Description
[SIG-ContribEx] KCSEU 2023 Planning for 20230227
B
Hello
and
welcome
everyone
to
today's
meeting
February
27th
meeting
of
the
kubecon
Amsterdam
kubernetes
contributors,
Summit
staff
team,
meeting
I
think
that
name
keeps
getting
longer
every
time.
I
say
it
as
a
reminder.
This
is
a
cncf
based
meeting
and
therefore
we
are
governed
by
the
cncf
code
of
conduct,
which
boils
down
to
be
excellent
to
each
other
and
don't
be
a
jerk.
B
So
today
we
are
picking
up
the
pieces
from
last
week
because
we
had
a
bunch
of
folks
out
and
we
need
to
figure
out
all
the
things
that
we
need
to
do
so,
starting
at
the
top
we'll
go
through
all
the
items
that
everybody's
got
first
and
then
we
will
get
back
to
I.
Think
the
most
important
thing
that
we
need
to
do
today,
which
is
the
room
layouts
for
the
docs,
because
Brienne
needs
those
ideally
by
the
end
of
today,
I'd
like
to
have
them
by
the
end
of
this
call.
B
So
we'll
get
back
to
that
next
up,
cncf
updates,
that's
all
we
have
for
the
leads
I
think
for
now
CNT
of
updates.
We
know
that
we
need
the
room
layout
Decisions
by
the
end
of
today.
What
about
other
decisions?
This
is
a
question
to
Brienne
for
things
like
coffee
breaks,
lunch
all
the
other
stuff
that
goes
along
with
making
the
event
flow
smoothly.
When
do
we
need
decisions,
or
do
we
even
need
to
make
decisions
about
these
things,
or
did
they
just
happen?.
E
So
I
am
planning,
so
breakfast
will
be
included
pretty
much
in
everyone's
hotels.
So
that's
where
that'll
be
I
am
going
to
include,
am
breaks,
PM
breaks
lunch.
You
know
Beverages
and
stuff
like
that
in
my
proposal,
anyways,
so
that's
already
going
to
be
included.
E
Obviously
I
will
need
the
final
times
for
everything,
but
I
don't
need
that
until
much
closer
to
the
event.
So
that's
not
anything.
We
need
to
worry
about
right
now.
Anything.
The
one
thing
that
I
will
need
for
ideally
by
the
end
of
this
week
is
if
anybody
has
any
specific
signage
requests.
I
am
working
with
our
creative
Services
team
right
now
to
put
together
our
signage
designs.
E
So
if
anybody
has
anything
specific
that
you
would
like
for
a
sign,
please
let
me
know
by
the
end
of
this
week,
so
I
can
get
that
into
our
team
and
then
I
will
have
those
drafts,
hopefully
sometime
next
week,
that
I'll
be
able
to
share.
E
But
right
now
the
biggest
thing
for
me
is
just
knowing
what
our
room
layouts
will
be
as
far
as
how
we
want
them
set
any
AV
requests
that
we
have
anything
like
that.
That's
kind
of
the
the
biggest
piece
that
I
have
right
now
that
I
need
so
everything
else
is
in
a
good
spot.
B
Okey-Dokey
I
will
say
regarding
the
signage
I
remember
in
Detroit,
you
had
arrows
to
stick
on
everything,
and
that
was
fantastic
and.
F
E
That
was
my
plan,
so
I
just
wanted
to
put
it
out
there
in
case
anybody
had
anything
that
they
thought
would
be
a
great
sign
idea
just
to
let
me
know,
but
otherwise,
yes,
I'm
planning
on
basically
exactly
the
same
as
what
I
did
for
Detroit.
C
Got
even
if
we
don't
have
breakfast
available
we'll
we
at
least
have
like
coffee
when
people.
E
C
A
E
B
Awesome
any
other
questions
for
Brienne
about
anything
at.
E
I
can
give
one
more
update
also
on
the
celebration.
