
They
just
need
to
get
the
basics
before
they
could
help.
Anyone
or
even
have
people
come
to
provide
help.
A
A
Well,
I'm
not
going
to
go
through
all
these,
but
again,
I
think
what
my
takeaway
here
it
is
down
here.
You
know
what
can
we
do
for
now
and
she
basically
said
funding.
We
need
funding
they're
negotiating
for
150
000,
that's
US
dollars
worth
in
Grants.
They
were
in
that
process
when
the
earthquakes
hit,
and
so
of
course,
that
just
kind
of
stalled
that
whole
process,
because
those
organizations
are
probably
all
shut
down.
A
Now,
approvals
are
not
going
to
happen,
and
so
funding
that
might
have
been
coming
through
very
soon
for
them
is
now
going
to
be
pushed
off
right
when
they
need
it
most
before
the
earthquake.
They
already
needed
75k
for
the
things
that
they
sort
of
had
in
there
on
their
radar.
They
need
technical
support.
A
So,
for
example,
an
above
elbow
amputee
reached
out.
They
don't
really
have
a
lot
of
experience
with
those
sort
of
harness-oriented
designs
and
so
they're
they're
saying
they
could
use
advice
for
some
of
those
more
difficult
cases.
They
could
use
help
on
imported
materials.
I
already
reached
out
to
my
partners
that
we
buy
supplies
for
for
our
kits,
which
include
the
two
things
that
cnep
said
they
needed
most
right
now
were
those
gel
fingertip
grips
and
the
foam
padding
so
I
reached
out
to
both
of
those
companies.
I
want
to
thank
lead.
A
The
league
Product
Company,
who
makes
these
Lee
Tippy
gel
grips.
They
donated
1440
of
those
gel
grips
and
those
are
being
shipped
directly
to
them
in
in
Turkey.
I
have
not
heard
back
yet
from
the
company
that
does
the
foam
padding.
That's
a
bigger
company
I,
don't
know
whether
or
not
whether
or
not
they'll
get
on
board,
but
I
did
put
an
inquiry
through
to
them
as
well.
D
A
My
thought
was:
can
we
get
together
some
kind
of
a
crowdfunding
campaign
here,
I
I
know
they're
already
doing
that
in
their
area
and
I
even
saw
on
their
website
on
you
on.
Let
me
pull
it
up
here.
Real
quick
robot
tell
they
actually
have
a
donations
area
on
their
website
where
they
have
the
ability
to
hold
on
I
gotta
translate
this.
A
If
you
go
under
donation
here,
maybe
this
wasn't
where
it
was.
They
have
a
here
fundraising
campaigns,
so
they
actually
make
it
so
that
you
can
write
through
their
website.
You
can
start
a
new
campaign
here
and
basically
just
fill
in
your
details
and
I
I
didn't
go
through
this,
so
I
don't
know
what
this
leads
to,
but
it
looks
like
they
actually
help.
A
You
set
up
a
crowdfunding
campaign,
but
I'm
guessing
just
based
on
the
language
that
it's
kind
of
geared
more
towards
that
that
region
and
and
that
language
and
so
I,
was
thinking.
Maybe
we
should
talk
about
getting
one
going
in
English
and
promoting
it
more
here
in
the
you
know
in
our
in
our
U.S
region
and
see
if
we
can
get
some
financial
support
going
for
them.
What
do
you?
What
do
you
guys
think
on
getting
something
like
that
going
and
promoting
that
within
our
community?
Any
thoughts.
G
E
E
In
in
the
meeting
with
zainab,
what
impressed
me
was
that
she
seemed
first
of
all,
she
was
adapting
to
the
new
reality.
E
She
was
being
pretty
systematic
about
figuring
out
what
is
the
right
way
to
reorganize
and
to
get
things
done,
it's
not
clear
yet
what
needs
they
have
and
the
role
they're
going
to
play,
but
they're
a
big
presence
in
turkey
and
they're
likely
to
become
part
of
the
solution,
which
is
why,
at
this
point,
money
is
the
only
obvious
thing
she
could
say
we
need
help
on
and
she
I
expect
her
to
come
back
and
say:
okay,
here's
where
it
stands.
