From YouTube: SEO status update close of Q1 2021 (April)
Description
Seeing continued growth and positive impact as a result of various initiatives as we close out the first quarter period of 2021.
A
Hi,
everyone
now
kriegen
here
from
the
inbound
marketing
team,
just
doing
a
quick
seo
update
video
for
the
end
of
q1
just
to
quickly
look
over
and
analyze.
Some
of
the
impact
we've
seen
from
initiatives
as
we
gain
traction
and
move
forward
into
q2,
currently
just
looking
at
data
that
is
provided
through
google
search
console,
which
is
the
information
aggregated
about,
or
interactions
in,
the
search
results
in
terms
of
clicks.
A
So
people
clicking
through
on
our
results
from
search
into
the
internal
website
and
also
impressions
of
people
who
just
type
in
a
search
and
then
one
of
our
results
come
up
within
that
search
and
becomes
an
impression
to
that.
So,
as
we
can
see
here,
we're
just
looking
at
the
last
quarter,
the
last
three
months
versus
the
previous
three
months.
A
So
in
terms
of
impressions,
we
see
we've
gone
from
40
million
to
47.7
million,
which
is
a
19
increase
in
impressions
and
then
in
terms
of
total
clicks,
which
is
the
more
important
is
that
these
are
people
actually
interacting
with
our
results
and
becoming
entrances
into
the
website.
We
have
seen
it
go
from
2.2
million
or
2.0
to
a
minute
to
2.47
million,
which
is
a
increase
of
22
percent.
So
that's
a
really
good
solid
gain
in
in
terms
of
or
year-over-year
progression.
A
So
if
we
look
at
impressions
we're
going
from
23.8
to
47.7
million,
so
that
is
nearly
100
increase
with
or
impression
rate,
and
that
would
be
reflective
of
the
the
increase
we're
getting
in
organic
results
through
to
or
optimization
of
terms,
so
we're
gaining
traction
and
ownership
of
specific
results
and
pushing
them
towards
the
page
one
and
then
gaining
more
impressions,
and
we
can
see
a
reflection
in
the
clicks
where
we
were
at
the
first
three
months
of
last
year.
A
Last
year's
quarter
first
quarter
1.42
million,
which
is
now
2.47
million.
So
that's
a
74
increase
in
people
clicking
through
to
our
website
for
organic
results
based
on
the
year-over-year
data.
So
that
is
some
good,
solid
gains
and
traction
and
reflection
of
the
implementations
that
are
going
on
across
teams,
which
is
great,
and
the
second
bit
I
want
to
add,
is
in
terms
of
some
of
the
positionings
we
were
trying
to
consolidate
through
q1.
So
one
of
the
primary
targets
was
devos
platform.
A
We
had
a
number
of
urls
which
were
competing
internally
for
the
devops
platform
term.
It
was
identified.
The
solutions
page
should
take
the
lead
on
that,
and
so
through
a
bit
of
reworking
in
the
background
in
terms
of
internal
linking
stuff
to
indicate
the
priority
page,
we
have
gone
from
what
would
have
been
no
results
or
or
what's
logged
here
as
position
96
within
the
60-day
period.
A
Go
that
to
three
months,
it'll
probably
be
zero,
and
but
now
we're
in
position
four,
and
if
I
check
this
in
the
incognito
mode
or
you
could
need
a
mode
earlier
on
today-
and
it's
actually
showing
up
position
three
for
me.
So
there's
probably
a
little
bit
of
a
gaining
and
fluctuation
going
on
there,
and
but
we
we've
reduced
any
any
internal
conflict
for
the
term.
Another
page
that
was
a
term
that
was
being
targeted,
was
git
ups,
so
there's
a
topics
page
produced
around
git
ops,
and
this
has
now
been
consolidated
into
position.
A
Five
in
search
results,
so
there's
some
really
good
gains
and
we're
identifying
consolidating
positions
for
the
terms
and
targets
that
we
outlined
within
that
period
and
just
wanted
to
update
everyone
on
the
performance
and
just
a
reflection
of
the
work
that
has
been
implemented
and
gone
on
across
the
various
teams.
So
thanks
everybody
for
the
input
and
hope
to
another
update
soon,
thanks
bye.
