aware

licensing
cost

anything.

building

and
creating

for

live
near

I've

working
with
sharepoint
since
2003
or
2004.

sharepoint's
still
my
my
love,
because
it
enables
so
many
of
the
things
that
I
care
about.
You
know
I
actually
believe
in
this
word
called
collaboration.
I
believe
that
there's
far
less
of
it
in
organizations
than
we
actually
need
in
order
for
those
organizations
to
be
successful.
So
that's
a
big
part
of
why
I
care
about
this
platform.
I've
also
done.
I
have
a
lot
of
history
with
with
knowledge,
management
and
balanced
scorecard,
and
things
like
that.

So
it's
it's
all
about
helping
an
organization
function
at
a
in
a
much
higher
level
than
it
is
at
any
given
time
and
every
organization
can
improve
anyway.
So
I'm
president
of
some
praxis,
consulting
which
I
started
back
in
2008
with
a
buddy
of
mine,
pete
sterpy,
he's
moved
on
to
do
some
other
stuff,
but
I
have
a
great
team.
There
are
six
of
us
and
we
are
focused
pretty
much
entirely
on
the
microsoft
365
stack
and
you
know
we
love.

interesting
because
at
least
to
me,
the
technology
is
a
piece
of
what
we
do
and
then
there's
a
lot
of
you
know
softer
squishy
stuff,
which
people
sort
of
get
confused
by
when
when
they
hire
us,
because
we
start
talking
to
them
about
things
like
well,
how
do
you
communicate
internally
and
and
how
do
you
in?
How
do
you
motivate
people?
What
are
their
incentives,
and
things
like
that,
so
that
you
know
it's
worth
mentioning
that
we're
not
just
technology
people,
though
we
certainly,
we
certainly
do
a
lot
of
technology
work.

I
mean
that's
what
people
tend
to
come
to
us,
for
we
we
build
intranets.
We
we
build
solutions
that
sit
on
top
of
my
of
sharepoint
or
or
teams.
We
configure
the
the
cloud
setup
for
some
of
our
customers.
I
mean,
I
think,
I
think,
between
todd's
todd,
clint's
expertise
in
the
sort
of
administrative
side
to
julie
and
derek's
phenomenal
development
skills.

sort
of
do
everything
on
that
spectrum,
and
then
we've
got
a
lot
of
a
lot
of
interest
in
good
information
architecture.
Good
user
experience.
You
know
you
guys
know
you
build
a
great
technical
solution
and
it's
not
fun
to
use
fun
being
a
little
bit
of
a
fuzzy
word.
But
if
it's
not,
if
it's
not
easier
to
use
than
doing
the
alternative,
people
won't
use
it.
And
so
you
know
we
care
a
lot
about
not
adoption.

and
you
know,
I
always
joke
about
change
because
changes,
no
one
likes
change
unless
they're
doing
it
to
someone
else
and
and
most
technical
efforts
are
viewed
as
well.
But
you
know
it's
an
upgrade.
It's
a
it's
a
new
piece
of
technology.
Of
course
it's
better
like
there's,
there's
there's
not
rarely
enough
discussion
around,
but
what
is
this
going
to
do
to
people?
You
know
how?
How
are
they
going
to
come
out?

know
on
monday,
you'll
have
a
brand
new
blah
blah
blah,
and
then
you
know
people
walk
in
on
monday
and
they
can't
figure
out
what
to
do
with
their
computer.
You
know
it's,
and
so
they
can't
start
their
work,
which
is
really
what
they're
trying
to
do
every
day.
That's
just
their
work
done
and
hopefully
do
a
good
job
at
it.

hit
there

oftentimes
people
try
to
address
that
issue
with
creating
a
focus
group
or
get
people
who
represent
a
bigger
group
and
with
that
they
kind

assumed
that

we
had
the
buy-in
from
the
key
stakeholders
or
whatever.
So
that's
exactly
what
what's
what
people
want
right,
but
they
they
often
forget
the
key
step
of
communicating
the
change,
the
need
of
change,
the
steps,
the
benefits
and
so
forth,
and
so
on.

people
totally
understand
it
and
do
a
good
job
with
it
and
some
people.

