Building and Measuring Valuable Ecosystems - Mark Cudden, we.trade innovation DAC
The way organisations acquires, perceives and derives value from software, platforms and services is changing. No longer are organisations entering into a bi-lateral agreement with a software, platform or service providers. They enter ecosystems. What are these ecosystems? What is the minimum viable ecosystem? How is value of the ecosystem measured? These metrics can be hard to define and get right when working in world of blockchain with new business networks, disrupting existing business models, unlocking new ways of working at times, side by side with competitors, or parties who do not trust one another. Value is perceived based on the strength, reputation and participation level of ecosystems members and from the products and services available to ecosystems members. These ecosystems are based on co-opetition and collaboration with like-minded businesses.

ecosystems

just
ecosystems,

the
same
discipline

trade

logistics

you
know,
climate
action
and
accounting,
but
again
we
will
actually
be
connecting
some
of
these
different
ecosystems
together
to
drive
even
more
value,
more
business
models.

benefits

the
end
users,

one
can
expand.

so
you
can
join
an
existing
ecosystem
and
also
then
offer
new
value
added
services
to
those
ecosystem
members
and
one
can
then
connect
to
that

we

about
expanding
we're
talking
about
really,
you

either
you
know
joining
where
you
have.

about
immutability
and
traceability
discussions
can

we
can
leverage
the
immutability

traceability
of
the
data
to
aid
in
dispute
resolution

ecosystem

single
source

shared

can
be
segmented
through
ledgers
channels,
private
data
collections.
But
it's
really
about
like

privacy,

providing
access
to
that
data
on
a

to
access
and
a

companies
or
organizations,

with

had
a

good
concept.

was

much
at
the

built
in

blockchain
was
built
on
ethereum
originally
before
we
switched
over
to
hyperledger
fabric.
But
again
we
just
saw

the
value
of
the
poc
in
terms
of
what
it
could
do
in

terms

evolving

revolutionizing.

in

trade
and
with
the
use
of
blockchain,
and
then
we
actually

members
actually
came
together
and
they
saw
the
potential
in
terms
of
building
an
ecosystem.

ecosystems

want

be
in
everything
so

one
succeeds
they'll
always
say
well,
we
were
part

winner

thing

you've
got
digital
masters,
strong,
overarching
digital
vision,
they're
able
to
get.

they've
excellent
governance
across
the
silos,
bringing
about
the
organizational
changes
necessary
when
adopting
new
technologies
and
many
digital
initiatives
generating
business
value
and
have
strong
digital
vision.

really
a
case

you

terms
of
building
an
ecosystem.

want

at
your
digital
masters

help

in

steering
where
you