We
do
have
the
contract
in
hand,
so
it
is
in
review
with
our
upper
level
people.
So
hopefully
we
will
get
that
finalized
and
signed
this
week
and
I
will
let
you
know
as
soon
as
it
is
officially
signed.
Awesome.
B
Moving
on
content,
I
don't
see
Jason
on
the
call
is
anybody
from
the
content
team
on
yeah.
B
We
need
to
start
looking
at
getting
a
cfp
up
this
week.
Can
you
bring
that
to
Jason's
attention,
make
sure
that
the
team
is
yeah
working
on
that.
H
B
Fantastic
I
know
it's
I.
I
Can
link
you
the
one
from
last
time
where
we
did
an
issue
for
Valencia
I'm
pulling
that
issue
now
and
I
can
link
it
for
you,
cool.
C
J
E
C
K
F
J
B
Actually,
Nigel's
link
brings
up
an
interesting
point.
Really.
We've
got
two
separate
things
to
deal
with.
We've
got
a
cfp
for
formally
submitted
presented
talks,
and
then
we
also
have
the
GitHub
issue
for
all
the
unconference
talks.
Those
are
two
separate
things
that
both
need
to
be
handled.
I
A
I
B
I
was
going
to
say
that
we
probably
don't
need
to
worry
about
it
as
you're,
saying
less
pressing,
I'm
saying
that
it
might
not
be
as
time
sensitive
and
then
I
realized
that
we
only
have
like
six
weeks
or
eight
seven
weeks
or
something
like
that.
Yeah.
D
B
Caitlin,
that's
a
great
suggestion.
Maybe
you
can
just
take
one
hash
it
out
with
Jason
who
I
know
was
in
communicato
because
he
was
on
vacation
as
well.
B
Awesome
I,
think
that
puts
us
in
a
good
place
for
where
the
cfp
might
be.
Let
me
make
a
couple
notes,
or
could
somebody
make
some
notes
in
the
doc
about
that?
Please
I
do!
Thank
you
moving
on
to
comms
with
Chris.
Where
are
we
at.
G
F
Waiting
on
the
cfp
announcement
I
wanted
that
to
go
out
before
we
re-remind
people
about
registration,
so
it
would
Pro
for
the
comms
for
cfp.
It
might
be
good,
it's
not
necessary,
but
it
might
be
good
if
we
had
the
issue
for
unconference
and
the
form,
but
it's
not
necessary.
We
can
send
out
a
reminder
and
oh
here's,
the
issue
for
the
unconference
later
creating.
F
So
yeah,
that's
what
we're
waiting
on
and
sooner
the
better.
C
So
quick
little
thing:
sorry
I
copy
I
just
copied
the
n
a
form
into
the
EU
directory,
call
to
EU
and
drop
the
link
in
there,
and
anyone
that
is
on
the
second
remix
list
should
be
able
to
edit
it
cool.
J
So
cool
I
added
to
the
cool.
B
Awesome,
thank
you.
Bob,
let's
see
if
we
can
try
and
get
the
cfp
done
by
the
end
of
this
week,.
B
Awesome
moving
ahead,
reg
updates
how
we
doing
Mars.
G
Yay
super
doing
great
thanks
a
lot
to
Brienne
and
other
folks.
We've
got
96
people
registered
so
far,
which
is
great,
yay,
yeah,
96
and
18
stuff
I
think
we
need
to
bring
stuffed.
We
have
more
stuff
than
that.
2018.
I'm,
not
sure
if
I'm
registered
I
need
to
check
that.
But
yes,
yet
if
I
re-register,
yes,
please
do
register.
If
your
staff,
please
do
register
I,
hope
we
yes
and
we
have
some
stuff
register
as
regulars.
Also
that's
another.
We
should
probably
register,
cancel
the
first
one
and
register
that
stuff.
G
So
we
can
have
proper
head
counts
and
we
know
the
details,
but
hopefully
we'll
have
150
I,
don't
know
200,
maybe
even
I.
