council
wants
to
increase
help
for
small
business
owners
who
have
seen
more
delivery
service
during
the
pandemic.
A
current
bill
limits
the
maximum
fee
that
third
party
food
delivery
services
like
doordash,
could
charge
to
partner.
Restaurants
council
wants
to
keep
the
15
fee
cap
for
restaurants
that
choose
it,
but
also
wants
to
allow
restaurants
to
opt
out
of
the
cap
to
choose
a
higher
fee
tier
in
return.
Restaurants
could
receive
additional
services
beyond
basic
delivery
and
marketing.

was
amended
in
committee
to
include
the
change
nbc
10
reached
out
to
doordash.
They
said
in
part,
while
we
oppose
any
legislation
that
would
commission
make
commission
caps
like
this
permanent,
given
the
consequences
they
hold
for
merchants
and
consumers,
we
will
work
with
city
council
to
best
support
restaurants
in
their
recovery.
