From YouTube: Support Ops - Zendesk - Deactivating items via Sync Repo
Description
Jason Colyer, Support Operations Manager, takes us through how to deactivate items in the Zendesk sync repos.
A
Greetings
all
my
name
is
jason
carter.
I'm
the
support
operations
manager
here
at
git
lab
and
today
we're
going
to
cover
deactivating
items
in
these
investing
repos.
It's
not
overly
difficult,
but
it
is
very
specific
on
how
you
have
to
do
it
doing
it
incorrectly
can
actually
cause
problems.
So
we
want
to
make
sure
we
do
this
right.
So
what
we've
got
here
is
our
zendesk
triggers
repo,
and
I
picked
this
one
at
random.
A
A
Now
we're
going
to
locate
the
folder,
here's
the
notify,
select
user.
So
what
we're
going
to
do
first
is
click
these
dots
by
it
and
hit
rename
slash
move
now.
What
we
need
to
do
is
just
change
where
it
says
active
gear
to
inactive,
we're
going
to
rename
the
file,
and
if
we
go
into
here,
we
can
see
you
know
unsorted
there.
It
is
right
here
if
we
click
it
here,
we
can
see
how
it
still
says
active.
True.
A
Make
sure
our
labels
are
right
and
all
this
and
then
it'll
be
put
in
draft
mode
once
you're
ready
to
you
know,
make
sure
you
send
it
to
yourself
make
sure
both
these
boxes
are
checked,
submit
your
merge
request,
and
you
know
once
you're
ready
for
ops
whomever
to
review.
Go
ahead
and
you
know
market
is
ready
and
then
ops
will
review
it
and
look
through
it
make
sure
everything's
good
to
go
approve
it
merge
it
depending
on
what
exactly
we're
doing
here.
A
You'll
notice
here
it
says,
triggers
active
unsorted
blah,
blah
blah
was
moved
to
triggers
inactive,
and
it
says
the
active
has
been
changed
to
false.
Now
it's
important
to
do
this
in
the
exact
order
I
did,
namely
move
the
file
then
edit.
The
file,
if
you
do
it
in
the
reverse
order,
the
web
id
actually
will
not
save
your
active
is
changed
to
false
here.
What
you'll
actually
see
is
it's,
you
know,
moved
the
file
but
didn't
make
the
changes.
We
don't
want
that.
So
make
sure
you
do
that
in
the
right
order.
A
That's
really
all
there
is
to
this.
That's
pretty
much
deactivating.
It
once
approved
and
merged
it'll
change
it
zendesk
everything
will
be
good
to
go,
but
yeah,
that's
that's
all
there
is
to
it.
I
hope
you
found
this
educational
if
you
need
any
assistance
reach
out
this
courtops
reach
out
to
the
channel
reach
out
to
myself
always
willing
to
help
hope
hope.
You
find
this
useful
and
look
forward
to
seeing
you
in
the
next
video.
