Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
All
right
the
recording
has
started-
and
this
is
the
july
14th
2020
rook
community
meeting.
We
will
start
as
usual
on
our
milestone,
checkup
the
1.2
release.
We
don't
have
any
plans
for
any
patch
releases
coming
out
of
that
right
now
we
have
been
doing
1.3
patch
releases.
I
think
we
did
a
1.3.7
just
last
week
or
two
weeks
ago
somewhere
recently,
and
we
have
a
1.3.8
release
planned
for
this
week.
A
So
chad
travis,
do
you
want
to
go
ahead
and
give
us
an
update
on
some
of
the
important
issues
that
are
going
into
that
release?
It
looks
like
there's
none
remaining
for
blocking,
though.
B
B
B
C
It's
already
already
back
ported
already
137.
I
think
we
even
waited
till
friday.
I
think
let
me
let
me
quickly
pull
that
out.
Yeah.
A
That's
what
my
memory
is
too,
but
that's.
Okay,
maybe
not.
C
Let
me
just
go
ahead
and
check
if
the
comment
is,
if
the
comment
is
in,
you
know,
if,
if
it's
already
in
the
words
today,
if
it's
already
in
your
release,
branch
or
something.
B
Yeah
or
the
release
notes
should
have
it
actually.
Actually
I
remember
putting
that
in
release
notes.
Now
I
was
just.
Is
there
maybe
there's
another
cassandra
issue
that
was
backported?
My
memory
is
going
anyway.
There
are
several
fixes.
I
just
can't
remember
any
of
them
off
the
hand.
I
don't
think
anywhere
urgent,
but
just
more
goodness
for
stabilization.
A
Yeah,
it
sounds
like
there's
been
because
I
remember
another
cassandra
issue.
I
don't
think
it's
not
included
in
this
release.
I
don't
think,
but
at
least
community
members
bringing
up
some
issues
with
the
cassandra
operator
or
its
implementation.
So
it
seems
like
there
is
some
subtraction
some
usage
for
folks,
depending
on
cassandra
at
least
right.
A
A
All
right
cool,
so
so
everything
seems
to
be
merged.
Nothing
else
blocking,
so
the
patch
release
can
go
out
without
any
further
efforts
on
by
thursday,
trav
travis.
B
Right
another
thought
that
just
occurred
to
me:
if
there's
nothing
urgent
and
I'm
going
to
look
at
what's
been
merged,
I
guess
we
could
consider
even
delaying
it
out
a
bit
longer
if
there's
really
not
as
much
to
merge.
Let
me
okay.
Do
some
research
independently
and
I'll
get
back
to
the
maintainer's
channel.
A
B
B
During
uninstall
there's
and
then
there's
a
code
refactor
that
I'm
working
on
for
cluster
info,
that
would
be
good
to
get
it.
I
think
yeah.
If
we
get
those
in
by
end
of
the
week,
declare
feature
freeze,
then
we
can
stabilize
it
stabilize
a
bit
and
next
week
start
testing
upgrades
and
get
the
blog
ready
and
things
for
our
1.4
release.
B
A
B
I
feel
like
it's
under
control.
There
are
still
some
big
changes
we
need
to
get
in
this
week
to
feel
good
about
feature,
freeze
and
I
think,
later
in
the
week
should
move
and
as
we
get
closer
to
the
1.4
release,
I
want
to
move
things
to
the
blocking
release
column.
So
we
know
what
we're
waiting
on
yeah
yeah
great.
A
A
Yep
ship,
it
all
right
cool.
So
then
that
is
the
milestone
checkup
section
for
1.3,
we'll
look
at
the
board
and
see
if
there
are
any
pressing
issues
that
need
to
go
out
in
a
bi-weekly
packs,
release
and
1.4
we're
trying
to
get
everything
in
that.
We
want
included
in
that
milestone
by
the
end
of
week
for
the
feature
freeze,
okay,
so
we
can
slide
on
down
to
the
community
topics
section
and
for
graduation.
A
The
cscf
did
call
an
official
vote,
so
the
vote
is
now
out
and
folks
are
welcome-
to
add
their
support
in
this
thread
here
on
the
cncf
toc
mailing
list.
The
way
that
works
is
that
only
the
technical
oversight
committee,
the
toc
members,
have
what
they
call
binding
votes.
Those
are
the
votes
that
matter,
but
everyone
else
is
perfectly
welcome
and
allowed
to
do
non-binding
votes,
which
are
considered
just
a
an
expression
of
support.
Let's
say
so.
A
Some
folks
are
weighing
in
to
good
folks
too,
like
alex
kirkhoff
and
ken
owens
recognize.
Their
names
already
are
chiming
in
with
plus
one
non-binding
votes.
So
anyone
is
welcome
to
go.
Do
that
and
I
think
I
only
saw
one
binding
vote
from
jengli
of
alibaba
who
voted
plus
one
for
rook
to
graduate,
so
that
is
good.
That
has
started.
A
We
talked
to
our
cncf
representatives
yesterday
and
there's
not
an
explicit
timeline
for
the
voting
process,
but
the
clc
meets
once
a
week
which
are
once
every
two
weeks.
