From YouTube: 9. Advice for B2B Salespeople
Description
Interview with an IT Agility Director
Question: What separates a great vendor or sales person from an average vendor or salesperson? If you could offer one piece of advice to B2B salespeople, what would that be and why?
A
So
the
advice
that
I
would
give
you
know
a
vendor
someone
in
sales
who's
reaching
out
to
an
IT
director.
It's
like
anything
else.
You
have
to
be
focused
on
developing
a
relationship
regardless
of
whatever
it
is.
I
know.
This
sounds
really
simple,
but
I.
Think
one
piece
of
advice
is
to
just
be
real.
You
know
be
yourself,
you
know,
focus
on
developing
a
relationship
with
that
person
and
and
really
just
being
honest
and
be
yourself,
I.
Think.
A
The
second
piece
is,
you
know,
anytime,
that
you're
talking
with
anybody
or
anytime
that
you
know,
for
instance,
when
I'm
trying
to
pitch
an
idea
for
my
program
to
someone
else.
You
know
within
the
company.
You
always
have
to
ask
yourself:
what's
in
it,
for
that
person
and
and
how
do
I,
you
know
convince
it
convince
them
that
this
is
the
right
thing
for
them.
So
you
know
our
digital
transformation
team
had
a
mantra
fall
in
love
with
a
problem,
so
I
think
that's
the
advice.
A
A
You
know
that
there's
a
realness
to
addressing
the
problem
that
they
have
and
being
able
to
show
that
you
truly
understand
it
I
think
is
key.
Also
make
sure
you
don't
go
to
the
point
of
promising
something
that
the
product
doesn't
do
or
stretching
those
capabilities.
I
think
it's
okay
to
say:
I,
don't
know,
or
it's
okay
to
bring
in.
You
know
someone
from
your
technical
team
when
it
gets
to
that
point,
but
just
to
be
real
and
be
honest
and
really
fall
in
love
with
the
problem
that
they're
having.
