A
2017
meeting
of
the
architecture
review
board
the
architecture
review
board
is
a
nine-member
board
appointed
by
the
City
Council
and
serve
on
the
voluntary
basis
without
compensation.
Our
procedure
for
conducting
business.
If
the
petitioner
for
each
item
will
come
up
with
each
item
will
be
asked
to
come
for
state
your
name
for
the
record
and
present
his
or
her
request.
The
boiler
adds
any
questions
they
may
have.
Then
anyone
wishes
to
speak
to
the
proposal
will
be
asked
to
come
forward
and
voice
their
opinions.
A
Each
side
would
have
ten
minutes
to
speak
once
your
request
is
heard
and
the
Board's
decision
is
rendered.
You
may
leave
the
meeting.
However,
if
you
have
any
questions
for
staff,
please
wait
until
after
the
meeting
is
over
to
ask
them
or
you
may
contact
staff
at
the
office
the
following
day,
once
public
testimony
and
discussion
for
particular
item
has
concluded,
the
members
of
the
board
will
deliberate
and
with
Richard
its
decision.
A
A
Petitioners
may
also
appeal
the
Board's
decision
to
the
circuit
court
within
30
days
of
the
meeting
we
have
present.
Today
we
have
six
members
plus
one
coming
in
with
seven
members
present
today.
For
me,
it
takes
five
to
passive
motion
because
of
the
member,
because
the
number
of
board
members,
if
you
like
to
delay
your
quiz,
please
let
us
know
at
the
time
your
request
is
announced
I
like
to
take
this
opportunity
to
introduce
to
you
the
members
of
the
architecture
review
board
coming
for
right
turn:
john
18
mr.
A
John
Folsom,
with
medicated
Williams
to
my
far
left
mr.
berry
penny
from
Willard
Welch
and
Miss
Elizabeth,
Brandt
and
I'm
yours
truly
Walter,
Costa
jr.,
our
planning
control
staff,
call
Richland
Russell
screaming
tongue
in
England,
Robert,
Smith
and
coming
types
of
ginger
right
now
we
do
have
a
forum
for
the
meeting
at
this
time,
I'd
like
to
get
emotional
the
minutes
of
the
last
meeting
today,
then
we
have
a
motion
to
approve
move
to
approve.
A
Okay,
you
have
any
second
okay.
We
have
a
second,
we
have
any
objection,
sort
of
you
have
any
Corrections
or
deletions
all
in
favor,
opposed
into
the
past
past
the
gym
before
we
get
started.
We
have
one
item
that
will
be
removed
from
the
docket
and
that's
number.
Eight
number
eight
will
be
removed
from
the
docket.
So
if
you
have
any
interest
that
is
you
know,
people
don't
like
the
state,
you
can
leave
it
this
month.
Okay,
let's
move
forward
well
back
to
the
old
business.
C
C
C
I
believe
it's
just
the
danger
it
might
not
be,
but
the
we
had
a
contractor
to
come
and
look
at
and
take
pictures.
There's
severe
water
damage
on
the
top.
I
didn't
get
a
chance
to
give
you
those
pictures,
but
I
know
she
said
you
thought,
because
it
it
had
to
be
boards
and
possible
light
that
it
might
have
been
a
door
there,
but
doesn't
seem
to
me
that
there
was
ever
a
door
there,
but
I
guess
it
could
have
been
underneath
the
the
siding.
C
C
C
Mail
that
would
up
just
to
support
it.
The
way
it
was
designed,
it's
just
difficult
to
stop
that
that
leak,
we've
tried
a
number
times,
I
know,
as
you
said,
it
can
be
repaired.
I
guess
anything
to
repair
was
just
heaven
had
been
able
to
get
it
repaired.
Then
professionals
to
come
out
there
and
do
it
and
still
leave.
So
if
you
would
give
us
the
opportunity
to
just
take
this
down
and
and
I
really,
it
will
act
to
the
facade
of
the
facility.
Okay,.
