From YouTube: Organizing Jenkins Online Community Events
Description
Recording of the Jenkins online event organizer onboarding session we had on April 15, 2021. During this session Oleg Nenashev provided a quick overview of Jenkins events and ways to contribute, regardless of the level of experience. Then we had introductions and Q&A with all participants and defined the format for the future collaboration.

A
Hello,
welcome
to
the
jenkins
advocacy
and
outreach
sick
meeting
today
is
april
15th
and
we
are
doing
a
special
session
about
organizing
jenkins
community
events
just
to
share
some
context.
A
My
name
is
alex
nashville,
I'm
a
jenkins
governance
board
member
and
we
actually
looking
for
some
help,
because
in
junkies
we
organize
a
lot
of
community
events,
meetups,
hackathons,
etc,
and
all
these
events
they
require
some
contribution
to
make
them
happen,
and
hence
we
launched
a
public
call
in
the
community
inviting
people
to
join
and
contribute
to
events,
organizing
hosting
logistics
and
the
today's
session
is
basically
the
first
onboarding
session
where
you
have
this
discussion.
A
A
Yeah,
that's
for
sure
so
yeah,
let's
just
talk,
so
I
will
do
a
really
quick
introduction.
Then
I
will
do
whatever
view
of
events
we're
doing.
Then
I
will
talk
about
how
to
contribute
and
the
waiving
contributions,
and
then
we
will
have
open
discussions
of
discussion
about
anything
for
meeting
nodes.
A
A
A
A
It's
been
used
in
various
areas,
and
one
of
the
important
areas
for
us
is
to
actually
share
experiences
share
knowledge
about
jenkins,
and
for
that
we
use
various
activities,
including
online
events,
and
we
also
have
quite
a
number
of
contributors
helping
with
this
areas
and
it's
a
really
important
part
of
the
jenkins
community,
because
without
that
we
wouldn't
be
able
to
have
so
many
users.
We
wouldn't
be
able
to
have
so
much
documentation.
Various
videos
published
on
the
internets
about
jenkins
and
yeah.
We
encourage
everyone
to
participate
participate.
A
So
if
you
have
never
seen
this
page
before
I'll,
probably
start
stopping
the
screen
for
now,
so
we
have
a
page.
Thank
you.
Slash
participate
this
page
releases
common
types
of
contributions,
including
how
to
code,
how
to
configure
documentation,
design,
artwork
authorizations
and
just
helping
users
today
we're
talking
rather
about
midsection.
A
This
section
is
not
about
details,
I
would
say,
but
this
section
basically
talks
about
the
events
we
have
and
how
to
contribute
how
the
contribute
is.
Basically,
please
please
reach
out
to
advocates
and
fghc
and
yeah.
The
today's
session
is
just
one
step
to
actually
improve
this
documentation
and
to
provide
more
materials
for
contributors,
so
it
will
be
updated
later.
A
So
in
jenkins,
we
have
advocacy
and
outreach
special
interest
group.
The
special
interest
group
focuses
basically
on
various
kinds
of
outreach
and
sharing
knowledge,
so
we
focus
on
multiple
areas,
just
organizing
online
events,
about
what
we're
talking
today.
We
also
focus
on
onboarding
contributors,
for
example,
code
commuters,
organizing
special
programs
like
hackathons
or
coordinating
events.
For
example.
A
Maybe
you
participated
in
huckleberry
first,
and
the
jenkins
project
would
also
participate
in
hotel
profess
on
a
regular
basis,
and
the
v6
is
working
on
that
and
basically,
almost
all
the
events
are
cut
related
are
under
the
umbrella
of
advocacy
and
outreach
special
interest
group.
So
this
special
interest
group,
so
I
wouldn't
actually
take
into
account
the
list
of
members,
because
it's
rather
legacy
on
the
jenkins
website
but
yeah.
What
we
have.
A
We
have
a
mailing
list,
we
have
a
regular
chat
for
the
contributors
and
we
also
have
regular
meetings
every
two
weeks.
So,
for
example,
the
next
meeting
will
happen
next
thursday
and
yeah,
so
you
can
find
that
yeah.
There
are
some
ongoing
discussions
here.
There
is
also
a
chat
and
editor
which
you
can
join
and
discuss
any
topics
related
to
jenkins
events,
etc
and
yeah.
Actually,
what
I
wanted
to
say
that
yeah
really
jenkins
needs
you,
because
organizing
comments
is
an
important
part,
especially
when
we
talk
about
local
events,
local
meetups,
etc.
A
There
are
a
lot
of
opportunities,
but
all
of
that
depends
on
contributors,
because
the
entire
junkies
project
is
driven
by
volunteers
and
any
contribution
matters
for
us.
Okay.
So
speaking
about
events,
what
do
we
do?
One
of
the
key
events
is
jenkins
online
meetups,
and
then
we
have
jenkins
aerial
and
sacd
ups.
Basically,
local
events
recognize
conferences.
You
have
a
nice
outreach
programs
and
we
do
some
bits
in
addition
to
that.
But
these
are
four
main
types
of
events
we
handle
and
I'm
going
to
dive
into
the
these
event
types.
A
A
Quite
consistent
event,
so
if
you
go
to
meetup.com,
there
is
a
page
for
jenkins
online
meetup,
and
today
we
organize
events
at
least
every
month.
By
now
we
have
47
online
meetups.
They
target
users
and
contributors.
