In this session, Ariel Gentile, Berend Sliedrecht and Karim Stekelenburg will share the 0.4.0 release of Aries Framework JavaScript. The demo will include what's new in AFJ and through the lens of a well-defined use case, they will lead you through the steps of setting up an agent, connecting it to a ledger, and issuing and verifying credentials. By the end, you will be able to use your own cloud agent to issue a credential to a holder, which in turn creates a proof of a credential that your cloud agent can verify. This demo is aimed at everyone that has worked with JavaScript/TypeScript in the past. Specific knowledge with Aries Framework JavaScript or self-sovereign identity is not required.

This workshop provides an in-depth hands on discussion and demonstration of using Bevel and the new Bevel-Operator-Fabric to deploy Hyperledger Fabric on Kubernetes.
Hyperledger Bevel is an automation tool for deploying consistent, production worthy DLT platforms on cloud. It provides three key aspects – security, scalability and acceleration for DLT deployments. Hyperledger Bevel currently supports deployment of R3 Corda open source and enterprise, Hyperledger Fabric, Hyperledger Indy, GoQuorum and Hyperledger Besu. It uses ansible scripts and helm charts responsible to achieve the desired DLT network state on Kubernetes and uses Flux GitOps for automation.
The Hyperledger Bevel developers have recently integrated hlf-operator, a Hyperledger lab, into Hyperledger Bevel and have renamed it to Bevel-Operator-Fabric. Adding Bevel-Operator-Fabric is an important milestone for Hyperledger Bevel and a step towards the redesign of Bevel with support for Kubernetes operators to achieve DLT (distributed ledger technology) network deployments and automation.
Bevel-Operator-Fabric is the first of the different sets of Kubernetes operators that Hyperledger Bevel will ultimately support. As the name suggests, it is a Kubernetes operator for managing Hyperledger Fabric networks. Bevel-operator-fabric enables developers to define Hyperledger Fabric components in the form of custom resources and associated controllers to manage the lifecycle of those components.
Presenters
* Sownak Roy, Accenture
* Suvajit Sarkar, Accenture
* David Viejo, Kung Fu Software

A Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) is a new form of digital money with a central bank liability. The goal is to retain all the benefits of central bank money (especially no default risk) and pushing beyond this by improving on multiple dimensions: Settlement Efficiency, Robustness, Privacy, Compliance, Accessibility, and Programmability to name a few.
This workshop is run by blockchain engineers at Banque de France and IBM. The event provides a technical presentation and feedback on the Banque de France Venus CBDC experiment and how Hyperledger Fabric addresses many of the requirements for CBDC use cases. In this talk, we will show how Hyperledger Technologies helped build a CBDC, how it was used to orchestrate interoperability with HTLC, and will offer a deep-dive and hands-on session on the Hyperledger Fabric Token SDK lab.

A virtual workshop run on Thursday, March 23, 2023. In this workshop, Nicko Guyer, Alex Shorsher and David Echelberger, Full Stack Engineers at Kaleido and Hyperledger FireFly maintainers and contributors, will show you how to use Hyperledger FireFly to launch an NFT collection on public chains.
We’ll provide an overview of Hyperledger FireFly features including:
* Web3 Gateway Mode - for connecting to popular public chains like Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, Optimism, Arbitrum, etc.
* Public Blockchain Tools - with support for managing and signing transactions
* Enterprise-friendly functionality - to ensure new apps meet both user and compliance requirements.
* Integration capabilities - for connecting your NFT app to existing enterprise systems.
From there, we’ll take you through the steps to create and launch an NFT collection on Polygon using Hyperledger FireFly. With live coding and easy-to-follow steps, you’ll have everything you need to launch your own NFT collection.
This session is targeted to developers of intermediate skill level and above, with some prior amount of blockchain knowledge. New developers, or those without any prior blockchain knowledge may still find it informative, as Hyperledger FireFly is very approachable. At the same time, it is also flexible and customizable to meet the needs of experienced blockchain developers.
The guide for the workshop is at: https://github.com/nguyer/firefly-nft-workshop-2023-03-023
You can join a discussion about FireFly on the #firefly channel on the Hyperledger Discord server at: https://wiki.hyperledger.org/display/HYP/Our+chat+service
And for more about FireFly, check out their Github repo at: https://github.com/hyperledger/firefly
