The City is working on a project to evaluate streetlighting conditions throughout Albany to inform any future systematic improvements. To hear from the community, the City hosted this City Streetlighting Workshop on Tuesday, September 19th 2023 from 6-9pm at the Albany Senior Center .

Community members were provided information on the different aspects of public lighting and visit real sites nearby to evaluate some of Albany's streetlights in-person.

For more information, please contact JCirelli@albanyca.org

You can still add your input to the Citywide streelighting evaluation.

https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/753a4397ea5644ebafd24e2ace262085

Do you want to provide your opinion about streetlighting in Albany now?
Participate in the online City Streetlighting Evaluation Survey. Information gathered will be used to supplement detailed technical assessments performed by the City’s experienced consultant at the same locations. This will help inform future proposed lighting guidelines and potential improvements for the City’s streetlighting system.

This capital improvement project (CIP No. 25008) is funded by Alameda County Transportation Commission Measure B Local Streets & Roads pass-through tax revenues.
