TMRG - GitLab Generational Understanding
An overview of this Team Member Resource Group
A
Hi,
my
name
is
wayne
haber,
I'm
based
in
atlanta
georgia
in
the
u.s.
My
job
is
director
of
engineering
for
the
threat,
management
and
growth
teams.
So
I'm
gonna
talk
today
about
the
generational
understanding
team
member
resource
group,
where
the
mission
is
really
to
give
members
of
all
ages
a
safe
space
to
talk
about
the
differences
in
age
and
how
people
like
to
work
and
how
they
like
to
interact
and
how
those
differences
can
be
really
leveraged
for
everyone
to
be
successful
and
will
come
and
be
successful.
A
We
did
a
book
club
on
the
book
wisdom
at
work,
which
is
a
very
interesting
book
by
someone
who
was
a
quote,
unquote,
modern
elder
someone
who
who
joined
him
was
an
advisor
to
the
ceo
of
airbnb,
which
is
very,
he
had
a
very
interesting
experience.
We
also
done
a
number
of
different
things
on
updating
our
handbook
page
to
put
out
there
not
only
for
team
members,
but
for
the
public
on
our
various
best
practices
we
found
and
interesting
articles
etc
about
ageism
and
we've
also
done
some
discussions
actually
on
the
plato.
A
Plato
hq
platform,
which
is
not
just
git,
led
team
members
but
open
to
the
general
public
to
discuss
ageism.
Some
of
the
very
tangible
things
we've
done
in
addition
to
that
or
is
we
did
some
handbook
updates
making
said
it's
okay
for
candidates
to
not
put
dates
on
portions
of
their
resume.
That
can
be
directly
used
to
determine
how
old
someone
is,
but
also
putting
taking
other
things
into
account
like
talking
about
skills
and
a
fit
for
the
company,
but
not
focusing
on
specifically
how
old
someone
is.