B
Into
it
certainly
a
case
where,
whether
or
not
this
was
original
to
the
property
is
questionable,
I,
don't
think
I've
ever
seen
an
original
and
when
they
cut
the
porter
share.
The
support
me
into
the
head
of
the
wind
and
the
way
this
one
is,
but
it's
been
there
15
years
and
that
day
we're
supposed
to
look
at
the
changes
that
have
been
made
to
the
house
that
are
50
years
of
age
or
older,
and
this
one
is
so
it's
hard
to
say
that
that
that
it
shouldn't
be
retained.
B
D
Good
evening
I'm
brandon
brazil
on
representing
the
garden
district
Preservation
Association.
We
oppose
the
removal
of
a
Porte
cochere,
that's
over
50
years
old.
It
contributes
to
the
house,
it
contributes
to
the
neighborhood
and
it's
part
of
the
contributing
elements
in
our
neighborhood.
So,
while
I
sympathize
with
the.
D
F
Sandra
Nicol,
ni
c
ke,
L
I,
live
in
the
Garden
District,
but
I'd
like
to
speak
to
you
as
a
realtor,
realtor
who's,
blessed
to
own
a
firm
that
sells
a
lot
of
houses
and
locally
designated
historic
districts.
The
integrity
of
those
districts
as
protected
by
the
Historic
Preservation
ordinance
and
enforced
by
you
all,
is
one
of
the
reasons
that
people
choose
to
live
in
these
neighborhoods.
F
One
of
the
promises
we
make,
that
is,
the
city
and
we
Realtors
who
tout
the
benefits
of
living
in
a
locally
designated
historic
district.
One
of
the
promises
we
make
to
people
as
they
choose
to
buy
homes
in
our
neighborhoods
is
that
there
there
will
be
no
inappropriate
changes
made
to
any
of
the
other
houses
in
their
neighborhood
or
any
of
the
other.
F
G
The
support
I,
certainly
empathize
with
you
in
your
situation,
I've
got
a
home
built
in
1928,
had
work
done
on
it.
Two
to
three
years
later
had
to
bring
someone
else
to
repair.
What
was
done
three
years
before
I
am
going
to
move
that
this
crispy
deny
because
I
do
think.
This
is
a
character
defining
feature
of
the
house
based
on
this
age,
whether
it
was
original
or
not.
G
H
A
A
I
I
have
I
have
had
very
poor
response
to
the
outside
color
of
this
house.
I've
looked
in
the
rest
of
the
neighborhood,
and
it
there
are
it's
that
unique
texture.
It's
called
pebble
and
I'm
wanting
to
pressure
wash
and
repaint
the
outside
of
the
house
and
make
it
more
appealing
and
I've
looked
at
some
of
the
other
houses
in
the
neighborhood
that
has
that
kind
of
peach,
pink,
color
and
I've
wanted
to
change
it
to
a
more
pleasing,
color
called
sage
green,
which
I've
used
before
and
I've
gotten
great
response.
I
It's
a
light.
Color
it's
in
the
green
palette
and
it's
I've
looked
at
the
color
chart
and
I
wanted
to
keep
the
body
of
the
house
a
very
nice
light.
Color,
but
I
just
didn't
see
anything
on
the
chart
that
I
thought
would
be
appealing
to
the
house
and
I'm
wanting
to
make
the
house
better
and
where
people
would
respond.
I
People
do
not
like
that
peach,
color,
I've
leased
the
house
for
more
than
I'd,
say
12
years,
and
they
don't
like
the
color,
and
it
makes
it
hard
to
lease
and
I'm
just
wanting
to
change
it
to
something
that
I've
used
before
that's
gotten,
better
response,
better
appeal.
Just
a
nice
sage,
green
color,
the
exterior
trim
and
windows
is
all
white.
I
A
B
J
B
I
B
C
A
D
Did
bring
in
a
picture
of
the
back
of
my
house
that
I
couldn't
get
turned
in
before
if
y'all
wanted
to
look
at
it?
Yes,
no
I,
don't
know,
but
I
mean
that's
basically
cut
and
drop.