think
some
people
just
sort
of
look

mean,

so

I
think
it
really
is
all
over
the

The
best
example
I
have
in
my
past
is
when
I
worked
at
staples,

was
back

the
early
90s

long
time
ago,

we
were
moving

we're
moving
from
a
vax
platform
to
an
as400,
so
you

I'm
dating
myself
big
time,
but

we
had,
we
had
not
not
a
focus
group.
We

were
rewriting

systems

delivery
business.
So
we
didn't
have
a
focus
group.
We
had
a
a
group
of
people
who
met
with
us
on
several
times
a
week
through
the
entire
process,
from
the
call
center
from
the
warehouse
from
you
know
from,
and
you
know
we
had
to
be
physically
in
a
room
back.

there
was
no
other
way
to
do
it
and,
and
we
would
show
them
what
we
were
doing
we
weren't
you
know
like
this
is
what
we've
done
in
the
last
week.
This
is

it's
gone.

end

had

system
that

totally
different

aimed

productive

system
launched

people
who
people
listen
to

by
the
time
that
new
system
launched
everybody
wanted
it,
they
knew

already

going
to
be
better
than

old
one,
because
their
own
people

telling
them
that

now

we
think
about

probably
get

term
of
good
enough

and

the
way
we
transformed
from
90s
to
2020
twenties,
whatever
that's
decade
is
called
to
2020

whatever,

we
more

more

transformed

a
proper
solution,
design,
end-user
studies
and
all
of
that
stuff
in
a
company
level
to
good
enough,

which
is
basically
well
as
long
as
we
have
these
things,

ship
it

them
to
use

it's
good

depends
on

organizations

passion

consistently

waiting

giant
transformation

departments
to
the
good
enough

definition,

need

find
another

people
who
use
systems
understand
when
they
see
something
good

see
something
bad

we
have
the
entire
consumer
world
now

compete
with.

old
days

the
new
accounting
systems
coming
out.
It
doesn't
matter
if
you
like
it,
because
you
have
to
use
it
yeah
and
there
wasn't
anything
to
compare
it
to
well,
it's
not
as
nice
as
this
other
accounting
system
that
I
use
over
here.

groups

facebook
and

the
way
it
works
for
people
to
collaborate
is
really
good
right
and,
and
you
know,
we
we
have
common
interests,
so
people
see
how
how
things
can
go
well,

maybe
those
platforms
aren't

right
ones
to
pick,
but
you
know
they:
they
they
see
things
in
the
consumer
market
and
they.
I
think
that
they
should
expect
things.
You
know,
applications
that
are
as
good
as
as
those
consumer
applications
in
the
workplace,
just
like
the
workplace
ought
to
have
better
bandwidth
than
their
house
yeah.

think
that

this
whole
thing
is

whole
pandemic
has
been
a
transfer
transformational
exercise
from
that
perspective,

organizations

everybody's

that

the
more
uncomfortable
that
the
more
friction
is
involved
in
being
able
to
connect
into
the
corporate
systems,

less
likely
it
is
anyone's
even
going
to
do
it.

back

the

where
sharepoint
ran
primarily
on
premises.

was
in
charge
of
the
update
cycle
and
now
fast
forward

now
we're

majority
of
folks
are
in
the
cloud
updates
take
place
every
week
every
other
week.
There
is
different
degree
of
the
things
we
are
recommended
to
do
with
pages
and
sharepoint.

see
that
affecting
one
the
type
of
apps
you
build

the
kind
of
power
that
your
customers
have

sharepoint
and
they
and
they
see
that
as
a
place
or
to
what
degree
they
look
more
towards

where
they
do

to

us

up
understanding
that

could
build
client-side
applications.

loved
to

arbitrary

just
some

somewhere

we're

sharepoint
online
or
I'm
sorry,
microsoft,
365,
we
have
a
suite
of
products
you're
right,
it's
not
sharepoint.
It's
all.

it's
all

these
things

fit
together

think

the
way
to
solve
any
particular
business
problem
has
always
been.
Let's
see
if
we
can
do
it
with
the
out-of-the-box
capabilities.

start

you're
a
developer,
that

unfortunately
not
what
you
typically
start
with,
but
let's
just
see,
if
there's
a
box,
we
can
tick.

make
this
thing
a
little
bit
better

it
up

always
the
first
check

there's

capabilities

have
been

like
gooey
batter

been

json
formatting

lists
and

some
other

capabilities

where
there's
a
ui
for
some
of
it,

end

writing

it's
again
sort
of
in
that
spectrum

good

consumer
part
of
the
world?
It's

gotten
close
to
that.
But
it's
not!