Don't
know
we'll
see
fingers
crossed
I.
G
B
B
J
It's
linked
in
the
staff,
Channel
bookmark
bar
I
think
oh
different.
D
B
Over
to
celebration,
then,
because
reg
is
looking
good,
no
just
one
more
thing:
no
problems
with
the
workflow.
Now
that
Bob
fixed
the
yeah
look.
G
Up
thing
for
us:
yes,
thanks
a
lot
Bob.
Thank
you.
Yes,
there
were
some.
There
were
some
false,
false
missing
registrations,
GitHub
registrations,
but
now
they're
all
good.
Yes,.
B
L
Hello,
not
much
unless
that
I'm
missing
something
I.
Think
that's
I'm,
mostly
depending
on
on
on
on
definitions
and
information
that
we're
still
working
on
that
said,
I've
been
talking
with
the
Shadows,
confirming
that
they've
done
the
registration.
L
There
are
some
Shadows
which
still
haven't
that
they
don't
have
the
confirmation
of
yet
when
they
will
be
there,
but
all
of
them
at
least
have
the
expectation
that
they
will
be
participating
there.
So
I've
confirmed
that
as
far
as
I
could
so
I
think
we're.
A
L
I've
been
adding
others
that
I
that
have
been
volunteering
in
terms
of
they're
going
to
be
there
and
they
want
to
help
so
I've
been
doing
that
as
well.
B
Fantastic
and
the
the
meat
of
that
work
doesn't
really
start
until
after
the
content
is
hashed
out
and
the
schedule
is
laid
out.
Yeah,
okay,
I
think
if
I
will
say,
because
we
have
so
many
volunteers,
especially
like
Jason's
got
a
lot
of
helpers
along
with
all
the
Shadows.
Don't
hesitate
to
reach
out
to
the
other
folks
in
the
other
teams
and
absolutely
okay,
you're
gonna,
be
there
don't
don't
hesitate
to
reach
out
to
all
the
other
staff
members.
B
Awesome,
oh
okay
takes
us
through
Ops
the
Sig
meat
and
greet
is
next
up.
I,
don't
see
Kim
on
the
call
and
Laura
said
she
will
not
be
here
until
the
bottom
of
the
hour.
So
we
can
wait
on
information
from
that.
There
is
a
an
issue
opening
GitHub,
that
is
on
me
for
the
handbook
that
needs
a
review
done
and
that's
waiting
on
me.
But
I've
been
sick.
B
Okay,
next
up
under
mask
book,
your
hotels,
oh
they
keep
filling
up.
There
are
going
to
be
so
many
people
here.
B
So
if
you
are
a
staff-
and
you
do
not
already
have
a
hotel
get
on
that
like
right
away
when
I
went
to
book,
which
was
a
couple
weeks
ago,
almost
all
the
hotels
were
filled
up
and
I
ended
up
in
a
place
that
was
like
320
Euros,
a
night
so
book
where
you
can,
while
you
can
I've
noticed
that
they
I
looked
last
night
and
I
noticed
they
added
a
couple
more
hotels.
B
So
if
you
have
not
done
so
get
on
that
get
on
it
next
up
under
misc
as
well,
I
noticed
just.
This
is
just
a
point
of
interest:
I
noticed
as
I
was
going
through
all
the
travel
stuff
that
there
are
passes,
the
Amsterdam
travel
ticket.
B
That
will
get
you
on.
Let
me
take
a
quick
look
and
make
sure
I
get
it
right,
bus,
trams
and
Metro,
and
allows
you
to
travel
all
over
the
place
in
Amsterdam
and
you
can
get
it
for
one
two
or
three
days.
B
It
is
worthwhile
for
anyone
that
is
coming
in
to
take
a
look
at
that.
That's
all
I.
D
B
Suggestions
for
hotels,
my
suggestion
is
wherever
you
can
find
some
space.
That's
we're.
