Hi, uh I'm suzy uh the engineer manager of the application performance team at bitlab. Today, I'm going to go over our 155 milestone planning.

The first topic: I'm going to cover is ruby 3 upgrade as we communicated earlier. The ruby 2 end of life support is expected to happen in march 2023. So we hope to finish the upgrade before that.

This is a very complicated process, as it touches many aspects of gita stack. The work has been going for a while in 155 we will be looking at the following plant areas.

First, we are conducting an audit um on the github rules dependencies for ruby, 3 compatibility. This is a best effort approach, we'll try to lower the risk of running into potential compatibility issues during the upgrade.

The other issue that we are going to work on is to add ruby, 3, build for all gitlab libraries to make sure the ruby 3 compatibility in those libraries other than the planned work there could be unplanned issues coming out of the process will address those when they appear.

The next feature I'm going to talk about is the puma long-term memory use under this epic. We have a sub epic, which is about uploading diagnostic reports to google cloud storage.

We have done our poc for this work in 154 in 155. We are going to finish the implementation.

The next feature, I'm going to talk, uh is to show the preset metrics exporter on vf.com.

A

This project is a golden implementation to replace the functionality of dtrac exporter and in-app ruby promises, exporter and put them in one place with improved performance.

We have done most of the work for the phase one in 15-5. We are going to close out the remaining issues for the face one and show it out on our sas platform.

A

The last uh not the list feature we will look into its epic about fixing and fine-tuning psychic memory killer. We have done a lot of improvements in the past few milestones.

We still have a couple of unanswered uh questions where we already discussed in the planning issue. You can find more details here in 155, we'll try to figure out a solution and have an exit plan for this epic.
