From YouTube: Welcome Note by Manish Choksi, Chairman, INDUS
Description
INDUS Conclave- South
A
So,
thank
you
Mukesh
for
the
introduction,
my
audible.
Let
me
just
use
this,
so
thank
you.
Mukesh
and
thanks
to
all
of
you,
I
repeat
considering
bangalore
traffic
being
in
whitefield,
lat
930
is
obviously
a
you
challenge,
but
thank
you
for
coming
here
and
I
hope.
You
know
the
day's
proceedings
you
know
are
valuable
to
you
and
you
can
take
some
things
back
into
your
organization's
and
implement
them
special.
Thank
you
to
Weiland.
I
know
he
has
a
very,
very
busy
schedule
and
he
sees
flown
into
India.
A
Just
just
sort
of
you
know
coinciding
a
strip
to
help
us.
You
know
anchor
this
conference
so
really.
Thank
you
wheeling
for
coming
here.
All
the
way,
thanks
to
the
rest
of
the
essay
p
team
that
is
going
to
do
the
demo
and
the
other
sessions
thanks
to
ASAP
labs,
for
the
wonderful
hosting
of
this
event,
I
think
we
are
going
to
continue
to
partner
with
them.
You
know,
as
we
go
on
this
journey
of
trying
to
see
how
we
can
get
more
out
of
customers
within
India.
A
I
think
in
this
was
created
more
than
two
decades
ago,
but
it's
really
in
the
last
decade
that
we've
been
really
working
and
trying
to
make
sure
that
indian
customers
who
are
of
SI
p
products,
are
really
connected
in
our
ecosystem,
such
that
we
can
help
each
other
get
maximum
out
of
all
the
ASAP
investments
that
we
are
making,
whether
it's
in
products
where
the
sensitives
services
or
it's
in
solutions
which
are
a
combination
of
products
and
services
as
we
go
on
this
journey
of
trying
to
innovate
along
with
ASAP
I.
Think
this.
A
This
partnership,
that
Indus
creates,
is
anchored
around
essentially
three
things
CCI,
as
you
call
it
collaborate,
Cohen,
08
and
influence
and
start
with
influence
and
sort
of
in
India.
We
are
just
fortunate
that
we
are
able
to
have
the
presence
of
such
a
large
lab
steam
that
we
probably
maybe
most
of
the
time
underutilized
in
terms
of
the
power
indian
customers
can
wield
in
terms
of
how
they
influence
the
products
the
SME
lab
steam.
A
As
many
times
been
and
is
always
open
to
hosting
indian
customers
in
terms
of
understanding
the
local
requirements
of
what
we've
got
as
products
and
really
you
know
taking
the
message
within
SI
p
on
how
they
can
tailor
their
solutions
to
meet
our
specific
requirements
in
india,
I
think
we
could.
We
could
definitely
do
with
more
use
of
this
sort
of
very,
very
valuable
resource
in
some
sense
of
the
word.
A
Swiping
influence,
however,
is
not
limited
to
SI.
P
labs
in
india
influence
could
be
related
to
product
strategy.
It
could
be
related
to
many
other
areas
and
indices
platforms.
To
do
this,
we
have
obviously
chapter
meetings
which
are
local,
connects
where
you
can
help
sort
of
raise
issues
and
understand
from
each
other
how
people
are
going
about
addressing
them.
But,
more
importantly,
we
have
the
special
interest
groups
of
six,
both
LA
lob,
as
well
as
horizontal
cigs.
What
do
I
mean
by
lob
automotive,
sig
or
oil
and
gas
sake?
A
Horizontal
sync
is
like
HR
sake
or
a
solution.
Man
saying
that
we've
got
these
are
specific
platforms
created
to
be
able
to
influence
products
and
services
in
a
particular
direction.
In
these
areas,
in
some
sense
of
the
word,
the
rest
of
influencing
happens
from
gatherings
that
we
have
around
both
India
as
well
as
walled
off.
A
They
have
an
annual
executive
exchange
program
that,
in
this
course
or
SP,
hoses
involved
off
where
we
can
share
some
of
the
common
concerns
we
get
from
all
indian
customers,
with
the
executive
team
at
acp
typically
get
one
or
two
board
members,
and
maybe
more
more
than
that,
you
know.