B
Most
of
the
hotels
that
are
listed
on
the
kubecon
website,
they
will
tell
you
what
days
they
have
available
and
some
of
them
are
like.
Oh,
we
have
every
day
except
Thursday,
that's
terrible,
because
that
just
means
that
no
one
can
book
there.
That's
completely
unacceptable,
so
get
what
you
can
get
it
now.
Good
luck.
B
C
B
Reasonable
thank
you
for
your
input.
Bob.
As
always,
let's
go
take
a
quick
look.
Then
I
expect
that
the
big
room,
let's
see
Forum
ground
floor
home
complex,
is
General
Session
set
up
in
theater.
That
is
probably
the
ideal
way
to
go
with
that
room
because
we
need
at
least
one
big
room
for
the
everybody
session.
C
Actually,
what
is
is
the
Forum
the.
J
E
C
One
actual
thought
for
the.
A
E
Divided
three
sections:
one
section
called
the
Holland
complex,
another
section
called
the
Elysium
complex
and
then
there's
a
third
section.
I,
don't
remember
what
it's
called
so
where
we
are
is
technically
within
the
Holland
complex
of
the
Rye
venue.
But
the
space
itself
is
called
Forum,
Forum,
lounge
and
then
yeah.
The
e103
e105,
like
those
are
the
actual
room
names.
E
Yes,
so
the
everything
is
upstairs,
except
for
the
Forum
lounge
and
the
Forum.
Those
are
on
like
ground
level,
and
it's
actually
very
simple.
If
you
go,
if
everybody
would
go
in
through,
oh
I
think
it's
registration
k,
so
we're
going
to
have
two
registration
areas:
there's
registration,
K
and
registration
C,
and
those
also
will
have
the
health
and
safety
checks,
I
believe
it's
K.
And
basically,
if
everybody
were
to
go
in
that
door,
our
space
is
basically
straight
back
the
hallway,
like
straight
down
the
hallway
from
there.
E
So
it's
very
easy
to
get
to
if
they
go
in
that
door.
If
everybody
goes
in
the
other
doors,
it's
it's
a
whole
thing.
So
again
we're
going
to
have
signage
to
make
sure
people
get
there,
but
definitely
one
one
side
is
much
easier
to
get
into
so
the
Forum,
where
we
will
have
the
General,
Session
and
meals
and
hangout
space
is
on
ground
level,
Okay,
C,
sorry,
not
K,
C
and
then
you'll
see.
If
you
just
go
basically
straight
down,
we
end
up
in
the
Forum
area.
E
E
G
E
I
mean
I
think
if
we
can
encourage
people
to
go
through
registration
c
as
much
as
possible.
That's
gonna
make
it
so
much
easier
because
you'll
see
over
registration
k,
it's
you've
got
to
go
in
and
then
you've
got
to
go
up
and
you've
got
to
go
through
a
hallway
and
then
you've
got
to
go
like
back
down
and.
E
Yeah
once
once
we
get
everybody
to
our
space,
It
should
be
really
easy,
I
mean
everything's.
All
within
you
know
confined
space
like
I
said
we're
the
only
group
back
there,
so
it
should
make
it
really
nice
we're
gonna,
have
security
like
a
temp
staff
security
person
that
will
be
just
verifying
badges,
making
sure
everybody's
supposed
to
be
there.
E
So
it
shouldn't
cause
any
issues.
Once
we
get
people
to
the
right
place,
we.
B
Could
put,
we
could
put
a
sign
outside
door,
K
and
say
kubernetes
contributor
Summit.
We
recommend
Dorsey
instead
yeah
yeah
that'd.
J
Be
a
good
idea
want
to
go
on
an
adventure
or
just
be
at
the
summit.
E
C
A
D
C
An
inner
space!
So
if
you
go
to
entrance
e
Forum,
Ruby
Lounge.
E
Yeah,
it's
an
interesting
venue.
C
The
lounge
looks
very
nice.