I
think,
which
kind
of
has
tends
to
kick
thing
and
move
things
along
that
are
in
process.
A
So
I
expect
to
see
more
votes
rolling
in
over
the
next
week
or
two.
One
thing
that's
of
importance
I
just
noticed
is
that
there
are
a
few
comments
on
the
due
diligence
stock.
One
of
them
was
from
kieran
movo,
which
I
think
is
in
maya
data,
which
you
know
has
clarifications
to
add
in
there,
which
is
fine.
A
We
can
totally
do
that
and
I
think
that's
good,
but
just
today
some
comments
from
justin
cormack,
who
is
a
technical
oversight
committee
member,
so
he's
looking
at
this
and
has
some
questions
about
the
due
diligence.
So
I
think
these
ones
we
absolutely
should
follow
up
on
quickly.
I
think
they
were
mostly
around
our
security
issues
and
some
of
our
tracking
for
that
security
audit
in
related
issues.
A
So
I
just
noticed
this
right
before
the
meeting
started,
so
I
haven't
looked
at
it
any
further,
but
this
is
something
we
should
definitely
follow
up
on
travis.
Did
you
already
happen
to
look
at
this.
A
Okay,
yeah
does
our
ftse
member
has
questions,
then
those
are
definitely
high
priority.
It's
just
we've
gone
too
far
to
stumble
at
the
at
this
point:
right:
cool,
okey,
dokey.
That's
that's!
Graduation
update
virtual
kubecon!
I
think
travis,
you
added
this
ruby
alexander
added
this.
If
you
want,
if
you
all
want
to
speak
to
this
or
I'm
happy
too,
either
way,
yeah.
B
Just
an
update
from
our
last
meeting
I
mean
you
and
alexander
are
still
doing
the
intro
for
the
deep
dive
session.
B
Dimitri
didn't
work
out
for
him
to
speak
so
sebastian
and
I
will
be
focusing
the
deep
dive
on
the
cef
operator
and
that's
been
updated
on
the
kubecon
site
and
then
the
last
item
there
project
pavilion.
So
we
need
to
sign
up
for
what
level
of
engagement
we
want
there
and
there
were
three
levels
that
they
were
asking
about.
So
basically
you
can
have
access
to
the
app
where
you
can
chat
and
answer
questions
and
upload
videos
or
share
links.
B
That's
the
first
level.
The
second
level
is,
you
can
host
a
zoom
meeting
to
have
obviously
an
open
conversation
or
some
other
combination
of
project
booth
in
office
hours.
So
I
guess
I
was
wondering
what
what
interests
do.
We
have
to
support
that.
I
was
honestly
thinking
of
the
first
option.
The
chat,
but
maybe
it'd
be
good
to
host
the
zoom
meeting
for
a
one
hour
session
as
well.
A
What
do
you
yeah
yeah?
I
was
thinking
I
like
the
what
chris
was
mentioning
to
us
about
trying
to
use
this
opportunity
as
a
way
to
drive
folks
to
to
our
community
in
a
more
persistent
fashion.
So
I
mean
that
in
one
respect,
that's
kind
of
what
the
intro
talk
is
for,
but
I
think
there's
maybe
also
an
opportunity
to
do
a
little
presentation,
probably
reuse,
the
intro
material.
A
Honestly,
as
I
what
I
see
a
lot,
a
large
overlap
there
being
because
it's
kind
of
the
intent
is
people
wandering
by
the
booth
and
saying
oh,
what
is
rook?
Let
me
learn
more
about
it.
So
maybe
doing
some
of
our
are
we
using
some
of
our
intro
material
and
then
driving
people
to
slack,
or
I
guess
slack's,
probably
the
best
to
you
know,
have
for
more
long-term
relationships
and
get
people
involved
in
the
community.
A
That
way,
I
don't
see
as
quite
as
much
value
honestly
in
like
trying
to
staff
the
booth,
the
entire
time
like
we
have
at
previous
kubecons.
That
just
doesn't
feel
like
the
same
return
on
investment
that
we
you
have
when
you're
in
person
and
you're
on
that
time,
zone
and
you're,
seeing
people
face
to
face
and
you're
having
good
organic
discussions
and
stuff
like
that.
So
I'm
I'm
not
in
the
camp
of
you
know
trying
to
staff
it
full-time
personally.
B
A
Look
yeah.
Let
me
read
what
the
descriptions
of
them
again,
because
I
don't.
I
can't
remember
exactly
what
the
experience
is
like
for
both.
I
would
not
be
against
doing
a
little
zoom
meeting
thing
where
you
know
we're
basically
kind
of
just
giving
the
the
intro
material
and
kind
of
you
know
getting
people
more
familiar
with
the
project
and
just
not
doing
a
new
presentation,
we're
reusing
some
of
our
stuff
from
maybe
our
deep
dive
too.
A
A
Okay,
that's
july.
B
B
C
C
I
just
wanted
to
say
that
jared,
I'm
gonna
look
into
the
presentation
slides
in
it
should
probably
end
of
this
week.
Finally,.
