quite

a
close-up
presentation
for
the
proposal:
funding
categories
analysis
from
fund
line
in
the
challenge,
Dallas
Love
cardano,
so
the
whole
purpose
of
this
proposal
was
rolling
around
looking
at
the
incentive
structures
that
are
using
Catalyst
and
how
we
can
really
understand
those
and
how
they
could
be
possibly
improved
and,
as
part
of
this
proposal,
some
of
the
things
we've
done
is
analyze.
Some
of
these
issues
that
exist
with
the
challenge
selling
process.
We've
then
looked
at
identifying
and
analyzing
the
different
approaches
which
could
be
used
for
idea
and
contributor
based
categorizations.

then
identified
the
advantages
of
using
the
more
effective
approaches
for
idea
categorizations
over
the
existing
challenge,
setting
process,
we've
analyzed
how
goals
and
objectives
impact
funding,
categorization
and
finally,
we've
created
funding
calculations
that
apply
these
more
effective
approaches,
and
it's
these
funding
categories
that
we've
been
suggesting
in
fundate
and
fund
9,
and
also
our
potential
categories
that
could
replace
the
chairman
setting
process
in
terms
of
some
of
the
key
achievements.
Collaboration
and
feedback
has
been
a
big
part
of
the
execution
of
this
proposal,
so
we've
had
two
after
Town
Halls
at
different
stages.

We've
had
two
budget
waiting
vote
discussions
so
for
both
fun
day
and
fund
9.
There
was
a
budget
waiting
vote
to
decide
what
budget
should
be
attached
to
each
of
the
capitalizations
and
those
voting
discussions
help
to
provide
feedback.
We've
also
had
many
telegram
group
conversations
and
the
occasional
one-to-one
feedback.

It
was
actually
the
aggregation
of
all
of
this
feedback
that
actually
led
to
one
of
the
categories.
The
small
and
early
stage
ideas
category
being
created
after
some
more
reflection
and
Analysis
in
terms
of
Engagement
we've
had
the
suggested
categories
hosted
on
getbook
and
that
usually
sees
around
200
visitors.
Every
month
the
peak
we
saw
was
around
2103
visitors
in
June.

Some
of
the
other
key
achievements
that
are
definitely
worthwhile
mentioning
is
around
the
return
on
investment
from
improving
the
funding
categorization
process.
We
analyze
kind
of
how
the
categorizations
are
created,
maintained
and
used
against
challenge,
settings
and
funding
categories
and
for
fun
nine
alone.
Some
of
the
even
using
conservative
estimates
for
some
of
the
parameters.
It
still
represented
an
87
overall
cost
reduction,
and
this
range
of
around
85
to
90
was
similar
across
some
of
the
previous
funding
rounds
as
well.

So
even
from
the
adoption
of
funding
categories
in
a
single
funding
round,
the
cost
of
this
analysis,
work
through
being
funded,
would
already
be
paid
for
from
the
benefits
of
cost
savings
and
Time
Savings
that
are
produced
from
using
a
better
approach
to
funding
categorization
and
there's
actually
a
even
higher
potential
for
a
return
on
investment.
If
the
improvements
to
idea
based
categorizations
by
being
Broad
and
inclusive,
unique
and
recurring,
and
also
the
suggested,
contribute
calculations
lead
to
any
percentage
Improvement
in
how
funding
is
allocated.

For
example,
in
fund
9
the
amount
there
is
12.8
million
that
was
actually
allocated
to
proposals,
so
even
a
one
percent
Improvement
would
represent
a
hundred
and
twenty
eight
thousand
dollars
Improvement
in
terms
of
how
funding
is
allocated.
So
even
small
percentage
in
points
due
to
the
amount
of
funding
that's
being
distributed,
marks
a
really
important
return
on
investment
for
the
at
least
this
kind
of
work
and
then,
finally,
this
work
is
also
foundation
for
further
work.

It
is
definitely
the
starting
point
and
not
the
finish
line
for
the
community's
work
and
also
other
ecosystems
work
on
how
to
really
create
effective
funding
calculations,
to
create
good
incentive
structures
that
lead
to
the
outcomes
that
we
want
to
to
move.
You
know
move
the
needle
in
each
of
these
ecosystems
in
terms
of
some
of
the
key
learnings
for
idea,
categorizations.
Some
of
the
more
effective
approaches
we
identified
were
categorizations
that
lent
towards
being
broad,
inclusive,
unique
and
recurring
for
contributed
categorizations,
especially
for
catalysts
and
infrastructure.

