B
Morning,
good
afternoon,
good
evening,
where
we
are
welcome
to
team
meeting,
52
in
this
meeting
will
be
having
some
questions
from
faculty
will
be
talking
about
new
courses
which
are
in
development
and
which
are
going
to
start
soon,
and
we
have
some
stuff
updates
and
I
think
that
the
most
interesting
part
is
the
stuff
update
on
my
part,
I'm
moving
about,
which
is
the
reason
that
were
all
late.
Oh
sorry,
I'll
make.
Everybody
was
waiting
for
me,
of
course,
to
come
turn
up
because
I
do
those
technical
stuff.
B
C
Well,
first
off
remember
that
you're
not
the
one
who
screwed
up
by
trying
to
have
a
team
meeting
while
they
were
traveling
back
from
Kentucky
on
rural
back
roads
between
new
york
and
and
vermont.
So
these
technical
glitches
happen,
no
big
deal
arm.
C
She
has
left
she's,
leaving
a
plano
for
right
now
because
of
a
new
opportunity
that
she
had
in
the
philippines
with
a
couple
of
her
clients,
and
we
wish
her
the
very
best
we're
gonna
we're
also
going
to
be
opening
up
again,
some
of
our
recruitment
in
terms
of
marketing
and
business
development,
which
won't
go
over
a
little
bit
a
little
bit
later
today
in
the
meeting.
But
we
wish
be
all
the
best
and
thank
her
for
her
work
over
the
past
couple
of
months.
C
D
Yes,
we
got
a
question
about
how
students
might
access
research,
materials,
I
would
imagine,
namely
peer-reviewed
journals
and
the
like,
since
we
aren't
signed
up
for
any
data
as
an
institution.
At
this
time
we
do
list
a
ton
of
excuse
me.
Free
resources
on
the
faculty
orientation
course
they're
more
text
book
based
I
would
call
them
as
companions
to
the
classroom
or
virtual
classroom
they're.
Not
so
much
access
to
things
like
else
salvia
or
elsevier,
I
forget
how
to
pronounce
it
or
JSTOR
or
any
of
those
other
databases
that
kind
of
aggregate
he
reviewed
journals.
D
It
is,
of
course,
something
gained.
Excuse
me
that
we
will
like
to
do,
and
you
know
it's
a
revenue
sort
of
thing
right
now,
but
I
know
Google
Scholar
is
limited
for
free
research
materials.
Students
might
have
the
opportunity
to
go
to
their
local
library,
though,
and
either
request
that
the
library
subscribe
to
these
databases
or
the
library
might
already
be
subscribed,
especially
in
larger
cities,
even
small
towns,
but
definitely
large
cities
up.
D
Faculty
members
are
encouraged
to
establish
relationships
if
possible,
and
it
might
not
always
be
possible,
but
you
don't
know
until
you
ask-
and
you
know
we
experience
that
a
lot
times
to
we.
Sometimes
we
ask
and
it
works,
and
sometimes
we
asking
a
dozen.
So
those
are
the
approaches.
I
would
take
I.
Definitely
rather
I'm
curious
what
you
know
or
have
thoughts
about
for
this.
C
Yeah
right
so
Jerry,
it's
important
to
remember
that
JSTOR
and
some
of
those
academic
journal
subscriptions
are
rather
expensive
in
terms
of
an
institutional
affiliation.
We're
going
to
work
for
that.
But
right
now
we
can't
offer
that
service.
As
Dan
said,
there
is
no
another
website
which
I
would
really
encourage
you
to
take
a
look
at
which
is
academia.edu,
which
is
now
one
of
the
largest
sources:
research
that
you
can
get
academic
research
you
can
get
on
the
internet.
Now
it's
important
to
differentiate
between
research
and
peer-reviewed
journal
articles.
C
The
peer-reviewed
journal
articles
are
controlled
by
a
few
different
companies
that
that
get
their
revenue
through
on
subscription
services
and
charge.
Quite
a
lot
for
that.