There's
a
Porteous
immediate
report
is
to
be
able
to.
You
know,
come
to
those
meetings,
so
we
are
really
getting
serious
leadership
form
ASAP
to
listen
to
us
concerns
from
indian
customers
or
things
that
they
like
about.
A
Si
p
is
roadmap
direction,
as
well
as
the
current
challenges
that
we
face.
So
influence
is
probably
the
biggest
driver
and
the
anchor
why
a
user
body
exists
in
some
sense
of
the
word
where
we
can
do
things,
the
other
big
anchor
is
around.
You
know
collaborating
and
Cohen
awaiting.
These
are
probably
you
know
two
sides
of
one
coin
in
some
sense
of
the
word.
A
One
is
about
collaborating
with
the
ecosystem,
whether
its
partners,
whether
it
is
other
customers
or
whether
its
recipient
itself,
we
can
collaborate
to
make
sure
that
we
get
more
value
out
of
these
solutions.
Share
common
problems
as
well
as
take
feedback
from
other
people
who
face
those
problems
and
overcome
them
in
some
sense
of
the
word.
So
collaboration
is
all
about
learning
and
I
would
urge
all
of
you.
The
other
part
which
we
need
to
get
much
better
at
is
giving
back
if
you've
done
something
before
you
know,
I
had
of
other
customers.
A
We
go
come
problems
and
challenges,
it's
good
to
talk
about
them.
It
helps
other
customers
get
the
best
out
of
the
products
without
probably
giving
you
no
trade
secrets
away
or
something
on
that
sort.
But
I
came
with
I
think,
there's
great
power
in
customer
speaking
to
customers,
customers
speaking
to
partners
in
a
common
forum
and
being
able
to
arrive
at
newer
solutions.
A
New
solving
all
the
problems
that
you
have
got
Cohen
await,
probably
I
think
the
most
futuristic
sort
of
platform
that
got
in
that
sense
of
the
word
we're
using
the
power
of
customers
in
India,
as
well
as
the
apt.
We
can
sort
of
go
in
a
way:
Don
new
solutions,
products
and
services
or
new
extensions
to
the
platform,
and
this
is
the
place
I
think
in
the
future.
That's
going
to
take
a
lot
of
significance.
A
Asap,
as
you
know,
is
transforming
itself
from
being
just
Enterprise,
centric
IT
solutions
provider
to
being
a
much
larger
player
on
a
greater
canvas
in
some
sense
of
platforms
of
his
provider
and
having
platform
stared
at
across
all
levels,
from
infrastructure
as
a
service
platform
and
even
enterprise
solutions
as
a
service.
So
to
speak
out
there
so
I
think
in
days
to
come.
Looking
at
the
kind
of
investments
is
making
I'm
sure
that
customers
in
India
are
gonna,
have
to
use
this
plank
of
co-innovation
to
be
able
to
deliver
and
get
new
products
and
services.
A
We've
got
and
I.
Think
I
would
urge
you
to
know
that
in
indices,
probably
not
going
to
be
able
to
deliver
co-innovation,
but
it
could
be
a
conduit
to
you
accessing
resources
across
the
partner
ecosystem
and
a
city
that
would
allow
you
to
go,
innovate
with
those
people
in
some
sense
a
word.
So
what
is
in
this
in
distress
and
offer
a
solution
in
this
office,
a
platform
on
which
you
can
get
the
solutions
made
in
some
sense
of
the
word.
A
Sorry
I
would
urge
all
of
you
if
you're
not
already
members,
your
organization
is
not
a
member
please
to
become
one
here,
is
not
for
endlessly
expensive
to
become
one,
and
there
are
whole
host
of
benefits
that
we
that
we
have
listed
around
the
space
out
there,
and
this
entire
platform
is
available
to
us
in
some
sense
of
the
word.
So
please
join
us
in
that
sense
of
the
word.
This
is
what
is
linda's
is
done
most
specific.
Then
then,
then,
those
generalities
is
what
we
are
going
to
do
this
year
across
the
platforms.
A
You
know
how
large
we
are.
You
know
what
what
are
we
really
doing?
I
think
we've
got
multiple
sort
of
membership
levels.
