From YouTube: Join the Club - Jason Robb
A
My
name
is
jason,
rob
you've,
probably
seen
me
throughout
the
conference.
My
official
title
is
the
seek
find
coordinator
at
the
southeast
kansas
library
system,
I'm
currently
sitting
in
gas
kansas,
which
is
where
I
live
a
couple
miles
away
from
iowa
kansas,
where
I
work
and
where
the
southeast
kansas
library
system
is
headquartered.
A
And
today
I
want
to
talk
to
you
about
joining
the
club
and
using
clubholds
in
quahog
that
so.
A
The
next
slide,
so
just
a
little
bit
of
background
information
about
my
organization
about
our
consortium.
Our
consortium
is
called,
so
you
can
find
that's
why
I'm
the
second
fine
coordinator-
and
we
are
currently
sitting
at
48
libraries,
southeast
kansas
libraries
sharing
one
single
cohan
co-installation.
A
We
started
out
in
2008
on
quahog
with,
I
want
to
say
six
or
eight
libraries
and
we've
grown
to
to
48
today
and
we're
running
out
we're
running
out
of
libraries
to
automate
so
which
is
a
good
problem
to
have
we.
We
do
have
a
another
consortium
in
the
area
that
has
a
few
libraries
and
some
of
them
probably
won't
ever
come
over,
but
some
may
and
we
are
in
discussions
about
bringing
up
a
new
library
totally
from
the
ground
up.
So
that's
exciting
as
well.
A
So
we
we
do,
have
some
room
for
expansion,
but
we're
getting
pretty
close
to
as
big
as
we
can
get
for
our
region,
and
our
region
is
a
15
county
area
in
southeast
kansas
and
the
southeast
kansas
library
system.
Kansas
has
regional
systems
which
encompass
different
areas.
So
you
guys
know
george
he's
in
the
northeast
region.
I'm
I'm
in
the
southeast
so
and
we've
got
three
consortia.
Four
four
consortia
in
kansas.
Now
so
there's
one
in
central
ours
in
southeast
georgia
northeast
and
then
the
canned
share
consortium.
B
A
In
south
central,
so
all
of
us
are
using
koha
in
our
own
areas,
so
seek
find
is
all
about
access.
It's
all
about
sharing.
We
want
to
make
sure
that
our
littlest
libraries
have
access
to
stuff
from
our
biggest
libraries
and
that's
part
of
why
we
sponsored
this
development
for
clubholds
on
the
slides.
I've
got
links
to
the
clubhole
development
bug
and
there's
some
information
there
that
you
can
read
about
kind
of
how
it
came
to
be,
and
then
there
was
a
follow-up
bug,
because
we
are
a
consortium.
A
There
were
some
things
that
didn't
work
quite
as
well
as
we'd
like
so
we
did
have
to
do
a
little
bit
of
additional
development
to
get
it
working
how
we
like,
but
I
will
say,
I'm
talking
about
consortia.
A
This
is
my
my
plug
for
everyone
to
look
at
clubholds
and
find
ways
for
you
to
use
them
in
your
situation.
We
have
a
very
specialized
situation
with
clubholds
but
they're
a
powerful
tool
that
any
library
of
any
size
can
use
if
you're
a.
B
A
Branch,
if
you're
a
multi-branch,
that's
it's
a
tool
that
can
help
you
better
workflow
and
be
more
efficient,
so
moving
on.
So
I
want
to
talk
about
our
special
use
case
to
begin
with,
just
because
that's
kind
of
how
this
all
came
to
be
so.
The
problem
we
have
was
we'd
offered
this
service
here
locally
at
my
public
library,
which
is
attached
to
the
system
office,
where
patrons
could
fill
out
a
list
of
check
boxes,
basically
of
authors,
they
wanted
to
get
new
titles
from
any
time.
James
parish
released
a
new
title.
A
They
wanted
that
book,
so
the
process
for
years
had
been
to
go
through
anytime,
james
patterson
added
a
book
and
we
got
it.
We
would
send
that
information
up
to
the
front
desk
and
they
would
go
through
and
place
holds
individually
and
that
just
got
bigger
and
bigger.
The
list
got
bigger
and
bigger
it
more
and
more
time
consuming.
A
So
we
wanted
a
way
to
streamline
that
process,
make
it
easier
take
away
the
staff
time.
So
I
do
have
an
example
here
of
what
that
paper
form
looked
like
to
give
you
kind
of
an
idea.
We
called
it
the
automatic
reserve
service,
there
is
nothing
automatic
about
it,
it
was
people
sitting
behind
a
curtain
pulling
strings
placing
holds,
and
this
wasn't
just
for
our
libraries,
like
I
said
the
this
sheet
originated
from
our
library
but
other
libraries
on
our
distortion.
A
They
would
have
lists
scribbled
on
their
desk,
or
sometimes
they
they're
small
enough
that
they
know
exactly
which
patrons
want
which
books
when
something
comes
in
so
they'll
place
it
and
we
have
over
the
years
upgraded
to
spreadsheets
like
it
wasn't
always.
We
we
haven't
been
using
just
the
the
paper
lists
for
quite
a
while,
but
it
was
kind
of
scattered,
it's
all
external
to
koha.
So
we
wanted
to
bring
that
information
into
koha
and
find
ways
to
create
efficiencies.