Academia.Edu
is
allowing
scholars
to
circumvent
having
their
materials
owned
by
a
publisher,
and
so
you
can
go
on
that
website
and
search
a
particular
topic
and
pull
up
all
kinds
of
different
articles.
C
And
then
what
you're
going
to
need
to
do
is,
of
course,
vet
them
to
see
whether
they
are
good
in
terms
of
your
particular
area
of
expertise,
and
you
can
generally
download
those
free
and
place
them
up
on
your
on
your
course
and
when
a
student
is
doing
research,
so
particular
paper.
We've
got
to
remember
that
most
of
the
people
are
who
are
doing.
Research
for
articles
are
going
to
have
to
draw
on
all
particular
kinds
of
sources,
and
most
of
those
are
going
to
have
to
be
free.
C
Very
few
scholars
have
access
or
some
type
of
institutional
affiliation
which
allows
them
to
get
access
to
those
journal,
articles
so
academia.edu,
but
you
can
always
contact
me.
Oh,
skipper,
deplano,
calm,
because
I'm
really
good
at
finding
sources
for
free
research
in
all
kinds
of
different
subjects.
Just
if
it's
like
to
hardcore
science
or
mathematics
or
engineering
I'll
take
a
pass.
But
if
it's
in
the
social
sciences
and
the
humanities,
I
can
certainly
help
out
with
that
yeah.
B
And
the
same
goes
for
me
as
well:
there
you
can
contact
me
about
the
tighter
than
more
technology
and
I
can
always
find
out,
which
I
cannot
find
that
my
mother
happens
to
welfare.
So
I
can
almost
say
was
I.
Couldn't
ask
her
if
she
knows
if
there's
a
place
where
we
can
download
something
that
is
actually
comes
from
peer-reviewed
journals
from
them
and,
of
course,
for
a
lot
of
the
peer
review
journals.
This
is
they
have
a
six-month
embargo
before
the
before
the
author
can
publish
it
on
his
own
website.
B
So
often
there
was
it
so
often
you'll
find,
if
you
six
months
six
months
ago,
into
period
in
a
journal
you'll
be
able
to
get
it
directly
by
contacting
it's
a
contact,
the
author,
or
going
through
academia.edu
and
contacting
the
author
there
and
asking
for
them
to
upload
the
the
journal
article
for
you
and
they'll
usually
gladly
do
this
for
you.
They
wear
their
old,
very
happy
about
it,
and
there
is
a
possibility.
B
I
know
for
some
portions
of
JSTOR
I
ever
see,
I
don't
have
a
solution,
but
I
know
if
I
am
signed
up
for
JSTOR.
There
are
portions
which
has
to
actually
get
you
can
actually
download
some
of
the
articles,
and
some
of
the
article
that
you're
interested
in
and
for
some
of
the
technical
articles
are
also
a
resources
which
I
can
look
up
for
you.
If
you
have
any
questions
which
are
on
github
or
on
other
places
where
they
actually
list
a
lot
of
these
articles
until
you
wear
the
plate.
B
E
C
B
Oh
and
I'm
sorry
Jerry
just
said,
said
as
well
in
their
comments
that
she
was
it
that
she
has
their
own
page
when
she
applied
told
her
journal
articles
and
publications
from
there,
so
I
think
a
lot
of
her
professionally
such
as
do
this.
They
have
their
a
page,
Thank
You,
Jerry
and.
D
I
think
Rob
I
activity
that
you
slipped
my
mind,
but
it's
of
course
amazing
and
imagine
you
know
as
a
player
nut
grows
and
we
have
scholars
who
have
completed
research
and
published
and
we
could
kind
of
build
our
own
database
for
lack
of
a
better
term
of
open
access
materials
that
allow
students
with
both
inside
the
apply
Now
Network
and
from
outside,
to
to
learn
from
site
all
the
academic
goodies
that
come
from
journal
articles
and
research.
So
just
imagine
how
that
could
play
out
too.