I
also
have
one
other
question
for
you,
while
I'm
here
kind
of
a
side
note
I
may
have
to
come
back,
maybe
next
month
to
get
approval
on
this,
but
I
need
to
kind
of
see
what
action
I
need
to
take
and
that's
basically
we're
dealing
with
the
chimneys
on
my
roof.
I.
D
Need
to
try
to
get
some
approval
on
either
removing
them
below
the
deck
level
or
possibly
painting
for
water
water
sealing
purposes.
I've
got
one
chimney.
That's
leaking
inside
and
I've
got
one
that
is
leaking
around.
The
flashing
talk
to
multiple
roofers
and
nobody's
want
to
deal
with
the
flashing
on
it.
Due
to
the
mortar
decomposition.
G
G
Mr.
Miller
of
these
are
these
non-use,
chimneys,
correct,
I
had
one
removed
many
many
years
ago
and
you'll
need
to
follow
another
application
for
that,
but
we
have
approved
non-use,
chimneys
removal,
removals
and
I
had
one
had
to
come
before
this
board
I
think
16
years
ago,
for
this
exact
answer:
okay,.
G
A
We
have
to
come
in
from
the
board
on
the
on
this
previous
on
this
original
request.
In
a
comment
in
the
comments
from
the
board
on
this
wonderful
Tarantino
motion
to
approve
that
the
motion
that's
been
moved
up
in
a
second,
are
there
any
unwritten
is
any
unread
misgiving
conveyed
all
the
favor
that
motion
all
the
poop
out
tenacity.
D
Hey
Chris,
Cooley
speaking
on
behalf
of
all
development.
We
simply
have
a
twin
window.
It's
a
vinyl
replacement
window.
That's
been
replaced
within
the
last
few
years,
along
with
vinyl
siding.
We
will
just
want
to
remove
one
of
the
windows
Center
the
existing
window
and
then
replace
the
siding
around
it
and
you'll
have
to
excuse
the
crude
drawing
that
was
a
nut
on
short
notice.
I,
don't
feel
like
aesthetically,
it's
going
to
affect
anything
that
the
upper
window
was
not
centered
or
in
line
with
any
of
the
lower
windows.
D
Why
are
you
removing
window
we're
going
to
add
square
footage
to
the
upstairs
and
in
order
to
get
that
wall,
where
we
need
it,
the
window
will
have
to
be
centered.
Are
you
creating
a
bedroom?
No
actually
a
closet,
because
if
it
was
a
bedroom,
they
have
certain
criterion
that
yeah
the
fire
rules,
gays,
ma'am.
G
D
A
A
H
Afternoon,
I'm
marvin
campbell.
All
of
you
may
be
familiar
with
the
location
of
Dirk's
fillet
in
vine.
This
is
that
building
the
existing
stucco
facade
is
buckled
and
is
releasing
from
the
building,
be
awning.
The
metal
on
you
except
is
pulling
away
from
the
building.
We've
braced
it
with
four
by
four.
H
H
We
propose
to
remove
that
awning,
it's
not
a
very
attractive
running,
it's
a
and
it's
heavy
and
it's
difficult
to
anchor
it.
We
believe
that
that
what
we
are
proposing
to
do
will
will
be
an
economic
improvement
to
not
only
the
building
but
the
but
the
block
and
we'll
make
the
we'll
make
the
this
property
and
the
adjoining
properties
more
attractive.
H
Was
historically
the
facade
of
the
building,
but
we've
not
been
able
to
find
photographs.
We've
looked
everywhere
for
photographs,
we
can't
find
any,
but
what
what
we?
What
we
think
happened
is
that
at
some
point
someone
decided
to
cover
the
brick
and
stucco
so
we'd
like
to
return
it
to
brick.
If
we
can
and
replace
the
awning
if
the
brick.
If
the
brick
are
not
in
good
condition,
then
we
propose
to
go
back
with
an
office
material
which
is
a
lighter
weight
material
than
stucco
and
will
adhere
more
easily
to
the
brick
and
what
so?