A
We
can
talk
about
some
more,
but
clubs
was
already
a
feature
that
was
in
koha
before
we
developed
the
club
clubhold
functionality
and
it
took
us
quite
a
while
to
get
this
development
through
and
it
finally
kind
of
fell
into
place
after
clubs
were
added
to
cohos,
because
we
could
then
use
that
to
kind
of
piggyback
the
functionality
that
we
needed
on
onto
something
that
was
there
so
right
now
the
you
can
see.
This
is
what
my
system
looks
like.
So
the
screenshot
you're,
seeing
right
now
is
a
patrons
account.
A
A
This
is
going
to
look
a
little
different
if
you
go
in
and
do
it
on
your
system
right
now,
because
I've
made
some
tweaks
and
I've
got
some
I'll
talk
about
that
later
after
the
upgrade.
This
should
look
more
similar
to
how
yours
will
look,
because
we
put
in
some
bugs
to
try
and
improve
this
a
little
bit
so
right
now
we
have
307
different
author
clubs
and
we've
divided
things
out
by
format.
A
So
we've
we
started
with
regular
print
because
we
thought
that
would
be
the
easiest,
that's
where
the
most
existing
lists
were,
and
then
we
expanded
it
to
large
print
and
audiobook
uptake
hasn't
been
extremely
fast
by
my
librarians
or
my
patrons,
but
we
do
see
enrollments
getting
added
every
day.
I
ran
the
report
last
night
to
see
exactly
how
many
we
had
and
I
had
three
new
enrollments.
So
it's
working
it's
it's
a
slow
growth.
A
I've
had
to
kind
of
convince
my
librarians,
it's
a
good
thing
and
I
think,
as
we
move
forward,
and
we
start
reporting
on
things
and
seeing
just
exactly
how
impactful
it
is
we'll
probably
get
more
buy-in.
In
addition
to
that,
we
did
start
off
not
having
patron
initiated.
Enrollment
turned
on
so
patrons,
couldn't
enroll
themselves.
The
librarians
had
to
do
it.
Since
then.
A
We've
turned
that
on
and
we've
seen
an
uptick
from
more
of
the
smaller
libraries
that,
where
the
patrons
might
not
be
getting
the
direct
advice
from
their
librarian
to
do
things
like
this,
but
they'll
log
into
their
account
on
the
opec,
because
they're
more
tech
savvy
see
that
that
tab
and
start
clicking
around
okay.
So
what
is
a
club?
So,
at
its
base
level,
a
club
is
just
a
list
of
patrons.
It
is
a
list
of
patrons
with
benefits,
though
so
clubs
in
koha
are
there
to
keep
track
of
patrons
via
enrollment.
A
So
there's
a
lot
of
connected
parts
with
it,
but
basically
the
it's
a
list
that
either
you
as
the
librarian
can
add
people
to
and
take
people
away
from
and
or
they
can.
If
you
enable.
A
Talk
about
that
a
little
later,
it
also
keeps
track
of
when
former
enrollments,
which
is
something
that
isn't
really
hand
handled.
That
way.
Other
places
can
call
like,
if
you
add
somebody
to
a
patron
list
and
then
take
them
out,
there's
no
way
to
tell
that
they
were
in
that
list.
Before
with
enroll
clubs,
you
can
run
reports
on
that.
You
can
see
cancelled
enrollments,
so
you
you
can
go
back
and
see
who
was
in
in
the
club
formerly
and
then
what
our
club
holds
at
the
base
level
for
for
club
holds.
A
That's
going
to
be
for
us,
it's
a
one.
Click
to
place.
Many
holds
it's
a
one-to-many
relationship.
That
was
the
core
functionality.
We
were
looking
for
the
there's
additional
functionality
that
we
built
in
with
randomization,
and
that
has
to
do
with
making
things
fair.
So
we
are
a
consortium
and
we
do
at
the
system
office.
We
pump
in
some
extra
copies
of
that.
Those
popular
titles
so
like
whenever
a
new
paid
patterson
comes
out,
we'll
buy
12
copies
and
then
the
libraries
will
buy.
A
However
many
copies
they
each
one
will
probably
buy
one
or
two
copies
to
fill
the
need
locally,
but
before
when
people
were
putting
those
holds
on
one
at
a
time,
our
copies
would
all
go
to
whoever
got
there
first.
So
if
all
the
coffeeville
patrons
got
put
on
first,
then
our
copies
were
all
going
out
to
coffeyville
and
then
they
wouldn't
make
it
to
chinoo
until
the
coffeeville
list
was
through.
A
So
again,
just
touching
on
the
versatility,
so
our
use
case
is
favorite
author
clubs
and
we
are
doing
that
consortium-wide.
So
we'll
have
a
club
where
any
patron
from
any
library
in
the
consortium
can
be
part
of
that
club
and
whenever
any
library
adds
that
book
we're
placing
the
hold
and
they're
getting
their
whole
put
on.
So
it's
taking
a
lot
of
work
away
from
the
librarians
on
the
ground
and
and
get
opening
things
up
a
little
more
other
potential
use
cases
for
clubs
and
club
folds.
Obviously
book
discussion.
A
A
If
there's
enough
copies
on
the
record
to
support
that
other
ideas
that
have
come
up,
favorite
series,
clubs,
favorite
genre
clubs,
favorite
actors-
you
could
even
do
this
with
dvds
if
you
wanted
basically
anything
where
you're
finding
that
you're
putting
a
list
of
multiple
patrons
on
something
in
a
batch.
