Description
Jenkins platform special interest group Sep 12, 2019 including plugin install manager, docker multi-arch, Hacktoberfest, and Windows installer
A
A
Welcome
everyone
I'm
mark,
wait
it's
the
platforms.
This
is
a
platformer
special
interest
group
meeting.
It's
the
12th
of
September,
thanks
for
being
here.
Let's
look
over
the
agenda
I'm
going
to
share
my
screen
so
that
we
can
see
it
together,
and
here
is
what
we've
got
for
today.
I
will
talk
about
action
items
I've
got
a
brief
topic
on
the
plugin
installation
manager
tool
will
put
shift
Oleg's
question
about
Jake
asked
a
little
later
he's
going
to
be
late.
A
A
Of
that
and
then
I
think
it's
good
for
us
to
do
a
Windows,
installer
status
report.
I've
got
a
new
topic
to
add
related
to
hacked
over
fast
as
and
how
it
relates
the
platform
cig
and
then
we've
still
got.
We've
got
a
question
with
Oleg
with
regard
to
moving
the
configuration
is
code
plug-in
from
the
cloud
medium
special
interest
group
to
the
platform
special
interest
group,
any
other
items
that
need
to
be
added
to
the
agenda.
A
Okay,
I'll
take
silence
to
mean
oh,
let's
go
ahead,
then
so
open
action
items
I
continue
to
have
my
guilty:
one:
opening
the
Jenkins
and
hands
for
proposal
for
dr.
operating
system,
support
and
platform
selection
rules
it.
It
is
very
much
needed
I
apologize
that
it's
not
done
yet.
We
are
working
with
the
governance
board
to
tracy.
Miranda
has
started
the
process
of
getting
a
additional
people
added,
so
the
Jenkins
enhancement
proposals
can
be
approved
and
processed
through.
So
there
are
some
positive
steps
there,
but
I've
still
got
to
submit
the
JEP
itself.
A
B
Filed
a
ticket
with
the
CDF
on
the
things
on
github
for
this
trade,
updated
that
issue
recently
and
requested
some
more
information,
so
we're
just
still
kind
of
waiting
on
that
ticket
to
be
resolved.
So.
A
A
When
I
asked
Olivier
for
a
status
report,
I
failed
to
note
that
that
we've
already
got
a
link
to
the
release,
automation,
project
and
latest
status.
They
are
discussing
specific
details
around
release
out
of
the
Jenkins
release,
automation,
project,
good,
all
right
that
covers
all
the
action
items
that
I
had
recorded.
So
next
topic,
then,
was
the
plugin
installation
manager.
Natasha
had
created
this
as
part
of
google
Summer
of
Code
and
I'd
Alex
had
had
some
initial
experience
with
it.
B
And
she
was
trying
I
know
she
was
trying
to
get
a
1.0
release
out,
but
probably
with
the
start
of
the
semester,
it
was
just
a
little
bit
much
to
do
it
at
this
point,
so
she
may
be
still
planning
to
do.
It
well
point
out
with
some
changes
so.
A
Well
and
I
saw
that
the
tip
of
her
master
branch
has
some
changes
on
it.
That
I
think
I'll
I'll
help
her
evaluate
because
I
think
I've
got
some
changes.
I
may
need,
and
one
more
tester
is
a
good
thing
before
she
goes
to
one.
So
it's
that's,
I'm
I
was
really
encouraged
by
it.
It
seemed
oh,
hey
it's
behaving
well
and
it
takes
the
right
arguments
and
nicely.
B
Arch,
so
one
of
the
kind
of
action
items
from
the
previous
meeting
was
to
send
out
an
email
on
the
mailing
list.
I
did
that
requesting
people
to
to
use
the
different
architectures
if
they,
if
they
had
them,
I'd,
never
yeah
I,
don't
really
received
any
feedback.
Yet
we
wanted
to
get
that
feedback
before
we
merged
into
the
main
Jenkins
organization
on
docker
hub,
so
we're
still
kind
of
waiting
for
some
feedback.
If
there
any
issues-
and
things
like
that.
