From YouTube: UX Showcase Login Update Beautifying UI
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
A
A
I
really
thought
this
was
a
fantastic
opportunity
to
get
my
hands
dirty,
especially
because
I
must
have
been
away
or
I
didn't
see
the
sign
up
originally,
so
I
was
really
happy
to
jump
on
it
kind
of
last
minute
and
see
what
I
could
do,
but
I
ran
into
this
problem
where,
at
the
beginning,
I
felt
like
super
scared.
I
wanted
to
stick
with
smaller
ideas,
adding
in
missing
grammar
punctuation
editing
some
health
checks.
I
was
nervous
about
making
too
big
of
a
change
during
this.
What
if
it
broke?
A
What,
if
I
did
something
people
didn't
like,
so
it
was
kind
of
nervous.
How
do
you
get
over
that?
But
then
I
thought
I
could
be
a
bit
more
impactful.
I
met
with
yannick
my
engineering
partner
here
and
we
were
discussing
something
that
was
a
lot
bigger.
A
So
what
if
we
redesigned
our
login
page?
This
is
one
of
the
most
high
traffic
areas
of
gitlab,
but
it
was
an
area
that
we
thought
needed
a
bit
of
love.
There
are
aspects
of
this
that,
like
bothered
me
from
a
visual
perspective,
it
looked
cluttered
updated.
It
had
a
bunch
of
repeating
information
like
our
privacy
policy
showed
up
multiple
times.
A
The
explore
projects
on
gitlab
was
like
at
the
bottom
and
on
the
left-hand
side.
So
even
just
a
visual
reskin
of
this
page
and
taking
out
a
bit
of
information
could
really
make
a
massive
impact,
so
I
kind
of
took
a
stab
reimagined.
What
this
page
could
look
like
and
landed
on
this,
where
I
didn't
do
much.
A
I
just
took
out
the
left
hand,
information
and
centered
things
on
the
page
and
removed
some
of
the
duplicate
links
and
ctas
simplified
the
content
and
just
made
a
minor
update
visually
and
it
already
looked
a
lot
cleaner.
A
We
took
out
the
top
logo,
which
was
some
great
feedback.
I
got
from
some
designers
and
yeah.
We
just
wanted
to
let
it
breathe
a
bit
more
removed,
more
additional
redundant
information
and
everyone
kind
of
liked
this.
So
we
decided
to
go
ahead
with
it.
A
That
being
said,
when
I
got
into
redesigning
this
page,
I
realized
that
the
login
page
was
connected
to
a
bunch
of
additional
pages.
So
this
is
my
first
notice
that
this
project
was
getting
a
bit
bigger
than
I
originally
thought
it
would.
So
we
were
redesigning
registration
pages,
the
forgot,
the
password,
the
two
factor,
authentication
pages,
so
just
going
through
everything
connected
with
the
login
pages
and
making
sure
it
also
followed
the
new
style,
but
being
a
bigger
change.
A
We
did
kind
of
run
into
a
few
problems
with
this,
like
I
said,
the
page
had
a
lot
of
different
variations.
So
how
can
we
create
an
mvc
that
isn't
too
big
but
is
also
an
impactful
change?
How
do
we
ensure
we
just
don't
break
gitlab?
This
is
one
of
the
highest
traffic
areas
and
if
users
can't
log
in
that's
a
massive
problem,
so
how
do
we
ensure,
by
releasing
this
we're,
not
locking
everyone
out
of
gitlab
and
realizing
that
this
was
touching
terms
and
conditions?
A
So
what's
next,
we
have
our
initial
mrr
set
up
with
this.
It
is
nearing
approvals,
but
there
are
a
few
things
we
do
need
to
add
in
before.
We
can
kind
of
release
this
out
so
plan
the
release
of
this
page.
Since
it
is
a
high
traffic
area,
we
are
releasing
it
under
a
feature
flag
and
having
a
very,
very
slow
rollout
to
mitigate
any
problems
such
as
people
being
unable
to
log
in
so
we're
going
to
partner
with
manage
on
this
to
see
the
best
way
to
roll
it
out.
A
We
want
to
finish
up
any
additional
pages
that
need
updating,
such
as
the
saml
and
ldap
pages
that
came
up
during
the
initial.