For
example,
we
can
have
a
meetup
where
agencies,
which
is
their
war
story.
Sometimes
you
have
contributors
coming
and
talking
about
new
features,
for
example,
new
zealand's
core
releases
on
new
features
being
released,
and
sometimes
we
organize
events
for
contributors
like
developers,
meetups
all
of
that
happens
on
this
platform.
A
C
A
There
will
be
false
events,
contributor
summit,
about
which
we
can
talk
later,
but
we
actually
want
to
organize
a
few
meetups
soon
and
this
currently
our
main
program.
So
we
have
a
platform
for
meetups
sponsored
by
the
continuous
delivery
foundation,
so
we
can
host
up
to
500
participants
in
zoom.
We
usually
record
this
chance,
publish
them
on
our
youtube
channel
from
all
through
social
media.
We
also
control
and
yeah.
A
It
helps
us
a
lot
to
share
information
about
jenkins,
so
this
online
meetups
again
they
are
organized
and
hosted
by
volunteers,
for
example,
me
mark
who's
on
the
call
we
hosted
quite
a
number
of
meetups
olivia
has
presented
jenkins
release
automation
infrastructure
in
august.
If
I
recall
correctly,
I
mean
we
want
these
meetups
to
happen,
but
to
do
that
we
need
speakers,
we
need
hosts
and
it's
one
of
the
areas
where
everyone
can
contribute
for
local
events.
Well,
so
right
now
there
is
no
local
events
in
terms
of
offline
events.
A
At
the
best
times
we
have
something
like
if
I
recall,
60
or
70
meetups
around
the
world.
For
example,
there
you
meet
ups
in
different
cities
in
europe
in
the
united
states
in
africa
right
now.
Almost
all
these
events
are
negative
because
of
coronavirus
and
other
online
events.
At
the
same
time,
it's
still
important
to
have
local
online
events,
for
example
in
national
languages,
because
there
is
a
lot
of
people
who
don't
speak
english
or
who
prefer
to
still
maintain
a
local
community,
and
this
is
again
a
good
opportunity
to
contribute.
A
So,
for
example,
in
your
city,
jenkins,
is
quite
popular
yeah.
It
still
has
more
than
50
percent
of
the
market
in
cicd
and
automation,
so
most
likely
in
your
city.
There
are
hundreds
of
thousands
of
developers
using
jenkins
who
would
be
interested
to
participate
in
the
meet
up
and
it's
a
good
opportunity
to
build
a
local
community.
A
So,
for
example,
I
am
the
leader
of
saint
petersburg,
jenkins,
meetup
of
swiss
jenkins
meetup
and
saint
petersburg
jenkins
meetup.
We
have
something
three
thousand
participants
by
now
yeah
again
last
event
we
hosted
was
in
october,
but
yeah.
I
want
to
post
another
one,
and
these
events
are
quite
active,
but
they
need
people
on
the
ground.
So
usually,
when
you
want
to
organize
something,
we
recommend
to
just
do
it
in
your
city
and
we
are
happy
to
help.
For
example,
the
candidates
delivery
foundation
provides
us
a
visa
platform
which
everyone
can
use.
A
D
Oh,
like
I,
I,
the
loca
as
an
example
of
a
local
event
that
had
an
impressive
attendance.
You
spoke
you
and
I
spoke
at
code
for
cause
and,
and
there
were
what
a
hundred
plus
that
attended
that
session-
and
there
have
been
thousands
of
views
of
that
thing,
so,
in
particular,
in
different
time
zones.
I
think
that
this
kind
of
this
kind
of
organizing
a
meetup
is
very,
very
powerful,
yeah
right.
So.
A
In
this
case
mark
talks
about
the
event
which
was
in
english,
but
it
was
conducted
basically
on
the
platform
quite
popular
in
india,
so
quarterback
courses
organized
by
several
contributors.
We
have
something
like
fire
50
subscribers
on
youtube,
just
trying
to
remember
the
interface
again,
okay,
so
yeah.
Basically
the
recording
is
here
because
we
were
talking
about
contributing
jenkins.
A
It
was
quite
a
big
event
for
us
and
yeah
such
events
not
necessarily
hosted
by
the
jenkins
community,
they're
still
quite
important
for
us.
So
if
you
just
want
to
share
the
work
about
jenkins,
if
you
want
to
present
any
use
cases,
basically
you
can
go
to
any
local
meetup
or
to
podcast
and
again
we
will
be
happy
to
help
with
that.
A
A
So
for
the
rest
of
the
events,
what
we
have
so
conferences
again,
all
conferences
are
rather
online.
We
do
not
encourage
local
events
at
the
moment.
Still
there
are
many
conferences
we
participate
in
so,
for
example,
cdcon.
The
next
con
will
happen
in
june
devops
world
former
jenkins
world.
It
will
happen
in
september.
A
A
The
hostile
sessions,
like
birther
fees,
are
asked
by
experts,
workshops
and
various
other
clock,
widget
events
and
again,
in
the
case
of
this
event,
we
need
contributors
on
the
ground
or
online
or
are
interested
to
dedicate
their
time
and
to
organize
these
events
to
catch
them
donate
and
it's
a
good
opportunity.
Also.
There
are
many
industry
specific
events.
For
example,
in
my
case
I
usually
go
to
hardware
embedded
conferences
and
again
there
is
a
lot
of
opportunities
to
talk
about
jenkins
there
for
outreach
programs.
