From YouTube: GSoC 2023 Office Hours - April 20, 2023
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Here
we
are
so
good
evening,
good
afternoon,
good
morning,
everybody
here
we're
at
the
gsoc
office
hour
or
today,
April
20th,
yeah,
April
20th.
A
So
we
are
currently
ending
the
proposal.
Grading
a
face
and
mukul
before
we
started
recording,
had
a
question
about
the
next
steps
in
the
process.
So.
Currently,
all
mentors
gave
a
grade
from
one
to
five
to
qualify
the
different
proposals,
five
being
yes,
we
absolutely
want
this
proposal
and
one
being
well.
Okay.
He
didn't
understand
the
topic
and
needs
more
work
to
get
this
proposal.
A
A
This
week
we
are
entering
the
phase
where
the
project
teams,
so
the
mentors
project
teams,
are
putting
their
heads
together
to
verify
that
the
statistics
are
in
tune
with
their
guts
feeling
and
to
see
if
there's
nothing
wrong
and
come
up
with
the
two
best
proposals
per
project.
A
The
result
of
that
will
be
that
for
Mid
of
next
week
the
Jenkins
gsoc
organization
will
come
up
with
the
shortlist
and
saying
these
are
the
proposals
that
we
would
like
to.
A
Mentor
through
this
c
c,
jock
G-Shock
I'm,
tired
g-soc
season,
meaning
that
we
have
a
strong
candidate,
a
strong
proposal
and
we
have
a
good
Mentor
team
so
that
oh,
the
stars
are
aligned
for
a
successful,
a
g-sock.
A
So
on
Tuesday,
that's
where
the
organ
means
and
the
lead
mentors
will
sit
together,
make
that
list.
It
will
be
posted
and
proposed
to
the
Google
Organization
and
we'll
say
we
will
be
able
to
Mentor
core
projects,
for
instance,
and
Google
will
come
back
and
say:
yes,
we
have
the
budget
to
support
these
four
projects
or
if
the
times
are
difficult,
they
will
say
no,
you
can
only
do
three
projects
and
this
will
be
the
order.
A
A
That
brings
us
to
they.
So
Google
has
one
week
to
consolidate
that
at
Google
level,
so
at
worldwide
level
and
see
if
they
have
enough
money
to
support
all
these
projects
and
then
on
May
4th,
if
I
remember
well
on
May
4th
at
6
p.m.
Utc.
A
A
little
note,
we
had
a
huge
amount
of
proposals,
some
very
good
proposal-
some
lousy
ones
too,
but
these
did
not
attend
the
the
the
office
hours
did
not
make
the
effort.
You
see
that
immediately
the
people
that
did
not
review
the
draft
or
so
they
don't,
they
don't
cut
it.
The
people
that
prepared
and
really
worked
on
it.
You
see
them
bubbling
up
very
clearly.
A
We
don't
have
solid
mentoring,
team
and-
and
this
is
as
I
explained-
is
something
we're
very
important
for
us-
there's
no
use
to
to
start
a
project
and
you're
full
of
enthusiasm
and
and
there's
nobody
there
or
available
to
help
you
go
successfully
through
it.
So
we
prefer
to
be
very
conservative.
A
A
But
this
doesn't
mean
that
the
proposals
that
will
not
be
selected
were
banned
or
that
you,
as
contributors
were
not
worthy
at
it's.
A
Only
we
have
to
choose
between
them
and
I
will
come
back
to
those
interested
and
they
were
not
selected
to
discuss
together
how
we,
what
we
can
learn
from
the
experience
and
how
we
can
move
on
continue
to
build
experience
not
only
for
Google
summer
of
code,
but
also
open
source
as
professionals,
so
I'm
open
to
the
discussion
and
and
give
advice
for
that
and
I
I
don't
want
to
leave
these
people.
They
will
not
be
selected
alone
in
the
cold
and
say
well.
A
Okay,
now
get
away,
no,
not
at
all.
So
we
we
traveled
this
road
road
together.
A
lot
of
you
already
for
several
months
and
I,
don't
want
to
just
say
goodbye
and
move
along.
So
no
no,
we
started
the
journey
and
we'll
continue,
maybe
with
less
time,
but
there
will
be
interesting
things.
So,
to
summarize,
this
selection
process
will
end
and
will
be
announced.
A
A
We
start
at
that
moment
the
what's
called
the
bonding
period.
So,
as
you
we
explained
and
you've
seen
in
documentation,
bonding
period
is
where
you
prepare
the
the
project
plan
and
there
I
will
be
following
every,
but
I
think
the
mentor
lead
mentors
have
enough
experience
for
that,
but
I'll
will,
as
an
org
will
make
sure
that
every
project,
every
member
of
the
team
will
clearly
know
how
to
work
What.
How
is
the
project
going
to
run
when
will
be
the
meetings?