A
Yeah
that
sounds
great
alexander
yeah,
that's
great.
We
could
still
we
can
communicate
on
that.
I
yeah
I'm
not
super
worried
about
that.
Since
then,
you
know
we're
not.
You
know
having
to
author,
like
all
the
entire
presentation
from
scratch,
we're
reusing
some
of
the
san
diego
intro
talk,
so
I'm
not
super
worried
about
it,
but
I
think
probably
one
of
the
bigger
things
I
would
go
ahead.
Alexander.
C
I
just
wanted
to
say
that
I
will
probably
you
know,
pimp
the
slides
a
bit.
You
know
like,
let's,
let's
try
to
improve
what
we
have
and
you
know.
A
C
Obs,
I
can
help
you,
let's
yeah
I
was
just
saying:
contact
was
like
probably
on
a
weekend
or
so
maybe
even
under
a
week.
Let
me
know
cool.
B
C
Yeah
yeah,
it's
for
recording,
sounds
good.
A
C
C
Know
I've
been
working
with
that
well,
a
bit
already.
A
Nice,
okay,
cool
alrighty,
so
yeah,
then
we
can
give
a
quick
update
on
google
summer
of
code.
So
ahmad
is,
I
think,
ahmad's
on
the
call
today
and
he
is
ahead
of
schedule
for
this
summer.
We
just
finished
evaluation
period,
one
which
I
believe
I
assume
you've
seen
the
results
for
that
ahmad
by
now.
So
evaluation
one
is
completed
and
ahmad
do
you
want
to
give
just
give
us
a
quick
update
on
what
you're
working
on
right
now.
D
I
for
nfs.
D
Let's
already
address
it,
I
create
a
specific
service
account
for
nfa
server
and
feel
free
to
take.
Another
look
sounds
good,
yeah
I'll
take
another
book
and
the
other
one
is
about
nfs
professional
issue.
I
will
open
the
full
request
for
design
first,
maybe
tomorrow
I
will
open
the
descent
and
continue
to
working
on
it.
A
A
Yeah,
I
think
that
there's
a
three
there's:
a
evaluation,
one
evaluation,
two
and
then
final
evaluation.
So
I
think
we're
basically
just
past
the
first
third
of
the
summer.
Basically
so
yeah,
I
don't
know
exactly
when
the
final
date
is,
but
we
a
model
will
keep
trucking
for
a
good,
a
good
at
least
another
month
or
month
and
a
half
or
so
right.
A
B
A
Getting
some
good
luck
on
it
this
summer,
cool,
great
stuff,
good,
stuff,
okay
and
then
admission
controllers.
Travis.
Did
you
add
this
topic.
B
B
Okay,
yeah,
so
the-
and
I
guess
I
was
thinking
you
know
or
I'd
like
to
understand
what
it
will
take
to
enable
them
always
or
require
them
to
be
enabled
the
biggest
question
there
is
around
certificates
that
are
necessary.
So
I'd.
You
know,
the
admission
controllers
will
just
be
more
effective
if,
if
we
always
have
them
enabled
so
the
vinit
who's
working
on
the
ceph
at
mission
controller
he's
going
to
he's
investigating
that
question,
but
yeah
mod.
If
you
have
perspective
on
that
too,
we
should
that'd
be
great
to
get
your.
A
Input
travis:
do
we
have
an
issue
to
kind
of
capture
some
of
the
discussion
or
knowledge
on
that
topic,
like
enable
admission
controllers
by
default,
an
investigative
ticket
or
whatever,
and
then
we
can
add
in
comments,
you
know
what
our
findings
or
what
our
understandings
are.
B
As
I
was
saying
that
I
also
was
thinking
oh,
we
should
have
an
issue
attractive,
so
yeah.
I
don't
think
there
is
one
yeah,
so
yeah
I'll
open
an
issue
on
that.
Let
me.
A
Turn
this
on
the
issue,
yeah
that
sounds
great
yeah
feel
free
to
not
to
speak
for
a
mod,
but
you
know
at
mention
him
to
add
a
comment
on
there
too,
with
his
recent
expertise:
cool
cool,
okay.
A
A
All
right,
blaine,
quick
question
for
you:
what
is
on
your
t-shirt
by
the
way
that
that's
not
an
inca
cola
t-shirt?
Is
it?
Is
it
oh
yeah?
Yes,
that
is
awesome.
Did
you
get
that
from
peru
or.
B
Yeah
yeah,
I
got
this
in
like
aguascalientes
like
oh
yeah,
I,
like
the
town.
B
Like
machu
picchu.
A
Right
awesome,
man,
yeah
icacola,
is,
is
delicious
nectar
of
of
the
incan
gods
yeah.
A
I
just
saw
the
top
like
the
little
like
you
know,
the
the
I
don't
know
the
bevel
or
you
know
whatever,
like
the
border
around
it,
and
I
was
like
it
yeah
right
on
all
right
and
then
I
think
that
could
be
the
last
topic
for
the
community
meeting
today
and
then
we
can
adjourn
and
we'll
see.
Everybody
online
sounds
good.
All
right.