A
We
have,
we
didn't
participate
a
lot,
because
one
of
our
objectives
of
advocacy
and
outreach
seek
is
to
actually
grow
contributor
numbers
increase
visibility
of
the
project,
so
we
try
to
participate
in
common
programs,
for
example
right
now,
there
is
google
summer,
of
course,
starting
for
jenkins.
It
will
be
fifth
year
when
we
participate.
A
A
A
So,
for
example,
if
there
is
evidence
in
your
country
like
hacker
gun
or
whatever,
if
you
want
to
organize
something
and
to
basically
just
get
together
about
jenkins,
it's
whatever
you
need
to
do.
A
Okay,
what
else
do
I
have
here?
Okay,
actually
how
to
help.
I
mentioned
a
few
examples,
but
yeah
what
we
really
need
at
the
moment
is
organizers,
because
any
event,
if
you
wanted
to
happen,
there
is
all
the
public
work
to
be
done,
for
example,
just
organizing
the
event
announcing
that
hosting
that
and
the
rating
that
and,
of
course,
the
results-
a
lot
of
logistics
to
happen,
because
if
you
want
to
have
an
event,
we
need
to
announce
it.
So
just
to
show
you
a
few
examples.
A
So
here
there
are
some
meetup
pages,
google
summer
of
code.
This
is
a
presentation
we
were
doing
is
mark
together
a
couple
of
weeks
ago.
Yeah
also
had
quite
a
number
okay.
Yes,
we
also
have
social
media.
For
example,
if
you
go
to
linkedin
or
if
you
go
to
twitter,
the
virginia's
accounts
them
again
led
by
advocacy
and
lgc,
and
there
are
various
announcements.
A
Promotion
of
existing
events,
not
necessarily
hosted
by
jenkins,
for
example,
there
is
this
repost
for
podcast
is
one
of
jenkins
contributors,
and
if
you
scroll
down,
you
can
see
that
there
is
various
content,
but
we
also
announce
events
there,
and
it
means
that
if
you
just
see
an
event
which
we
have
missed,
it's
a
good
opportunity
to
share
information
so
that
we
can
publish
that
and
promote
it.
So
that
again,
it
gets
more
traction
same
for
the
jenkins
website.
So
here
you
can
see
that
we
announced
some
events
on
the
front
page.
A
For
example,
africa
contribute
on
it's
a
program
which
is
happening
now.
There
are
several
mentors
from
the
jenkins
project.
Yeah
g-shock
again
something
to
update
jenkins
is
the
way
it's
ongoing
outreach
program
where
we
basically
try
to
collect
feedback
from
users,
their
watch
stories
and
exchange
for
cool
t-shirts
and
stickers.
A
And
again
it's
on
the
library
for
focusing
on
hcc,
and
we
try
to
promote
these
events
here
again.
Cdcon
generic
thing
for
contributing.
So
right
now
all
the
major
news
about
events.
Actually,
we
have
our
own
event
calendar.
So
it's
searching
for
your
events
and
again
again.
Also,
we
add
them
to
the
jenkins
community
newsletters
and
the
convenience
delivery
foundational
umbrella
organization,
also
them
to
them
the
new
letters.
So
there
is
a
lot
of
such
content
here
and
there
which
again
needs
to
be
maintained.
A
It
requires
some
contributing
time,
but
at
the
same
time,
all
of
that
relatively
small
and
atomic
tasks.
For
example,
if
you
have
10
minutes
per
week
or
so
you
still
can
help
the
project
and
it
is
too
much
appreciated
what
else
do
we
have,
of
course,
a
lot
of
logistics
and
because
again
this
events
and
captivation,
we
do
announcements,
we
just
try
to
build
contributor
teams.
Sometimes
we
have
other
objectives,
for
example,
disability
and
schwag,
to
prevent
pakistan's,
etc.
A
And
again,
all
the
services
need
some
contributing
from
our
volunteers,
not
of
these
activities.
Not
all
of
these
activities
are
really
exciting
but
yeah.
Again,
there
is
a
big
team,
so
we
try
to
load
balance
to
that
and
yeah
as
volunteers.
Basically,
you
choose
what
you
contribute
to
so
definitely
there
won't
be
a
manager
who
says
what
you
do
but
yeah.
If
you
are
ready
to
help
using
a
particular
task,
it
will
be
much
appreciated,
also
stuffing
booths,
contributing
various
design
work.
Because
again
for
many
events,
we
try
to
create
something
special.
A
A
This
is
for
belgium,
meetup,
olivia,
organizers
and
yeah,
et
cetera,
et
cetera
and
again,
if
you
just
have
an
idea,
what
could
be
done
essentially
just
let
us
know
because
yeah
all
of
this
content,
we
also
use
to
raise
up
the
project's
visibility
and,
if
you're
interested
to
help
yeah
again
jenkins
is
a
huge
ecosystem
with
thousands
of
different
con
components,
basically
pretty
much
every
technology
we
have
on
the
market,
etc.
So
if
you
have
an
idea
how
to
contribute,
we
will
definitely
find
something
conjunctions.
A
Okay-
and
I
guess
that's
all
I
had
with
regards
to
slides
so
sorry
if
it
took
longer
than
a
plant,
I
just
wanted
to
provide
the
1000
feet
overview
of
what
we
know
of
37
feet,
right,
okay,
so
and
now
I
would
rather
spend
some
time
on
introductions
so
to
discuss.
