Usually, there's an arrangement where, where we we used to rely on staff and their professional advice on whether a stop sign was merited or not, there used to be, they used to be standards that we used to apply it apparently not missing from stance. I think that we should take the time necessary to look at where those stop signs go. What what what I've always been told is you put in a stop sign when it's not necessary, you create a safety issue, I, don't to create a safety issue.

People think that putting stop signs everywhere actually makes things safer. That's not always the case. We've had this discussion over and over and over again, and that's why I think in this arrangement. I'm gonna vote against this. I'll just simply say we're just showing respect for the local community by having city staff or the clerk poll eligible householders on Qinghai Avenue, to see whether there was in fact support or for traffic calming along King high. It represents a cut through route off Wilson Avenue, which is increasingly congested with fatalities along Wilson between Bathurst and Wilson Heights.

This community is particularly concerned about people who cutting up their street, particularly northbound, avoiding Wilson Avenue, and they are seeking some guidance from staff on on how to reduce the traffic and reduce the risk of injuries and deaths to their families.