H
What
we
would
ask
the
board
to
do
is
to
approve
the
the
leaving
the
brick
veneer
exposed.
If
the
brick
veneer
looks
good
and
is
a
nice
finished
appearance,
if
not
to
allow
us
to
replace
the
existing
stucco
with
a
knife
as'
surface
that
would
match
the
color
of
the
existing
stucco
and
regardless
of
whether
we
leave
the
brick
or
go
back
with
a
knife
asleep
like
to
replace
the
metal
awning
with
a
canvas
awning
that
matches
the
existing
Onyx.
H
D
K
D
H
H
A
C
A
C
H
A
L
Evening,
ladies
and
gentlemen,
I'm
rich
Anderson,
this
is
a
house
across
the
street
from
our
residents
that
is
being
converted
from
a
xxx
apartment
into
back
into
a
single-family
home.
One
of
the
features
we'd
like
to
add
is
a
retaining
wall
across
the
front
of
the
property
that
would
be
bifurcated
by
the
front
steps
and
the
front
walk.
There
are
a
number
of
other
properties
on
that
street
that
have
similar
retaining
walls
I'm
proposing
to
construct
it
out
of
cinder
block
of
cinder
block
base.
L
L
We,
as
we
say
in
the
application
we
intend
to
make
it
just
about
the
height
of
the
front
steps
with
a
there
would
be
a
slight
pillar.
That
would
be
basically
one
step
higher
out
on
either
side
of
the
steps
with
regard
to
the
driveway.
This
is
something
we've
come
to
you
all
about
previously,
but
this
project
has
ground
on
and
taken
longer
than
we
anticipated.
C
A
L
Very
briefly,
it
is
going
to
be
a
split
driveway.
Currently,
the
two
properties,
as
you
can
see,
they
have
driveways
that
start
on
the
one
hand,
on
25.
It
starts
next
to
the
for
the
residents
and
on
19
it
starts
under
a
porte-cochere
and
they
come
join
into
a
single
driveway.
The
proposal
is
to
split
those
driveways
and
to
straighten
both
of
them
out,
so
a
new
curb
cut
would
go
in
and
you
would
have
two
driveway
and
entrances
one
for
each
house
and.
A
A
D
B
B
D
A
I
A
I
D
A
D
D
E
M
D
A
A
I
A
H
A
H
H
Okay,
I
guess
that's
what
we
had
this
this
wall
would
proceed
up.
The
one
of
the
house
faces
south
that
wall
proceed
up
the
east
passing
line
northward
and
to
the
corner
and
then
proceed
74
feet.
9
inches
westward
along
the
back
popping
line
in
the
in
front
of
a
portion
of
the
wall
as
a
focus
law
that
would
go
in
approximately
here.
That
would
be
opposite
dining
room
and
then
some
steps
for
the
dining
room
over
this
area.
Could
you
move.
D
H
I
H
So
North
is
up,
the
wall
would
come
to
here
and
then
I've
offset
it
where
this
wall
right
here
is
five
feet
away
from
the
pipe
you
move
closer
to.
The
might
sure
I
didn't
want
to
hide
it
with
the
mic,
where
this
wall
is
five
feet
over
from
the
property
line.
This
is
a
focal
wall
from
the
the
dining
room,
looks
out
it
and
then
there's
a
pergola
located
here
with
the
trellis
and
a
patio
under
it,
and
then
the
you
all
proposed
across
the
top.
H
The
if
you've
got
the
perspective
sketch,
because
here
you
can
see
the
out
the
other
whole
thing
that's
together
and
it
would
require
I
met
with
stringer
before
submitting
to
be
sure
that
I
was
in
good
shape
on
the
existing
willow.
Oh
it
would
require
the
removal,
as
you
can
see,
the
pictures
of
some
overgrown,
privet
and
overgrown
privet
and
and
cherry
law
I
would
hope
that
that
would
be
in
the
letter,
personal
one
we
have
discussed
during
our
meeting
mr.
stringer,
and
that
that's
really
that
there
you
go.