So
the
idea
is
to
make
that
a
one-click
transaction
instead
of
a
multiple
putting
it
on
individually,
and
I
did
make
a
note
here
that
this
can
be
limited
by
branch.
A
So,
even
if
you're
in
a
consortium,
you
don't
have
to
use
it
the
way
we're
using
it,
which
is
a
little
chaotic,
and
we
can
talk
about
some
of
the
challenges
that
we've
run
into.
But
if
you
just
want
to
have
each
individual
library
branch
within
your
consortium
or
group
or
district
or
whatever
have
their
own
set
of
clubs,
that's
doable
too.
A
Okay,
so
why
bother-
and
I've
touched
on
this
a
little
bit
as
well,
so,
first
of
all,
it's
better
service,
your
your
patrons
aren't,
keep
having
to
keep
track
when
the
latest
and
greatest
titles
coming
out
all
they're
saying
is.
I
love
that
author
give
me
that
author,
when
he
writes
something
new
and
that's
it.
It's
a
done.
Transaction
you've
enrolled
them
in
the
club
anytime.
Something
comes
out.
A
You're
you're,
putting
the
hold
on
and
they're
gonna
get
a
call,
it's
less
staff
time
for
sure,
so
you're
not
putting
90
holds
on
on
that
new
james
patterson
at
each.
Each
of
my
big
libraries
would
be
doing
that
now.
We're
we'll
we'll
see
it
come
in
we'll
put
the
hold,
and
it's
just
done
it's
it's
minutes.
Instead
of
hours,
sort
of
thing,
it's
way
more
efficient,
patron
empowerment.
Again,
it's
an
option
to
turn
on
public
enrollment,
but
it
does
give
control
over
control
back
over
to
the
patrons.
A
So
they
can,
they
can
do
it
themselves.
They
can
see
it
themselves.
They
can
know
what
they're
enrolled
in
what
they
can
be
enrolled
in.
Okay,
I
see
in
chat
rebecca,
is
asking:
how
does
it
handle
what
the
users
pick
up
branches,
so
that
was
the
big
bug
we
ran
into
with
with
it.
Originally,
it
was
defaulting
to
the
pickup
branch
of
who
was
placing
the
hold
which
didn't
work
for
us
at
all
because,
like
if
I
place
it
in
iowa,
I
didn't
want
all
those
copies
coming
to
me
at
the
headquarters.
A
So
now
it
defaults
to
the
patrons
home
branch
so
yeah,
so
the
big
list
is
gonna,
pick
out
the
home
branch
of
the
library
and
headed
that
way.
Now,
if
the
patron,
we
don't
have
a
lot
of
bouncing
around
like
we
do
have
some
towns
that
are
sort
of
close
to
each
other,
but
we're
pretty
spread
out
geographically.
So
if,
if
a
patron
gets
the
club
hold
and
they
want
to
pick
it
up
at
another
location,
they
have
to
catch
that
and
change
the
pickup
location
or
have
it
changed.
A
That's
my
cursor
a
couple
more
benefits
for
clubholds,
so
collection
development.
This
is
one
that
that
was
kind
of
a
secondary
thing
that
came
out
of
it,
but
as
we've
enabled
public
enrollment
we're
seeing
what
they
want,
what
what
we
need
to
buy
more
of
what
patrons
at
what
locations
are
are
saying.
I
want
this
author
or
I
want
large
print
or
I
want
audio
books.
A
A
Since
all
that
data
is
stored
in
cohort
now,
we
can
run
reports
on
it,
which
is
great,
and
then
I
already
talked
about
the
fair
distribution
this.
This
may
be
more
specific
to
how
we
do
things
just
like.
A
I
said
we
pump
in
extra
books
that
we
that
are
kind
of
library
neutral,
and
we
want
those
to
get
to
everybody
in
a
fair
way
and
that's
why
we
push
for
randomization
it
also
at
a
local
level,
even
if
you're
just
doing
a
club
for
your
local
people,
it
can
keep
that
more
fair
as
well,
because
we
tended
to
work
off
of
a
static
list
of
patrons
and
the
the
front
desk
would
just
put
them
on
in
in
the
same
order
every
time.
A
So
the
first
person
on
the
list
would
always
get
the
newest
book
first.
So
this
kind
of
prevents
that
it'll
it'll
make
it
more
fair,
even
if
you're
just
using
it
at
a
single
branch.
A
All
right
so
the
nitty
gritty
how
to
set
this
up.
So
there
are
some
different
components
and
if
we
have
time
at
the
end,
I
can
definitely
show
you
this
live.
I
just
took
some
screenshots
for
posterity
in
the
in
the
slides,
but
the
first
thing
to
to
make
note
of
is
that
it
is
permission
locked.
So
this
is
patreon.
Clubs
is
its
own
permission
line
it's
towards
the
bottom
of
the
settings
there
and
there
are
three
different
permissions.
A
Currently
you
can
edit
clubs,
edit
club
templates
and
enroll
patrons
in
clubs
for
most
of
my
libraries.
We've
only
enabled
the
enrollment
and
that's
because
we're
trying
to
keep
things
kind
of
locked
down.
We
don't
want
people
randomly
adding
author
clubs
adding
duplicate
clubs,
since
it
is
a
consortium-wide
project.
We
want
to
make
sure
everyone's
aware
of
what's
available
and
kind
of
keep
it
just
a
little
same
thing
with
templates.
