Description
In this 39-minute Developer/Citizen Developer-focused demo, Josh Friedman steps through posting a card (requesting information from meeting attendees) with Power Automate in a Teams meeting chat. The card can handle multiple responses to it (evidenced in multiple responses in meeting chat during demo). Every time a person responds to the card (trigger), a Planner task is created. The solution requires 2 flows - Trigger (Response Handling Flow) and Action (Card Posting Flow). Available in Preview today. Demo is followed by extensive Q&A. This demo is taken from the Adaptive Cards community call – May 2022, recorded on May 12, 2022.

main

the
triggers
and
actions
that
are
used
for
it.
So
what
I'm
showing
is
posting

card

power
automate

then
allowing

be
able
to
handle
multiple
responses
for
it
I'm
doing
a
little
more
complicated
demo
than
I've
done
for
my
team,
and
I
haven't
tried
out
so
hopefully
everything
goes
smoothly,
but
basically
you'll
need
to
create
two
flows
for
this.

setting
up
is
the
one
that
will
handle
responses,
so
in
this
case
I'm
just
going
to
do
one
for
creating
a
planner
task.

did
for
this
is,
I
just
took
the
create
a
planner
task
from

message
template
and
the
workflow
stored.
Also,
I'm
gonna
assume
there's
like
some
basic
understanding
of
power
automate
from
everyone
on
the
call.

what
that

that's

time
someone
responds
to

something
I
have
one
that
I
was
working
on
for
like
a
mini
project
for
the
team,
that
every
day
someone
would
send
out
a
card
asking
if
you're
in
the
office
today
and
then,
if
you
are,
I
added
people
to
a
tag
you
might
have
seen
like.
I,
some
new
tag
actions
have
been
out
of
the
power
animate
connector
and
basically
you
can
keep
track
of
who's
in
the
office.
That
way,
so
you
send
like
one
adaptive
card
to
the
team
every
morning.

like
a
many-to-many
relationship,
so
you
can
have
multiple
cards
that
all
have
the
same
card
type
id
and
if
they
have
the
same,
one
they'll
still
be
mapped
the
same
trigger
so
like
I
could
post
the
same
card

chats

channels
and
for
everyone.
If
it's
the
same
id
it'll
all
trigger
the
same
or
all
triggers
you
need
the
same
flow
for
it
and
on
the
flip
side,
you
could
also
have
multiple
triggers
that
all
have
the
same
card
type
id.

can
have
like
when
someone
responds
to
a
card,
if
you
want,
you
can
have
multiple
flows
all
run
in
parallel.
At
the
same
time,
that
scenario
is
probably
like
a
little
less
common
for
it.
I
don't
really
know
if
you
need
to
have
multiple
flows
running
at
the
same
time,
but
being
able
to
post
multiple
cars
with
the
same
id
and
having
just
one
flow
handle.
All
the
responses
helps
simplify
things
a
lot
but
yeah,
that's
the
basic
demo,

it.

really

valuable
use
case
for
this
feature,

feature

like

see

the
ability
to
refresh
the

once
the
message
is
sent
from
one
card

cloud
flow
is
triggered,
then
to
have
any
kind
of
possibility
that
this
other
flow
is
able
to
update
the
card,
replace
it
with
a
new
one.

support
yet
