From YouTube: In Memory of Ron Lollar
Description
A tribute to the late Representative Ron Lollar, State Representative of District 99 from 2006 to 2018.
A
I
remember
six
years
ago,
when
I
got
elected,
I
was
very
fortunate
to
be
seated
on
the
house
floor
in
the
back
row
right
beside
ron,
lawler
and
he
same
aged
me,
and
it
was
refreshing
because
we're
both
kind
of
crusty
he
was
crustier
than
I
am,
but
he
led
me
through
several
learning
sessions
and
learning
curves.

One
of
my
fondest
memories
of
representative
ron
lawler,
I
was
carrying
a
bill
in
the
session
just
before
he
passed
away
and
was
a
bill.
I
was
trying
to
convince
ron
to
vote,
for.
I
would
tell
him
about
the
bill
and
he
would
always
say
dan.
I
don't
understand
your
bill,
so
I
can't
vote
for
it.
This
went
on
for
several
days.

I'm
honored
to
have
the
opportunity
to
talk
about
my
good
friend,
the
late
ron
lawler.
I
miss
ron
so
much.
We
had
coffee
together.
Every
morning
before
session,
we
were
usually
the
first
two
in
the
legislative
plaza,
we're
part
of
our
coffee
group,
that
included
representatives,
senators
and
lobbyists
and
other
friends
now
ron,
and
I
would
always
go
back
and
forth
between
the
army
and
the
marine
which
was
best,
but
we
always
came
to
one
conclusion.
We
were
always
better
than
the
air
force
and
the
navy.
I
miss
ron.

His
legacy
will
be
around
for
years
to
come.
There'll
be
folks
telling
stories
about
him
for
years
to
come
and
we
will
love
and
respect
him
and
use
him
as
a
model
of
just
what
a
good
man
is,
but
also
what
a
man
is
flawed,
failures,
mistakes
or
whatever
that
we
all
make
in
our
lives,
but
at
the
end
of
the
day,
a
man,
a
man
that
you
can
respect
a
man's
man.
That's
who
representative
lawler
was-
and
I
hope
his
memory
lasts
for
many
years
to
come.