A
The
templates
are
controlling
for
us
they're
controlling
the
different
formats
right
now,
which
just
makes
it
easier
for
me
to
write
reports
for
large
print
clubs
versus
regular
print
clubs.
So
I
don't
really
want
anyone
getting
in
there
and
adding
more
of
those,
because
it
would
just
complicate
and
clutter
things.
A
All
right,
so
this
is
what
the
template
setup
looks
like,
so
you
give
it
a
name.
You
can
give
it
a
description.
This
is
also
where
you
would
allow
public
enrollment
or
not,
and
this
can
be
toggled
on
later,
as
we
did
so
we
started
off
without
public
enrollment
and
then
we
we
changed
it
over.
We
had
a
launch,
we
did
some
marketing
and
I've
got
some
information
on
that.
A
It's
it's
it's
pretty
beefy
for
for
something
that
was
just
kind
of
sitting
there
in
the
background
and
didn't
really
have
much
of
a
use.
It's
got
some
good
features
and
I
would
encourage
everyone
to
explore
those
if
you're
thinking
about
setting
up
a
club
and
then
so
on.
The
left
is
what
it
looks
like
when
you're
adding
a
new
club
on
the
right
is
what
I've
got
so
far
and
you
can
see
I've
just
got
a
large
print
template
a
regular
print
template
audiobook
template.
B
A
I've
got
those
the
descriptions.
I've
got
the
database
field,
that's
just
for
my
own
reference,
so
that
I
can
reference
that
when
I'm
running
reports,
no
one
else
sees
that,
but
me
and
then
once
you've
got
the
template
set
up,
then
you
can
start
adding
clubs
to
those
templates.
So
you
see
in
this
new
club
drop
down
over
here
on
the
left.
You
get
to
pick
the
template,
you
want
it
to
be
under
and
then
just
add
some
information
and
you
can
also
limit
by
the
library
there
as
well.
A
So
you
can
limit
the
templates
by
library
branch
and
you
can
limit
the
actual
club
itself
by
library
branch
and
it
does
have
a
start
date
and
end
date
and
that's
more
related
to
if
you're,
having
like
a
time,
gated
book
discussion
like
the
october
book
club.
Is
this.
These
people
and
it'll.
B
A
A
But
aside
from
having
your
your
vendor
or
doing
something
on
the
back
end
of
like
adding
them
to
the
database
directly
so
right
now,
both
on
the
staff,
client
and
the
opac,
if
someone
wants
to
enroll
in
a
club,
they
you
hit
enroll,
and
then
it
brings
it
to
this
next
second
screen
and
you
hit
finish
enrollment,
and
then
it
takes
you
back
here
and
you
have
to
do
it
again
and
again
and
again.
So
that's
part
of
why
I
haven't
had
much
uptake
from
my
librarians.
A
A
So
I've
got
a
wish
list
at
the
end
of
this
presentation
and
one
of
the
bugs
is
batch
batch
club
enrollment
and
I
would
love
that's
part
of
why
I'm
doing
this
presentation
is
to
get
more
buy-in
from
people
and
like
get
you
excited.
Hopefully
about
it
so
that
you
can
also
chime
in
and
say,
yeah,
that's
really
needed.
A
That
would
make
this
feature
that
much
more
usable
so
once
you've
enrolled
somebody
there's
the
option
to
cancel
enrollment.
So
on
that
a
few
slides
back,
you
could
see
where
I
had
clubs
enrolled
in
and
then
below
it
club's
not
enrolled
in.
So
whenever
you
enroll
somebody
from
the
the
club's
not
enrolled
in
it'll
pop
them
up
into
the
currently
enrolled
in,
and
you
can
manage
that
from
there
cancel
yeah
and
the
the
patron
side
of
things
is
basically
the
same.
A
It's
showing
this
is
all
showing
up
in
their
account
summary
and
they're
able
to
affect
they're
able
to
go
in
and
enroll
and
cancel.
A
So
I
call
this
the
cheat
code
because
when
you
turn
it
on
it
does
save
your
staff
time.
So
for
us
we
did
turn
public
enrollment
on
and
it
has
it's
been
something
that's
increased,
our
enrollments
for
sure.
So
the
the
analogy
here
is,
we
know
we.
We
had
the
lists
right.
We
had
the
those
blue
lists
of
every
patron
wanted
these
authors,
so
we
knew
that
we
knew
how
much
of
the
iceberg
was
visible
right.
A
We
knew
that's
what
we
knew
about,
but
what
we
didn't
know
about
was
the
people
that
didn't
volunteer,
that
information
or.
B
A
So
these
are
just
some
of
the
promotional
materials
that
we
created
for
our
librarians
and
we
also
encourage
them
to
kind
of
do
their
own
marketing.
That
sort
of
thing
so
we've
got
a
facebook
post.
We've
got
a
bookmark
that
they
can
print
out.
It's
like
a
three
three
sided
thing.
It
didn't
export
very
pretty
here,
but
it
looks
better
on
paper,
so
on
that
one
we
we
kind
of
or
in
both
cases
we
kind
of
just
tried
to
briefly
explain
to
the
patrons.
A
A
Yeah,
so
patrons
are
a
good
tool
for
getting
it
set
up,
especially
right
now,
and
we
can't
batch
batch
and
roll
all
right.
So
reporting
can
be
tricky
and
I
can
show
you
the
sequel.
I
think
we're
probably
gonna
have
time
to
look
at
some
of
the
the
detailed
information
here.
