Representative
love.
You
are
recognized.
B
B
We
thank
you,
god
for
watching
over
their
families
as
they
are
away,
and
we
thank
you,
god
for
protecting
us
on
the
highways
as
we
drive
in
bless
us,
oh
god,
as
we
go
to
do
the
work
of
this
this
state
that
our
minds
may
be
focused
that
our
ears
may
be
open.
We
may
find
middle
ground
and
consensus
and
hear
each
other
out.
They
may
work
toward
a
better
solution
that
all
the
people
of
tennessee
may
be
better
off
after
I
we
deliberate
and
come
to
agreement
together.
B
A
A
D
Thank
you,
mr
speaker,
members.
If
I
could
have
your
attention,
we
lost
a
friend,
everybody
in
this
room
lost
a
friend,
but
we
lost
a
great
legislate
tour.
The
pr
my
predecessor
here
in
this
house
for
district
69,
david
shepard,
unfortunately
succumbed
to
cancer
stomach
cancer
over
the
weekend
and
dear
grave
shock
to
our
community,
a
public
servant,
a
humanitarian
and
someone
that
our
community
cannot
soon
replace,
and
so
he
served
in
this
house.
D
I
believe
for
18
years
and
was
just
a
prince
of
a
human
being,
and
so,
if
we
could
just
take
a
moment
of
silence,
remember
his
wife,
martha
survived
him,
and-
and
he
has
several
children
and
grandchildren-
and
I
know
he'll-
be
deeply
misbehaved
by
our
community.
E
Thank
you,
mr
speaker.
I
just
wanted
to
take
this
time
to
take.
If
we
could
have
a
moment
of
silence
for
the
young
man
that
was
killed
on
thursday,
his
name
was
edgar
james
utley
v.
We
know
he
was
known
as
ej.
He
was
a
freshman
at
hillsborough.
High
school
played
varsity
football.
He
was
a
freshman
on
in
playing
on
the
varsity
team
and
he
was
a
victim
of
senseless
gun
violence
and
his
parents
were
both
childhood
friends
of
mine.
F
Mr
speaker,
I'd
like
everyone
to
make,
welcome
and
recognize
to
my
left,
my
assistant,
many
of
you
have
met
her
already
but
taylor.
I
lift
taylor
if
you
would
wade
and
then
we
are
fortunate
to
have
an
intern
vanderbilt
student
ava
pacquiana
is
working
with
us
this
year.
So
if
we'll
give
you
three
times
to
say
your
name
correctly,
but
thank
you.
B
All
right
there
we
go.
Thank
you,
mr
speaker.
I
just
want
to
take
a
moment
to
recognize
the
great
work.
That's
going
on
back
home
in
memphis
in
district
90.
choices,
memphis
opened
up
about
a
few
months
ago,
their
new
state-of-the-art
facility
and
on
reproductive
health,
and
so
about
a
couple
weeks
ago.
They
got
approved
for
birthing
and
on
yesterday
had
their
very
first
birth,
and
so
I
want
to
say
congratulations
to
the
staff
as
well
as
the
mother
and
the
father
of
the
beautiful
baby
girl.
F
G
Thank
you,
mr
speaker.
It
was
a
big
weekend
in
the
small
town
of
englewood
just
a
couple
days
ago
here
for
basketball,
and
so
I
wanted
to
to
congratulate
the
inglewood
lady
rams
for
claiming
the
tms
double
a
sectional
championship.
G
H
Thank
you,
mr
speaker,
mr
speaker
and
members.
Many
of
you
all
know
my
assistant
tiffany
mason.
H
She
lost
her
god
daughter
this
morning
in
a
fatal
car
accident,
and
we
would
like
to
ask
everyone
for
a
moment
of
silence
for
her
family
and
tiffany's
family
as
they
deal
with
this
loss.
I
Thank
you.
Thank
you,
mr
speaker.
