Description
cncf-opentelemetry meeting-2's Personal Meeting Room
A
B
B
So,
let's
like
wait
another
two
more
weeks
to
see
if
there
is
any
hope
from
the
specification,
because
the
reason
is,
if
we
want
to
do
the
prometheus
exporters
table
in
the
next
two
months,
we
should
not
take
the
dotnet
7
dependencies
into
the
main
branch.
We
should
leave
it
in
the
separate
branch.
B
So
let's
keep
it
in
that
separate
branch
for
now
and
assume
that,
like
prometheus,
will
give
a
better
date
in
the
next
and
based
on
that,
we
can
decide
to
do
a
premium
release
followed
by
the
actual
one
point:
four
five
on
number
along
with.7
rupees.
B
That's
the
only
update
or
like
something
which
I
wanted
to
share.
If
you
have
topics
you
can
discuss
now
looks
like
we
have
a
new
member
martin,
like
I
don't
recollect
seeing
you
before.
Maybe
you
can
introduce.
C
Hi,
yes,
very
new,
just
joined
honeycomb
as
devrel
predominantly
focusing
on
net,
so
I
thought
I'd
join
and
see.
What's
going
on
and
see
where
I
can
help
out,
okay
yeah,
so
we
had
a
maintainer
earlier.
B
From
honeycomb,
I
think
his
name
was
my
my
coolant.
A
A
C
Based
in
the
uk
like
me,
which
is
midnight
for
me,
so
this
is
complete,
but
I
thought
I'd
join
to
just
see.
What's
going
on
and
see
whether
it's
worth
me
continuing
to
attend
and
helping
out
so.
B
C
No
so
just
getting
started,
obviously
honeycomb
we're
very
open,
telemetry
focused,
so
I'm
just
looking
for
where
I
can
provide
the
most
benefit
and
obviously
honeycomb
a
lot
willing
to
spend
a
lot
of
my
time
to
help
make
open
telemetry
better.
So
anything
I
can
do
to
to
get
started
on
a
small
way
would
be
great.
Okay,
yeah.
B
So
I
would
suggest
you
like
just
browse
through
the
ripple
like
get
started
yourself
familiarize
with
all
the
usages
and
then
you
can
either
find
yourself
some
issues
which
are
marked
as
good
for
newcomers
or
good
first
issue.
There
are
a
few
issues
tied
with
that,
but
if
you
don't
find
any,
you
can
either
reach
out
to
one
of
the
maintenance
or
you
can
put
it
in
the
slack
window.
I
mean
slack
channel,
so
one
of
us
can
reach
out
and
maybe
help
you
with
get
started.
C
Yeah,
absolutely,
I
will
be
spelunking
around
the
issues
and
what
have
you
I
mean,
I'm
very
familiar
with
open
telemetry
anyway.
I've
been
using
this
for
well
since
open
tracing,
so
yeah
very
familiar
with
the
open
table
and
this
telemetry
stuff
in
general
and
been
following
for
a
while,
but
just
now
getting
the
time
to
actually
spend
some
actual
time
and
provide
some
benefit
to
to
everyone.
So,
okay.
B
So
like
for
a
like
from
a
dotnet
specific
update
that
we
did
like
pricing
ga
like
in
2020
and
we
went
ga
with
matrix
early
this
year
so
logs
we
have
the
integration
with
I
logger.
It's
not
I
mean
the
integration
itself
is
ga,
it's
part
of
the
core
sdk,
but
the
otp
exporter
is
still
like
experimental.
So
I
expect
like
majority
of
the
work
which
happens
in
the
next
few
months,
will
be
on
stabilizing
the
otlb
log
exporter
and
also
for
metrics.
B
We
did
release
the
sdk
and
otlp,
but
we
did
not
release
the
prometheus
as
stable,
so
from
stabilizing
the
matrix
exporter
for
prometheus
would
be
another
priority,
so
these
two
are
the
main
thing
which
we
are
like
trying
to
tackle,
but
from
all
the
other
issues
which
are
like
really
small,
not
not
really
like
a
big
thing
to
be
mentioned,
but
we
also
have
like
the
issue
of
instrumentation.
Libraries
are
not
stable,
but
we
don't
really
have
a
good
eta
because
we
are
basically
blocked
by
the
specification.
B
So
that's
the
quick
summary
of
where
we
are
in
terms
of
progress
and
like
what
are
the
next
things
yeah.
I
learned
like
anything
else
which
you
want
to
add,
or
I
covered
it
already
feel,
free
to
add
or
correct.
A
B
A
For
it's
basically
like
a
google
product
that
basically
was
recently
spun
up,
but
people
are
actively
instrumenting
it
with
open
telemetry,
tooling
from
all
the
languages
and
so
on.
B
Yeah,
so
there
is
like
michael
who
used
to
or
who
is
still
contributing
to
our
dot
net
repo.
He
is
actively
working
on
that
example,
or
demo
application
as
well.
So
at
least
we
are
aware
of
it
like
is
there
anything
in
specific
news
we
want
to
do.
That
part
is
not
yet
clear
yeah.
It
could
be
great
if
you
know
like
what
exactly
they
are
looking
for
from
the
netsig.
I
think
they
already
have
the
dotnet
application
instrumented
with
tracing
already.
B
B
I
did
take
a
q
peek
at
it,
but
I
could
not
get
the
entire
thing
running
locally,
so
I
basically
said:
okay
I'll
come
back
to
it
later,
but
they
do
have
open
elementarybase.net
already.
There.
B
Think
there
were
like
some
windows,
specific
issues,
so
if
you
try
it
from
a
mac
or
linux,
it
should
just
work,
but
there
were
like
some
windows
specific
issue,
at
least
at
that
time,
like
it
was
two
three
weeks
back,
so
maybe
it
got
better
now.
B
Oh
yeah,
anything
else
you
want
to
ask
alan,
like
I
think
we
we
went
through
open
pierce
like
two
weeks
back.
So
probably
it
doesn't
make
sense
to
repeat
that.
Now
we
have
a
very
low
volume,
so
we
should
be
like
just
fine
dealing
with
it
in
the
pr's
anything
anyone
else
wants
to
bring.
If
not,
we
can
let
everyone
go
and
see
you
all
next
week,
all
right,
you,
everyone
good
to
see.
You
martin,
hopefully
see
you
again
in
a
much
friendlier
time
to
you
next
week
you.
C
B
Yes,
so
if
you
go
to
the
repo
or
the
contributing
guide
like
both
of
them
has
linked
to
the
slack
channel
for
portal,
so
it's
I
think
it's
just
hotel
dot
net.
C
Yep
cool:
I
shall
have
a
look
at
that
and
get
myself
acquainted
with
it
and
the
contributing
guides
and
all
that
kind
of
stuff-
that's
probably
going
to
be
this
week
and
then
I'll
see
what
I
can
bring
up
from
the
issues
and
stuff
like
that.
I'd
like
to
get
a
small
little
issue,
just
done
and
dusted,
so
I'm
familiar
with
the
process.
First
before
I
start
tackling
anything
a
little
bit
bigger.
B
Okay,
all
right
yeah!
You
can
end
early,
see
you
all
next
week,
bye-bye
thanks
y'all.
