conference
last
month.
It
is

conference

we
look

do
to
make
the
conferences
better
each
year,
which
I
think
we
have
been
doing
and
thanks
to
everybody
who
participated
in
the
conference,
everybody's
participation
helps
it
to
be
a
better
experience.

been
taking

of

post-operative

really
good
experience.

just

of
anything
you

biggest
time
commitment
I
think,
is
the
conference
and
any
you
know
things
that
come
up
as
far
as
the
bylaws
and
all
that
kind
of
stuff
kind
of
talk
to
you

call
meetings

to
that,
rarely
rarely
happens,
just
kind
of
being
the
representation
of
koha
u.s

is
a
former
president
as
well
just
looking
over
what
we
have
here.

don't
know

Being
the
vice
president
and
then
the
president
makes
it
much
easier
because,
like
you
kind
of
get
into
the
swing
of
it,
maybe
do
one
or
two
practice.
You

running
the
meetings
and
then
it's
mostly
just
making
sure

that
everything's
functioning
smoothly.
It's
not
that
you
know
it's
work,
but
it's
not
like
super
difficult.
Anyone
can
do
it
and
then
you're
past
president
for
a
year,
which
means
you
show
up
to
meetings
and
they
call
you
out
and
then
you're
no
longer
past
president,
but
we
might
still
be
like
george.

that's
why
I
turned
my

I'm
in
the
middle
of
I've
got
a
deadline
this
afternoon,
so
I'm
kind
of
keeping
a
low-key
appearance.

I
would
say
that
the
president,
one
of

nice
things
about
being
past
president,
is
that
the
reason
you're
past
president
is
so
that
nobody
can
elect
you
to
something
else
for
a
year
after
you
finish
being
the
president.

active

try
to

kind
of
decide.

is
what
I
think
we
should
be
focused
on
and
you
kind
of
set
the
tone
for
what

the
whole
organization
is
going

do,

that's
kind
of
an
important
role
so
mostly
what
you're
doing,
though,
is
you're
running
meetings,
you're,
making
sure
there's
an
agenda
for
the
meetings
you're
or
at
the
very
least
you're
asking
the
secretary.

I've
been
the
secretary
for
the
past
four
ish
years,
plus
some
before
we
had
a
board.
I
did
a
little
bit
of
secretary
stuff,
then
the
main
role
of
the
secretary
is
record-keeping,
so
I
managed
the
I
take
minutes
at
all
the
meetings
and
post
those
up
in
our
google
drive
and
then
I
manage
the
recordings
so
for
all
of
all
the
sigs
and
stuff,
and
then
all
of
these
meetings
I'll
take
the
recordings
out
of
zoom
and
put
them
up
on
youtube.

So
that's
that's
the
primary
duty
and
then
also
the
agenda.
I'm
I
create
the
agenda,
make
sure
and
notify
people
of
upcoming
meetings.
I
usually
send
out
two
emails
a
month,
so
the
first
one
is
just
all
the
events
that
we
have
on
the
schedule
and
then
the
second
is
a
reminder
about
the
general
meeting
so
that
at
its
core.
That's
that's
what
I
do.

I
do
a
lot
more
than
that,
but
the
the
secretary,
if
you're,
applying
for
that
position,
that's
really
all
that
you
have
to
worry
about
starting
off
and
me
being
in
it.
So
long.
I've
just
picked
up
more
and
more
stuff
over
time,
so,
but
I
think
I've
got
things
fairly
well
organized,
so
it's
not
a
cumbersome
process.

We
manage
everything
in
google
drive
so
and
there's
so
when
you
put
the
minutes
in
the
google
drive,
they
just
show
up
on
the
website,
so
you
don't
even
have
to
add
the
edit
the
website.
If
that's
not
your
thing
as
long
as
you
can
manage
a
google
document,
you
can
be
a
secretary
and
I'm
happy
to
help.
Teach
I
will
also
say
being
on
the
board,
is
a
good
way
to
expand
your
skills
and
get
more
comfortable
in
front
of
zoom
like
we
are
right
now.

started,

wouldn't

the

first
one
that
we

conference
committee,
which

one
I'm
chair

I
mentioned
earlier,
we
had
our
conference
in
mckinney
last
month
and
it
was
very
successful.
I
think
I
got.
I
heard
lots
of
good
feedback,
but
if
you
have
ideas
about
how
to
improve
our
conference,
please
complete
the
conference
survey
and
we
will
read
all
of
them
and
see
what.

