challenge.
We
focused
on
the
challenge
kpis
that
were
part
of
the
challenge
setting
itself.
So
it
stated
its
goals
were
the
number
of
projects
that
can
be
accelerated.

Distribution
of
programs
around
the
world
to
different
audiences,
the
mentee
groups,
the

here
that
are
shown
were
pretty
well
distributed
around
the
world.
So
we
were
pretty
diverse
in
who
we
engaged
with
and
then
the
quality
and
strength
of
opportunity.
Each
accelerator
brings
our
bridge
builder
approach,
leveraged
the
unique
skills
of
each
of
the
mentors
and
we
pretty
much
custom
fit
what
we
offered
to
each
group
rather
than
coming
in
with
a
fixed
program.

So
we
helped
craft
together.
Based
on
all
of
their
feedback
fund,
eight
challenge
setting
for
funding
funded
proposals-
proposers,
unfortunately
it
didn't
get
through,
but
I
think
it
has
spurred
on
a
lot
of
conversations
around
catalyst
contributors
and
how
we
make
a
more
sustainable
environment
for
proposals
that
have
been
funded
and
how
they
can
continue
to
seek
funding
if
they're
continuing
to
meet
their
goals
and
stuff.
So
we're
excited
to
see
where
that
conversation
goes
for
the
number
of
organized
and
hosted
one-on-one
sessions.

So,
coming
back
to
the
first
one
developing
a
more
structured
approach,
we
found
that
building
networks
and
ecosystems
was
really
critical
to
the
success
of
our
mentees
and
the
continuing
of
support
of
mentorship
and
learning
was
is
really
important,
so
that
was
kind
of
one
of
the
things
we
developed
through.
Our
model
was
kind
of
not
just
helping
them
with
specific
topics,
but
helping
them
to
build
networks
and
ecosystems
and
get
tied
into
things
to
be
more
successful,
we
identified
that
many
projects
need
support.

There's
a
variety
of
topics
that
different
projects
need
includes
things
like
business
models,
strategy,
strategic
planning,
leadership,
skills,
building
mechanisms
to
turn
good
intentions
into
reliable
mechanisms
for
execution,
and
then,
lastly,
but
not
leastly,
building
community
and
then
team
alignment
we.
This
was
the
first
time
the
four
of
us
at
bridge.

Each
of
us
brings
different
strengths
to
the
group
and
being
able
to
engage
with
different
groups
using
your
different
gifts
was
really
great
to
achieve,
so
we
could
pick
and
choose
which
groups
needed,
whose
leadership
skills
or
whose
strategic
planning
skills,
and
we
assembled
the
right
team
for
the
right
mentees
in
real
time.
So
that
was
really
nice
to
be
able
to
not
do
one
size
fits
all,
but
have
people
jump
in
where
their
strengths
really
shined.

So
there
they
don't
have
an
endgame
or
an
exit
strategy
or
any
of
those
standard
things
they're
there
to
help
the
community
be
better
and
they
have
way
different
needs
than
these
other
communities.
So
that
was
really
interesting
to
to
really
be
find
clarity
around
that
through
our
mentoring
activities
and
through
that
we've
actually
developed
different
strategies
to
deal
with
the
different
types
of
stakeholders
there
and
then
one
really
key
learning
is
connecting
people
to
the
network
can
accelerate
their
success
in
catalyst.

So
we
had
a
few
mentees
who
came
in
who
are
brand
new
to
catalyst
and
they
were
able
to
connect
with
the
community,
get
the
help
they
needed
get
the
training
they
needed
understand.
The
processes
meet
the
right
people
and
put
in
proposals,
and
they
were
successful
in
fund
eight,
so
that
was
a
really
great
kind
of
key
learning
that
we
can
actually
help
accelerate
through
the
mentorship
process
and
engaging
and
connecting
people
to
the
network
all
right.

So
what
are
our
next
steps?
Our
next
steps
for
bridge
builders
is
creating
our
own
strategic
plan
and
business
model.
So
we've
started
this
process.
We're
eating
our
own
dog
food
and
going
through
our
strategic
strategic
plan,
blueprint
ourselves
and
creating
our
own
strategic
plan
as
an
organization,
and
we
will
continue
building
blueprints
for
mentorship.

So
our
strategic
planning
blueprint
is
our
first
one.
We
will
continue
with
others,
such
as
how
to
effectively
use
business
model
canvases
and
how
to
discover
your
mission,
vision
and
purpose,
and
things
like
that
cross
chain.
Collaboration
is
important,
so
we
are
reach
actively
reaching
out
to
other
blockchains
who
are
either
congruent
or
aligned
with
cardano.
So
we
can
start
to
bring
some
of
those
people
into
the
catalyst
ecosystem,
as
well
as
bridge
to
their
block
change
as
well
the
future's
cross
chain.

we
want
to
make
sure
that
we're
part
of
that
conversation
out
there
connecting
to
external
entities
and
groups
to
cardano
is
a
prime
goal
of
ours.
So
we
work
within
catalyst
and
within
a
lot
of
the
communities
inside
catalyst,
but
we
also
actively
seek
out
external
entities
and
groups
that
may
find
catalyst
or
cardano
interesting.
So
that's
one
of
our
key
activities
that
we're
going
to
be
engaging
in
next
and
we're
really
working
towards
encouraging
a
culture
where
funded
proposals
include
mentoring.