H
You
got
what
I
was
after
right
there.
So
could
you
go
back
one
slide,
please
so
this
this
would
give
us
this
this
overall
effect.
This
wall
right
here
in
steps,
are
existing.
As
all
is
this
little
breakwater
here,
the
existing
wall
and
the
the
pilasters
entablature
here
are
existing,
but
the
steps
are
not
steps
right
here.
B
D
H

N
D
A
N
Evening,
I'm
Rani,
vain
Stein
on
behalf
of
Trinity
Presbyterian
Church
and
the
church
is
asking
for
approval
of
a
project
that
would
upgrade
expand
and
add
a
handicap
ramp
to
the
front
plaza
area
in
front
of
the
sanctuary
building
of
our
property,
which
faces
directly
on
Felder
Avenue.
Although
the
address
of
the
churches
on
Hill
Street
everything
we're
talking
about
really
faces
on
Felder
Avenue
part
of
this
plan
involves
replacing
all
of
the
existing
brick
pavers
in
the
in
the
plaza
area.
N
N
So
we
would
be
going
back
with
three
new
trees
in
place
of
the
two
older
trees,
and
these
trees
would
be
very
large,
caliper,
generally
speaking,
trying
to
match
the
existing
newer
tree,
that
is,
on
the
corner
of
Hall,
Street
and
Felder.
That
was
replaced
a
few
years
ago
when
that
other
tree
died
and
the
new
plan
would
kind
of
continue
the
canopy
of
trees
down
Felder
in
a
symmetrical
and
evenly
spaced
pattern.
A
E
Have
the
church,
with
these
trees
ever
since
I've
been
working
in
Montgomery?
Why
hate
to
see
the
big
trees
go,
but
they
are,
it
may
be
time.
5-Inch
caliper
replacement.
Size,
though,
is
impressive.
I
mean
that's
going
to
be
I'm,
satisfied
that
they're
making
a
strong
effort
to
to
keep
the
streetscape
the
same
with
the
size
of
the
replacements
there.
So
thank.
N
D
Yes,
I'm
Melinda
Nord,
with
Montgomery
trees
and
while
Montgomery
trees
is,
is
certainly
opposed
to
the
removal
of
any
large
trees
without
cause.
We
do
recognize
that
these
two
trees
are
towards
the
end
of
their
lifespan,
and
we
do
very
much
like
the
proposed
tree
replacement
plan
with
large-caliber
inch
trees
for
a
consistent
streetscape,
so
montgomery
trees
certainly
supports
this
request,
albeit
with
some
misgivings
in
that
we're
removing
two
large
trees.
If
this
perceived
thank.

Afternoon,
I'm
Emily
flowers,
and
that
is
my
investment
property
and
when
we
bought
it,
I
think
10
12
years
ago.
That
tree
wasn't
as
close
to
the
building
and
looked
very
safe
and
was
I
think
maybe
four
or
five
inches
away.
But
we've
had
some
good
years
of
growth
and
mr.
stringers
familiar
with
this
tree.
We
have
tried
to
keep
it
and
we've
been
Curt,
you
know
we've
nurtured
it
and
it
provides
a
lot
of
shade.
It's
been
a
great
wonderful
little
tree.
Insurance
company
does
not
see
it.
D
N
A
E
D
Melinda
Nord,
with
Montgomery
trees
and
just
to
reiterate,
Montgomery
trees,
is
opposed
to
the
removal
of
large
trees
without
cause.
However,
in
this
instance,
I
think
it's
probably
clear
to
all
of
us
that
this
tree
does
need
to
be
removed,
so
we
would
certainly
support
this
request,
provided
there
is
a
tree
replacement
plan.
A
D
D
A
A
J
Oh
good,
there
are
some
pictures,
so
first
of
all,
I
am
sorry
about
the
trees.
I
had
actually
had
no
idea
that
they
were
in
my
backyard
and
I
had
no
idea
that
they
couldn't
be
cut
down
so
and
I
know
he
was
saying.