should
have
gotten
a
reminder
about
the
survey
last
week,
everybody
that
hadn't
already
filled
it
out.
Currently
we
have
54
responses
and
I
was
planning
on
sending.

up

reminder,

days
after
the
initial
email-
and
I
will
send
another
one
out
tonight
and
I've
got
the
survey
monkey

to
close
friday.

what
that
entails
is
we
have
been
all
of
our
conferences
have
been
sponsored
by
a
library
and
we
will
go
to
that
location
and
have
the
conference
so
the
membership
libraries
present
proposals
for
you
know,
come
visit
us
in
wherever

you
know,
supplies
information
about
their
facility,
and
you
know
the
the
community.
You
know
things
to
do.
If
you
wanted
to
stay,
you
know
for
the
weekend,
after
or
whatever,
and
then
all
of
those
are
looked
at
by
the
conference
committee.

sure
that
you
know
there's
enough
information
there
to
make
a
decision
and,
and
then
the
membership
then
will
vote
from
of
the
proposals
that
get
submitted.
We
will
vote
on
where
people
want
to
go
for
the
next
committee
or
for

next
conference,

kind
of
how
the
the
process
works.

you
can
submit
your
proposal.
We've
we've
had
lots
of
stuff
on
the
west
coast.

we're
meeting

sort

educational
event

giving

organizing
the
conference
materials
into
their
right
spaces

things

divided

things
about
customization,

christopher

that
sort
of
thing
and
there
oh
we're
still
talking

mentorship

we
can
make
that
better

think
we
need
to
talk
about
slack

more
because
I,
during
the
conference
there
was
interest
in
from
participants
and
getting
into
our
slack
channel.

look
at
how
that
looks
whether
it's
membership
block

sort
of
thing.

of
conversations
we're

also
creating
always
creating
new
materials,
educational
materials,
reference
guides
and

strong.

which
we
need
a
committee

This
is
yet
another
opportunity
to
get
involved
in

koha
us
helping
to
figure
out
what
kinds
of
fundraising
activities

funds

that
we
can
pay
for
developments
to
make
gohan
better
for
all
of
us.

it's
a

very
good
role.

You
see
the
first
of
the
conference
expenses
here
and
you'll
also
note
the
beginnings
of
conference
income
for
august
in
terms
of
september.
Most
of
the
income
is
from
the
conference.
Similarly,
most
of
the
expenses
are
from
the
conference
as
well,
leaving
us
with
just
just
shy
of
ten
thousand
dollars
in
our
bank
account
as
of
the
end
of
september.

The
paypal
balance
you
see
is
again
mostly,
but
not
exclusively,
income
related
to
the
conference,
and
you
know
conference
conference
conference.
It
was
conference
month.
It
represents
the
second
busiest
time
of
the
year
for
me
even
migrating
from
treasurer
to
financial
manager,
because
this
is
when
all
the
income
comes
in.
This
is
when
we
spend
money
more
so
than
any
other
time
of
the
year.

in
that
case,
it
actually
is
the
busiest
because
with
membership,
it's
all
just
money
coming
in
there's
very
little
money
going
out
here,
we've
got
money
flowing
in
in
both
directions,
I'm
working
on
putting
together
a
final
accounting
of
the
conference.
The
estimate
here
was
350,
as
noted
in
the
report.
I
actually
think
it
might
be
closer
to
700
when
I
was
putting
the
numbers
together
really
quickly.
I
thought
I
had
accounted
for
all
of
the
conference
income.
I
hadn't
because
I
had
not
yet
deposited
the
check.

Mckinney
gave
me
for
their
attendance,
which
is
about
300,
so
the
amount
we
see
here,
I'm
hoping
will
actually
go
up,
but
we'll
know
more
after
the
final
accounting
is
completed,
and
I
won't
be
completing
that
final
accounting
until
after
we
have
the
conference
committee
meeting
after
this
one,
this
is
going
to
be
the
slow
time
of
the
year
now
or
let
me
rephrase
that
a
slow
six
weeks
once
the
conference
activity
is
wrapped
up.
Really
things
start
to
shift
over
towards
getting
membership
ready
for
the
next
calendar
year.

always
looking

people

volunteer,

and
candace
have
been
great
on
the
finance
committee,
but
we
could
always
use
at
least
one
more
person.

