Okay,
I'm
asking
the
fee
right.
Now
is
five
dollars
a
day
for
adults
and
I
think
it's
72
for
the
season
pass.
So
I'm
asking
for
a
daily
fee
for
three
dollars
and
a
season
pass

for
how
many
senior
citizens
60
and
older
the
resources
for
senior
citizens
in
our
town
is
kind
of
slim
there's
a
ymca
which
is
indoors
not
outdoors,
and
you
still
have
to
belong
the
state
park.

lot
of
seniors
have
a
hard
time
getting
to
the
state
park
and,
frankly,
the
water
quality
is
not
good.
I
wouldn't
recommend
that
there
used
to
be
school
pools,
but
I'm
not
sure
where
that
is
where
that
stands
right.
Now:
okay,
the
benefits
of
open-ear
swim
for
senior
citizens,
physical
there's,
several
chronic
illnesses,
diabetes,
blood
pressure,
etc.

That
a
senior
citizen
would
benefit
from
fresh
air
and
from
the
pool
mental
emotional
for
our
high
rises
in
town.
I
looked
it
up
and
there
are
over
500
apartments
and
they're.
As
far
as
I
know,
they're
all
owned
or
rented
by
a
single
senior
and
they're
very
isolated.
They
have
been
isolated
and
they
live
alone.
So
this
would
help
them
get
out
around
families
in
a
more
natural
environment
and
be
able
to
either
bring
their
friends
or
at
least
have
just
access
to
fresh
water
and
swimming,
and
that
kind
of
thing,
social.

It's
a
positive,
safe
place
for
the
senior
citizens
to
go
and
enjoy
with
their
friends.
So
I
see
everything
good
about
the
pool
for
senior
citizens.
However,
not
unlike
myself,
senior
citizens
are
usually
for
the
most
part
on
a
fixed
income.
They
either
barely
make
their
living
expenses
or
they're,
not
making
their
living
expenses
due
to
social
security
and
their
financial
situation.

So
that's
why
I'm
asking
for
three
dollars
for
the
daily,
and
I
think
that's
about
it
other
than
I
think
that
senior
citizens
would
still
enjoy
contributing
to
the
fee
for
the
pool
and
the
you
know
the
working
of
the
pool
and
stuff
like
that.
They
just
can't
quite
afford
that
much
and
I'd
like
to
see
more
seniors
being
able
to
use
that
facility.

bet
the
rest

would
be
happy
to
pick
up

extra
two
dollars
throughout
the

somebody

can't
see
it
being
significant.

if
you
keep
track

it,
we'll
somehow
come
up
with
the
difference.

many
individuals
over
60
has
used
the
pool,
but
you
know
kim,
probably
has
a
lot
of
pop
and
bear
cans
that
he
can
cash
in,
and
I
certainly
have
my
my
source
of
pop
cans
from
work
that
I
would
more
than
happy
to
offset
that
two
dollars
with
kim
and
whoever
else
would
like
to
do
for
the
remainder
of
this
year
and
then
we'll
look
at
for
next
year.

Our
retired
population
has
played
by
the
rules,
worked
hard
paid,
their
taxes
all
their
life
and
when
they
go
on
to
a
fixed
income,
it
certainly
would
be
nice
if
they
could
get
a
little
reduced
rate
for,
and
I
can't
imagine
that
it
would
be
a
significant
cost
to
us
to
the
to
the
community
center
in
terms
of
number
of
people
who
would
avail
themselves
of
that.
But
we'll
also
have
a
healthier
population,
because
swimming
is
a
pretty
vigorous
form
of
exercise,
even
if
you're,
just
and
if
you're
not
swimming
fast.

like

comment.
I

an

people

whom
have

stuck
indoors

role
there

supervisor

school,
home

community
partnerships,
and
I
also
am

tonight

great
start
to
quality
resource
center,
who
kind
of
implements
all
the
child
care
initiatives
for
the
region,
colleague
of
mine
at
bayern
isd,
gretchen

raven,
as
well
as
wagner
and
tiffany
and
pam,
who
are
directors
over
at
the
montessori
house.

reason
why
I
think
it
was
important
to
start
off
that
way
is.
This
is
a
community
collaboration
project.
This
doesn't
happen
in
isolation
from
other
community
partners.
No
one
community
agency
can
pull
something
like
this
off
by
itself.
Moreover,
I
do
want
to
thank
for
the
invitation,
I'm
actually.
I
actually
live
in
hampton
township,
so
I
live
in
the
seventh
district.
That's
jamie's
district
and
our
girls
have
played
some
soccer
together
in
the
past,
and
so
it's
true
I
wanna
again
thank
you
for
that
invitation.

