From YouTube: My PhD overview at 3point Science
Description
Showing SimPEG (http://simpeg.xyz) and motivation behind quantitative geoscience communication.
A
This
is
why
I'm
useful
a
bit
of
how
of
what
sort
of
things
three
points
to
get
out
of
this,
so
this
is
sort
of
a
talk
on
working
towards
allah,
geophysics
attackers
and
really
talk
about
some
of
the
geophysics,
with
really
working
with
systems,
multidisciplinary
team,
on
behind
it
and
sort
of
increasing
the
communication
in
so
as
geologists,
geophysicists
geosciences,
we're
sort
of
interested
in
what
is
going
on.
So
this
is
what
we
process.
A
A
It
gets
a
little
bit
more
complicated.
So
it's
almost
a
method
that
people
go
out
and
collect
are
so
gravity,
so
you'd
like
go
out
into
a
survey,
and
you
like
have
your
spring
very
sophisticated
spring
with
the
math
on
that
end
to
be
very
sensitive
and
then
I
would
go
over
some
bar
tending
to
watch
stuff
under
the
ground.
A
Xo,
your
beauty
substance,
you
do
is
compass
and
you
can
measure
some
sort
of
magnetism
under
the
ground
or
you
could
hook
up
a
battery
to
the
ground
in
Jackson
current
and
one
side
of
it
goes
through
the
ground,
and
then
you
have
all
these
voltmeters
I
do
sort
of
measure.
What
level
you
could
use
sighs
nexus
with
Brendan
and
his
PhD
UNC
set
off
some
explosions.
A
You
away
the
menu
set
of
receivers
out
there,
where
you
could
use
magnetotelluric,
which
is
sort
of
wave
electromagnetic
waves
that
are
just
in
the
atmosphere
that
are
that
we
can
measure
the
ratio
between
the
electrical
magnetic
sources
to
figure
out.
What's
going
on
so
I
guess
one
of
the
pieces
that
you
VP
was
working
on
a
lot
with
the
case
study
up
in
Northwest
Territories
I'm
called
PAP,
which
is
sort
of
a
prospective
timeline,
and
so
this
is
actually
the
three-point
software.
A
We
were
shooting
to
view
an
interactive
meaning
or
Emma.
So,
just
as
like
I
want
to
go
through
this
again
quickly
with
some
other
pictures,
so
maybe
go
I.
Would
you
collect
bits,
gravity,
German?
And
then
you
got
this
map
of
sort
of
where
the
low-density
stuff
is
where
the
high-density
stuff
is.
But
this
is
just
your
iya,
so
this
doesn't
actually
call
me
directly
about
desi,
so
you
have
to
sort
of
fact
propagate
the
model
this
here.
A
So
that's
one
method:
you
might
go
in
there
and
you
might
do
another
system
magnetic
tells
us
only
differently,
so
the
fiscal
Rassi,
how
dense
something
is
versus
house
magnetic
something
is
we
can
just
sort
of
do
that
thing?
Sort
of
interpretation
go
through
that
stuff.
This
is
folks
and
inversion.
We
go
from
data
to
a
model
and
I
interpret
it,
and
so
now
we're
just
going
to
play
this
thing
about
each
other.
Maybe
we'll
do
another
one
of
the
right
grant,
resistivity
something
Icarus
food
grants
or
negative
lyrics.
A
So
really
what
we're
getting
at
is
that
there
is
lots
of
different
physical
properties
that
are
telling
you
something
about
subsurface,
and
from
this
we
can
then
sort
of
interest,
and
so
I
was
saying
this
is
a
respected,
I'm
annoying.
Well,
we
know
that
kimberlites,
where
that's
not
my
sort
of
this.
A
You
wanted
look
all
of
the
intrusions
that
hosts
done
so
that
by
killing
it
and
on
coming
up
legacy,
moderates
accessibility
and
modern
science,
ism
and
high
quantity-
and
so
we
can
just
sort
of
draw-
and
this
is
exit
synthetic
wants-
the
week-
knew
what
support
or
what
be
physical
properties
upward.