A
What
are
you
interested
in
and
maybe
I'll
talk
about
what
other
specific
areas
you
would
like
to
focus
on
so
that
we
could
deep
dive
into
these
topics.
A
D
Sure
I'm
I'm
mark
waite,
I'm
the
jenkins
documentation,
officer
and
part
of
the
advocacy
and
outreach
sig
and
happy
to
help
I'm
actually
going
to
be
exercising
exactly
the
steps
that
oleg
has
been
describing,
as
I
will
be,
providing
a
pro
proposing
and
jenkins
online
meet
up
with
uli
hoffner
sharing
some
of
the
things
he
does
to
do
plug-in
development
setup
for
his
students,
and
so
I
I
think
the
community
will
be
will
find
it
useful
and
interesting
and
I'm
planning
to
go
through
these
steps.
B
In
my
case,
my
name
is
olivier:
I'm
the
jenkins
infrastructure
officer,
so
I
coordinate
every
work
related
to
infrastructure,
so
one
of
them
was
to
deploy
the
jenkins
at
your
website.
I'm
also
organizing
a
few
events
I
used
to
organize
jenkins
meetup
in
belgium,
I'm
also
organizing
the
cicd
room
at
fosem,
which
is
a
major
open
source
conference
in
belgium
as
well
and
so
yeah.
I'm
I'm
really
glad
to
help.
If
you
have
any
question,
feel
free
to
ask.
E
Hi
everyone,
so
I'm
new
to
this
group
from
india,
so
I've
been
mostly
you
know,
user
of
jenkins
for
the
six
years
and
so
I've
extensively
used
it.
I
met
I'm
a
depth.
Second,
I
remember
my
organization,
so
I
I
saw
the
announcement
looking
for
contributors.
E
You
know
on
the
out
speech
program
on
linkedin,
so
I
thought
I
would
want
to
help
so
I
mean
I
I
would
like
to
contribute.
I
don't
know
how,
but
you
know
what
I
think
this
presentation
gave
me
some
structure.
Okay,
I
might
read
something
you
know
I
can
work
with
some
of
you
in
your
organizing
sessions
and
also
get
some
understanding
how
these
things
are
done
and
make
sure
I
can
continue
to.
F
Yeah,
so
I
am
busy
a
software
engineer
from
nigeria.
We
currently
use
jenkins
at
my
workplace
and
with
different
open
source
projects
I
contribute
to
so
I
saw
a
tweet
from
oleg
that
he
was
looking
out
for
some
contributors
to
the
project
and
I'm
very
happy
to
contribute,
especially
I'm
from
africa.
I
think
a
lot
of
africans
will
benefit
from
this
outreach
program,
so
I'm
happy
to
be
here
and
to
share
in
the
process.
G
I
Hello,
yeah,
hello,
everyone,
it's
from
india
and
I'm
in
the
open
source
community
for
quite
a
long
time
as
I
started
my
career
and
learning
from
the
open
source
community
itself.
So
I
have
a
love
for
the
open
source
community
itself
so
and
I'm
also
a
part
of
the
open
source
community
owsp
chapter
here
in
kolkata,
I
reside
in
the
kolkata,
so.
I
And
whatever
way
I
can,
as
per
my
limitations,
so
I
saw
the
post
of
contribution
so
thought
that
it
will
be
a
great
opportunity
to
learn
from
other
persons
who
are
organizing
large
events
like
jen
cain's
devops
worlds,
like
that.
I
also
attended
devos
wolves
as
well
so,
and
it
will
be
very
interesting
working
with
you
all
and
learning
from
each
other's
and
enhancing
my
knowledge
as
well.
So
that
is
the
main
interesting
thing
I
love
to
contribute.
Whatever
we
can,
I
can
and
first
of
all
I
should.
A
Thank
you,
okay.
So
thanks
to
everyone
for
introduction
again,
I
was
doing
some
notes
and
yeah,
I'm
not
obviously
terrible
at
taking
notes.
So
if
you
see
any
mistakes
or
want
to
add
something
just
go
to
the
google
doc
and
you
can
put
any
updates
there,
I'm
sorry
if
I
missed
something
or
made
a
mistake.
A
Okay,
so
we
can
spend
some
time
discussing
various
particular
areas.
So,
for
example,
where
would
you
like
to
start
and
how
you
would
like
to
organize
the
things
by
default?
Yeah,
my
recommendation
is
to
start
from
local
events
or
maybe
from
online
meetups,
because
yeah
this
is
the
way
we
need
contributors
basically
non-stop
the
same
for
technical
programs,
though
right
now
we
have
three
programs
running
in
parallel,
so
we
have
google
summer.
A
B
If
I
can
just
add
one
advice,
which
is
when
organizing
events,
it's
always
a
good
thing
to
try
to
identify
someone
who
can
help
you,
so
if
you
can
identify
someone
local
to
your,
I
mean
your
community,
whatever
it's
always
interesting
to
have
someone
with
who
you
can
talk,
can
share
ideas,
maybe
discuss
about
dates,
or
whatever
I
mean,
that's
something
that
helped
me
a.
B
F
Oh,
like
you
mentioned,
there
was
a
gita
channel.
Can
you
please
share
the
link
on
the
chat.
H
Channel,
I
think,
all
right,
so
I
can
do
that
here.
We
go.
A
Yeah,
thank
you
mark.
So
in
our
case,
communication
channels
are
a
bit
scattered,
let's
say
so
so
yeah.