On
the
top
right
hand,
side,
you
will
be
able
to
gather
what
those
are
we
are.
We
are
moving
away
from
being
just
a
free
sort
of
member,
only
organization
to
being
a
paid
solutions.
Many
people
would
ask
why
so
this
there
is.
There
is
an
administration
costs
for
putting
up
these
events
running
other
platforms,
putting
up
the
website
administration
fees.
A
We
need
to
be
able
to
recoup
that
for
membership,
the
idea
of
membership
fees
is
to
be
able
to
run
member
services.
The
idea
of
membership
fees
is
not
to
make
a
profit
out
of
them
in
some
sense
of
the
word
out
there.
So
I
think
in
this
probably
is
not
defined
as
a
non-profit,
but
at
least
I
believe
that
the
board
of
Indus
and
myself
included
believe
that
we
are
not
here
to
make
profit.
A
We
are
here
to
help
ASAP
customers
get
better
out
of
the
solutions
in
that
sense
of
the
word,
which
is
why
we
saw
off
on
a
journey
of
a
little
bit
of
rejuvenation.
We
now
invited
and
partnered
with
Paul
writer
to
create
a
secretariat
that
would
deliver
these
member
services
in
a
professional
manner.
It
is
a
journey
of
change
has
begun.
A
We
have
two
quarters
into
their
journey,
but
hopefully
it
will
be
in
flew
in
a
couple
of
months
from
now,
and
members
should
be
able
to
see
a
far
greater
engagement
from
the
secretary
team
on
that
we
are
obviously
helped
by
the
alternate
Secretariat
team
as
I
call
it,
which
is
the
team
of
from
ASAP
that
works
with
us
in
liaison.
Mukesh
and
agitation
were
part
of
the
global
user
group
organization.
So
there
is
a
user
group
organization
within
SI
p
that
looks
at
working
with
user
group
organization.
A
That's
our
alternate
secretariat
team,
both
in
india
as
well
as
globally,
and
how
they
connect
us
into
there
ASAP
global
system.
So
so
this
is
a
great
conduit
and
a
platform
that
allows
you
to
do
these
things.
We're
revamping
the
online
presence
as
we
speak,
so
that
members
can
get
a
far
more
far
greater
window
out
of
a
digital
platform.
Not
all
of
us
can
travel
to
events.
A
Not
all
of
us
can
make
it
to
different
cities,
so
this
will
become
sort
of
the
go-to
platform
for
knowledge
sharing,
as
well
as
for
dissemination
of
a
lot
of
information
in
some
sense
of
the
word.
It
will
also
run
administration,
services
or
events
for
payments,
etc,
etc.
So
we're
trying
to
make
it
easy
for
members
to
stay
engaged
within
us
in
some
sense
of
word.
This
is
a
first
experiment
or
white
paper
for
members
we
beginning
with
a
made
an
effort,
I'm
hoping
that
it
is
very
successful.
A
This
is
the
first
effort
in
partnership
with
Whelan
scheme
is
to
be
able
to
actually
put
out
a
escort,
hana
whitepaper,
the
Sun
JK
is
sitting
here,
and
maybe
some
of
you
can
pick
his
brains
in
the
breaks
out
there
and
what
we
want
to
deliver
in
that
platform.
What
we
want
to
deliver
is
use
cases
of
how
you
could
actually
use
s4
hana
for
business
benefit
or
deliver
business
benefits
and
thus
make
the
case
for
that
investment.
A
Our
aim
is
to
be
able
to
give
a
template,
which
you
could
sort
of
fill
and
figure
out.
What
would
be
the
value
that
you
would
get
back
from
that
and
already
you
know
the
cost,
maybe
make
up
the
good
business
case
for
you.
So
that's
the
direction
in
which
that
white
paper
is
going.
Obviously
it
will
give
you
some
links
and
stuff
for
technology.
We
now
go
to
reinvent
what
ASAP
already
puts
out
as
outputs
around
what
the
architecture
was
for.
A
Honor
is
the
benefits
and
all
of
those
things
we're
not
going
to
redo
that,
but
will
kind
of
give
you
a
single
window
into
those
things
in
some
sense
of
work.
