From YouTube: Ask Jim Smith
Description
This is a show where individuals have their mailed in questions answered by County Executive Jim Smith.
A
Welcome
to
another
edition
of
ask
jim
smith.
Our
first
question
today
comes
from
glenn
and
dundalk.
Glenn
wants
to
know.
Is
there
anything
that
the
county
can
do
with
private
apartment
complexes
to
have
them
repair
sidewalks
that
are
in
need
of
repair
glenn?
I
talked
to
tim
katroka
and
mike
mohler,
both
of
our
department
of
permits
and
development
management,
and
they
say
under
the
livability
code,
the
county
does
have
inspectors
who
inspect
sidewalks
at
apartment
complexes
to
make
certain
that
they're
safe
the
site
that
you
specifically
made
reference
to.
A
I
mentioned
that
particular
site
and
they're
going
to
go
out
and
inspect
that
site
and
then
work
with
the
apartment
owner
to
have
that
site
repaired.
Thank
you
for
your
question.
Our
next
question
comes
from
fred
from
freeland
fred
has
a
muffler
he's
been
trying
to
get
rid
of,
and
the
trash
haulers
won't
pick
it
up.
Fred,
you're
right
the
trash
haulers
don't
pick
up
auto
parts
and
mufflers,
because
actually
it
will
disrupt
our
compaction
equipment.
A
However,
we
do
have
a
way
that
you
can
get
rid
of
those
you
can
drop
them
off
at
any
one
of
our
drop-off
sites.
There's
one
in
cockeysville
there's
one
in
lansdowne
and
there's
one
in
essex.
If
you
need
specific
information
as
to
the
locations
of
those
drop-off
sites,
you
can
call
410-887-2000
or
go
online
www.baltimore.
A
Thank
you
for
your
question
and
I
hope
you
take
the
advice
and
get
rid
of
your
muffler.
Our
last
question
comes
from
john
and
hailthorpe
john
is
concerned
about
a
main
road
that
runs
through
his
community.
That
has
a
lot
of
curves
and
he's
seen
an
awful
lot
of
cars
crossed
over
the
double
yellow
line.
He
thinks
it's
a
safety
hazard,
and
certainly
it
is
a
safety
hazard
when
you
cross
the
double
yellow
line
and
he's
asked,
isn't
there
anything
that
can
be
done?
A
Thank
you
for
your
question
and
thank
you
for
your
concern
about
public
safety.
Well,
that
will
conclude
another
edition
of
ask
jim
smith.

everybody

very
happy
and

the

you