A
This
will
last
for
have
my
papers
here
around
me,
so
it
will
be
for
for
four
weeks.
I
I
think
something
like
that,
and
every
project
will
decide
what
are
the
deliverables
of
that
period.
I
know
what
I
would
like
to
see
is
org
admin
and
then
starts
the
actual
coding,
that's
where
the
the
actual
Adventure
Starts.
A
So
there
has
been
a
long
explanation,
mukul
so
to
a
short
summary,
we're
still
busy
trading
and
ranking
all
the
proposals.
We
have
a
heap
of
them
and
not
enough
mentors.
The
final
results
will
be
announced.
May
4th
reminder
we're
going
to
have
a
special
g-soc
office
hour,
not
at
the
usual
Thursday.
A
We
moved
it
to
the
Friday
so
that
we
can
discuss
the
first
congratulate
the
people
that
have
been
selected
and
chat
with
the
people
that
were
not
selected
and
we
can
exchange
of
feelings
and
we
can
get
organized
for
the
both
to
two
groups:
how
we'll
move
forward,
and
so
there
will
be
a
track
for
the
people
that
go
on
with
gsoc
and
there
will
be
a
track
lighter,
but
it
will
be
a
track
for
the
people
that
want
to
continue
to
learn
bonding
period
for
the
people
selected
will
last
about
four
weeks
preparation
and
then
actual
work.
A
B
Go
ahead,
yes,
yes
and
I
want
to
ask
like
how
are
you
reading
these
proposal
like
yeah
each
organization
admin
is
like
evaluating
all
the
proposals
or
a
single
person
is
evaluating
like
a
few
group
of
proposals,
and
is
it
like?
How
is
it.
A
A
and
it
takes
time.
So
we
decided
that
the
mentors
need
at
least
to
Mentor
not
to
mentor
to
to
grade
the
proposal
or
their
group
where
their
volunteers
to
Mentor,
and
we
want
to
have
at
least
three
valid
grades
per
proposal.
So
that
means
that,
statistically,
we
have
something
representative,
and
this
works
now
a
lot
of
proposals.
We
we
have
four
or
even
five
I-
need
to
check
this
spreadsheet
four
to
five
evaluation.
A
So
we
we
did
that
with
a
very
how
you
say
that
with
a
lot
of
heart,
because
we
know
the
hard
work,
that's
behind
that
it's
not
an
easy
decision
to
make,
and
we
take
that
at
heart.
So
you
can.
A
Are
there
other
questions,
topics
to
discuss
or
or
I,
don't
know,
worries.
C
What
do
you
personally
think
of
the
API
tools
which
are
coming
up
like
that?
Typically
and
I'll
go
deep
with
you,
and
there
is
more.
There
is
also
autonomous
agents
like
it's
like
a
new
trend
right
now.
What
do
you
personally
think
of
all
these
in
iTunes.
C
That's
like
what
do
you
personally
think
of
all
the
AI
tools
which
are
right
now
coming
up
like
authenticity,
and
there
is
also
Auto
dpd,
which
is
kind
of
new,
and
there
is
I
I
recently
read
a
article
which
talks
about
autonomous
agents
which
can
literally
automate
all
the
tasks
which
is
being
done
in
the
industry
or
in
any
company,
and
less
people
can
just
work
on
focus
on
like
more
creative
work,
rather
than
doing
the
manual
work
which
has
been
done
by
people
daily.
So
it's
kind
of
a
trend
right
now.
A
I'll,
well
that's
a
good
question.
It
will
be
hard
to
keep
in
in
a
short,
a
short
timing
and
I
learned.
I
will
leave
other
people
answered.
A
I'm,
old
and
I'm
I'm
I
will
say
honestly
I'm
scared
of
these
Technologies
because
they
get
so
powerful
that
at
a
certain
moment
the
human
part
in
it
will
we
will
lose
control
on
them.
But
here,
as
I
said,
it's
because
I'm
old
I've,
already
seen
so
many
things
and
also
some
values
like
the
human
being,
is
very
important
to
me.
A
This
is
my
personal
feeling,
and-
and
so
don't
don't
stop
at
that,
so
we
we
need
to
to
be
careful
but
we're
going
into
a
subject
there
where,
where
okay,
but
it's
it's
a
good
question
and
you're
our
degeneration
where
you
need
to
think
about
that
and
then
I
always
say
we
as
developer,
have
a
responsibility
in
what
the
world
will
become
here.
I'll
stop
if
somebody
wants
to
add
something
on
the
subject:
he's
welcome.
C
I
think
reading
this
book
by
Max
steadmark,
it's
a
live
3.0.
He
talks
about
the
AGI
in
general
like
how
it
will
overcome
in
future,
and
it's
rapidly
increasing,
and
there
is
like
a
lot
of
AI
which
is
being
made,
so
he
actually
talks
about
the
four
scenarios
which
can
exist
the
aib
existing
with
the
humans.