As
a
budget
item,
we
found
that
mentoring
was
a
secret
sauce
for
a
lot
of
the
projects
that
we
mentored.
So
we
do
think
that
mentoring
is
important
and
having
catalyst
fund
mentors
to
go
out
and
mentor
projects
is
not
a
long-term
sustainable
thing.
So
we
want
to
encourage
a
culture
where
funded
proposals.
Proposers
are
including
line
items
for
mentoring
within
their
budget
so
that
they
can
be
more
successful
over
time
and
their
mentoring
won't
just
come
from
bridge
builders.

catalyst
communities
with
youtube
videos

meetings.
We've
increased
adoption
and
use
of

ledger

and
tools

partners.
This
work
involves
the
cardano
and
open
source
standards,
ssi
communities
we
participate,
contribute
and
promote
in
order
to
bring
them
closer

being

attendees,

the
meetings
were

in

bi-weekly
and
the
architecture
task
force.

effort

meetings
about
the
complexities
of
backing
up
and
restoring
an
identity
wallet,
we
formed
the
first
meeting
in
aries
for
a
defined
identity,
wallet,
backup
spec
that
would
enable
recovery
of
an
ssi
wallet
across
wallet.

Vendors,
currently,
identity,
wallet,
backup
and
restore
is
specific
to
each
identity.
Wallet
vendor,
but
a
user's
identity
should
never
be
locked
into
a
particular
identity
stack,
so
the
ability
to
recover
a
user's
identity
data
with
a
different
identity
wallet
would
be
an
incredible
leap
towards
interoperability.

we
produced
eight
roots
id
ssi
report,
videos
and
spent
three
days
at
the
consensus
2022
conference
spreading
the
news
of
ssi
standards
and
a
teleprism
attending
consensus.
2022
was
an
unexpected
highlight.
Neen

worked
his
magic
to
get
us
a
ticket
and
cardano
had
a
huge
pre-event
and
presence
root's
id
spent
three
hours
at
the
cardano
pre-event
in
the
atala
prison
booth
answering
questions
about
did's,
verifiable
credentials,
privacy
and
security.
We
were
also
able
to
speak
at
the
cardano
booth.
During
the
regular
conference.

were
able
to
have
many
conversations
about
identity
efforts
with
world
mobile,
emergo,
kyc
and
big
data,
analytic
team.
We
also
attended
an
incredible
ssi
panel
and
got
a
chance
to
ask
drummond
reed
a
few
questions
about
the
future
of
ssi.
Finally,
we
met
charles
and
discuss
the
future
of
identity.
While
it's
on
cardano
and
a
certification
process
that
will
be
needed
to
ensure
quality
across
the
ecosystem,
we
are
regularly
adjusting
the
roots
id
roadmap
as
our
knowledge
and
the
ssi
community
evolved
over
time.

biggest
moves
in
fund
8
were
towards
embracing
the
hyperledger
aries
ecosystem
more
in
order
to
bring
their
significant
work
back
to
the
cardano
catalyst
and
a
teleprism
communities.
Historically,
ares
software
was
tied
very
closely
with
the
indy
ledger,
but
there
are
a
lot
of
efforts
being
made
to
separate
and
modulize
their
ssi
software
to
allow
the
integration
of
other
ledgers,
blockchains
and
peer-to-peer
distributed
systems.

to

with

the

meetings

there
must
be
some
wealth

information

there
an
opportunity
for
people
to
catch
up?

there

kind

directory

people

browse

find
out,
and
maybe
if
you
were
to
highlight
like
one
key
theme
which
is
universal
or
very
endemic
almost
through
all
of
these
different?
You
know
projects
and
organizations
in
a
space
that
sort
of
unites
them
like
what
would
it
be.

Yeah,
absolutely
so
trust
over
rp
and
diff
and
hyper
ledger,
they're
all
open
source
communities,
so
they
all
have
calendars
that
you
can
subscribe
to.
There's
an
incredible
amount
of
meetings.
Literally
every
day
when
I
first
started
joining
those
meetings
it
was
like,
which
ones
do
I
go
to
I'm
building,
identity,
wallet
and
identity
wallets
need
all
of
this
stuff
that
they're
talking
about.

So
it
took
some
time
to
kind
of
comb
through
a
bunch
of
those
projects
and
find
the
ones
that
are
most
helpful
for
us,
but
I
would
say
the
biggest
underlying
thread
is
all
three
of
those
communities
are
building
open
standards.
Open
standards
allow
for
interoperability,
and
interoperability
is
the
the
king
of
ssi
right.
So
we
can
build
ssi
technologies
as
much
as
we
want.

can
build
identity
wallets
as
much
as
we
want,
but
if
they
don't
connect
right,
if
my
identity
wallet
doesn't
connect
to
another
identity,
while
it
doesn't
connect
to
another
mediator
or
agent
or
whatever
it
is,
then
none
of
this
works.
It's
just
like
the
internet.
The
ssi
stack
is
just
building
on
top
of
the
internet,
stack
to
create
a
web
of
trust
and
identity,
and
so
open
standards
and
the
interoperability
that
comes
from
those
are
are
the
lifeblood
of
all
these
things.

I
didn't
spend
a
lot
of
time
as
a
software
developer.
Reading
you
know,
specs,
you
know
underlying
specs,
for
whatever
the
underlying
technologies
are
for
these
things.
I
did
a
lot
of
integration
work
in
like
my
first
20
years
of
software
development,
but
these
specs
are
everything,
because
if
software
is
built
to
the
specs-
and
we
can
start
doing,
things
like
aries
is
about
to
have
a
big,
what
they
call
an
interop-a-thon.

That's
august,
31st,
they're,
gonna
host
that
and
that's
just
literally
developers
coming
together,
saying
we're
we're
trying
to
implement
the
spec
together.
We're
trying
to
can
be
able
to
connect
with
each
other
systems
to
share
dids
and
verifiable
credentials,
and
all
these
things
that
are
important
to
ssi
and
so
that
that's
really
what
these
communities
are
all
about.
They're,
very
kind.
It's
it's
a
lot
like
catalyst.

community