If
you
think
inside
your
chat,
yeah,
you
can
find
that
we
have
a
lot
of
communication
channels.
We
have
git
that
became
our
default
de
facto
standards.
We
have
jenkins
cia
jenkins,
it's
basically
main
channel.
A
Then
we
have
a
special
channel
for
newcomer
contributors
where
anyone
basically
can
just
go.
There
ask
any
question
and
we
will
either
answer
that
or
help
find
a
proper
channel,
and
we
also
use
irc
for
some
matters.
For
example,
jenkins
release
team
uses
fc
genki
security
in
kinder
uses.
Fc
infrastructure
team
also
uses
fc
at
the
moment,
but
yeah.
I
guess
it
becomes
less
and
less
clear
what
we
use
with
matrix
introduction
so
but
again,
and
we
also
have
some
channels
in
slack.
A
So,
for
example,
continuous
delivery
foundation
leaves
in
slack
and
there
is
special
domain
for
that.
The
continuous
delivery
foundation
also
has
its
own
outreach
committee.
They
have
their
own
slide
channel
about
meetups.
If
you
interest,
you
can
join
that
as
well
and
yeah.
Some
of
our
sub
projects
and
companies
also
located
in
different
channels,
for
example,
there's
jenkins
channel
and
kubernetes
log
and
drinks
separated
for
kubernetes,
actually
lives
in
another
project.
A
So
it's
a
bit
messy
sometimes,
but
if
you
cannot
find
something,
if
you
have
questions
just
ask-
and
there
are
also
various
local
community
chats,
for
example,
I'm
leader
of
russian
speaking
community,
we
have
a
chat
in
telegram.
We
have
our
own
meetups,
we
have
had
our
own
mailing
list,
so
there
are
such
local
resources
here
and
there.
C
A
So
yeah,
that's
basically
what
happens
with
our
charts
for
advocacy
and
outreach.
We
mostly
use
this
chart
and
the
mailing
list
in
this
chat.
You
can
see
that
maybe
half
of
the
messages
are
related
to
retweeting
reposting,
something
and
the
other
half
of
the
messages
with
various
discussions
about
events.
So
probably
we'll
split
this
channel
eventually,
but
yeah.
Basically,
any
matters
with
events
can
be
freely
discussed
there.
I
Yeah,
so
regarding
the
irc
channels,
so
these
are
these
discussions.
So
contributors
discussions
mainly
go
on
the
slash
jenkins
channel,
or
I
am
a
member
of
the
splash
jain
has
jenkins.
So
these
type
of
discussions
contributors
discussions
also
go
on
this
channel
or
there
is
a
separate
irc
channel
for
that.
A
So
when
I
started
contributing
to
jenkins
most
of
the
discussions,
you're
happening
in
this
rfc
channel,
what's
going
on
okay,
so
I'm
using
hc
cloud
but
yeah.
This
is
basically
jenkins
channel
on
the
free
node,
so
you
can
join
it
using
client.
A
So
you
can
see
that
there
are
some
discussions
happening
there.
There
are
also
some
other
drinks
related
meetings,
but
historically
it
happened
that
many
projects
in
some
projects
and
special
interest
groups
moved
to
gita.
A
B
I
I
just
wanted
to
add,
so
there
is
a
specific
page
on
the
jenkins
that
I
website,
which
is
jenkins,
studios
chat
and
there
you
have
a
list
of
two
different
communication
channels
where
people
talk
about
on
a
specific
topic.
The
reason
why
you
have
so
many
different
is
because
you
have
a
lot
of
different
groups,
people
working
on
different
things
and
everybody
has
his
preference.
So
some
people
really
tells
you
that
life
is
awesome.
Other
people
don't-
and
you
also
have
the
history
like.
B
Historically,
we
were
on
rc
today,
not
everybody
use
harris
anymore,
so
it
really
depends
on
the
group
of
people.
If
I
can
advise
something
which
is
element
that
I
o,
so
it's
a
matrix
client
which
allows
you
to
have
a
bridge
between
kitter,
rc
or
whatever
so
just
create
some.
B
Yeah,
that's
a
matrix
yeah,
so
you
just
create
an
account
there
and
then
you
can
use
it.
So
personally,
I'm
using
it.
So
I
don't
read
my
attention
if
I'm
on
twitter
or
rc,
I'm
just,
I
just
have
a
list
of
rooms
and
I
just
discussed
those
but
yeah.
That's
that's
that's
the
thing,
and
otherwise,
while
I'm
also
the
website
you,
so
you
have
the
changes
chats.
Those
are
the
discussion
you
have
also
the
calendar
listed
on
the
website.
B
So
if
you're
curious
about
the
future
events
and
yeah,
you
have
a
lot
of
different
information,
also
around
communities
and
and
other
projects
yeah.
So
speaking
of
events,
we
didn't.
A
Dive
from
that
so
yeah,
in
addition
to
events,
I
am
briefly
listed,
which
are
basically
events.
We
are
organizing
the
focusing
of
hc
elsewhere,
they're
also
coming
events,
so
here
we
have
a
calendar
and
this
calendar.
Basically,
you
can
edit
your
google
calendar
or
whatever,
if
you're
interested
and
there
we
basically
list
all
community
events.
So,
for
example,
this
meeting
is
here
on
boarding.