D
So,
if
you're
in
a
plant,
a
faculty
member
and
you
haven't,
set
up
your
academia.edu
profile,
it's
much
like
I,
don't
know
it's
a
little
bit
more
of
a
slimmed
down
version,
but
I
guess
you
could
call
it
like
Facebook
or
LinkedIn
for
academics
who
want
to
post
their
materials
and
it
doesn't
have
to
even
be
published.
It
can
be
a
presentation
you
did.
It
could
be
a
report
that
you
did
maybe
for
extension
or
just
a
social
report
or
any
sort
of
research
that
just
to
increase
the
amount
of
access
to
that
content.
D
C
D
D
If
I
were
looking
and
having
four
different
levels
is
going
to
be
great
for
those
who
need
to
access
this
kind
of
instruction
or
want
access
or
brush
up
on
or
anything
coming
in
at
the
right
level,
we'll
make
it
the
most
efficient
and
effective
method
of
getting
your
courses
complete
and
ready
to
teach.
As
far
as
new
courses,
we
don't
have
any
we
did.
Did
we
introduce
introduction
to
sustainability
last
week,
I'm
pretty
sure
we
did
yeah.
D
Do
it
again?
Well,
it
introduction
to
sustainability
was
approved
last
week.
That
would
be
part
of
our
science
and
sustainability
certificate.
It's
a
course
that
doesn't
necessarily-
or
it
doesn't
at
all
limit
the
term
sustainability
to
kind
of
the
ecological
zone
it
does.
It
covers
economic,
social
sustainability,
business
sustainability,
environmental
sustainability,
sort
of
expands
on
the
realities
that
what
true
sustainability
means
across
our
social,
ecological
and
perhaps
business
skiers.
As
you
know,
in
our
societies
and
economies,
so
very
cool
stuff,
it
integrates
science,
environmental,
science,
ecological
economics.
D
You
know
social
sciences
like
sociology,
maybe
even
some
anthro,
and
so
it's
a
nice
transdisciplinary
approach
to
to
the
topic.
We
also
had
introduction
to
integrated
rural
tourism,
which
we
definitely
introduced
last
week
and
I'll
do
again
here
this
course
would
be
great
for
someone
who
works
in
town
planning,
who's
in
a
Parks
and
Rec
or
tourism
program
as
an
undergrad
or
grad
student,
maybe
perhaps
probably
more-
towards
undergrads,
instant
intro
class,
of
course,
and
yeah.
D
Anybody
working
in
in
kinda
municipalities
who
are
looking
to
understand
aspects
of
tourism
and
what
kind
of
revenues
that
can
help
a
certain
town
or
county
or
area
whatever
generate,
and
what
are
the
pressure
points
and
the
approaches
and
methodologies
behind
those
behind
tourism,
especially
in
the
rural
setting
I?
Imagine
it
would
help
even
someone
working
in
an
urban
setting
to
understand
kind
of
a
cross
Kurt.
You
know
I
feel
like
the
state
of
New.
D
York
is
a
great
example
where
its
biggest
reputations
for
New
York
City,
but
most
of
it
is
a
big
rural
state.
So
understanding
that
kind
of
cross-pollination
and
partnership
that
perhaps
different
sort
of
zones
within
an
area
can
can
utilize
and
understand
each
other
might
strengthen
their
understanding
and
ability
to
draw
tourists
who
are
interested
in
both
opportunities.
So
those
are
available
for
you
to
check
out
on
the
marketplace
at
enrolled
out
of
Plano
calm,
and
we
have
some
proposed
courses
that
will
be
starting
to
be
built
this
week.
D
A
writing
course
that
is
much
like
an
English
101.
It's
an
academic
and
professional
writing
course,
and
then
sort
of
to
piggyback.
On
that,
there's,
a
writing
and
reading
course
to
sort
of
enhance
your
abilities
in
critical
reading
and
understanding
and
as
well
as
writing
and
then
I
was
excited
to
see,
of
course,
in
in
design
and
typography.