First
I
want
to
say
happy
birthday
to
my
wonderful
assistant,
vanessa
horner,
whose
birthday
was
yesterday
happy
birthday
vanessa,
but
secondly,
mr
speaker,
I
just
want
to
take
a
moment.
I
know
we've
already
recognized
dr
state
representative,
david
shepard,
but
I
just
want
to
tell
this
very
quick
story.
Real
quick
about
dr
shepard,
dr
shepard
was
one
of
the
first
people
that
I
met
when
I
got
when
I
actually
got
sworn
in
here,
he's
always
very,
very
kind
for
those
of
you
that
knew
him.
You
knew
he.
I
He
was
very,
very
kind
well
early
on
when
I,
when
I
was
elected,
I
was
driving
back
to
memphis
and
my
truck
broke
down
on
I-40
and
I
didn't
know
what
was
happening
with
the
truck.
So
I
called
I
called
my
assistant
vanessa
and
I
asked
her
who,
whose
district
are
we
in
she
said
where?
Yet
I
said
I
said,
I
think
it
says
dickerson
or
something
like
something
like
dixon
or
something
right
and,
and
she
said,
let
me
find
out
and
she
found
out-
and
it
was
dr
bird.
I
It
was
the
state
representative
shepherds.
I
mean
not
dr
bird
state
representative
shepard's
district,
and
so
I
got
his
cell
phone
number
and
I
called
him
because
I
wanted
to
know
where,
should
I
take
my
truck,
he
told
me
he
said:
hey,
look
if
you
get
off
at
the
very
next.
If
you
get
it
pulled
off
the
next
exit,
there's
a
chevrolet
dealer.
I
know
my
friend
works
in
the
service
department.
I'll
call
them
ahead
of
time.
Let
them
know
that
your
truck
is
coming.
I
He
did
not
have
to
do
that.
I
think
that
I
just,
I
think,
the
reason
I'm
telling
us
telling
everybody
this
story
is
because
god
gives
us
the
power.
God
gives
us
the
gifts
and
the
power
to
bless
other
people,
and
that's
the
only
reason
that
you
have
the
blessings.
The
only
reason
that
he
had
multiple
vehicles
so
that
he
can
bless
others
if
they
needed
to
be
blessed.
I
He
did
not
have
to
do
that,
but
I
never
ever
ever
forgot
that
act
of
kindness
from
dr
state
representative,
david
shepard,
and
I
I
love
him
for
that,
and
I
appreciate
him
for
you
know
for
being
who
he
was.
He
was
a
wonderful
person
for
our
tennessee
legislature
and
and
he
will
be
missed.
Thank
you,
mr
speaker.
J
L
M
Thank
you,
mr
speaker,
I'd
like
to
extend
congratulations
to
tanner
hudson,
who
is
a
constituent
my
district.
He
plays
tight
ends
for
the
tampa
bay
buccaneers
and
is
now
a
super
bowl
champion
ring
holder
and
he's
the
son
of
karen
and
danny
hudson's.
I
hope
you
guys
will
put
your
hands
together
for
tanner
hudson.
Please
thank.
J
Thank
you,
mr
speaker.
Back
around
christmas,
my
mother
got
diagnosed
with
breast
cancer
and
we
were
able
to
go
in
friday
and
have
a
successful
surgery
to
remove
it.
All
the
doctor
said
she
will
not
have
to
have
any
radiation
or
chemotherapy.
J
So
thank
you
so
much
for
all
your
prayers
and
the
kind
words
you've
given
me,
my
mom's
at
home
healing
and
she's
going
to
be
100
here,
maybe
by
it's
mid-summer.
So
thank
you
all
so
much
and
thank
god
for
his
mercy.
N

A

O
A
P
Thank
you
speaker.
After
consultation
with
both
leaders,
I
move
hjr
item
two
to
honor
the
retirement
of
judge
david
bragg
for
all
those
voting
in
the
affirmative
to
be
asked:
additives,
co-prime
sponsors
with
rutherford
county
delegation
being
first.