These
are
the
three
reports
that
we
mainly
use
on
a
daily
basis
to
keep
track
of
new
titles
coming
in
that
are
eligible
for
clubs.
A
Books
and
one
that
does
large
print
and
it
basically
just
lists
out
for
the
most
part
we're
just
looking
at
what's
coming
in
it
filters
a
lot
of
things
out,
because
we
don't
we
don't
want
to
see
old
items.
We
don't
want
to
see
republications
we're
also
not
placing
holds
on
trade
paperbacks
right
now
or
like
mass
market
paperbacks.
A
A
A
A
So
just
a
little
information
about
clubs
and
how
they're
kind
of
structured
in
the
database.
If
you
are
looking
at
it
and
wanting
to
write
reports,
everything
I
think
I'm
fairly
confident
that
all
the
tables
related
to
clubs
start
with
club,
so
you've
got
club,
enrollment
fields,
club,
enrollments,
club
fields,
clubholds
holds
the
patron
club,
holds
the
page
and
holds
so
that's
the
link
between
a
clubhole.
A
There's
then
there's
fields
related
or
tables
related
to
templates,
and
then
the
clubs
themselves
have
their
own
table,
and
I
just
made
a
couple
notes
here
of
things:
I've
sort
of
run
into
as
I've
been
working
with
clubs,
so
the
first
one
is,
if
you
run
a
little
report
on
clubs,
just
give
me
everything
from
the
clubs
table
you're
going
to
get
everything
from
the
clubs
table.
A
As
I
mentioned
earlier,
it
it
keeps
track
of
kansas
enrollments,
so
you'd
have
to
filter
those
out
if
you're,
just
wanting
to
see
active,
live
club
enrollments,
which
is
something
that
kind
of
threw
off
my
reporting
in
the
beginning.
A
The
second
thing
is
the
way
I
have
it
set
up
the
way
we're
using
it.
I
there's
not
an
easy
link
between
the
biblio
table
and
the
clubs
table.
So
there's
not
like
a
key.
I
can
use
not
an
item
number,
not
a
bib
number,
so
right
now,
I'm
using
the
author's
name,
because
the
author's
name
is
in
the
club
and
that's
a
messy
joint
and
I
would
love
to
see
a
better
way
and
I'm
part.
A
Another
part
of
this
presentation
is
to
solicit
feedback
and
come
up
with
ideas
on
ways
to
improve
this
for
sure.
But
I
would
love
to
see
a
better
way
to
to
kind
of
link.
A
So,
whenever
a
new
title
is
added,
it
shows
up
on
one
of
those
reports
that
you
saw
a
few
slides
back
and
so
we'll
look
at
it,
and
the
wii
here
is
currently
me
and
head
of
catalog,
our
head
of
cataloging
at
the
system
office
we're
the
two
that
are
primarily
managing
this
and
checking
it
every
day.
Every
morning
and
every
night
she
also
rigorously
combs
through
incoming
records
from
all
of
our
libraries
she's
kind
of
our
quality
assurance.
A
So
she
also
sees
the
things
coming
through,
so
she
can
catch
some
of
the
things
that
aren't
getting
picked
up
by
the
report.
We
can
troubleshoot
why
they're
not
and
then
get
them
added
onto
the
report.
So
we'll
look
at
those
reports
if
we're
too
slow,
our
librarians
know
to
email,
us
and
let
us
know,
and
then
we'll
look
at
that
as
well,
we'll
kind
of
evaluate
the
eligible
candidates.
So
it's
not
a
duplicate
record.
It's
not
a
republication.
A
It's
not
like
a
movie
tie-in
that
just
came
out.
It's
not
outside
our
scope,
which
are
some
of
the
things
that
I
listed.
We
also,
we
don't
have
clubs
for
kids,
books
or
ya,
yet
that's
something
that
we're
looking
at
in
the
future
and
non-fiction
again
we're
not
doing
that
right
now.
A
So,
if
all
the,
if
it
passes
our
kind
of
quality
checks,
then
we'll
go
ahead
and
place
the
hold.
We
sometimes
have
odd
situations
as
well
where
so
the
reports
go
are
based
off
of
the
date
the
bib
was
created,
so
every
once
in
a
while.
A
We
also
have
a
rotating
collection
that
we
at
the
system
send
around
to
our
libraries,
that's
catalog,
so
we
can
run
stats,
keep
track
that
sort
of
thing,
but
it's
not
loanable,
because
it's
rotating,
we
don't
know
where
the
book
is
at
any
given
time,
and
that's
that's
that's
to
do
with
the
fact
that
not
all
of
our
rotation
libraries
are
on
koha.
So
there's
no
real
good
tracking,
but
in
those
cases
we'll
add
the
we
get
a
lot
of
new
large
prints.
A
A
So
a
few
things
that
I
have
confirmed,
we've
confirmed
in
our
testing
and
as
we've
been
using
it
so
randomization
is
definitely
working.
No
two
club
holds
are
gonna,
come
out
the
same.
If
I
get.
If
I
take
two
patterson
records
and
put
a
club
hold
on
each,
the
list
is
going
to
be
in
a
different
order
and
that's
what
we
wanted.
The
holds
won't
be
duplicated.
A
So
if
I
place
the
club
hold-
and
some
of
my
savvier
patrons
have
already
jumped
in
on
it,
so
I've
got
power
users
that
I
have
to
only
assume
they're
using
rss
feeds,
I'm
not
sure
how
else
they
can
be
so
fast,
but
as
soon
as
an
item
is
added
they're
on
there.