B
J
The
question
is,
if
there's
enough
space
to
maybe
get
like
a
table
or
a
few
tables
in
the
back,
because
it
seems
like
there
is
some
space,
but
it's
not
really
clear
on
this
yeah
yeah
I'm.
E
Not
sure
I
could
ask
and
see
if
that
would
be
a
possibility,
we
might
be
able
to
do
something
like
that.
I.
F
A
B
E
A
J
E
Okay,
yes,
so
right
now,
I
do
have
it
budgeted
for
the
General
Session
and
workshop.
If
we
are
doing
a
workshop,
I
don't
have
it
budgeted
for
anything
else.
So
yeah.
J
B
Four,
potentially
on
conference
rooms,
since
that
seems
to
be
what
everybody
seems
to
lean
towards.
So
that
gives
us
you.
C
E
B
E
B
K
E
C
J
J
B
I'm
gonna
say
that,
based
on
the
layout,
we
should
put
the
doc
spring
to
at
the
end,
just
because
yeah
they
tend
to
be
quiet.
We
don't
want
to
disturb
them.
B
I'm
I'm,
hesitant
to
put
them
in
the
middle
yes,
105,
106
or
to
the
small
rooms,
are
right
in
the
middle
here.
H
Staffing
105
or
106.
and.
D
C
C
F
J
B
B
B
B
Let's
see
that
means
we
want
theater
here
and
for
the
workshop
I'm
thinking,
classroom.
B
This
I
don't
think
we
get
a
choice.
This
is
just
theater
Style,
because
if
we
can
set
this
up
like
a
classroom,
then
anybody
that's
doing
a
workshop
in
there
could
potentially
have
people
like
we.
We
had
somebody
already
say
that
they
were
interested
in
running
like
a
Hands-On
security
Workshop,
in
which
case
people
are
going
to
want
to
have
their
laptops
out.
G
C
To
be
red
right
or
if
you're
you're
doing
like
unconference
type
stuff,
they're
gonna
be
taking
over,
that
entire
room,
that
one
I
would
probably
do
YouTube
board
or
you
shape
yeah
yeah.
A
K
C
Second,
room
would
be
the
one
that
I'd
leave
as
yeah,
because
it's
usually
just
them
literally
having
a
meeting
yeah
that.
C
C
You
should
change
the
smaller,
oh
surrounds,
yeah,
or
do
just
a
smaller
one
to
round
or
rounds
and.
D
L
B
Potentially
I
mean
if
somebody's,
if
we
got
an
unconference,
that's
going
to
have
40
or
50
people
in
it,
then.
B
C
Here,
to
be
honest,
like
we
are
probably
at
a
good
chunk
of
who
is
registered
and
who's
going
to
be
going,
we
saw
basically
a
pattern
shift
previously
with
people.
You
know
registering
at
the
last
minute,
but
now
with
so
many
people
having
to
get
like
you're
approved
for
travel,
you're,
not
I
would
probably
Bank
on
us
having
like
120
people,
maybe
like
150
register,
but
realistically
probably
120
people
on
site.
B
Though
I
wonder
if
that,
considering
how
many
people
been
asking
about
the
cfp,
I
wonder
if
maybe
the
cfp
will
give
us
a
a
larger
boost
than
previous,
because
we've
seen
a
lot
of
people
ask
about
cop,
but
I,
don't
yeah
you're,
probably
we're
at
least
halfway
there.
D
C
A
C
I
can
put
the
numbers
from
n
a
because
it'll
probably
be.
You
know
at
most
two-thirds
of
n
a.
J
J
D
B
We
need
to
get
let's
see
podiums,
we
probably
want
them
in
these
two.
Do
we
need
podiums
in
the
other
rooms?
No,
we.
D
B
I
B
Screens
and
projectors
I
assume
the
Forum
is
probably
already
set
up.
We
should
find
that
out.
B
We
definitely
want
it
in
the
workshop.
I
think
that's
gonna
be
at
least
two
screens.