I
should
have
known
or
whatever,
but
I
I
really
didn't,
and
so
I'm
sorry
about
that.
I
now
understand
that
was.
That
was
not
something
I
should
have
done.
We
had
cut
down
trees
before
had
never
had
any
issues,
but
that
was
back
when
trees
were
actually
growing
inside
our
house.
J
When
we
first
bought
the
house
and
started
rehabilitating
it
so
I
would
just
nobody
had
ever
really
come
to
us
and
said:
hey,
that's
in
the
backyard,
even
if
it's
there
you
need
to,
and
so
apologize
for
that
for
the
two
trees
that
were
cut
down.
We
did
have
some
concerns
about.
We
had
already
removed
a
lot
of
the
overgrowth
because
the
house
had
been
no
one
had
lived
in
at
first
along.
J
J
Tyson,
one
of
those
either
Sycamore
tulip
poplar
native
oak
at
two
and
a
half
caliper,
and
so
we
do
three
trees
there
and
we're
willing
to
work
with
exactly
that
where
those
need
to
be
on
the
property.
We
you
know,
whatever
you
guys
think
would
be
best.
We
can.
We
can
work
that
out
and
kind
of
figure
that
out.
There
is
still
a
good
good
deal
of
shade:
I,
don't
have
any
I
guess
current
pictures,
but
there's
still
a
good
good
deal
of
shade
and
tree
canopy
there.
J
If
you
look
at
it
and
how,
even
though
we
did
have
some
large
trees,
there
are
still
some
most
of
the
backyard
is
in
shade
most
of
the
day.
Still
so
again,
I
didn't
add
another
thing
to
to
bring
the
pictures
of
that,
but
we
are
willing
to
work
with
whatever
we
need
to
do
as
far
as
replanting
those
trees
and
the
two-and-a-half
caliper
and
yeah.
So
they
make
sorry
guys.
M
We
left
out,
we
did,
we
did
go
ahead
with
went
before
City
Council
and
I've
got
approval
from
mr.
Tyson
the
next
morning
to
go
ahead
with
the
other
four
that
we
you
know
after
we
receive
the
stop
work
order.
We
needed
to
go
ahead
and
do
it
with
all
the
rain.
Although
they
weren't
deemed
an
imminent
danger,
they
were
dangerous
enough
to
us
that
it
was
important
enough
to
do
that,
and
mr.
Tyson
agreed
that
we
could
do
it
based
on
the
agreement
that
you
saw
there.
M
Took
down
six
and
all
two
before
we
got
a
stop-work
order
and
when
we
say
trees
you
can
read
the
type
they
were
really
I,
think
three
or
four
and
mr.
stringer
saw
them
had
were
more
like
bushes,
that
had
grown
into
trees.
So
the
only
two
that
really
you
might
consider
I,
don't
know
the
word
for
it,
but
the
larger
trees.
There
were
only
two
that
the
big
pecan
and
the
very
large
popcorn
tree
is
that
is
that
accurate.
A
E
G
Why
don't?
Why
don't
we
just
kind
of
comb
this
out
a
little
bit?
Let's
go
with
the
violations
first,
which
was
a
hack,
berry
and
a
cherry
oil.
Yes,
we
have
a
photograph
of
I,
guess
the
stump
or
what
remains
of
the
stuff
of
pack
berry
that
appears
to
be
up
against
the
privacy
fence.
Is
that
the
one
that
was
taken
down
in
violation?
Yes,.

Nickel

I'm

I'm
I-
am
a
member
of
another
all-volunteer
board
of
the
city
of
Montgomery
and
I'm
glad
that
we
have
not
been
put
in
the
position
that
I
I
believe
you
all
have
been
put
in.
There
is
a
process
in
place
to
review
the
removal
of
trees
in
locally
designated
historic
districts.
It's
part
of
an
ordinance
that
a
lot
of
us
fought
for
a
long
long
time
to
get
passed.
F
F
The
Historic
Preservation
ordinance
with
the
Architectural
Review
Board
as
the
enforcers
exists
to
protect
our
historic
districts,
both
residential
and
commercial.