A
I
would
I
would
look
at
this
more
as
fundraising
to
just
support
the
people
in
desperate
need
in
Turkey,
not
necessarily
specifically
for
enable
prosthetic
devices
the
the
way
that
they
will
use.
This
funding
might
include
getting
a
roof
over
people's
heads,
getting
them
basic,
Medical
Care.
You
know
this
funding
will
go
where
needed,
because
you
know
zainep
and
her
groups
of
collaborators.
E
C
G
A
Well,
it's
something
that
we
could
explore,
but
right
now
everything
we've
heard
from
zainep.
Is
that
that's
not
what
they
need
right
now
they
have
enough
devices,
they
have
the
ability
to
print
devices
as
needed.
So
that's
not
really
their
greatest
area
of
need.
Okay,
maybe
that'll
change.
You
know
once
they
get
things
more
organized
and
kind
of
get
the
basic.
You
know
sort
of
life
critical
needs
addressed.
A
G
Mean
Turkish
Airlines
I
have
a
friend
that's
from
Turkey,
and
she
mentioned
that
Turkish
Airline
is
indeed
offering
to
ship
donations
because
she's
in
you
know
looking
for
donations
working
with
non-profits
also
over
there.
G
There
is
a
medical
conference
that
is
happening
in
Turkey
this
weekend,
specifically
speaking
about
amputees
and
the
need
for
Prosthetics,
so
she's
in
touch
with
surgeons
that
work
there.
We
both
worked
in
the
medical
device
sector,
and
you
know
there
is
a
need
for
Prosthetics.
I
know
that
that's
not
the
most
pressing
need
right
now
for
the
country
as
a
whole.
G
There
definitely
is
a
need
based
on
the
feet
on
the
street,
with
the
surgeons
and
so.
A
A
A
Would
hope
they
could
one
of
the
at
least
somebody
on
their
team
could
attend
that
and
then
report
back
to
us,
because
that
that
could
very
well
open
up
new
opportunities
for
assistance.
Yeah.
E
E
One
of
the
interesting
things
about
this
is
that
we
often
want
to
help,
but
we
don't
have
a
good
contact
on
the
ground
in
the
case
of
zainab.
She
is
she
and
her
organization
are
the
perfect
contact,
and
so
we
are
eager
to
support
them
and
right
now,
they're
saying
stand
by.
However,
if
you
have
another
channel
to,
for
example,
the
conference
that's
happening
immediately
that
deals
with
this
need
and
you
get
an
additional
perspective.
That
would
be
really
good
to
know
about
absolutely.
E
May
certainly
I
would
encourage
you
to
find
out
what
you
can
about
this
conference
talk
to
your
friend
and
feel
free
to
reach
out
to
zaynet.
You
know
it
was
clear
from
talking
to
her
and
from
her
message
in
the
hub
that
our
caring
about
their
well-being
is
itself
a
form
of
support
that
she
does
get
some
sustenance
from.
So
you
know,
without
distracting
or
pushing
her
to
do
things
that
she
thinks
are
not
a
good
use
of
her
time.
Reaching
out
would
be
a
good
thing.
A
Right,
my
feeling
is,
there
are
going
to
be
a
lot
of
ways
that
our
community
can
help
and
support
them
over
time,
but
the
immediate
need
seems
to
be
funding.
I
I,
at
least
the
impression
I
was
left
with,
is
that
they
have
quite
a
few
capable
people
ready
to
help.
They
need
the
funding
to
be
able
to
do
what
they
need
to
do,
and
so
that's
why
I
was
thinking
a
crowdfunding
campaign,
something
that
we
could
spin
up
very
quickly
and
you
know,
are
we
going
to
raise
the
you
know,
75,
trying.