Mr,
so
we
moved
that
into
secondary
issues,
but
we
want
to
just
capture
all
pages
that
had
the
original
styling
and
then
we
want
to
get
the
design
out
there
and
start
collecting
any
feedback
that
comes
back
from
it.
So
these
are
kind
of
the
steps
we
still
have
to
take
on
this
initiative.
A
But
the
biggest
takeaway
I
took
is
don't
be
scared
to
change
something
big.
I
was
very
uncomfortable
making
a
really
big
change
at
the
beginning
of
this,
and
I
think,
when
I
proposed
this
idea,
all
the
feedback
from
everyone
that
joined
in
on
that
issue
really
gave
me
kind
of
the
confidence
to
go
forward
with
it.
So
my
biggest
learning
from
beautifying
the
ui
was
push
past
kind
of
your
comfort
zones
and
do
something
that
you
might
not
have
done
originally.
A
And
then,
finally,
I
wanted
to
give
a
big
thank
you,
because
I
didn't
do
this
alone.
I
wanted
to
thank
yannick
for
the
fantastic
collaboration
and
enthusiasm
working
with
this
problem
over
the
milestone
and
beyond.
This
has
gone
past
15-2
because
it
is
so
big.
I
wanted
to
thank
daniel
and
evan
for
just
supporting
me
and
giving
me
helpful
context
around
this
page.
A
The
login
page
wasn't
in
my
stage
group,
so
I
had
a
lot
of
questions
around
what
what
pages
had
to
change
if
I
was
doing
things
properly
and
all
of
that
and
then
finally
a
thank
you
to
the
rest
of
the
ux
team
who
jumped
in,
I
think
sasha
annabelle
becca
gina.
There
were
a
bunch
of
people
who
kind
of
jumped
into
this
and
gave
me
feedback
on
this
login
page
and
just
helped
it
get
to
where
it
was
now.
So
I
wanted
to
give
a
thank
you
for
that
and
yeah.
A
B
A
So
it's
funny
and
I
have
to
give
a
call
out
because
gina
realized
this
is
a
lot
of
the
content
on
the
left.
Side
was
repeated
in
our
bottom
footer.
So
all
those
links
were
on
the
page
twice
for
some
reason,
with
the
exception
of
the
community
forum,
so
we
moved
the
forum
link
to
the
bottom
footer
and
then
just
removed
all
these
redundant
links
that
were
on
the
page,
both
on
the
left
hand,
side
and
in
the
footer,
so
that
was
kind
of
what
happened
to
them.
B
D
Thanks
yeah,
my
words
are
not
coming
out
well
right
now,
but
I
was
wondering
if
you
were
to
go
back
in
time
and
and
start
this
like
same
problem
again.
Would
you
do
anything
differently.
A
Yeah,
I
I
think
the
first
thing
I
would
have
done
if
I
started
this
over
again,
is
gone
to
the
managed
team
and
just
asks
like
hey
what
are
all
the
variations
of
this
page.
So
I
got
a
better
idea
from
the
very
beginning
of
how
big
the
problem
was,
because
I
started
off
very
small,
like
oh,
let's
redesign
the
login
page
only
to
realize
later
on
that
that
involved
changing
a
lot
more
than
just
the
login
page.
So
I
think
that
would
be.
A
The
first
thing
I
would
do
is
organize
it
a
bit
more
with
like
the
manage
team
and
see
what
else
had
to
go
into
this.
B
Thanks
incredible.
C
I'm
sorry,
I'm
not
sure
if
I
missed
it,
but
when
is
the
planned
rollout,
I'm
looking
at
the
murder
quest
now
and
oh
my
gosh,
it's
so
big,
I
feel
so
bad
periodic.
Do
you
know
when
you're
going
to
start
rolling
it
out.
A
Yeah,
so
we're
hoping
to
have
that
initial
murder
has
merged
sometime
this
week.
I
think
we
were
nearing
like
all
the
approvals
we
have.
We
have
one
additional
merge
request.
We
have
to
go
in
and
make
some
like
content
changes,
based
on
like
a
legal
review
of
everything
and
then
we're
gonna
work
with
the
someone
from
product
to
understand
a
proper
rollout
of
this,
so
it'll
be
very
slow
to
start.