So
we
have
kind
of
a
crisis
when
it
comes
to
the
workforce.
It's
hard
for
employees
right
now
across
lakes
bay
region
across
bay
county,
to
find
adequate
employees
to
find
enough
staff
and
staffing
is
a
huge
challenge.
It's
pervasive
across
not
just
our
county
across
the
state
across
the
country,
one
of
the
biggest
barriers
for
folks
to
return
back
to
work
after
the
pandemic
is
child
care.
It
represents
a
tremendous
barrier
even
prior
to
the
pandemic.

Really
child
care
up
was
one
of
us,
one
of
the
most
significant
barriers
to
to
employment.
So
this
project
really
does
you
know?
One
of
the
primary
outcomes
of
this
project
is
to
try
to
mitigate
some
of
the
lack
of
child
care
issues
in
our
county
to
help
get
the
workforce
back
employed,
get
them
back
to
work,
so
our
employers
and
our
businesses
can
thrive
in
the
future.

I
will
say
that
this
project,
the
discussion
started
prior
to
kova,
and
it
started
back
in
2018.
I
just
had
a
cold
call
reached
out
to
rumi
shahad
and
john
zarnecki
over
at
new
hope
bay
and
floated
the
idea
of
a
multi-generational
campus.
They
have
a
14-acre
campus.
It's
a
beautiful
campus
they've
did
they've
done.

Two
phases
of
the
campus
have
close
to
100
employees,
and
many
of
those
employees
are
women,
and
many
of
those
women
have
young
children
and
a
lot
of
the
reasons
why
folks
can't
show
up
to
work
is
because
of
because
of
child
care
having
reliable,
affordable,
accessible
child
care.
So
I
floated
the
idea
of
a
multi-generational
care
care
campus.

They
had,
if
you
remember
out
there
originally
prior
to
new
hope
bay
being
there
and
established.
There
was
a
it
was
a
golf
driving
range
and
they
had
a
little
outbuilding
was
a
thousand
square
foot
out.
Building
that
you
would
check
in
care
of
your
golf
balls
and
then
go
hit
balls
in
the
driving
range.

What
happened
when
new
hope
bay
purchased
the
property?
Is
they
converted
that
into
a
demonstration
unit?
So
when
the
folks
were
interested
in
senior
living
opportunities
for
their
for
their
family,
they
could
tour
a
sample
unit
and
that
unit
still
exists
there
today.
What
we've
done
over
the
course
of
time
is:
we've
renovated
that
unit
for
the
purposes
of
child
care.
We
worked
very
closely
with
hampton
township.

We
were
able
to
get
everything
zoned
appropriately
and
went
through
the
process
of
making
sure
that
the
variance
was
there
to
use
that
campus,
not
just
for
a
senior
community
for
assisted
living
and
memory
care,
but
also
use
it
for
the
purposes
of
child
care.
So
we
we
got
that
approval
and
then
roomie,
I
will
say,
and
john
at
new
hope
bay
have
just
been
absolutely
incredible.
They
they
fronted
the
money
to
help
us.
Do
the
renovations
to
be
able
to
get
that
facility
licensed.
We
do
have
it
opened.

opened
back
in
march
of
2021,
you
may
have
seen
we
did
a
ribbon,
cutting
and
open
house,
and
it's
currently
licensed
to
serve
what
is
it
tiffany,

children
from
ages?
Two
years,
nine
months
to
school
age,
and
we
chose
the
path
of
least
resistance
on
getting
it
licensed,
and
so
we
aimed
for
the
the
two
two
two
years-
nine
months,
the
school-aged
children,
but
in
reality
in
hindsight,
we
really
need
infant
toddler
care.

We
need
care
for
infants
and
toddlers
in
across
across
the
country
as
we're
we're
lacking
most
in
infant
toddler
care.
So
now
what
we
want
to
do
our
our
goal
is
to-
and
we
have
a
variance
from
the
township
to
add
another
1000
to
1200
square
feet
on
that
property
with
the
land
use
variants,
and
now
all
we
need
to
do
is
raise
is
raise
some
capital
raise
some
money
to
be
able
to
do
this
edition.