A
So
now
and
the
duck
or
multi
arch,
this
is
one
where,
in
order
to
use
it,
I
would
really
need
to
have
one
of
those
alternate
architectures
and
so
by
alternate
architectures,
it's
series
390,
it's
PowerPC
and
helped
me
out
what
was
the
other
arm
64
and
armed
32,
but
but
in
the
case
of
armed
64
and
armed
32,
it's
not
my
raspberry
pi
running
linux,
for
instance,
where
job
already
works
right.
It's
something
different!
In
that
case,
no.
B
B
I
and
this
kind
of
the
military
stuff
was
kind
of
originally
kicked
off
by
a
kind
of
like
requests
from
Durga,
D'ass
I
believe
there's
a
long
period
of
time
where
it
didn't
get.
There
are
some
issues
in
releasing
the
tag
so
I
don't
know
how
much
he
has
been
able
to
use
it
or
if
it
kind
of
fell
off
the
his
kind
of
roadmap,
because
it
took
so
long
to
get
that
way.
So
I
haven't
really
heard.
B
A
B
A
B
Not
today,
it's
basically
been
things
that
blow
filed
against
the
current
installer,
just
some
issues,
and
so
I've
tried
to
kind
of
pull
in
fixes
for
those
into
the
new
installer,
so
that
that's
kind
of
what
that
was.
It
just
provides
some
feedback
about
some
things
that
people
were
concerned
about,
filed
a
security
context
for
the
current
Staller,
and
so
I've
been
trying
to
make
that
those
items
are
addressed
in
the
new
installer.
Oh.
A
B
The
master
I
you
kind
of
I,
put
it
on
the
sidelines.
I
closed
the
PR,
just
because
with
docker
you
would
probably
be
running
your
master
on
Linux
just
and
there
really
isn't
a
reason
to
have
a
docker
windows.
Image
looks
like
there
wasn't
really
a
lot
of,
and
no
one
was
really
interested
in
that,
as
so
I
just
kind
of
closed
that
PR
and
put
it
on
the
sidelines.
A
A
We're
going
to
do
some
promotional
events
in
various
places,
I'm
considering
one
in
Colorado,
for
instance,
and
the
idea
is
to
help
people
who
are
novices
to
submit
their
first
full
requests
and
if
they
submit
I,
think
the
rules
if
they
are,
if
they
submit,
for
they
get
the
this
special
promotional
t-shirt
and
so
looking
forward
to
that
event,
you
might
be
mindful
of
it
in
your
area,
see
if
there
are
ways
that
you,
if
you've
got
a
jenkins
area
meet
up,
you
could
consider
promoting
it.
There
I
think
what
I'm
going
to
try.
A
Theme-Wise
here
is
get
some
platform
themed
things
like
hey
bring
in
some
raspberry
pies
or
bring
in
some
different
operating
systems,
may
be
a
FreeBSD
or
an
open
BSD
and
invite
people
to
help
out
the
other
need
that
we
have
is.
We
need
people
to
go
through
the
JIRA
issues
that
are
related
to
platform
or
otherwise,
and
tag
them
with
or
label
them
with
the
newbie
friendly
label,
and
that's
the
one
we'll
use
used
for
Oktoberfest
issues
and
other
to
be
friendly
themes.
A
C
Okay,
so
are
there
other
Jenkins
area,
meetups
anywhere?
No.
D
A
C
D
A
Haven't
seen
meetings
of
the
cloud
native
special
interest
group
recently
and
one
of
the
one
of
the
reasons
why
this
proposed
move
for
the
configuration
is
code
efforts
was
from
cloud
native
special
interest
group
to
the
platform
special
interest
group
I'm,
not
sure
that
the
organizers
of
the
cloud
native
special
interest
group
are
are
currently
actively
doing.
Meetings.
D
A
D
D
A
Sense,
like
thanks
very
much
thanks
a
lot
all
right,
I
think
we'll
call
or
call
this
a
meeting
for
today.
I'll
stop
the
recording
and
we'll
all
post
a
recording,
a
copy
of
the
recording
to
the
platform
special
interest
group
playlist
on
the
Jenkins
YouTube
channel.
Thanks
everybody
for
being
here
much
appreciated
and.