If
the
process
is
continually
allowed
to
be
overwritten
sidestepped,
whatever
by
well-intentioned
people
inside
and
outside
of
city
government,
it's
going
to
be
the
ultimate
undoing
of
the
ordinance
and
all
the
good
it
has
done
for
us.
We
ask
that
you
all
do
not
approve
this
granted,
the
trees
are
gone.
F
A
J
Look
again,
I,
understand
and
I
understand
the
issues,
but
trees
were
in
fact
rotten
down
the
middle.
The
pecan
tree
in
the
back
and
look
I
didn't
I
didn't
spend
I.
Don't
I,
wouldn't
intentionally
spend
a
tenth
of
my
yearly
income
that
we
had
saved
up.
To
do
this,
to
hurt
my
property
value
or
to
I
mean
we
want
the
property
to
be
usable.
J
We
wanted
to
be
nice,
we
want
it
to
be
a
good
property
and
again
I
do
apologize
for
the
for
the
two
other
trees,
but
we
really
are
trying
to
invest
in
the
neighborhood.
We
want
to
work
to
replant
trees
once
that
are
not
a
threat
to
to
our
house
and
to
to
our
property.
We've
replaced
our
roof,
a
very
nice
roof.
J
You
know
pulled
out
and
replace
what
we
should
there
and
it
was
being
destroyed
less
than
seven
years
old
and
it's
already
gotten
moss
on
it
and
the
shingles
are
tearing
up,
and
so
we
really
are
trying
to.
We
want
to
help
our
property
value
I'm
not
going
to
spend
that
kind
of
money
to
to
take
away
from
my
property
value,
but
that
you
know
so
again.
J
A
A
G
Don't
get
gone
well,
I
know
it
always
amazes
me
and
confuses
me
actually.
Y'all
are
not
the
first
two
countries
in
violation
and
before
it
I'm,
always
in
a
practice
all
28
years,
and
this
is
almost
as
confusing
as
trying
to
speak
in
court
about
what
can
we
do?
I
mean
you
know
it
can't
make
them
replace
these
trees
that
were
cut
down
just
to
try
to
get
them
to
work
with
mr.
stringer
and
work
on
a
replacement.
M
D
J
J
Than
seven
yeah
and
and
then
we
move,
we
actually
moved
back
into
the
house.
We've
not
been
living
in
the
house
for
a
while.
We
had
renters
who
were
who
were
staying
in
the
house,
and
then
we
moved
back
in
and
realized
what
was
happening
to
the
roof.
We
saved
our
money
because
it
took
quite
a
bit
to
try
to
do
this
and
then
had
it
done.
One
of
the
reasons
we
had
to
get
it
done
quickly
at
that
point
was
once
we've
gotten
all
the
stuff
out
there.
M
D
K
K
Would
be
an
appropriate
number
of
trees
to
be
replaced
after
the
fact
that
these
trees
have
been
cut
down
six
trees,
total
so
I
see
in
the
letter
as
an
agreement
to
replace
three
trees,
but
why
three
trees
and
not
six
trees?
The
trees
are
down
they're,
not
coming
back
so
the
penalty
is
you
have
to
replace
them
with
X
number
of
new
trees
of
a
certain
calorie,
we're
counting
on
you
to
direct
us
in
that
regard
and
how
many
trees
would
be
an
appropriate
penalty.
K
K
E
E
You
can
ask
them
to
agree
to
tweak
their
replacement
proposal,
I,
think
and
if
they're,
if
they
agree-
and
you
agree
that
satisfies
you,
then
you
can
then
vote
to
approve
their
project
as
amended
specify
the
amendment
the
other
option
you
have
because
it's
a
violation,
if
you
deny
the
project
the
violation
remains
and
then
we
get
to
fill
out
an
affidavit
and
presented
to
the
municipal
court
system.
At
that
point,
the
judge
gets
to
handle
it
and
we
dust
our
heads
off.