D
The
instructor
is
working
on
the
proposal
now,
but
that
is
a
skill
based
course
for
those
who
might
want
to
brush
up
on
Adobe
InDesign,
which
is
great
for
layout
of
any
sort
of
materials,
be
they
online
or
in
print
and
just
I,
I.
Think
understanding
the
adobe
creative
suite
is
a
skill
set
that
gives
you
a
lot
of
leverage
in
the
job
hunt
and
also
allows
you
to
to
kind
of
work
on
your
own
stuff,
a
little
more
fluidly
without
having
to
outsource
it.
B
Of
course,
about
the
whole
Adobe
skills
that
there
are
so
many,
it
was
so
many
tool
external
tools
which
are
based
on
the
the
idea
of
the
adobe
skill
of
the
adobe
suite
so
they're.
So
getting
this
information,
even
if
you
can't
afford
the
huge
the
amount
of
the
matter
is
not
huge,
but
the
amount
that
you
have
to
pay.
There
are
so
many
tools
which
are
based,
which
are
used
the
same
type
of
technique,
so
they
use
the
same
type
of
idea.
B
C
That's
a
really
good
segue
into
the
next
thing
we
can
talk
about
and
also
on
Michael.
Our
mail
also
touch
on
this
is
the
business
development
and
approaching
businesses
work
that
both
Michael
and
I
are
doing
with
a
player
know,
we've
been
talking
with
different
NGOs
and
businesses
and
Vermont
looking
at
Vermont,
where
two
three
of
us
are
based
as
a
laboratory
to
start
working
on
both
recruiting
students,
a
development
of
skill
sets
and
coursework,
and
so
we've
been
talking
with
different
groups
about
their
workforce.
Development
needs
in
Vermont.
C
Customized
courses
to
fit
those
needs
as
part
of
our
outreach
and
our
idea
of
building
a
community,
an
ecosystem
around
education,
so
we've
contacted
at
several.
This
is
a
really
kind
of
exciting
thing.
It
doesn't
at
all
detract
from
our
main
push,
which
is
developing
courses
and
certificates
and
degrees,
but
we
also
really
want
to
recognize
the
fact
that,
in
that
people
need
to
find
jobs
after
they
get
an
education
and
invest
in
their
education.
C
So
by
creating
these
relationships
with
businesses
and
developing
on
these
standards
and
the
way
to
interact
that
we
can
make
a
plano
a
much
more
dynamic
place
for
people,
both
individuals
and
companies
to
come
when
they
need
to
learn
or
need
to
find
people.
Who've
learned
the
skills
that
that
they
find
value.
So
it's
pretty
exciting
Michael.
Do
you
want
to
just
touch
base,
not
necess?
A
A
C
In
sorry,
government
involvement
in
you
know:
workforce
development,
the
competition
is
brutal,
and
so
we
figure,
if
we,
this,
is
going
to
give
us
an
excellent
way
to
see
sort
of
some
of
the
basic
lines
of
how
to
do
this
and
then
how
to
scale
this
on.
In
other
places
on
in
the
world
and
in
the
u.s.
one
of
the
I
think
the
places
it's
doing.
Some
really
interesting
work,
our
company's
teaching
computer
programming
and
science
skills
in
India.
C
Okay,
where
you
sign
up
for
a
course
or
a
certificate,
and
at
the
end
of
it
you
have
a
job
okay,
generally
placed
with
a
particular
company.
You
know
there's
also
the
German
apprenticeship
program,
all
kinds
of
different
things,
and
this
is
sort
of
forcing
us
to
engage
in
in
a
wider
discussion
about
education,
workforce
development
skills
and
how
to
connect
with
businesses
or
help
people
develop
their
own
skills
so
that
they
can
start
their
own
business
too.
So
that's
that
was
all
part
of
these
sort
of
original.
C
On
the
plain
old
plan
we're
focusing
a
little
bit
on
vermont,
because
it's
the
costs
of
entry
for
us
or
rather
low,
I
can
get
in
a
car
and
travel.
You
know
a
little
bit
of
time
and
talk
with
people,
but
we're
using
this
as
it
as
a
lab.