So
if
they're
on
there
and
we
place
the
club
hole,
it
doesn't
mess
with
their
existing
hole
that
just
won't
put
another
hold
on
for
them,
so
it
doesn't
duplicate
anything
which
is
great.
A
The
existing
holes
aren't
affected
so
again
my
power
users
at
the
top.
When
I
place
the
club
hold
they're
not
going
to
get
random
randomly
scrambled,
they
got
their
first,
they
get
to
be
at
the
top,
so
the
time
stamp
it's
generating
is
based
on
when
the
club
hold
is
placed.
So
it's
always
gonna
put
those
club
holds
after
anything,
that's
already
on
any
of
the
existing
holds
and
then
localhost
prioritization
still
works
beautifully.
A
So
that's
something
that
we
use
to
kind
of
make
things
more
palatable
for
new
item
sharing,
so
local
holds
prioritization
means
if
the
the
patrons
home
library
buys
a
copy,
then
that
patrons
or
that
library's
copy
is
going
to
go
to
that
page
and
no
matter
how
far
down
on
the
list
they
are.
So
even
if
they're
number
five
they're
getting
their
libraries
copy
first,
which
we
think
is
a
is
a
tolerable
solution
to
sharing
new
items
again
we're
always.
A
You
may
have
heard
me
talk
about
the
sharks
and
the
fishes.
We
we
do
have
other
things
set
up
and
in
place
for
new
item
sharing,
where
people
can
or
libraries
can
choose
to
share
their
stuff
immediately
or
just
freely
share
and
local
old
fraternization
helps
with
that
free
sharing.
It
helps
make
the
libraries
more
comfortable
with
sending
just
sending
out
their
new
stuff,
because
if,
if
we
can
get
their
their
their
patrons
the
items
first
and
then
let
it
go,
that's
great.
A
I
do
have
a
little
diagram.
I
think
that's
the
next
slide
yeah,
so
this
is
a
little
diagram
of
how
the
randomization
will
work
and
I've.
Sorry.
I've
worked
in
the
hq
copies,
which
are
those
library
neutral,
copies
that
we
pump
in.
A
So
this
was
to
kind
of
help,
explain
and
illustrate
to
my
libraries.
What
they
can
expect
so
on
the
left
is
what
we
used
to
do
with
placing
single
holes
and
what
some
of
my
libraries
are
still
doing
because
they
haven't
bought
into
the
clubs.
Yet
so
we're
saying
here
that
library
a
got
in
there
first,
maybe.
B
A
Added
the
they
probably
added
the
item.
First,
so
they've
gone
ahead
and
added
their
holds,
so
they've
got
the
top
three
holds.
Then
library
b
has
the
next
three.
Then
library
c's
only
got
one
copy
and
then
d
added
they're
holding.
So
that's
all
on
one
record
in
those
situations
the
the
headquarters
book,
our
neutral
book
is
going
from
top
to
bottom,
so
it
may
fill
any
of
those
a
holds.
A
First,
it's
probably
going
to
fill
in
a
hold
and
stay
in
there
they
hold
until
it
gets
until
those
are
all
done
with
local
holds
prioritization.
The
b
hold
is,
of
course,
going
to
fill
the
the
or
the
b
item
is
going
to
fill
the
b
hold.
The
c
item
is
going
to
fill.
The
c
hold
first,
with
club
holds
it's
different,
so
you
can
see
that
we're
imagining
here
that
everybody,
but
library
d,
is
in
the
club.
So
library
d
is
hesitant,
so
they
didn't
get
there
in
time.
A
A
A
A
All
right
so
tweaks,
so
I've
made
some
adjustments.
I
there
are
things
just
like.
Oh
you
know
you
know,
jquery.
You
have
to
smooth
out
the
pain
points
right.
So
the
first
thing
that
we
ran
into
was
the
author's
not
on
the
whole
place.
Placehold
page,
I
don't
know
why
it.
I
never
noticed
before
until
we
got
to
doing
these
favorite
club
hold
things,
so
I
added
it
with
some
jquery.
I
had
lucas
hooked
me
up
with
how
to
do
that
with
the
apis,
and
I
had
trouble
with
that.
A
So
I'm
just
using
a
report
right
now,
which
probably
isn't
recommended,
but
I'm
using
a
report
to
pull
in
the
author's
name
onto
this
page,
because
if
the
author's
name
isn't
there,
when
I'm
searching
for
the
club,
I
have
to
flip
back
to
the
normal
view
to
make
sure
I've
got
the
right
author
and
then
flap
back
to
the
holds
page
to
actually
search
for
the
author.
So
it's
it's
really
needed
there,
and
that
is
a
bug.
This
is
28
405..
You
can
you'll
have
access
to
my
presentation.
A
Afterwards
you
can
click
the
links
and
stuff.
I
think
it's
in
failed
qa
right
now.
I
know
barbara
was
commenting
on
that
at
one
point
we
talked
about
it
at
the
web
dev
meeting,
so
lucas
was
taking
a
look
as
well,
but
for
now
I've
just
used
jquery
to
add
that
in
because
I
need
it.
Otherwise
it
adds
extra
unnecessary
clicks
to
our
process
and
could
lead
to
errors,
data
tableified
clubs
tables.
A
This
is
another
thing
that
we
talked
about
at
the
web.