Another
key
benefit
is
the
flexibility
is
by
having
a
separate
process
and
using
categorizations
that
invite
they're
inclusive
and
invite
a
wide
range
of
proposals
where
you
allow
the
community
to
be
able
to
set
priorities
that
can
really
dynamically
and
quickly
change,
and
your
funding
categorizations
would
then
still
accept
and
invite
proposals
that
address
that
diversity
or
CH
of
changing
priorities.
So
this
is
something
that
was
incorporated
into
the
suggested
categories
in
terms
of
next
steps.

eight
proposals
that
were
funded
through
project
Catalyst
and
I'm
here
to
report
very
quickly
on
the
results.

proceed

the

community
events,
we
committed
to
12
weekly
meetups,
the
community
Meetup
was
established
for
Wednesday
3,
P.M
UTC
and
happened
weekly
for
90
to
120
Minutes
and
we've
recorded
all
of
those
meetings
and
they're
all
up
on
YouTube,
and
you
can
of
course,
look
at
this
link
and
join
us
at
our
next
weekly
Meetup,
because
we
continue
to
do
these
every
week
through
the
cardano
Catalyst
Community
Network
Meetup
Group.
We've
also
committed
for
three
monthly
events
and
fund
eight.

So
we
started
a
tradition
of
monthly
meetups
on
key
topics,
including
guest
speakers
and
onboarding
of
new
projects.

weekly
meetups

Catalyst

four
open
weekly
meetings

we

have
working
group
meetings,
Wednesdays
or
community
meeting
open
to
the
public
and
Friday.
We
have
been
participating
in
aac4c,
gimbal
token
pbl,
meeting
working
with
gimbalabs
on
their
gimbal
token
PBO.

All
of
our
meetings
for
the
community,
as
well
as
the
core
team
meetings
are
recorded
and
uploaded

our

the
core
impact
team
distributes
remuneration
by
consensus.

there's
still
a
work
in
progress,

really
good
progress
on
how
to
divide
up
the
funds
we
received
for
these
two
proposals
and
two
others
that
we're
still
working
on.

we're
not
in
our

we
have
team
members
promote
promoting
c4c
in
Africa,
Asia,
latam,
European,
Town
Hall,
as
well
as
the
Pacific
Town
Hall
impact
Fest
impact
celebration
and
town
halls
around
the
world,
including
in
Spanish
this
year.

community
collaboration

workshop
with

term
ikigai
ikigai
is
a
Japanese
term
for
life
purpose
and
really
it's
an
overlap
of
where
what
you
love.
What
you're
good
at
what
the
world
needs
and
what
you
can
be
paid
for.

Our
telegram
has
334
members.
Our
Twitter
has
542
followers.
Our
Twitter
posts
have
had
almost
50
000
Impressions
so
far,
and
our
YouTube
channel
currently
has
95
subscribers
challenges.
We're
facing
members
that
don't
get
funded
tend
to
leave
the
ecosystem.
So
we
need
to
see
how
we
improve
retention,
even
if
they
don't
get
funded.
Impact
proposals
are
really
challenging
to
get
funded,
sometimes,
especially,
if
there's
not
a
natural
challenge
category
in
which
to
place
these.
I
So
we
have
a
lot
of
people
coming
in
with
a
lot
of
grid
ideas
and
then
a
few
of
them
don't
get
funded
and
they
get
a
little
bit
discouraged
and
leave
the
ecosystem.
So
we're
trying
to
figure
out
a
way
to
improve
that
retention.
Keep
them
in
the
community,
build
some
resilience,
get
them
coming
back
and
also
find
other
ways
in
which
cardano
can
help
bring
their
projects
to
reality.

closeout

The
blockchain
Learning
Center
we've
been
working
on
a
bunch
of
amazing
things
for
the
past
year
and
I
want
to
show
you
guys
some
of
that
here
we're
going
to
start
with
our
website
and
our
courses.
We
built
a
website
on
WordPress,
and
we
did
that
because
they
have
a
great
LMS,
so
we
could
just
deploy
and
allow
people
to
start
building
courses
within
the
site.

