Teachers
we
do
what
we
love
and
we
don't
expect
the
recognition
for
it,
but
it's
very
nice
and
I
am
blessed
to
work
in
such
a
great
school,
with
great
kids
and
great
families,
great
colleagues,
that
were
a
team
and
we
really
work
together.
So
this
is
all
a
team
effort
really
and
I'm
very
humbled.

K
Gotten
the
chance
to
meet
so
many
medical
professionals
and
really
see
what
it's
like
to
work
in
a
hospital
and
going
forward.
I,
know
now
kind
of
more.
What
I
want
to
do
with
my
life.
I
know
that
maybe
the
clinic
life
isn't
for
me,
but
I
know
that
I
really
do
enjoy
working
in
healthcare
and
that
I
would
like
to
pursue
that
in
the
future.
The.
L
Medical
experience
has
been
amazing.
Some
of
the
things
that
were
able
to
some
of
the
things
were
able
to
do
you
don't
really
see
until
you're,
at
least,
and
maybe
in
college,
but
definitely
at
in
medical
school,
so
these
cadaver
lab,
so
we
do
with
different
fellow
surgeons
and
different
medical
professionals
are
really
an
amazing
experience
at.
B
The
workshop
the
students
performed
a
variety
of
activities
in
support
of
national
international
teams
of
doctors,
learning
and
practicing
new
surgical
procedures.
Also
South
River
High
students,
Megan

KY
and
Miranda
Forbes
were
honored
with
a
one-thousand-dollar
cash
award
from
the
Society
of
American,
gastrointestinal
and
endoscopic
surgeons
for
their
video
public
service
announcement,
encouraging
doctors
to
take
online
courses
from
the
sales
center
for
surgical
recertification,
the.
M
Process
was
extremely
fast.
This
was
our
first
video
making
experience,
so
we
had
to
learn
quickly
how
to
write
a
script,
how
to
develop
the
concept,
and
then
we
had
to
learn
how
to
fill
me
up
to
learn
how
to
use
the
camera
even
and
I
edited
the
full
video
and
that
took
hours,
but
it
was
such
a
fun
process.
We
did
this
in
under
a.

O
Future
the
state's
economy
is
dependent
upon
merging
technology
with
create.
This
is
the
creative
component,
and
these
young
artists
are
so
talented.
I
believe
that
they'll
be
called
on
in
the
future
economy
of
the
state
to
be
full-fledged
participants.
They
could
be
artists
in
and
of
themselves,
but
I
think
they'll
be
major
players
in
the
economy.
So
it's
a
recognition
of
their
talent.
It's.
P
B
On
the
notion
that
thriving
economic
growth
and
bustling
arts
and
culture
are
often
intertwined,
the
Comptroller
presented
the
awards
to
chavela
Bell
of
glen
burnie
high
school,
be
divining
of
Severn,
River
middle
school
and
Gannon
cope
of
broadneck
elementary
school
to
celebrate
Maryland's
achievements
and
innovations
through
the
Arts.
During
the
ceremony,
the
comptroller
discussed
the
importance
of
arts
education.
Well,
it.
R
N
Workshop,
we
have
a
high
school
student,
a
middle
school
student
and
an
elementary
school
student,
all
working
together
on
the
same
project
so
like
that
that
rich
vertical
teaming,
so
that
the
that
allows
the
high
school
kids
to
show
that
they
actually
have
learned
some
German
and
then
the
younger
kids,
like
that
they
can
understand
it.
They
can
be
successful
in
speaking
German
to
this.
T
Kind
of
combination
of
two
different
fields
of
stem
and
then
also
German,
it's
pretty
amazing
I
mean
I've,
never
seen
anything
like
it
and
it
really
is
crossing
boundaries
in
science
because
it
in
science.
You
have
to
be
able
to
communicate
with
your
peers
and
German
is
really
opening
that
possibility
and
when
you
have
that
possibility
of
communicating
with
your
peers
more
effectively
and
talking
to
more
people
about
your
signs.
That's
when
true
innovation
happens.
The.
B
Event
was
a
successful
collaboration
between
overlooked
elementary
school
lindale
middle
school,
north
county
high
school,
the
johns
hopkins
university
and
the
vaulty
german
language
village,
the
vaulty

village,
annually

to
north

high

students
scholarships
to
study
german
in
the
summer.
We.
A
Partner
with
schools
to
tell
people
about
the
program
have
kids
come
join
us
in
the
summer.
It's
a
way
to
enhance
their
german
beyond
the
school
learning
for
kids,
who
don't
take
german
at
school.
It's
a
way
to
learn
in
the
summer
and
we're
really
pleased
to
offer
two
scholarships
to
north
county
high
school
and
the
stem
program
here,
combined
with
german
to
our
stem
german
immersion
program.
A
So
high
school
kids
come
from
around
the
country
and
in
four
weeks
at
our
program
they
get
the
equivalent
of
years
worth
of
german
and
it's
all
using
stem
skills,
so
science
hands
on
science,
project
engineering,
technology
math
the
way
the
Germans
speak,
math
and
it
by
four
weeks
in
our
program
is
a
whole
years
worth
of
German.
When.

B
The
weight
of
the
heroin
epidemic
affecting
our
community,
nearly
800
teens
from
eight
County
high
schools,
were
recently
inspired
by
former
National
Basketball
Association
player,
Chris
Herren,
who
spoke
about
his
life,
his
career
and
then
damage
done
by
his
own
addiction
to
alcohol
and
drugs,
including
heroin.
Try.
U
V
Like
drugs
are
like
a
problem
everywhere
around
the
like
in
the
country
and
some
other
places,
because
people
get
hooked
on
to
it
and
they
can
really
lives
like
the
story
about
to
listen
to
he
ruined
his
life.
He
is
going
he's,
gonna,
be
a
big
man,
and
now
he's
now
he's
back
in
like
on
the
bottom,
because
of
a
drug
through.
W
X
U
Final
moment,
my
last
day
that
that
I
used,
someone
told
me
to
play
dad.
You
know
they
said
I
should
walk
away
from
my
kids
and
and
pretend
that
that
I
had
died.
So
so
they
could
live.
Sacrifice
myself,
but
you
know
rock
bottom
is:
is
it
can
be
at
any
time
and
I
wish
I
didn't
wait
so
long
before
before
I
recognize
that
the.

All.
Y
Of
us,
as
taxpayers,
have
an
educational
and
a
financial,
obviously
a
moral
responsibility
to
make
sure
our
dollars
in
making
a
difference.
Are
we
closing
achievement
gaps
or
are
we
not?
Are
we
raising
the
bar?
Are
we
not
are
less
students
needing
remedial
classes?
Are
they
not?
If
we
can't
answer
those
questions,
if
it
just
sort
of
left
to
to
you
know,
goodwill
or
our
hope,
I
think
our
kids
aren't
country
deserves
something
better
than
that,
while.
