B
It
means
a
lot
to
me
to
honor
any
servicemen,
because
this
freedom
isn't
free.
The
taubenberger
finally
knows
that
firsthand
coming
from
Germany
in
the
1930s,
there
was
nothing
said
about
freedom.
No
one
spoke
up.
No
one
could
speak
up
from
fear.
Your
lives,
honoring
and
recognizing
Jim
Donnelly
for
its
service
in
the
United
States
Navy.

Whereas
each
service
person
knows
that
they
risked
their
lives
in
battle
and
in
every
war,
there
are
acts
of
extraordinary
courage
where
an
individual
goes
beyond
what
is
expected
to
avert
conflict,
save
lives
or
otherwise
achieve
a
mission.
The
acts
of
those
individuals
through
feats
of
courage,
nobility
of
purpose
or
life,
risking
situations,
make
them
true
heroes
and
we
proudly
call
Jim
Donnelly
a
hero.
B
One
point
of
personal
privilege:
mr.
Donnelly
was
a
Vietnam
not
once
but
twice
that's
something.
That's
very
important
to
know.
Therefore,
by
virtue
of
this
citation,
the
Council
of
the
city
of
Philadelphia
does
hereby
honor
and
recognize
Jim
Donnelly
for
his
loyal
and
dedicated
service
to
our
country
with
appreciation.
We
extended
Sisir,
respect
and
admiration
of
this
legislative
body.
Mr.
Donnelly,
congratulations.
