Description
cncf-opentelemetry meeting-2's Personal Meeting Room
A
A
Okay,
I
think
we
can
get
started,
so
I
don't
have
anything
specific
on
the
agenda
to
discuss
today.
If
you
have
anything,
please
add
it
to
the
agenda.
A
A
Okay,
so
I'm
just
gonna
go
through
that.
A
Okay,
so
I
think
so
stop
me
if
you
have
any
comments
on
any
of
these
topics,
so
I'm
just
gonna
go
through
them,
the
things
that
I
know
that
we
have
in
progress
right
now,
so
we
have
the
logs
api
specification.
A
That's
santosh's
pr
and
that's
it's
starting
to
get
approvals,
which
is
great,
and
so
I
think,
there's
a
good
chance.
It's
gonna
get
approved
and
merged
soon
the
there
is
a
corresponding
draft
implementation
in
the
js
sdk
and
which
I
have
been
working
on.
A
So
at
this
point
I'm
just
waiting
for
for
reviews
and
I'm
going
to
bring
it
up
in
in
the
js
this
morning.
Again.
A
The
the
other
thing
that's
in
progress,
which
ram
started,
which
is
the
semantic
convention
stack,
which
is
this
dark,
so
it
should.
This
is
really
oriented
to
with
browser
events
and
different
vendors
have
filled
in
their
what
kind
of
what
type
of
events
and
attributes
on
those
events
they
collect.
A
So
I
think
we
have
a
good
amount
at
this
point
and
I
think
we're
just
waiting
for
ram
to
get
back
to
the
office,
so
we
can
move
forward
with
this
work.
A
The
the
only
thing
that
I,
when
I
wanted
to
say,
is
that
it
would
be.
It
would
be
good
like
if
he
started
a
document
like
this
for
for
mobile
as
well,
and
I
was
wondering
if
you
know,
if
so
that's
something
that
we
might
need
someone
to
to
lead.
D
D
Like
for
from
microsoft,
the
remote
dependency
that
I
added,
that's
the
same
like
if
it's
a
javascript
runtime,
it
doesn't
matter
on
the
you
know
whether
it's
running
in
react,
react
native
whatever
it's
actually
still
the
same
event,
but
yeah
you're
right,
they're,
specifically
focused
on
generic
browser-based
runtimes.
B
Yeah,
so
I
had
some
time
to
work
on
this
last
week
and
I
got
a
work
in
progress.
Pr
up.
It
still
needs
a
lot
of
work,
but
I
did
successfully
get
the
proto
exporter
working
in
the
browser
and
I
was
able
to
test
it
and
it
worked,
which
is
exciting,
so
I
just
have
to
do
a
lot
of
cleaning
up
and
I
need
to
test
whether
I
haven't
affected
anything
else.
B
The
main
thing,
I
think
that
I
I
do
need
to
look
at
before
this
is
fully
ready,
is
like
how
can
the
compression
options
work?
Currently
I
I
have
I
just
kind
of
ignored
that
so
I'm
gonna
keep
looking
at
that,
but
yeah
the
work
in
progress.
Pr
is
up
if
anyone
wants
to
look
at
it
or
contribute
yeah.
Just
let
me
know.
B
Probably
not
yet
I
should.
It
should
be
ready
for
feedback
by
like
next
week.
A
E
Yeah,
so
a
couple
of
weeks
ago
we
did
have
our
android
instrumentation
team
joining
the
call
as
well.
We
had
a
couple
of
internal
discussions
and
the
approach
we're
going
to
probably
take
is
we're
basically
going
to
start
taking
out
parts
of
the
android
library.
E
Let's
basically
start
starting
to
separate
out
the
android
library
into
things
that
are,
I
would
say,
sort
of
generic
hotel
friendly
and
then
some
things
that
are
a
little
bit
more
splunk
specific,
because
of
course
we
had
to
move
forward
with
some
conventions
so
rather
than
sort
of
upstreaming
it
immediately.
E
What
we
were
basically
thinking
was,
we
would
start
sort
of
separating
our
separating
out
the
code
in
such
a
way
that
we
do
have
the
generic
hotel
components
in
a
single
folder
or
a
single
source
folder,
and
then
we
can
push
that
to
hotel.