A
We're
hoping
it's
it
within
this
milestone,
though,
that
we
can
start
rolling
it
out,
but
we'll
see
like
you
said,
the
mr
was
getting
a
bit
unruly
so
trying
to
keep
that
to
a
minimum
has
been
difficult.
E
Yeah
I'll
just
say
mine
before
I
finish
typing
what
I'm
trying
to
say
were
there
resources
identified
as
part
of
this,
I
think
my
understanding
of
the
beautifying,
the
ui
I
haven't,
had
a
chance
to
sign
up
for
one
yet,
but
that
there
there
is
a
team
that
signs
up.
So
you
you
go
into
it.
Knowing
that
you
have
front
end,
maybe
back
end
or
maybe
it's
just
a
front
end.
E
A
Yeah,
so
what
is
allocated
is
one
designer
and
one
front-end
engineer
and
you
kind
of
work
together
on
everything
other
than
that.
Anyone
else
I
was
getting
input
from
was
like
additional
to
their
role,
so
we
didn't
have
anyone
from
back
end
no
ux
research
or
anything
so
kind
of
that's
that's!
Who
is
committed
to
the
beautifying,
our
ui.
It's
just
a
partner
of
two
people.
E
Yeah,
okay,
that's
what
I
thought
and
then
I
because
I
was
wondering
then
like
with
this
one.
It
seems
like
it
spills
over
into
a
lot
of
areas.
You
said
like
legal
and
I
don't
know
if
if
there
was
any
like
research
needs
here,
but
it
I
guess
I'm
just
wondering
like
if
that
could
be
a
blocker
or
has
been
a
blocker
at
all
for
other
beautifying,
our
ui
initiatives.
A
It
so
for
us
it
wasn't
so
much
a
blocker,
because
we
mostly
it
was
just
questions
for
other
people.
We
were
doing
them
all
the
work
and
mostly
just
leaning
in
on
them,
for
like
feedback
and
anything
like
that.
So
it
wasn't
a
blocker
for
us,
but
I
could
see
how
it
might
be
a
blocker,
especially
with
like
the
rollout.
We
might
need
a
bit
of
help
figuring
out
the
rollout
of
this
that
might
get
blocked.
We
did
spill
over
into
another
milestone
with
it
as
well.
So
I
think
it.
A
Yeah,
the
the
good
news
is
like
yonick's
done,
such
a
fantastic
job.
Taking
on
all
of
this
that,
from
like
an
engineering
side,
we
had
the
capacity
to
do
it,
which
was
really
nice.
Nice.
F
It's
a
comment,
which
is
why
I
have
to
read
only,
but
I
just
love
the
diversity
that
we've
seen
so
far
in
all
the
beautifying
of
ui
efforts,
lots
of
really
high
intentioned
improvements
like
with
saatch's
annabelle,
kicking
it
off
with
such
a
high
bar
and
then
like
this
gigantic.
F
Like
I
mean
you
said
like
emily,
they
said
that
the
login
page
is
one
of
the
highest
traffic.
I
mean,
I
think,
that's
kind
of
an
understatement.
It's
probably
one
or
two,
the
highest
traffic
page
on
so
yeah
way
to
go
too
also
from
like
thinking.
Oh
I'm
not
too
sure
what
I
want
to
get
involved
in
here.
I'll
just
do
the
login
page.
Why
not.
A
No
thank
you.
It
took
a
it
definitely.
I
was
like
I
just
have
to
get
over
my
fear
of
making
changes,
and
I
don't
know
how
I
landed
on
this
stage
as
the
one
I
was
going
to
make
changes
to,
but
I'm
glad
I
did,
I
think
it's
a
great
improvement.
B
You
know
if
it
was
just
a
designer
that
would
that
would
make
it
much
more
difficult
to
move
anything
forward,
but
that's
why
I
think
this
project,
or
this
concept
is
so
great
so
for
sure,
I'm
glad
you
you
weren't
frozen
in
fear,
you
pushed
forward.
That's
pretty
great
all
right.
Any
other
questions
comments
before
we
move
on.