This
is
something
that
anybody
can
do
and
we've
invited
a
lot
of
people
to
become
teachers
from
across
the
Cardone
ecosystem,
and
we've
had
a
lot
of
takers
right
now
we
have
about
eight
courses
that
people
have
built
on
our
platform.
One
of
them
is
doing
really
well
right
now
in
particular,
and
that's
the
proposal
assessor
training
for
cardano
project
Catalyst
by
Stephanie,
king
of
Lido
Nation.
This
course
has
a
lot
of
great
information
on
becoming
an
assessor
and
has
helped
at
least
15
people
I
think
so
far
get
into
that
role.

We
want
to
make
this
stuff
as
accessible
as
possible
the
life
of
an
infographic.
The
way
that
we're
going
about
creating
these
resources
is
first
talking
to
people.
We
started
at
the
Arizona
Science
Center
we've
been
going
there
for
for
more
than
seven
months
at
this
point
and
talking
to
families,
School
groups,
individuals
that
are
visiting
and
recording
all
the
questions
that
they
ask
in
a
big
spreadsheet.

We're
using
Google
forms
to
accomplish
that,
and
we
keep
track
of
what
they're
asking
about
the
questions
they're
asking
specifically
and
their
knowledge
level
disposition
age
and
take
some
notes.
We
use
all
that
information
to
help
us
carefully
develop.
These
sets
of
infographics
that
we're
working
on.
We
keep
track
of
all
the
ones
that
we
see
interest
in
and
then
we
go
about
creating
those
through
a
kind
of
Cooperative
process.
This
process
we've
been
keeping
track
of.

How
that
communicates
and
whether
it's
effective
or
not,
and
then
we
take
all
the
criticisms
from
everybody
else
and
incorporate
that
in
and
then
we
get
our
true
final
product.
So
we
have
a
system
of
of
data-based,
infographic
creation
and
then
internal
review
and
then
external
review
and
we're
trying
to
maintain
this,
like
tiered
levels
of
peer
review,
so
that
we
can
get
the
best
possible
version
of
all
these
infographics
and
make
sure
that
they're
usable
by
anyone,
we've
also
developed
a
number
of
systems
for
helping
other
people
develop
educational
strategies.

So
we'll
see
some
of
that
here
we're
creating
ways
to
to
interact
with
large
groups
of
people
and
zero
in
on
topics
that
they're
having
trouble
teaching
and
help
them
find
better
ways
to
do
it
by
talking
about
Their
audience,
helping
to
figure
out
what
their
desired
incomes
are
doing
some
prep
and
then
doing
some
mock-ups
of
new
strategies
they
could
use
to
teach.
We
also
planned
out
a
way
to
help
people
flesh
out
specific
topics
that
they
want
to
teach
others
about.

We
learned
a
lot
from
many
of
our
teacher
and
Professor
friends
in
the
community
and
we
put
together
a
model
where
we
Define
our
objectives,
assessments
our
topics
and
then
the
lessons
within
those
topics,
and
we
have
a
nested
process
for
each
of
those
lessons
as
well
about
where
we
do
objectives
and
assessments,
and
this
helps
us
make
sure
that
we're
always
thinking
about
the
people
that
we're
teaching
and
what
we
want
to
teach
as
we
design
each
part
of
the
education.
We
have.

on
everything
from
talking
about
all
the
different
ecosystems
within
blockchain
sdgs,
sustainable
development
goals
relating
blockchain
and
cardano
to
sustainable
development
goals
and
how
those
can
help

world
all

different

people
have
and
vocabulary
sets
which
we're
thinking
will
be
very
helpful
for
educators
and
event
hosts
and
anyone
else
who
really
wants
to
get
their
customers
and
Their
audience
on
the
same
page
with
them
vocabulary.

there's
a
lot
of
information.

We're
also
going
to
have
a
bunch
of
tools
in
there
like
education,
Pathways
that
people
can
go
down
and
Link
that
to
free
resources,
education,
resource
request,
forms
where
people
can
actually
Define
the
topics.
They
would
like
us
to
make
infographics
on,
and
we
can
start
doing
that
for
them.
We're
going
to
have
an
area
where
people
can
search
through
all.

Our
library
of
educational
resources
and
get
them
printed
off
and
sent
to
them
or
just
download
them
for
free
we're
going
to
have
tools
that
people
can
use
to
help
us
critique
and
perfect.
Some
of
the
resources
that
we
already
have
so
we're
trying
to
make
all
of
this
as
accessible
as
possible
for
everyone,
and
our
goal
is
to
eventually
have
all
this
in
many
different
languages
as
well.
So
we
have
built
and
some
translation
software
into
the
site
so
that
we
can
swap
out
languages
pretty
easily.