We
are
happy
to
get
comments.
Our
library
is
completely
open
source.
I
can
post
it
here
if
that
helps,
but
if
there
are
other
vendors
interested
we're
happy
to
collaborate.
E
So
just
for
completeness
here
is
the
library
and
then
I
think
we've
done
the
donation
piece
before
so
we
kind
of
understand
the
mechanics
of
that.
So
we
we'll
speak
to
someone
in
the
tc
to
kick
start
that
donation
as
well.
A
Okay,
the
the
next
thing-
I
guess
that's
as
a
as
a
follow-up
to
the
logs
api
work.
A
There
is
the
I
think
there
is
we
can.
We
could
start
working
on
the
logs
sdk
implementation.
I
did
start
looking
at
that,
but
I
didn't
get
very
far
yet
if
anyone
is
interested
in
this
work
that
will
basically
involve
creating
an
sdk
with
an
exporter
for
for
logs
and
events
in
the
js
js
sdk.
C
We
sorry
hi-
I
am
my
name's
andrew
I'm
here
with
mark
we're
at
shopify
and
we
might
actually
be
interested
in
helping
flesh
that
out
is
there.
How
should
we
best
collaborate
with
you
on
that?
Is
there
an
issue?
We
should
comment
on
sort
of
a
maybe
a
project
board.
Like
you
know,
how
would
you
prefer
us
to
engage
there.
A
Yeah,
so
I
think
I
think
I'm
going
to
create
an
issue
in
the
in
the
js
sdk
repo,
and
then
I
can
perhaps
I
can
I
can.
I
can
share
a
branch
in
my
fork
which
we
can
collaborate
in.
C
Okay,
definitely
I
don't
want
to
make
any
promises
necessarily,
but
it
we
are
starting
to
think
about
this
a
lot
and
we
may
be
able
to
devote
some
time
to
it.
So
I'll
look
out
for
that
issue.
Awesome.
C
Sorry
definitely
last
name
is
hayworth
h-a-y-w-o-r-t-h
on
github,
it's
a
hayworth
a-h-a-y-w-r-t-h.
A
Okay
or
just
just
reach
out
to
me
on
on
github,
on
slack
I
mean,
and
I
can
I
can
share
that
information
with
you.
A
Okay
and
then,
then
a
couple
more
things,
so
we
have
the
the
resource
attributes
otep
is
is
still
out
there.
That
was,
I
think
we
need.
We
need
either
help
from
tc
or
we
need
ted
to
continue
pushing
this
forward,
and
I
think
ted
is
gonna,
be
back
next
month,
so
that
this
this
work
is
blocked
for
now,
for
anyone
who
does
not,
let
me.
A
Okay-
and
the
last
thing
that
I
have
on
the
list,
is
the
js
sandbox
that
nav
is
working
on
and
I
think
it's
still
blocked.
A
D
Probably
just
a
general
comment
that
I
raised
yesterday
about
the
contrib
repo
web
tests.
I
eventually
tracked
that
down
it's
environmental.
So
for
me
I
run
on
windows,
so
it
was
definitely
broken
for
me
because
I
use
a
different
drive
for
my
temp
drive
and
my
source
drive.
I've
got
a
pr
out.
I
haven't
checked
it
this
morning
whether
it's
been
approved
track.
He
just
rolls
back
the
version
of
web
pack
that
it
was
using,
which
was
where
the
issue
was.
D
Some
people
also
get
that
on
on
macs
as
well,
but
the
official
build
was
working.
So
if,
if
you're,
trying
to
run
the
web
test
locally-
and
it's
failing
that,
that's
why
so
that
should
be
fixed
shortly.
A
D
No,
it's
just
control
yeah
contrib
repo.
It
got
raised
to
me
because
someone
was
updating
the
picture,
one
of
the
additional
ones
to
add
some
of
the
the
http
surrounding
conventions.
I
think
it
was
to
the
fetch
and
it
was
failing
for
them
and
they're
running
on
a
mac
and
when
I
dug
into
it,
I
found
this
problem
which
I'd
hit
before
the
normal
workarounds
didn't
work,
so
I
had
to
roll
it
back.
So
it's
just
reverting
a
previous
pr.
A
Okay,
any
other
topics.