We're
not
going
to
become
a
vermont
focused
company.
Okay,
want
to
make
sure
everybody
understands
that.
C
C
E
So
there's
a
link
and
the
Karl
cast
chat,
and
it
explains
everything
about
you
know.
What
slack
is
you
know
how
you
can
use
it
and
how
you
can
sign
up
and
lets
you
signed
up.
You
know
you
create
a
username
and
then
enter
an
email,
and
then
you
all
suddenly
have
access
to.
You
know
the
general
channel,
which
is
general
faculty
chitchat,
there's
a
place
to
introduce
yourself
and
then
there's
a
random
channel
for
anything
on
your
mind.
E
So
if
you
discover
that
other
faculty
members
have
a
deep
abiding
love
of
you
know
using
social
media
or
ways
outside
of
education,
you
know
talk
about
that
in
the
random
channel
and
if
something
really
pops
up
that
everyone
else
seems
to
want
to
have
a
conversation
about
this
Taking
of
our
channel.
We
can
create
new
channels.
Some
of
us
are
lurking
in
the
faculty
channel
as
well.
So
if
you
have
questions
you
can
peanuts
directly
and
just
go
have
fun
with
it.
B
Yeah
I
think
that's
very
important
if
I
see,
if
I
look
at
the
way,
we're
also
communicating
within
the
company
and
within
a
prono
and
the
way
other
other
organizations
are
communicating
just
to
be
just
being
able
to
shoot
the
breeze,
sometimes
just
to
get
into
contacts.
If
some
you
know
that
we
are
faculty
is
very
extensive,
they're,
very
smartly.
These
are
really
smart
people.
They
can
answer
almost
all
the
questions
you
might
have.
B
They
might
have
extra
information,
such
as
associated
with
one
of
some
of
the
questions
that
we
get
from
the
faculty
sometimes
were
so
what's
the
best
place
to
find
journal
articles
in
this
subjects
or
what's
the
best
place
for
these
all
these
things
in
there.
This
is
a
place
where
we
can
get
all
the
all
the
information
for
the
work,
but
it's
also
place
where
we
can
relax
and
hang
out
in
there
maybe
discuss
slightly
or
what
other
topics
a
real
safe
space
for
richer
for
our
faculty
yeah.
C
And
then
you
know,
as
we
try
to
be
as
transparent
as
possible
and
clearly
the
canvas
we
love
canvas
and
in
structure
of
clearly
those
on
faculty
discussion
boards
really
aren't
as
user
friendly
in
terms
of
creating
interaction,
you
know
they're
a
little
bit
more
formal
slack
I
just
got
introduced
to
it
by
Daniel
and
sujin
two
weeks
ago
and
I'm
still
learning
it.
C
B
Difference
in
no
time
so,
fair
we've
put
the
permissions
of
research
from
admin.
Permissions
as
I
know
that
they're,
basically
we've.
We
thought
we
allow
our
faculty
to
do
anything,
so
you
can
add
channels
create
private
channels.
You
can
do
anything
that
you
need
to
do
to
say
that
you
can
to
get
your
work
done
properly.
C
Yep,
it
doesn't
replace
in
structure,
but
this
is
definitely
something
that
is
much
easier
to
use
and
you
know
it's
got
a
smartphone
application.
It's
excellent
you're
on
mute,
Daniel.
Oh
you.
C
Ok,
I
think
that
is
about
it
for
the
open
meeting.
One
thing,
though,
is
that
if
you're
a
faculty
member
and
you
would
like
to
participate
in
the
open
meaning
like
melissa
Smith
did
la
two
weeks
ago
and
she's
offering
a
course
on
writing
it.
You
should
check
out
and
enroll
in
if
you'd
like
to
participate.
Please
send
us
a
message
and
we'll
include
you
in
the
formal
team
meeting
next
week
or
the
week
after.
Ok,
you
I
think
that's
it
so
see
you
next
week
and
see
you
online
thanks.
All
thanks.