capabilities
in
the
middle
too,

often
can
get
to
a
really
good
solution
without
writing
any
of
what
we
traditionally

code,

most
people

also
it's

a
more
complex
landscape

might
say
well
we
want

want
a
form
where
we're
going
to
be
able
to

sharepoint

want

create

task
in

has
grown
immensely,

good

build
solutions

tailor-made

may
not
ever
write

might

some
things
that
spectrum

no
code
to

heavy
duty

security
stuff,

people

lock
things
down,
because

users
are
too
dumb
to
ever
understand.

fact

they're
dumb
until
you

them

discussion
with
somebody
on
twitter.

day

we
have
to
take
user
education,

actually
an
interesting

the

protein
of
the
spectrum,

there's

many
products
nowadays
and
there's

many
things

beneficial
for
microsoft,
side
as
well,
but
it's
confusing
for
the

the
customers
and

well
partners
as
well.

you
see
the
partner
play
in
general
in
this?

play

lot
of
things
happening
as
part
of
this
transition.
The
collaboration
has
kind
of
now
moved
from
it
being
being
a
sharepoint
based
more
as
a
team
speech,

now
it's
getting
merged
back
on
being
both
with
the
microsoft
viva.
What's
the
partner
play,
is
there
a
room
for
partners?
Is
there
people
who
is
there
money
to
be
made
in
microsoft,
365.,
and
I
hope
the
answer
is
yes,
because
otherwise
we
will
have
to
cut
this
from
there,
not
just.

thinking
like
if,

you're
looking
into
traditional,
let's
say
collaboration
or
document
management
together
with
customers,
there
was
a
always
a
play
where
a
partner
can
make
money
on
helping
consulting
building
stuff,

putting
bids

business
together,
and
then
customers
were
willing
to
play
and
pay
on.

Is
there
a
still
a
room
for
that
is
interactive.

think

there
are

lot
of

things

enterprises
end
up
doing,
that
they
only
need
to
do
once,
or
they
only
do

few
times

certainly
a
play

external

sharepoint
online

only
going
to
do
that.

time
you
should
hire
somebody
to
do
that
and
that's
not
because
I'm

consultant

just
because
I've
seen
some
of
the
just
ridiculous
work
that
goes
into
doing
it.

you
don't
know
how
to
do
it.

I

think
that
that
us
out
here,
as
as
consultants
or
partners,
whatever
you
want
to
call
us,
can
go
into
organizations
and
and
try
to
work
with
them
and
understand
how
they
work
internally
in
ways
that
microsoft
probably
never
even
wants
to
you
know.
Microsoft
has
its
consulting
services,
and
I
assume
it's
still
out
there
doing
great
things.
I
don't
hear
much
about
mcs
anymore,
but
I
I
think
that
there's
always
going
to
be
a
space
there
for
for
other
parties.

to
always
really
wrangle
me
when
microsoft
would
would
get
on
stage
at
one
of
the
big
conferences
and
say
you
know,
for
every
dollar
you
spend
on
microsoft,
software
there's
ten
dollars
in
you

you

to
spend
with
third
parties.
It's
like
that's.
You
shouldn't
say
that
out
loud.

that's
not
a
good
thing

microsoft

continuing

arc
of
making
the
products
mature
enough

less

need
to

marketplace,

bad

vision

marketing
speak
words.

see
phrases

official
posts

read
them
like
five
times
and
I'm
thinking.
Well,
what
does
this
combination
of
words
actually
mean?
You
know
what
tea
leaves
can
I
can
I
see
in
these
and
very
often
you
can,
and
if
you
think
of
I
mean
I
do
this
for
a
living,
I
watch
what
microsoft
says
for
a
living.

from
a
customer
perspective,
I
think
I
think
it
can
be
really
confusing
when
you
know
you've
got
viva
come
out
of
nowhere
and
and
all
of
a
sudden
it's
the
only
thing
that
matters
when
well,
but
wait
a
minute.
Wasn't
teams
the
only
thing
that
matters
and
well
wait
a
minute?
Wasn't
you
know
this
other
thing?
You

it
was
the
year
of
yammer.

happened
you

there

lot
of
folks
who
are
interested

what

nowadays
the
role
of
an
intranet,