New
hope
bay
has
a
general
contractor.
They
have
subcontractors,
they
are
sort
of
posed
and
ready
to
go.
If
ever
there
was
a
shovel
ready
project
to
address
child
care
in
this
county.
This
is
it
I
would
say
this
is
probably
at
the.
I
can't
think
of
any
other
shovel
ready
project
that
would
help
with
mitigating
child
care
issues
for
the
workforce
than
this
project.

I've
cited
some
things
at
the
bottom
of
this
handout
that
I
provided
earlier.
We
have
received
quite
a
bit
of
publicity
and
news
about
this
project,
which
is
great.
I
think
we
are
we're
going
to
continue
to
get
a
lot
of
state
and
maybe
even
national
publicity
about
this.
This
project
multi-generational
care,
really
the
beauty
is-
is
that
there's
reciprocal
benefit
right.

that's
a
great

we
have
a
very
close
partnership
with
the
montessori
house
of
bay
city.
They
relocated
from
their
former
location
during
the
covid
to
get
us
opened
and
so
montessori
house
of
bay
city
will
be
the
operator
of
it.
They
are.
We
are
in
transition,
they've
established
a
board
of
directors,
and
we
are
we've
filed
with
the
irs
and
we're
going
to
form
a
501c3
nonprofit,
currently
it's
privately
owned
by
by
tiffany
and
then
dr
raymond,
but.

a

I
don't
know,
and
it's
great
to
hear
this,
because
I,
I
think
anytime,
you
know
we
can
use
those
dollars
to
help,
whether
it's
mental
health,
whether
it's
the
elderly
or
kids.

think
that's
that's

great
thing

all
got
to
remember
too.
This
isn't
free
money,
we're
all
going
to
be
paying
that
back.

basically
shows
you
his

desire
to
keep
construction
costs
low,
keep
local
businesses
working
and
then,
at
the
same
time,
by
not
taking
fees
through
project
management
turn
around
and
offer

product

been
to
serve
as
well
as
the
other
investors,
so
we
want
to
make
sure
that
local
folks
are
involved
in
anything.
We
do.
We've
had
a
lot
of
experience
with
the
expansion
of
this.

hopeful
expansion
of
this
project.

horizons
has
a
similar

set
up,
they
have
the
respite
care
and
they
have
the
child
care
together
too,
and
it's
a
matter
of
numbers.

it
sounds
like
we're
going
to
need

be
more
on
the
east
side
probably
need
somebody
more
on
the
west
side,
so
maybe
there'll
be
some
other
projects
coming
forward.

restrictions

federal
money,

I'm
sure
davis
bacon

apply

arpa
is
federal

estimated
amount
that
you
need.

would

may
very
well
be
required
that
you
use
davis
bacon.

prevailing

been
excited

long

have

very

large
elderly
population.

biggest
things

we're

too

families

had
to
move
away

home

find
job
opportunities
elsewhere
and
in
doing
so,
they've
left
their

elders
behind,
and
so
they
haven't
had

opportunity
to
intermingle
with
with
their
grandchildren
or
great
grandchildren
as
much,
and
this
is
a
great
opportunity
for
both
generations
to
receive
what
they've
kind
of
had
to
miss
out
on.
So
I
thank

bringing
this
project

overtime

stressful

in
the

the
early
days
when
we
had

000
residents

bay,
county
registered
and
everyone
to
get.

wanted

the
vaccine
as
soon
as
they
could
so
we're
very
proud
of
the
nursing
staff
and
kathleen
janner
the
overseas
that
group
of
dedicated
nurses.

I
think
it's
a
resolution.

well
deserved

at
full
adequate
staff,
we're
stepping
in
every
16
hours
a
day
for
most
of
the
year,
and
currently
we
have
one
full-time
person
and
then
a
seasonal
staff
at
county
park
and
someone
who
is
considered
part-time
because
they
help
us
out
year
around
29
hours
a
week
or
so
so
we.

two
full-time
staff

people

only
to
cover
the
incredible
use
that
we
have
out
there,

they
use

camping

the
things

exceeding

to
retire

approved
through

not

were

prove
a
position
for

board
does
is
you
fund
that

personnel

make

determination
based
on

job
description

scale

board
just
approves
