A
Council
president,
the
resolution
honoring
captain
maximilian
clark
gives
me
special
pride
because
I
knew
him
as
a
young
boy
growing
up
in
BER
home
he's
a
fantastic
young
fella.
He
works
hard,
but
he's
also
very,
very
much
part
of
the
Philadelphia
Story.
It
should
really
be
noted
how
important
that
command
is
the
United
States
Navy
has
only
11
United
States
and
aircraft
carriers,
one
of
which
is
the
USS
Nimitz,
but
it's
also
a
story
of
diversity,
inclusion
and
immigrants.
A
A
Maximilian
clark
is
a
graduate
of
northeast
hi.
Philadelphia
should
be
very,
very
proud
that
maximilian
clark
continues
this
very
important
commitment
to
the
navy,
something
this
city
has
had
from
the
very
beginning
when
the
navy
was
born
and
one
other
note.
There
are
two
very
important
German
Americans
who
made
the
victory
in
world
war
two
essential,
Eisenhower
and
Nimitz,
and
having
a
son
of
a
German
immigrant,
take
command
of
the
USS
Nimitz
himself.
Being
a
son
of
Germany
is
something
very,
very
special
indeed
and
I
would
like
mr.
and
mrs.