A
This
is
a
public
calendar,
so
anyone
can
technically
join
a
any
session
or
at
least
the
most
of
them,
and
you
can
find
all
of
them
here,
so
you
can
basically
navigate
and
see
what
happens
and
when
so,
we
are
distributed
across
multiple
time
zones,
so
some
meetings
happen,
for
example,
at
one
game
for
me,
so
I
cannot
really
participate
but
yeah
it's
how
it
happens
and
yeah
you
can
just
find
all
the
meetings
here,
for
example,
advocacy
and
fish
is
also
listed.
A
F
A
Because
yeah,
it's
one
of
the
reasons
for
this
meeting
to
firstly,
help
you
to
get
on
board
and,
secondly,
to
aggregate
something
in
a
single
location,
so,
for
example,
yeah
I
started
this
slide
deck,
so
I
will
be
sharing
that
and
maybe
converting
some
of
these
notes
to
the
documentation
so
how
to
find
things
right
now.
So
for
events,
we
have
to
drink
sales
events
and
it
also
links
to
online
meetups
local
methods,
contributor
summits.
A
B
And
so,
if,
if
you
identify
a
place
where
you
don't
have
enough,
information
just
feel
free
to
open
the
pr
with
the
info
with
additional
information-
and
it's
also
interesting
to
I
mean
it's
even
more
interesting
to
contribute
when
you're
looking
for
an
information
that
you
can't
find,
because
when
you
work
on
something
for
quite
long
time,
you
tend
to
miss
those
information
which
are
not.
I
mean
obvious,
all
the
time.
C
A
Slowly
running
out
of
time,
but
I
can
stay
for
another
half
an
hour
if
you
want
to
deep
dive
to
other
topics
so
and
we
can
continue
if
you
want
so.
A
Maybe
yeah
since
one
reference
to
our
chapter,
one
of
our
opportunities
being
using
the
advocacy
of
which
stick
is
actually
sharing
information,
sharing
content,
including
context
of
participating
potential
speakers
because
yeah
for
many
event,
organizers.
One
of
the
difficulties,
is
to
actually
find
someone
who
would
be
presenting.
A
For
example,
if
we
talk
about
our
last
chapter
yesterday,
one
of
our
colleagues
and
fellow
jinx
contributors,
who
was
doing
the
presentation
about
defect
dodger,
which
is
a
one
of
our
projects.
So,
for
example,
if
you
want
a
fred
to
present
at
your
meetup,
you
can
just
think
of
us
and
we
can
help
and
yeah
it's
what
we
are
doing,
sometimes
in
the
chats,
so
that
we
many
of
us,
have
contacts
no
contributors
and,
if
you're
looking
for
something
we
can
help
each
other
so
that
you
have
speakers
and
have
more
presentations
happening.
A
Yeah,
for
that
maybe
actually
using
a
box
in
attrition
or
cdf
slug
is
the
best
option,
because
for
cdf
slack
there
are
actually
multiple
projects.
So
continuous
delivery
foundation
includes
six
projects
at
the
moment:
jenkins
shrinking
sex,
spinnaker,
tecton,
plus
artillios
and
the
screwdriver
io.
So
if.
A
A
A
One
question
I
wanted
to
discuss
is
actually
how
do
we
organize
next,
because
yeah,
there
is
a
lot
of
opportunities
for
many
things.
You
can
just
get
started
so,
for
example,
if
you
want
to
host
something,
we
could
do
it
together
right
away.
If
you
want
to
speak
about
jenkins,
if
you
want
to
just
contribute
to
one
of
the
pending
outreach
programs,
it's
something
we
can
do
easily.
I
So
yeah
hello,
so
from
my
part
I
can
say
I
can
help
in
the
organizing
events
and
other
things
with
the
community
regarding
organizing
the
events
and
things
I
have
to
learn
from
from
those
who
are
organizing
right
now
as
well,
but
I
can
try.
A
Many
of
us
are
quite
experienced
event
organizers,
so
we
can
just
share
experiences,
share
best
practices
between
each
other
yeah,
that's
great,
for
example,
how
we
could
do
that
we
could
just
have
most
regular
office
hours
like
this
one,
but
without
slides
and
focusing
on
particular
topics
as
one
option.
Another
option
is
that
we
do
everything
synchronously
through
chats
and
just
have
events,
for
example,
these
meetings
on
demand.
A
From
that
yeah
so,
for
me
tops
yeah
right
now
we
don't
have
any
meetups
announced.
I
have
a
few
online
tabs
in
the
pipeline,
so,
for
example,
about
the
phone
client
plugin
about
jenkins
kubernetes
separator,
hopefully
we'll
have
something
else.
We
have
other
regular
sessions.
So
I
hope
that
within
the
next
two
weeks
we
will
have
at
least
one
meetup.
D
So,
oh
like
do
you
like?
Do
you
think
it
would
be
okay
if,
for
instance,
in
this
in
this
meetup
that
I'm
about
to
propose
with
uli
hoffner,
the
the
format
is
going
to
be
sort
of
a
a
discussion
format
if
one
of
the
the
if
aravind
or
himadri
or
in
indubasi,
would
like
to
be
co-host
with
me,
I
would
happily
include
them
as
co-host
in
the
in
my
abstract
proposal
are.
Are
any
of
you
interested
in
that
kind
of
thing?
It
would
typically
be
towards
end
of
the
day
in
europe.
D
So,
roughly,
oh
dear,
what
time
does
that
make
utc?
Usually
it's
around
4
pm,
utc
right.
