From YouTube: Support Ops - GitLab - Epics
Description
Jason Colyer, Support Operations Manager, takes us through how to work with GitLab epics
A
A
So
I'm
here
in
the
zendesk
apps
group
and
what
I'm
going
to
do
to
create
an
epic
first
is
go
over
here
to
epics
click
it
and
then
I'll
click.
This
blue
new
epic
button
we're
going
to
do
a
title.
So
this
is
a
test.
Epic,
we'll
give
it
a
description,
testing
we're
gonna,
go
ahead
and
make
it
confidential,
we'll
give
it
the
label
documentation.
A
One
is
the
support,
ops,
documentation,
we'll
make
the
start
date,
the
first
of
september
and
the
end
date,
the
30th
of
september,
once
we've
got
all
this
set
and
good
to
go,
we'll
click
the
blue
create
epic
button
from
here.
We
have
our
epic
and
it
is
ready
to
go
now
if
we
needed
to
edit
an
epic
we'll
once
again,
click
epics
click
on
the
title
of
the
epic
and
depending
on
what
you
want
to
edit.
A
This
will
determine
where
you're
going
to
click.
So
if
we
need
to
edit
like
the
title
or
the
description,
we
click
the
pencil
icon
here
we
could
go
ahead
and
make
a
change
and
click.
The
blue
save
changes
button.
If
we're
changing
the
start
date,
we
would
click
up
here
over
my
start
date
and
click
the
edit
for
end
date
same
kind
of
deal
for
labels.
A
We
can
either
go
down
here
and
do
you
know
slash
label
and
then
start
typing
all
that
out
or
we
can
click
the
edit
button
and
search
for
our
labels
and
click
that
way
we
can
edit
confidentiality
by
either
clicking
this
turn
it
on
or
off,
or
we
could
do
you
know
beyond
that.
I
mean
there's
also
notifications.
If
you
want
to
be
notified
of
this
to
add
an
issue
to
it,
there's
a
couple
different
ways,
since
there
are
no
linked
issues
here.
A
Let's
grab
an
issue,
that's
not
part
of
something,
you
know
an
easier
way
to
do.
This
would
probably
just
be
grab
one
of
these
issues
here.
So
we'll
go
ahead.
This
once
you
basically
do
is
click,
add
and
then
add
existing
issue,
paste
the
link
and
then
hit
add
letting
me
know
that
it
can't
assign
to
a
confidential
ethic,
because
it's
a
non-confidential
issue.
So
let's
turn
that
off
and
now
we
can
add
it
the
other
way
to
kind
of
do
it
and
you
can
click
the
x
to
remove
it.
A
The
other
way
to
kind
of
do
it
would
be
from
the
you
know,
issue
itself.
So
if
we
go
to
an
issue,
we
can
kind
of
go
over
here
on
the
right
side
and
go
to
epic
and
click
edit,
and
we
can
find
this
test
epic
and
add
it
there.
A
A
Now,
that's
basically
how
you
would
add
them
if
there's
already
one
you
have
the
option
of
doing,
relates
to
and
blocks
it
is
blocked
by.
A
A
And
it's
letting
me
know
that
you
know
it
didn't
want
to
leave,
because
I
had
edits
in
place,
but
that's
basically
all
there
is
to
it:
that's
basically
managing
epics,
at
least
at
a
very
basic
level,
what
you'll
need
for
support
operations.
I
hope
you
found
this
educational
and
I
look
forward
to
seeing
you
next
video.
