Thank
You.
Mr.
president,
116

ago
I
took
my
seat
lyst
Council
at
this
youngest
member.
At
the
time
at
age,
34
I've
served
as
counsel
during
the
prime
years
of
my
professional
life
from
age,
34,
250
I'm,
proud
of
what
I've
accomplished
I've
introduced
over
160
bills.
A
Today
this
council
approved
the
last
of
over
wondering
45
bills
that
will
become
law
requiring
economic
disparity
studies
that
led
to
diversity
goals
in
city
contracting,
the
two
participation
rates
for
businesses
owned
by
women
and
people
of
color,
from
single
digits
to
almost
twenty-five
percent,
as
well
as
fair
lending
plans
and
community
investment
goals.
It
took
small
business
lending
and
working
class
neighborhoods
from
less
than
forty
percent
to
around
fifty
five
percent.
A
This

job
creation
that
helped
to
create
thousands
of
jobs,
including
opportunities
for
returning
citizens
and
ex-offenders,
as
well
as
the
CDC
tax
credit
program
in
CDBG
mandate
is
pumped
over
50
million
dollars,
its
community
based
economic
development
and,
of
course,
the
21st
century
Philadelphia
living
wage
and
benefit
standard.
They
took
the
city's
minimum
wage
standard
from
five
dollars
at
fifteen
cents
to
seven
dollars
and
seventy
two
cents
at
ten
dollars
and
eighty
eight
cents,
the
12
hours
and,
more
just
to
name
a
few
things.
A
My
work,
the
legislature
is
now
completely
my
life
work
is
not
the
struggle
for
economic
fairness
continues.
I,
take
this
time
to
thank
both
my
family
and
my
staff,
their
support
of
my
years
lawmaker
I
thank
my
colleagues
past
and
present
for
United
to
support
over
140
bills.
I'll.
Now
let
my
body
of
work
speak
for
itself
with
that
said,
god
bless
his
counsel.
The
god
bless
Philadelphia.