E
B
K
E
B
Too
I
I
mean
how
many,
how
many
are
in
there?
What
can
we
like?
What
is
our
space
for?
Do
we
know,
but
let's
go
back
and
look
at
the.
E
Some
pictures
where
people
did
have
two
screens
and
they
just
kind
of
like
set
them
on
either
side
of
the
stage
space
like
down
on
the
ground
on
either
side,
so
I
think
it's
really
up
to
us
and
like
if
we'd
rather
do
like
one
large
screen
in
the
middle
or
two
smaller
screens
on
each
side,
I
think
there's
ability
to
do
either.
One.
B
It
looks
from
the
picture
like
it's
designed
for
everybody
to
sort
of
stare
at
one
major
screen,
which
is
probably
better
than
the
fact
sheet.
Just
has
a
larger
version
of
this
picture
because
you
couldn't
see
it.
K
A
D
Start
what
Hall
are
we
in
or
how
do
we
get
there.
C
C
J
D
B
If
we,
if
the
statement
of
we
want
one
screen,
is
somebody's
going
to
come
in
and
stand
up
one
screen
that
is
significantly
smaller
than
maybe
we
want
to,
but
I
still
feel
like
the
way
that
the
seating
is
laid
out.
Everybody
is
pointed
at
one
screen.
You
don't
have
that.
Well,
you
were
off
to
the
left,
so
you
couldn't
see
it.
C
A
B
One
one
big
screen
the
workshop:
let's
go
up
to
the
workshop,
then
e103
104.,
let's
see
if
we
can.
C
One
one
note
in
the
right:
the
floors
like
it
starts
with
zero.
So
yes,
remember
that.
A
C
You've
got
a
preview
like
that
cool,
that's
kind
of
cool
that
might
actually
be
a
better
option.
Yeah.
J
B
F
B
I
do
want
to
look
at
the
larger
room
if
I
can
go.
B
Oh
there's
a
big
window
in
there.
That's
scary.
C
There
are
for
most
of
them,
but
there
are
Shades
like
that,
are
like
blackout,
curtains,
yeah.
E
The
rooms
all
have
a
blackout
option
so
it'll
be
darkened
cool.
B
So
if
we're
doing
e103
104
together,
I
think
two
screens
yeah,
because
then
we
can
have
people.
We
have
like
a
setup
in
the
middle
Riser
and
Podium,
assuming
if
there's
a
riser
or
not
it
doesn't
matter
podium
in
the
middle
and
screens
on
either
side
would
be
good
because
it
feels
like
a
very
wide
classroom.
C
If,
if
they're
being
Joy
like,
is
it
being
set
up
so
that
the
person
is
facing
the
windows
or
is
a
person
facing
the
other
side?
Because
it'd
be
there
wide
or
long.
K
It
is
wide
if,
if
you
take
a
look,
if
you
go
back
to
the
drop
down
where
you
can
see
all
of
them
together,
they
show
you
105,
106
and
107
being
merged,
so
I
would
imagine
103
and
104
would
look
the
same.
So
if
you
do
the
drop
down
from
overview
of
facilities,
oh
so
overview
facilities
and
then
scroll
down
until
you
get
down
to
the
ease,
you'll
see
it
because
I
I'm
moving.
B
C
B
B
Microphones
I
assume
this
is
in
addition
to
whatever's
up
front.
Is
that
correct
and
holy
crap
we're
almost
out.
A
B
B
C
B
D
K
K
Like
do
you
need
anything
right
now
from
this
whole
thing?
No!
Yes,
because
I
will
start
chasing
things
down,
but
I
have
not
gotten
a
hold
of
him
yet
I.
K
Oh
okay,
so
that
that
issue
all
right,
I
will
check
with
Kim
and
if
Kim
does
not
respond,
I
will
do
it.
A
E
K
B
And
I
still
need
to
go.
Give
a
thumbs
up
on
the
handbook
that
Burke.
