From YouTube: Support Ops - Calendly - Creating event types
Description
Jason Colyer, Support Operations Manager, takes us through creating event types in Calendly
A
A
This
will
start
by
locating
your
team,
so
we'll
do
get
lab
support
and
after
that
you're
going
to
come
to
this
new
event,
type
button
and
click
back
from
here
countley
will
actually
guide
you
through
the
process.
Now.
The
first
thing
they're
going
to
need
to
know
is
what
type
of
event
is.
This
is
a
round-robin,
collective
or
group.
A
Knowing
the
difference
between
them
is
important
brown
robin
it
cycles
between
multiple
team
members,
there's
different
ways
that
it
decides
who
it's
actually
picking
collective
is
a
great
event
type
when
there
are
let's
say
we're
getting
five
support.
Engineers
involved
in
this
call
collective
is
great
for
those
types
because
it'll
look
at
all
their
availabilities
and
show
you
when
all
five
people
are
available.
Now
group
is
kind
of
like
collective,
but
it's
not
really
looking
at
everybody's
availability.
It's
just
letting
you
attach
multiple
us
invitees
to
the
schedule
itself.
A
Traditionally
speaking,
we're
going
to
go
with
round
robin
when
we
make
event
types
so
we'll
go
ahead
and
do
that
and
kind
of
just
go
for
making
a
round-robin
event
the
next
page
after
you've
selected.
The
type
is
going
to
be
your
basic
event.
Details
now
here
we're
going
to
say:
what's
the
event
name,
we're
going
to
call
this
test
event.
What's
the
description
or
instructions
again,
we'll
do
test
events
or
training
purposes,
the
event
link.
A
You
can
customize
this,
so
we
could
make
it
like
test
it
two
two
two
two
two
two,
but
we
could
just
leave
it
as
default
by
default.
It
will
use
kebab
casing
or,
if
you're
not
familiar
with
that
term
spaces
are
basically
turned
into
hyphens
everything's
lowercase.
You
can
also
choose
the
event
color.
We
tend
to
default
to
purple
because
get
lab,
but
you
can
use
different
colors
if
you
so
think
it's
necessary
clicking.
A
The
blue
next
button
will
bring
you
to
your
next
page
and
the
next
page
is
managing
when
people
can
book
the
event.
Now,
there's
a
lot
to
this,
I
would
recommend
reviewing
the
video
for
managing
event.
Types
it'll
go
way
more
into
detail
about
this,
but
once
you've
got
this
all
set
up,
you
would
click
the
blue
next
button
to
go
to
the
next
section.
A
Now
the
next
section
is
going
to
be
the
team
members
and
location
base,
we're
going
to
select
who
exactly
is
going
to
be
able
to
be
booked
for
this
event,
and
you
would
also
choose
their
location
when
you
select
the
person
that
is
going
to
be
added
in
there.
So
as
an
example
for
like
will
here
zoom,
we
almost
always
default
to
zoom
as
what
should
be
chosen
as
the
event
there's
some
advanced
settings.
A
You
can
do
here,
such
as
reassigned
through
round
robin
originally
assigned
the
host
for
when
you
know
it's
rescheduled
or
reassigned
up
at
the
top
for
round
robin
it
asks
you.
How
do
you
want
to
do
the
distribution,
there's
two
options:
optimized
for
availability
or
optimized
for
equal
distribution?
A
A
Now
from
here,
it's
going
to
show
you
basically
that
it
has
created
the
event
type.
You
can
see
how
it's
it's
there.
It
says
it's
on
and
it
gives
us
all
these
options
and
understanding
what
these
all
mean
will
be
covered
in
the
managing
the
event
type
video,
but
just
know
that
you
can,
if
you
need
it
once
you've
made
it
edit
anything
that
you
need
to
edit
I'm
going
to
go
ahead
and
turn
this
off
just
to
prevent
any
confusion,
and
that
should
be
all
there
is
to
it.
