Whereas,
according
to
Forbes
magazine,
44%
of
Americans,
don't
have
enough
cash
to
cover
at
$400
emergency
43%
of
student
loan.
Borrowers
are
not
making
payments.
38%
of
US
households
have
credit
card
debt
and
33
percent
of
American
adults
have
$0
save
for
retirement
and
whereas
making
sound
financial
decisions
is
key
to
increasing
one's
wealth
and
households.
Making
poor
financial
decisions
experience
more
financial
hardship,
which
creates
a
perpetuating
cycle
that
keeps
communities
impoverished
in
entire
geographic
regions
and.

Now,
therefore,
be
it
resolved
that
the
Council
of
the
city
of
Philadelphia
hereby
proclaims
the
week
of
October
15
2018
Philly
financial
literacy
week,
FURTHER
RESOLVED
and
an
engrossed
copy
of
this
resolution
wiII
be
presented
to
the
peoples,
innovation
movement
as
a
sincere
expression
of
the
council's
of
City
Philadelphia's
gratitude,
admiration
and
recognition.

of
their
economic,
liberating

a
tremendous
committee
that
I
have
aligned
with
myself,
and
this
movement
doesn't
just
end
with
us.

starts
with
all
the
policymakers
to
help
us
continue
this
fight.
As
we
are
hosting
workshops
and
various
council
Ematic
districts
across
the
city
of
Philadelphia.
We
actually
have
a
workshop
tonight
at
all
very
recreational
center
for
homeownership
tomorrow
we
will
be
at
Jardel,
I'm,
sorry
max
Meijer
recreational
center
in
the
Northeast
and
then
on.

Saturday
we'll
have
in
two
workshops,
one
in
the
morning
with
Amber's
magical
savings
box,
which
is
a
interactive
book
that
teaches
young
kids,
how
to
save
and
then
later
on,
at
also
during
that
same
time,
at
Rideau
recreational
center
at
Kauffman
Avenue.
What
we
have
in
the
stock
market,
education
with
former
stockbroker
John
Proctor.
So
we
encouraged
the
city
of
Philadelphia
to
participate
and