E
K
G
And
I
was
just
saying
one
of
the
reasons
I
was
asking
about
other
trees
in
the
yard.
I
can
understand,
I
mean
I.
Remember
this
last
when
I
think
every
the
individual.
Just
basically,
if
there
was
a
tree
on
the
property
he
cut
it
down,
he
didn't
care
how
big
or
small
it
was
son.
You
don't
have
to
have
permission
to
cut
a
tree
under
12
inches
in
diameter
disc.
They
just
had
a
bunch
go
through
with
the
chainsaw
and
cut
everything
you
know.
G
E
We're
getting
the
weeds,
oh
and
let
me
point
out
the
third
option
and
I
hate
doing
this
I'm.
So
far,
oh
man,
let.
M
G
I
think
in
a
hike
mr.
stringers
third
option,
if
I'd
honest
with
you
to
in
another
month,
y'all
could
take
photographs
of
the
current
canopy
as
it
stands.
Talk
with
mr.
stringer
and
I'm.
Looking
at
the
lot
your
life
size
understand.
These
are
not
terribly
large
lots.
I
live
in
Cloverdale
out
of
all
of
mine
is
very
much
it's
kind
of
deep,
but
it's
not
very
wide.
I
know
what
you've
been
for.
G
I've
had
to
have
a
couple
of
trees
removed
myself,
so
I
would
I
think
tabling
or
passing
this
to
the
next
meeting,
giving
the
Gavin's
an
opportunity
to
get
some
get
some
good
photographs
of
the
remaining
canopy
of
what
you've
got
discuss
with
mr.
stringer
possible
displacement
trees
and
come
up
with
a
plan
I,
possibly
be
that
three
would
be
good,
maybe
four
and
look
at
some,
maybe
proposed
locations
of
where
you
know.
What
have
you
got
what's
there
and
where
are
you
proposed
to
put
any
nutrients
now.
M
M
D
M
D
A
G
A
G
Going
to
table
any
action
on
the
request.
Okay,
we're
going
to
give
mr.
mrs.
Gavin
an
opportunity
to
submit
additional
pictures
of
the
remaining
canopy.
We
are
going
to
give
them
an
opportunity
to
consult
with
mr.
stringer
concerning
a
plan
might
be
that
three
would
three
trees
would
be
sufficient
and
then
give
them
an
opportunity
to
submit
that
for
consideration
at
the
next
meeting
in
June
and.
A
E
K
K
E
E
Tree
ordinance
covers
trees
owned
by
the
city
street
trees,
trees
in
parks,
the
only
trees
that
the
city
will
remove
or
trees
are
deemed
hazardous.
So
it
doesn't
matter
if
it's
a
very
tree
or
not.
If
it's
a
hazard,
the
city
will
remove
it.
If
it's
not
a
hazard,
the
city
retains
it
the
only
exception
to
this
trees
or
exotic
invasives,
which
is
going
to
be
the
popcorn
tree,
I
Bradford
favorite.
So
you
know
we
don't
look
at
when
we
say
trash
trees,
we're
talking
about
tolerance.
K
We
answer
on
people's
property,
they
come
to
us
to
ask
them
to
be
removed
and
we
have
to
determine
whether
they
can
remove
them
a
lot.
When
so,
is
that
an
all-or-nothing
ordinance
or
what
is
this?
What
is
the
quality?
What
are
the
criteria
for
acceptable
removal
of
trees
from
a
person's
property?
It.
E
Has
to
be
a
hazard
for
one.
Another
criteria
is
in
this,
keep
in
mind:
I'm
dealing
with
street
trees,
so
trees
and
yarns
somebody's
trying
to
put
a
drive
into
their
property,
and
that
can
go
nowhere.
But
through
the
tree
they
have
the
option
to
paying
a
mitigation
rate
based
on
the
size
of
entry
which
allows
the
city
to
purchase
and
replant
in
areas
that
aren't
in
the
way
of
that
driveway
trees
to
account
for
the
amount
of
canopy
that
was
removed
and
that's
a
little
bit
different
than
what
John
does.
