From YouTube: Councilmember Parker on Vaccinations 5-20-2021
Description
From the Stated Meeting of Philadelphia City Council held Thursday, May 20, 2021:
Majority Leader Cherelle Parker's (9th District) floor remarks on COVID-19 vaccinations.
A
A
My
appointment
was
for
9
30,
but
I
got
there
a
little
early,
the
process
the
structure
was,
it
was
so
well
organized.
I
didn't
have
to
wait
the
ed
snyder
hockey
foundation
along
with
sunray
pharmacy.
A
You
know
you
have
to
sit
in
the
area
for
15
minutes
and
wait
and
when
she
came
in
she
only
had
one
daughter
and
it
wasn't
her
elder
daughter.
It
was
her
younger
daughter
who,
I
believe
is
about
14.,
and
I
waved
my
hand.
I
said
where,
where
is
my
girl
talking
about
her
other
daughter,
her
old,
her
elder
daughter
decided
that
she
did
not
want
to
be
vaccinated.
A
I
wanted
to
use
this
opportunity
of
mr
president
to
strongly
encourage
philadelphia
to
continue
on
that
trek.
I
mean
I
know
you're
hearing
about
when
philadelphia
will
be
open.
You
know
you
listen
to
dr
fauci
and
talking
about
you
know
the
the
mask,
and
you
know
what
what
will
happen
in
terms
of
processes
and
protocols,
but
now
is
not
the
time
phl
to
let
up
on
that.
So
you
know.
A
Mr
president,
I
know
I,
along
with
all
of
us
here
in
council,
are
going
to
continue,
encouraging
our
constituents
to
get
vaccinated
and,
mr
president
and
all
of
our
colleagues
I
I
always
feel
good
when
I'm
at
our
neighborhood-based
sites,
because,
mr
president,
the
people
when
I
walked
when
I
walked
in
the
people
were
saying
thanks
so
much
that
we
don't
have
to
go
downtown,
they
were
happy
to
like
have
a
spot
in
the
neighborhood.
So
I
want
to
say
thank
you
for
that.