So
we're
sort
of
tapping
our
elders
in
here,
but
this
is
in
three,
and
so
we
moving
photography
exceed
all
of
these
different
methods,
maybe
its
access
them
in
some
way
and
then
soon
as
we're.
A
That's
that's
really
sort
of
where
Sciences
is
like
we,
we
have
these.
All
of
the
abilities
to
do
all
of
these
methods,
separatists,
and
then
you
can
sort
of
lay
them
on
top
of
each
other,
make
you
some
fancy
way
of
putting
them
together,
but
really
in
quantitative
nice
come
together.
That
sort
of
where
we
are
very
loyal
to
deal.
A
So
this
is
like
one
way
to
look
at
us.
There's
like
all
these
methods
like
fluid
flow
over
here
and
then
director,
Andrew,
Tiffany
electromagnetic
learning
and
deals
with
Max
grass
and
then
geology
over
here.
Is
there
inserting
a
third
sort
of
drawing
some
pictures
and
they
are
doing
aria
for
exactly
what
we
process
is
fancy
interpolation
geological.
A
So
we
go
out.
We
collect
some
data
and
from
all
of
these
different
data,
we
create
a
bunch
of
models
and
good
where
Sciences
is
actually
to
model
reason
for
fun
more
fun,
but
using
few
methods
of
the
same
time
to
tell
you
what,
like,
a
better
one,
what
the
cell
purposely
explicitly
said:
scopus
data
something
this
was
mike.
My
PhDs
actually
initially
focused
on
the
sort
of
near
surface
flow
side
of
things.
A
To
write
it
down
and
then
just
start
doing,
software
at
this
point
is
good.
To
take
that
framework
diagram.
Do
a
method
implemented.
Add
another
meses
figure
out
what
your
ideas
the
whole.
What
needs
to
happen?
Sort
of
change
these
things,
I,
don't
have
a
network
with
other
people
and
sort
of
like
this
thing
that
you're
trying
to
do,
which
is
this
juice,
is
extreme.
Work
for
modeling
conversion
is
sort
of
getting
some
structure.
A
So
this
might
coordinator
Glencoe
degrade
modeling
ten
people
over
four
years
and
then
put
all
together
and
try
to
figure
out
how
that
works
in
the
way
in
so
there
is
excess
instructor
in
here,
which
is
interesting
speed
but
like
I
guess
at
some
point
like.
Why
would
you
even
want
to
eat
it?
Come
and
I
think
that?
A
Well,
if
you're,
if
you're
organized
event
thing,
they
need
to
significantly
lower
the
barrier
to
entry
of
mathematical
equation,
so
I
device
gave
someone
this,
but
like
that's
hopeful
to
a
mathematician,
so
it's
not
helpful
to
imply
subsistence
seems
to
be
as
I
translate
the
math
in
the
code
in
the
scissors
and
that's
much
easier
issing,
performance
associate
software
side.
It's
the
way
things
are
organized.
You
can
get
it
to
you,
people
this
is
undergrads.
This
is
using
counterpoints
and
not
dirty
stuff
Michael.
A
A
But
you've
actually
written
it
down
with
code
rather
than
in
a
paper
which
would
be
on
the
Sun
things
like
they
have
now
resumed.
They
won't
tell
girls
about
it.
They
write
these
boxes
and
create
a
picture
and
send
it
to
a
journal
and
that's
helpful
some
extent.
But
you
can't
reuse
this.
You
can
target
it
where
this
is
in
software.
You
can
do
really
interesting
things
with
us
and
these
mix
for
the
algorithm
visualize
them
I
see
how
they're
connected
and.
A
The
native
pictures
of
creating
this
is
like
the
top
two
meters
of
soil,
seeing
some
convenience
and
louis
tend
to
include
flows
through
that
I'm
system
of
the
stuff
that
Michael
was
just
talking
about
in
terms
of
visualizing
turn
left
frozen,
interactively
senior
frogs
are
getting
a
sub
L
sub
exciting
on
video.
Specific
students
can
put
ten
recess
time
in
some
way,
connect
all
of
these
methods
together
and
also
I
warrants
on
the
way
to
interact
with
geologic
methods
and
tribulations
and
interpretations
on
the
dirge
in
a
very
different
place
than
the
Jews
school.
So.