C
At
the
same
time,
all
the
all
these
who
will
send
everything
so
they're
like
you,
can
have
maybe
the
government
rules
or
maybe
some
restrictions
of
doing
all
these
and
also
the
ADI
ADI,
is
taking
over
the
humans
like
humans
are
being
treated
like
a
zoo.
That's
what
his
opinion
was,
but
I
found
it
literally
like
pretty
funny
hello.
A
My
fears
is
that
these
Technologies
are
very
powerful
and
it
just
needs
a
couple
of
people
that
are
not
honest,
evil
or
plain
stupid
and
the
power,
the
influence
that
it
can
have
would
be
so
big
and
would
have
such
an
impact
that
I
I
say
it
is
not
the
form
to
say
that
this
is
one
of
the
reasons
why,
for
instance,
nuclear
nuclear
power
is
something
where
we
need
to
think
very
wisely:
How
We
Do
It,
because
the
where
the
powers
energy
harnessed
by
that
is
tremendous.
A
So
here
where
this
is
something
we
should
discuss
around
a
couple
of
beers
or
Ortiz
or
whatever,
and
but
it's
a
great
question
a
great
topic
to
to
discuss
and
thank
you
for
asking
that.
But
here
I
gave
my
shot.
So
if
somebody
else
wants
to
to
add,
we
have
five
more
minutes
together,
because
I
need
to
jump
on
another
call.
D
I,
don't
know
anything
new
to
add,
but
I
just
want
to
say:
I
I
completely
agree
with
John
Mark
I
think
you
know,
there's
we
all
have
responsibilities
and
we've
all
we're
all
given
the
tool
use.
It
wisely
use
it
for
the
good
of
of
humanity
and
110
agree
with
gun
mark
foreign.
B
Sometimes
like
what
you
can
say,
that's
right
and
recently
few
like
leaders,
has
like
made
a
decision
to
stop
training.
These
large
language
models
like
what
chat
Jeopardy
is
all
GPT
phone
is
so
in
future,
like
we
are
currently
stopping
training
of
GPT,
5.
B
and
so,
but
behind
the
scenes
there
may
be
a
case
like
few
people
are
trying
to
achieve
a
GPT,
5
or
trying
to
make
a
new
variant
of
GT5
and
which
could
be
dangerous
in
my
opinion,
like
they
can
possibly
like
read
destruction
of
humanity,
so
this
should
be
controlled
by
like
government
or
some
other
organization
like
how
they
should
approach
it.
This
power
is
like
views
so.
A
At
least
yeah
I
I
agree
with
you
at
least,
and
this
is
where
we
have
a
responsibility,
and
this
is
the
call
I
do
for
the
younger
generation
and
also
to
open
source.
Is
that
we
learn
that
we
think
about
that
that
we
we
try
building
thing
in
in
a
responsible
way
and
we're
we're
not
here
only
to
execute
the
orders
that
we're
giving
by
by
a
bus
or
in
a
corporation.
A
No,
we
have
as
we're
interested
in
open
source
and
Technology
at
large.
Otherwise
you
wouldn't
be
here.
We
we
have
this
mission
to
understand,
improve
ourselves.
Think.
A
And
make
all
these
things
evolve.
I
think
this
artificial
intelligence
will
bring
something
like
robots
in
in
and
things
like
that,
but
we
need
to
do
it
in
a
normal
pace
and
not
for
when
not
for
money,
but
the
year
I
love
open
source,
I'm,
biased,
so
here
I'm,
getting
into
discussions
where,
where
a
lot
of
new
ones
is,
is
a
very
good
topic
here,
so
I'm
I'm,
so
I'm
getting
ready
now,
so
we're
making
good
progress
and
I.
A
Thank
you
all
to
stay
tuned
to
stay
in
a
community
here
together.
Exchanging
these
ideas.
I
know
that
gsoc
is
a
very
good
channel
to
learn
and
improve
it's
not
the
only
one,
and
we
will
have
that
discussion
later
be
prepared
that
some
of
you
will
be
disappointed.
A
Just
remember
it's
not
you
as
a
person
not
at
all,
because
if
you
hear
that
means
you're
good
people,
so
but
it's
it's
somewhere
a
competition
but
weak
competition.
In
a
sense
we
have
limited
resources
for
that.
So
there
will
be
one
waiting
office
hour.
We
can
bring
other
interesting
topics
like
sonali
brought,
so
this
will
be
and
then
in
two
weeks
we'll
know
who
are
the
people
that
will
be
part
of
gsoc
2023
with
Jenkins
and
we'll
continue
in
the
meantime.
A
I
wish
you
all
a
nice
week,
nice
learning
and
enjoy
okay.