D
I
Sorry,
sorry
for
that,
but
I
just
want
to
know
that
what
will
be
the
timing
of
that
coasting
and
what
will
be
the
timing
of.
D
D
I
A
You
have
already
seen
a
doodle
poll.
I've
started
for
this
event
and
basically
this
is
our
approach,
so
the
lead
organizer
chooses
a
number
of
slots,
basically
based
on
the
availability,
and
then
we
just
run
a
call
and
when
we
see
the
best
match,
then
we
just
said
that.
Okay,
this
is
the
time,
so
we
don't
have
a
fixed
time
slots
for
events.
We
just
organized
at
hogs,
based
on
availability
of
participants.
A
A
Maybe
if
you
want
to
organize
something
for
the
united
states
or
australia,
it
will
be
completely
different
time
and
we
are
not
limited
for
that.
Our
platform
is
available,
24
7.,
so
it
really
depends
on
hosts
and
on
target
audience,
and
we
choose
a
timer
when
we
want
okay,
what
about
co-host
just
to
explain
when
you're
hosting
it
up?
A
Yeah,
so
we
quite
commonly
do
meetups
together
with
mark,
and
they
think
that
you
cannot
really
do
a
meetup
alone,
because
when
you
screen
share,
you
cannot
track
the
questions.
You
cannot
track
feedback,
for
example,
you
lose
the
network
etc,
and
the
common
practice
is
to
have
at
least
two
people.
A
So
one
is
doing
presentation
another
one
hosting
so
getting
introductions
taking
questions
just
moderating
the
things
and
monitoring
the
things,
for
example,
when
something
goes
wrong
to
fix
the
platform
etc,
and
also
what
hosts
do
the
announcement
events
this
the
last
minute,
for
example,
yeah?
We
are
ready
to
start
the
meetup
somebody
has
to
post
in
twitter
that
yeah
we
are
about
to
start
to
join
us
so
that
we
get
some
last
minute
participants
the
same.
For
example,
we
do
with
various
other
activities,
plus
as
a
event
co-host.
A
You
might
be
taking
some
notes,
so
some
events
taking
notes
like
these
ones
or
whatever
maybe
you're
doing
some
transcripts,
also
sometimes
just
taking
screenshots
photos
again,
for
example,
for
social
media,
etc,
and
so
on.
So
there
are
multiple
activities
and
when
we
have
three
people
participating,
so
one
speaker
and
two
hosts,
usually
it's
more
convenient
and
that's
why
markus
has
mentioned
co-host
so
that
this
work
can
be
paralyzed
and
again.
Something
happens.
For
example,
if
host
goes
offline
because
network
breaks
etc,
there
is
another
host.
B
Available
so
just
to
come
back
to
my
advice
during
this
call
like
if
you
organize
an
event,
it's
always
more
comfortable
to
have
someone
that
you
can
rely
on.
So
if
you
have
something
unexpected
that
happen,
that
person
will
take
care
of
that,
and
so
I
mean
and
and
if
it's
really
big,
even
sometimes
it's
even
better
to
have
a
2-3
person
who
can
help
you.
Sometimes
those
people
just
do
nothing,
because
everything
goes
well
but
yeah
most
of
the
time,
it's
always
useful
to
to
be
able
to
rely
on
other
people.
A
A
So
we
keep
the
most
of
relevant
questions
to
the
speaker
so
that
we
discuss
them
online
when
the
speaker
is
available.
So,
for
example,
the
host
ask
questions
in
the
middle
of
the
presentation,
if
presenters
prefer
so
or
after
the
presentation,
but
some
questions
they
might
be
not
relevant
to
the
presentation
or
they
might
be
trivial,
et
cetera,
and
the
hosts
can
just
answer
them
as
we
go
so
that
we
can
cover
these
questions
and
not
spend
too
much
time
on
corny.
A
Another
thing
which
is
popular
for
example,
for
contributor
summits,
is
just
hosting
breakout
rooms
because,
for
example,
when
we
do
contributor
summits
well
we
did
the
contributor
summit
online
only
once
in
february
the
day
we
had
breakout
rooms
and
in
breakout
rooms
again
we
need
moderators.
A
A
A
D
The
one
that
I
was
proposing
is
currently
tentatively
the
first
week
in
may,
or
the
second
week
in
may
so,
two
to
three
weeks
from
now,
we
le
we've
generally
seen
that
it's
best
for
us
to
have
at
least
two
weeks
notice
before
we
schedule
a
meet
up
to
get
best
attendance.
A
Online
events
now
one
week
is
also
okay,
but
it's
usually
one
to
two
weeks,
so
we
don't
are
not
split
up
like
this
a
few
months
at
once,
for
example,
in
switzerland,
it's
common
that
people
are
not
getting
it
up
this
half
a
year
advance.
I
still
cannot
understand
how
they
do
that
yeah.
A
A
So
I
guess
once
we
are
gonna,
announce
it
with
two
days
advance
and
still
got
quite
good
audience,
but
yeah
we
try
to
do
some
advance
because
yeah
many
people
do
their
own
planning
and
obviously
such
a
hog
session
sounds
very
convenient.
F
A
A
By
the
way,
do
you
speak
russian
yeah,
the
condition
so
yeah?
We
could
do
something
together
for
jenkins
strong,
so
we
have
five
russian
speaking
meetups
four
in
russia,
one
in
belarus.
We
also
had
online
meetups,
for
example,
for
oktoberfest,
and
if
you
want,
we
can
just
organize
something
together.
