From YouTube: PnP Shorts - Getting up and running with PnP PowerShell
Description
A PnP Short video explaining how to install PnP PowerShell and start using it. More details on PnP PowerShell from http://aka.ms/sppnp-powershell
A
In
this
short,
video
I
will
explain
to
you
how
to
get
up
and
running
with
PNP
PowerShell.
So
the
first
thing
you
have
to
do
is
to
actually
install
it
and
right
now,
I
will
assume
you're
running
on
Windows
10
and
the
easiest
way
to
install
that
is
effectively
by
opening
windows,
powershell
and
then
entering
the
following
command
installed:
module
the
name,
and
then
you
enter
the
name
of
the
powershell
library
that
you
want
to
install.
A
They
come
in
various
versions,
one
of
them
the
most
common
one
is
for
SharePoint
Online,
but
we
have
versions
for
SharePoint,
2013
and
SharePoint
2016,
but
in
this
case
I
only
stole
the
version
for
SharePoint
Online.
If
this
is
the
first
time
you
will
install
a
module
using
install
module,
you
might
be
getting
the
question
if
you
want
to
install
new,
get
just
confirm
that
question
I
did
it
already
do
in
this
case?
I,
press
ENTER
and
it
will
connect
to
the
internet
right
now,
go
to
the
powershell
gallery.
That
is
www.piofl.com
visit.
A
And
from
this
moment
on,
I
have
an
active
connection
that
I
can
use
the
connection
stays
active
throughout
the
lifetime
of
PowerShell.
So
if
I
close
PowerShell
and
we
open
PowerShell,
you
will
have
to
connect
again
so
now
I
can
say
get
V
and
B
list,
for
instance,
to
show
the
whole
list
of
all
the
lists.
In
my
SharePoint
site
we
have
similar
commanders
for
fields,
males
recommend,
commands
to
create
lists,
create
fields,
add
content,
types,
remove
content,
add
fields
to
come
to
types.
It
said
there
are
over.
A
250
command
is
available
to
get
an
overview
of
all
the
commandments
that
are
available.
I
would
like
to
refer
to
dr.
Microsoft.
Let's
go
here
is
docked
at
Maxwell's
comb.
If
you
go
to
dr.
Marshall
come
/
SharePoint,
you
can
leave
the
language
code
out.
Initially
we
go
to
SharePoint.
You
will
end
up
on
this
landing
page
here
in
the
middle,
you
see
cher
PowerShell
reference
for
SharePoint
click
on
there.
There's
the
Pettus
and
practices
link
and
here's
a
reference
of
all
the
PNP
methods
and
all
the
work
you
do.
A
If
you
want
to
go
and
use
pimpy
PowerShell
to
automate
tasks,
it
is
it's
smart
to
setup,
PowerShell
a
bit
different
and
and
the
way
to
do
that
is
as
follows.
So
if
you
go
to
you
notice
that
when
I
did
a
connect
being
P
online,
that
I
was
prompted
for
a
username
and
a
password,
and
obviously,
when
you
do
automation,
that's
not
really
that
helpful.
A
Now
notice
that
they
don't
add
sites
/
demo1
in
this
case,
you
can
obviously
do
this.
But
if
you
just
leave
that
out,
this
will
act
as
a
wild-card
so
for
every
site,
collection
that
starts
with
HTTP
colon,
slash,
slash
and
then
the
hostname.
It
will
use
these
credentials.
So
if
I
now
enter
my
username
and
my
password.
A
Shepard.Com
stress
sites
demo,
one
presenter
see
there's
no
problem
automatically
connected
if
I
use
connect
to
another
site.
It
will
just
automatically
connect
me
to
the
other
sides,
but
I
was
prompting
me
for
a
username
and
a
password,
and-
and
this
is
ideal
in
in
those
situations
where
you
want
to
write
PowerShell
scripts-
that
run
at
scheduled
intervals,
and
you
don't
want
to
be
prompted
for
a
user
ID
and
a
password.