book

any

us
have
actually
read
the
assigned
book,
usually
we
just
talk
about
whatever
we're
reading.

we've
read
the
assigned
book,
usually
someone's
like
25
of
the
way
through
it.
So
we
try
not
to
spoil
it
for
them
and
do
crafting
I'm
not
sure
if
we're
meeting
this
month,
because
at
the
last
meeting
I'm
traveling
the
day
after
someone
else
is
going
to
be
traveling,
it's
like
right
before
halloween.

has

problems.

that's
getting
patched

the
next
security
upgrade.

think,

everyone

upgrades,

you're

elasticsearch,
that
should
be
fine.

to
use
them
so,
but
they're
they're
there
in
the
patron
details,
if
you've
got
a
file
attached
to
a
patron,
that
will
now
show
up
on
the
details
screen.
So
you
will
know,
there's
an
actual
file
attached
and
the
reason
we're
excited
about
that
one
is.

have
a
library
of
things,
collection
and
the
patrons
have
to
sign
a
waiver,
and
we
keep
that
waiver
on
file
so
now,
instead
of
keeping
that
somewhere
else,
we
can
actually
upload
it
to
the
patron
record
and
actually
see
that
it's
connected.
So
we're
excited
about
that
and
then
we
have
a
seed
library
coming.
So
we're
going
to
be
interested
to
look
at
the
one.
That's
like
it
checks
it
out
and
checks
it
right
back
in.
I
don't
remember
what
that
functionality
is,
but
we
were
thinking
that'll
help
us
with
our
seed
library.

wanted

say
that
the
holds
history
in
the
opec
is
something
that
nichols
paid
for,
and
it's
not
a
hundred
percent
complete.
Yet
it's
also
in
a
future
upgrade
will
be
added
the
ability
to
make
that
history
private,
so
that
the
patron
can
do
exactly
what
they
can
with
their
reading
history,
where
they
can
say,
never
keep
it
keep
it
for
the
default
amount
of
time,
keep
it
forever
or
delete
it
immediately.
So
that's
part
of
that
part
of
that
development,
and
it's
just
not
finished
yet
so
good.

my
biggest
concern,
was
patreon's
ability
to
opt
out
of
that
yeah
and
it's
it's
in
the
contract
I
have
for
the
development
it's
just.
I
haven't
had
a
chance
to
talk
to
bywater
about
it,
because
when
I
saw
that
it
wasn't
complete,
I
was
I
had
to
go
back
and
check
and
make
sure
that
that
was
part
of
the
contract,
and
it
is
so
it
should
be
coming
in
the
future.

not
getting
set
for
the
whole
pickup
and
then
when
they
went
to
look
at
their
holds,
none
of
them
would
display
if
there
was
even
one
that
didn't
have
so
so
we
bywater
gave
us
wrote
a
report,
for

showing

everything

didn't
have
a
whole
pickup
location
and
then
they
went
in
and
set
them
and
then
magically
they
displayed.
But
I'm
not
sure
how,
where
they're
at
on
fixing
the
original
bug.

holds
on
for
themselves.

staff
would
put
a
hole
on
so
this
only
happens
on
the
staff
side
of
the

coha.

nothing

you
go
back

bywater
gave
us
the

we

we

out,

was
going
on,
we
had
like

holds
that
didn't,
have
a
pickup
location
and
all
of
them
were
staff,
and
then
we
have
aspen.

not
in

quahog
or
I'm
not
sure.

that's
true

but

say
that
if
we
could
see
them
in
aspen

they
would
go
to
check
out
an
item
that
they
knew
they
had
on
hold
and
they
you
know,
for
whatever
reason
they
got.

you

digest
buttons
are,
you
can
turn
them
on
and
off
it
does
nothing,
it
won't
save
them
it,
but
you
know
you
can
turn
them

off
gleefully,

turn
them
on
and
off,
if
you're
in
edit
mode.
So
that's
just
something
that
came
to
the
you
know.

Most
recently,
I've
been
working
with
a
librarian
in
romania
who
actually
followed
the
instructions
now
he's
eagerly
awaiting
part
two,
where
I
take
it
from
the
first
login
setting
up
all
the
different
parts
of
the
library,
and
I
think,
the
together,
the
the
entire
koa
setup
process
for
a
really
simple
library
takes
about
an
hour
which
I
think
could
be
a
useful
thing
for
us
to
have.

just
kidding
up
on
the

yeah.

agree
with
most
of
them.