D
And
oh,
like
I
apologize,
I
have
to
drop
for
another
meeting.
Thank
you
very
much
for
organizing
this
varam
watch
for
my
request
to
the
advocacy
and
outreach
mailing
list,
I'll
likely
mention
your
name
as
a
possible
co-host
and
the
abstract
should
come
out
within
the
next
one
or
two
days.
Okay,.
A
So
yeah,
in
our
case,
we
try
to
do
the
most
chrome,
alien
keys,
because
they're
supposedly
most
informative
in
chat.
Now
we
slack
actually,
for
example,
at
our
work
yeah.
We
mostly
use
slack
instead
of
managing
keys,
but
in
the
community
we
still
prefer
melodies
and
then
again
just
go
to
advocacy
and
outreach.
A
A
A
We
had
an
engine
south
slts
release
and
they
did
a
presentation
with
all
the
clear
features
basically
mark
sent
a
proposal
to
the
mailing
list,
with
abstract,
etc
and
after
processing
it
was
published
on
our
website
and
then
we
hosted
it.
So
you
can
see
that
there
were
some
backing,
of
course,
during
the
review
and
yeah.
Finally,
it
was
hooked
on
our
online
github,
but
we
tried
to
do
some
reviews
synchronously
and
we
collaborate
a
lot,
for
example
through
google,
doc
or
other
patterns
only
we
are
currently
at
all
south.
A
How
can
be
forging
this
infrastructure?
You
can
also
switch
at
half
and
deform
it
up.
I
guess
because
it
would
be
convenient,
let's
see,
and
if
you
have
an
idea,
then
you
can
just
make
a
proposal
here
or.
C
A
So,
regarding
the
rest,
yeah
for
other
upcoming
events,
as
I
said,
we
have
three
other
meetups
in
the
pipeline,
so
basically
how
it
happens.
When
we
have
a
speaker,
we
try
to
organize
a
meter,
so
we
have
call
for
papers
a
kind
of
it
here
plus
mailing
list.
A
So
we
advise
potential
speakers
to
just
write
a
google
doc
and
send
a
message
to
the
million
list,
and
then
we
review
everything
in
the
mailing
list
and
once
we
are
ready
once
we
select
the
time
through
doodle,
we
just
organize
the
event
so
yeah
you
can
participate
in
this
process
right
now.
There
is
no
hidden
parts,
everything
happens
in
public
and
yeah.
You
can
just
contribute
if
you
have
an
idea
about
hosting
your
event,
etc.
You
can
do
the.
A
I
So
I
just
want
to
know
that
if
a
new
contributor
has
so
many
queries
or
anything,
so
what
will
be
the
best
communication
channel,
it's
irc
or
teacher,
or
what
will
be
the
best
communication
channel
to
discuss.
So
I
recommend.
I
And
and
these
type
of
online
online
discussions
and
other
things
will
continue
to
happen
for
helping
other
new
contributors
and
contributors
like
all
of
us,
we
attended
this
event,
so
this
type
of
online.
I
it's
my
suggestion
that
this
type
of
online
discussions
need
to
be
done
in
an
interval
so
that
the
new
contributors
can
get
a
claims
of
how
to
contribute
more
or
what
are
the
other
things
they
can
contribute.
I
think
that
will
be
helpful
for
every
one
of
us,
so
it's
just
a
suggestion
from
my
side,
yeah.
A
A
A
A
And
yeah
we
can
have
separate
sessions,
but
yeah,
I'm
not
sure.
What's
your
preference,
if
the
time
is
fine
for
you,
it's
yeah,
so
we
say
that
we
alternating
two
different
time
slots,
but
actually
we
don't
do
it
anymore.
A
So,
right
now
it
happens
at
4pm
utc
for
the
calculator
every
two
weeks,
yeah
we
can
find
the
other
sloths
again.
It
basically
depends
on
contributors.
I
Okay,
so
so
regarding
the
20
seconds
april,
so
it
will
again
you
share
the
time
slots
or
it
will
be
the
same
time
you
mean
for
this
meeting.
No
for
the
next
meeting.
A
So
advocacy
submitting
is
fixed,
so
you
can
go
to
the
events,
calendar
and
yeah.
The
next
meeting
is
happening
on
yeah,
so
it's
thursday
april
22nd
and
it's
4
pm
utc,
but
yeah
again.
If
time
is
not
comfortable,
we
can
find
a
separate
meeting
slot
or
we
can
probably
adjust
this
meeting
because
it's
not
like
this
meetings
are
fixed
completely.
You
just
agree
the
group
of
contributors,
how
you
want
to
do
them,
so
there
are
more
contributors
to
a
different
time.
We
can
adjust.
I
Meeting
it's
yeah,
it's
okay!
For
me,
it's
okay
for
myself
and
follow.
A
A
Okay,
let's
keep
this
time
attentively,
so
I
will
synch
up
with
separately
because
yeah,
if
we
organize
drinking
through
there
is
another
set
of
channels
yeah.
If
we
need
to
organize
something
specifically
for
event,
organizers,
again,
let's
discuss
together
in
the
chat.
So
we
can
recognize
these
meetings
at
hog
yeah.
Every
one
of
us
has
other
full-time
job,
but
yeah
we
still
can
find
the
time
or
agree.
E
I'm
good.
Thank
you.
Thank
you
for
this
session.
It's
it's
really
helpful,
cleared
up
lot
of
questions.
I
had.