Dev
sig
and
lucas
was
able
to
write
a
patch
pretty
quick
thanks
lucas.
So
this
is
the
one
I
was
talking
about
about
at
the
top,
where,
if
you're
gonna
start
using
clubs
today
and
you're
still
on
2005
like
if
you're
a
bywater
partner,
most
of
us
are
still
on
2005..
A
So
it's
not
going
to
look
the
same,
and
it's
probably
not
going
to
look
the
same
as
my
screenshot
here
either.
But
it's
going
to
be
better.
It's
going
to
have
that
it's
going
to
paginate
those
tables,
because,
right
now,
if
you
had
300
clubs
and
didn't
have
the
jquery
that
I
put
in
it's
just
one
long
list
in
that
clubs,
tab
on
the
patient
account
so
yeah,
so
that
one's
coming,
which
is
good.
A
This
is
something
that
I
worked
in
again
kind
of
specific
to
our
situation,
because
we
we
don't
want
to
place
a
hole
on
a
record.
That's
already
had
a
club
hold,
so
I'm
using
a
report
to
query
when
when
and
if
a
clubhold
has
been
placed
on.
A
That
information
back
into
specifically
the
clubs
tab.
So
when
you
click
on
the
clubs
tab,
if
that
hold
was
placed,
it's
going
to
tell
you
that
and
turn
that
box
red
just
so
that
there's
kind
of
a
big
stopper-
and
this
is
sort
of
in
preparation
for
us
allowing
our
librarians
to
also
partake
in
the
whole
placement
process
of
trying
to
trying
to
make
it
as
hard
as
possible
to
create
chaos.
A
And
that's
that's
one
of
our
challenges
challenges.
So
these
are
just
a
few
and
I'll
just
kind
of
rapid
fire
through
these
challenges,
ponderances
things
that
were
still
kind
of
working
out
and
if
you're
thinking
about
it
now,
maybe
you
can
come
up
with
even
better
solutions.
A
A
How
popular
are
they?
Are
they
dead?
Does
it
matter?
A
lot
of
dead
authors
are
still
releasing
titles
under
their
names
and
how
many
people
do
we
really
need
to
have
in
a
club
before
we
decide?
We
need
to
have
a
club
for
that
author
and
I
don't
have
all
the
answers
for
these
questions.
A
For
the
most
part,
we've
been
pretty
liberal
about
adding
authors
and
then
we've
we
figure
if
they're
out
there,
no
one's
in
the
club,
we'll
still
put
them
out
there
patrons
can
pick
them
if
they
want
to
that'll
tell
us
that
they
want
those
clubs,
maybe
we're
not
buying
as
many
as
we
need
to
so
again,
informing
collection
development,
but
if
they
don't
get
any
use
after
a
year
say
we
can
go
through
and
weed
those
out,
so
there's
no
harm,
it
seems
fairly
scalable.
A
A
We
may
reevaluate
that
in
the
future
reporting
some
challenges
with
reporting,
so
I'm
just
gonna
flat
out
say
that
I
hate
I
hate
it
when
the
main
author
is
in
the
700
field.
So
tom
clancy
is
my
main
use
case
here.
A
So
it's
really
hard
to
report
on
that,
because
I'm
linking
biblio.author
to
clubs.club
name
or
whatever
the
field
is,
and
tom
clancy's,
not
in
biblio.author
because
he's
over
in
the
700
and
somebody
else
is
just
using
his
name.
But
my
patrons
want
that
tom
clancy
book,
so
I've
been
working
on
reports
to
kind
of
bring
the
700
in
to
that
linking
and
it's
not
gone
too
smoothly.
A
So
I
just
have
to
it's
something:
we're
just
having
to
keep
an
eye
on
and
there
are
other
other
library
or
other
authors
doing
the
same
thing
and
it's
it's
just
a
point
of
frustration
for
our
process.
The
other
thing
is
that
this
our
setup
using
that
connection
again
between
biblio.author
and
clubs.club
name,
relies
on
near
perfect
cataloging.
So
I
do
have
the
join
setup
to
trim
out
the
comma
trim
out
the
period,
but
that
doesn't
always
work.
A
I've
I've
run
into
multiple
times
where
there's
a
space
between
initials,
so
jd
rob
is
j,
dot,
space,
dot
d
dot,
but
my
club
name
was
j
dot
d
dot
and
they
weren't
showing
up
on
the
report,
because
that
join
wasn't
working
correctly,
so
the
club
name
has
to
match
the
author
name
or
else
it's
toast,
so
there's
probably
cleaner
ways
to
do
this
too.
I
would
love
to
figure
out
what
those
cleaner
ways
are.
A
Juvenile
nya
holds
are
kind
of
our
next
big
thing
to
add,
and
I'm
a
little
bit
stuck
on
it.
We've
I've
talked
with
our
youth
consultant
and
we'll
probably
start
bringing
some
up.
A
So
there
are
lots
of
questions
it
doesn't
really
fit,
as
well
as
favorite
author
clubs
for
adults,
because
sometimes
the
that
author
writes
juvenile
nonfiction,
they
write
chapter
books,
they
write
picture
books,
they
do
multiple
things,
so
we
need
to
figure
out
how
to
distinguish
between
what
actually
needs
to
hold
and
what
doesn't.
A
We
could
even
bring
it
up
a
level
to
genre.
I'm
told
that
the
kids
do
like
certain
authors,
so
we
could
try
out
that
we
could
try
other
clubs.
