Landlocked, Central Asian countries have limited options to connect to the Internet. Many have been transiting through Russia and relying on Russian services. With the recent conflict, they are worried about the impact on their own Internet services.

This event will focus on how the Internet is affected in Central Asian countries and what can be done to improve its resilience. Attendees can discuss the availability of alternative fiber paths and the technical, financial, and regulatory barriers to using them. It’s especially important now that local operators actively cooperate in peering with one another—to maintain the best possible national connectivity.

This event is organized by the Internet Society, RIPE NCC, and Euro-IX.
