A
Good
afternoon
everybody
thank
you
for
being
here.
We
are
here
to
talk
about
hands
to
hearts,
which
is
in
Arlington
County
initiative
between
the
hospital
Virginia,
Hospital
Center
and
our
partners
at
Arlington,
County,
Fire
and
EMS.
We
are
here
also
for
a
more
important
reason,
because
hands
to
heart
saves
lives
and
we
have
a
hands
to
heart
story
for
everyone
today
and
Ben
is
here
with
us
because
of
hands
to
hearts
and
bystander
CPR.
So
it
started.
B
Out
it
was
a
Friday,
it
was
a
typical
school
day.
My
son
got
up,
he
made
himself
some
breakfast,
he
went
off
to
school
and
then
about
a
half
an
hour
later,
I
get
a
call
from
the
school.
That
said,
you
know
your
son
has
collapsed.
We
think
he
has
had
had
a
seizure.
You
need
to
get
to
the
hospital
immediately
and
as.
B
C
B
C
Then
it's
an
effort
to
get
the
community
to
be
able
to
recognize
cardiac
arrests,
call
for
help
and
start
compressing
the
chest
or
caught
the
three
C's
so
check
for
responsiveness
if
they're
unresponsive
not
breathing,
normally
or
not.
Breathing,
you
want
to
call
for
help
when
I,
when
one
sense,
I'm
ready
to
get
an
AED
and
the
third
see
is
compressed
the
chassis,
which
is
just
fans
only
compressions,
no
ventilations
or
rescue
breathing
is
required.
It's
very
simple.