We
could
try
a
variety
of
things,
we're
just
kind
of
I
kind
of
back
burner
to
that,
and
I
need
to
get
back
to
it,
but
we
think
that
it
would
definitely
work
for
other
material
types.
A
Besides
these
adult
favorite
author
clubs,
we're
just
not
haven't
fully
fleshed
that
out
yet
and
then
another
challenge
is
the
division
of
labor,
which
I've
mentioned
a
little
bit.
How
do
we?
How
do
we
bring
our
librarians
into
this
process
safely?
How
do
we
make
it
so
when
the
libraries
that
have
staff
and
staff
time
to
help
with
this
decide
they
want
to
because
they
want
those
holes
put
on.
A
A
If
somebody
accidentally
puts
a
club
hold
on
the
wrong
record,
you're
we're
gonna
have
to
go
through
and
drop
that
down
to
delete
on
each
hold
and
then
update
them
or
hit
each
x
individually
and
wait
for
the
page
to
load
each
time.
So
what
kind
of
tools
could
we
maybe
add
to
coha?
That
would
help
in
case
of
an
emergency
sort
of,
and
what
do
we
want
to
wait
on
before?
We
do
expand
this,
so
those
are
just
some
other
kind
of
questions
without
answers
that
were
where
we
have
in
this
process.
A
At
this
point
and
then
my
wish
list
batch
enrollment,
that's
bug
2800,
if
you're
interested
in
using
clubholds,
I
would
definitely
recommend
you
pop
in
there
and
say
this
is
a
thing
we
need,
because
it's
a
thing
we
need.
It
will
make
the
usage
of
this
tool
far
easier,
more
streamlined
less
time
consuming.
A
Another
idea
I
threw
out
there
is
club
suspensions
so
right
now
your
options
are
to
enroll
and
cancel,
that's
it,
which
that's
okay,
but
if
I've
got
a
patron,
that's
going
on
vacation.
That's
my
my
always
my
go-to
scenario.
A
They
don't
want
to
have
a
whole
place,
while
they're
out
of
town,
because
it's
it
might
come
in
and
they
won't
be
able
to
pick
it
up,
but
they
do.
They
do
want
to
be
in
that
club.
How
do
we
handle
that?
We
right
now
we
have
to
cancel
the
enrollment
and
then
go
back
to
our
paper
tracking
system,
our
spreadsheet
tracking
system
and
keep
track,
and
when
they
get
back
put
them
back
in
the
club.
A
It
would
be
nice
if
these
could
be
handled
like
holds
where
we
can
suspend
one
or
many
clubs
until
a
certain
date
or
just
in
general,
suspend
the
club
until
we
know
that
they're
ready
to
start
getting
holds
again
just
to
to
kind
of
help,
soften
that
and
avoid
unnecessary
holds
and
transits
that
aren't
gonna
get
picked
up,
and
then
I
would
love
to
have
a
foolproof
way
to
automate
this
process.
A
I
don't
know
how
that
could
work,
but
if
there
is
a
super
genius
in
the
audience,
I'm
open
to
suggestions
after
you're
hearing
my
my
mess
of
a
system
that
I've
set
up
for
this,
maybe
you
can
you
can
see
through
all
that
and
figure
out
a
way
that
could
make
it
work
the
way
we
really
needed
to.
A
A
Indeed,
so
I
believe
that's
the
end
of
my
slideshow.
I
noticed
that
trevor
put
in
the
chat
the
system,
preference
that
we
were
talking
about
for
local
holds
prioritization
is
called
local
holds
priority,
so
I
won't
pull
that
up
unless
someone
needs
to
see
it.
Are
there
other
questions
from
the
room
from
the
youtube
chat?
B
A
B
B
A
B
A
B
A
B
Okay
hi,
if
you're,
if
you're,
not
part
of
a
club,
but
you
do
place
a
hold
on
one
of
these
items
that
is
also
corresponding
with
a
club
hold.
Where
do
you
fall?
What
what
happens
to
you.
A
A
All
right
any
other
questions
from
the
room
or
youtube
give
youtube
another
30
seconds.
I'd
say
I
don't
know
how
how
slow
that
lag
is
I.
B
A
And
I
guess
I
didn't
mention
I
can
definitely
I
don't
have
my
reports
in
the
wiki
because
they
are
so
experimental,
but
I
will
put
put
them
into
like
a
just
a
google
doc
and
share
that
with
my
materials.
A
If
you
want
to
take
a
look
at
what
I'm
doing
and
see
if
there
are
ways
that
you
can
use
it
or
improve
upon
it,
the
jquery
same
thing,
I
can
add
that
there
are
a
couple
jquery
snippets
that
do
use
reports
which
again
I've
been
sort
of
discouraged
from
doing,
because
I
know
that
can
have
some
it
can
cause
load
on
the
server
yeah.
So
christopher
is
asking
in
the
chat.
A
So
everything
is
being
recorded
as
far
as
I'm
aware,
and
I
will
get
the
recordings
and.
A
I
have
up-
probably
tonight
I
might
sleep
tonight,
but
definitely
sometime
tomorrow,
the
recordings
and
the
slides
and
everything
will
go
up
and
you'll
be
able
to
watch
them
back.
A
I
see
that
somebody
mentioned
that
setting
up
clubs
with
this
was
the
subject
of
monday
minutes.
That's
that's
a
great
resource
to
check
out
too,
if
you're
interested
in
getting
started
with
clubs.