So
that's
a
maiden
effort,
I'm
hoping
it
is
successful,
so
we
can
repeat
those
for
other
things
that
we
have
got
in
some
sense
of
the
word.
We
continue
to
do
conferences
like
this.
As
we
speak,
the
hall
seems
to
be
filling
up
and
we
should
be
doing
much
better
out
there.
A
We
do
two
formats,
we
do
a
large
format
like
this
and
we
do
then
boardroom
formats
with
CIOs
or
their
report
ease
or
specific
business
executives
who
come
around
together
for
specific
solutions
in
some
sense
of
the
word.
So
we
have
both
large
and
small
formats
around
the
time
of
ACE
Awards.
We
are
likely
to
do
what
we
would
call
the
first
flagship,
CIO
connect
event
in
some
sense
of
the
word,
a
closed-door
30
to
40
CIO
Conclave,
for
maybe
a
couple
of
hours
trying
to
figure
out
what
is
really
driving.
A
You
know,
maybe
digital
technology
within
India
and
trying
to
see
you
know
how
is
happy
partners
with
us
in
those
kind
of
initiatives
and
take
that
forward
out
there.
We
continue
to
our
chapter
meetings
across
various
cities
in
India.
This
is
the
local
connect,
very,
very
valued
by
a
lot
of
you.
I
would
say,
customers
that
are
essentially
based
out
of
those
cities
in
some
sense
out
there.
So
if
you
go
to
cochin,
you
will
have
a
group
of
about
eight
ten
people
that
are
very,
very
active
out
there.
A
What
we
really
need
for
all
of
these
things
is,
you
know
local,
Drive
and
local
initiative
to
be
able
to
put
together.
That
is
something
that
I
think
is
missing,
but
we
need
to.
We
need
to
really
make
that
happen.
In
some
senses
were
six
as
I.
Already
explained
these
a
line
of
business
solutions,
we
have
56,
which
are
very,
very
active,
urge
you,
if
you
are
in
an
industry,
to
participate,
and
if
your
industry
is
not
there
or
your
horizontal
is
not
there.
Let's
get
ideas
in
on
how
to
get
more
sick
started.
A
The
one
thing
we
need
is
a
very
active
see.
A
government
thing
is
of
no
use
to
anybody
is
just
good
work
in
some
sense
of
the
word,
so
we
don't
want
a
dormant
sing
in
some
sense
of
the
word.
We
want
people
to
do
active
work
out
of
the
six
we
land
up,
doing
customer
connection
and
customer
influence
work
in
some
sense.
A
The
word
specific
problem
solutions
for
existing
solutions
that
we've
got
the
good
part
of
all
of
this
is
that,
with
the
online
presence,
we
are
going
to
be
able
to
host
all
the
webinars
on
that
platform,
which
means,
if
you
miss
the
live
webinar.
You
should
be
able
to
take
the
most
out
of
the
recordings
that
you
would
get
on
that
platform
in
some
sense
of
the
word.
So
there
is,
there
is
value
still
to
be
garnered,
even
if
maybe
at
that
point
of
time
you're
not
looking
for
that
particular
solution.
A
I've
already
talked
about.
You
know
whole
lot
of
executive
exchange,
both
in
India
as
well
as
in
involved
off
that
we
do
I
think
we
have
an
advantage
that
we
have
very
very
live
technology
ecosystem
in
India
and
they're
avalos
of
startups,
and
with
this
new
strategy
that
recipe
has
got
on
platform
and
really
building
services
around
that
platform,
I
think
they've
there.
There
should
be
it's
time
to
come,
a
very
good
connect
between
indian
customers
and
probably
startups
in
india.
That
allows
us
to
really
go
on
that
co-innovation
journey
in
a
very
different
manner.
A
All
of
this
is
typically
encapsulated
in
a
digital
magazine
that
we
send
out
to
all
the
customers
or
the
employees
of
customers
who
are
members
on
a
regular
basis,
and
the
indus
magazine
comes
out
pretty
much
every
month.
Updates
you
on
everything
that
we
are
doing.
So.
This
is
a
brief
snapshot
of
why
and
what
indices
and
what
we
are
going
to
do
within
this
year.
So
really
urge
you
please
participate
have
a
good
day.
Thank
you
very
much.