Thank
you.

Q
Thank
you,
mr
speaker,
this
year
on
february
24th,
which
is
a
wednesday
from
8
30
a.m,
to
10
30
a.m.
I'm
hosting
my
third
annual
capitals
closet
and
if
you
remember
what
this
is,
this
is
a
clothing
drive
getaway
for
our
female
interns.
So
I'm
asking
all
my
ladies
and
gentlemen
with
wives,
daughters
and
family
members.
Please
consider
donating
new
or
gently
used
clothing
to
my
office
or
the
intern
director's
office,
miss
shirley
on
the
eighth
floor
before
february.
Q
22Nd,
again,
we
want
to
make
sure
our
female
entertainers
can
come
dressed,
feeling
powerful,
looking
good,
and
so
I
will
greatly
appreciate
any
donation
of
clothing.
We
need
all
sizes
all
shapes
again.
Our
capitals,
closet
drive
is
going
to
be
wednesday
february
24th
at
8
30
a.m.
So
please
bring
your
clothes
and
items
to
my
office.
Thank
you
all
so
much.
Thank
you,
mr
speaker.
R
I
Thank
you,
mr
speaker,
and
I
want
to
thank
my
colleague,
representative
lamar,
for
what
she's
doing
for
the
female
interns.
That's
a
wonderful
act
of
kindness,
hey
everybody!
Guess
what
ties
for
turns
it's
still
alone,
so
we
need
ties.
It's
going
to
happen
february,
23rd,
favorite,
tuesday,
february
23rd.
So
whatever
day
that
tuesday
is
on
that's
the
date,
tuesday
february
23rd.
So
if
you
have
any
ties
that
you
want
to
donate,
we
did
account.
I
I
think
we
got
about
40
interns
that
are
operating
physically
in
the
house,
and
so
we
want
to
make
sure
that
we
continue
our
tradition
of
delivering
and
ties
for
our
interns
so
that
they
can
have
all
of
the
things
that
they
need
to
be
successful.
Appreciate
you
can
bring
the
ties
to
419
or
you
can
bring
them
right
here
and
leave
them
on
the
desk.
If
you
will
please
bag
them,
please
bag
them
first
and
bring
them.
I
L
Thank
you,
mr
speaker.
The
full
transportation
media
committee
will
meet
at
12
30
on
wednesday
in
hearing
room
one
also,
mr
speaker,
everyone's
invited
to
join
the
weekly
devotional
wednesday
morning
at
7
30
in
hearing
room
3.,
the
guest
speaker
will
be
bobby
stewart
with
faith
for
america
ministries.
Thank
you.
O
Thank
you,
mr
speaker,
members.
Those
who
are
members
of
the
civil
justice
subcommittee
we're
not
going
to
meet
tomorrow
morning.
It's
anticipated,
we'll
start
next
tuesday
at
9am.
Thank
you.
C
A
K
N
All
right
folks
hang
on
for
just
a
second,
and
I
know
normally.
This
is
not
something
you
want
to
pay
attention,
but
today
only
please
pay
attention
to
this
next
part.
Thank
you,
mr
speaker.
Pursuant
to
hjr
number
37,
I
move
that
the
house
stand
in
a
brief
recess
to
join
with
the
senate
and
joint
convention,
at
the
conclusion
of
which
I
move
that
the
house
recess
until
9
00
a.m.
On
wednesday
february
the
10th
2021
and
mr
speaker,
do
we
have
an
announcement
as
to
what
time.
N
5
45.,
mr
speaker,
that's
really
not
going
to
highlight
it
because
I
had
it
wrong
members
be
over
at
the
war
memorial
auditorium
at
5
45
tonight.
My
motion
is
to
recess
until
nine
am
when
nine
a.m
on
wednesday
february
the
10th,
but
we
all
have
something
to
go
to
in
20
minutes.
Thank
you,
mr
speaker.
Without.
