✨WHAT YOU MISSED AT COUNCIL✨
✔️ Approved the purchase of in-car video equipment and software for use by the Police Department. This will outfit 50 frontline patrol cars with LPRs (license plate readers).
✔️ Approved a resolution accepting a grant from the Mamie McFaddin Ward Heritage Foundation for the restoration and enhancement of the Jefferson Theatre’s Robert-Morton organ.
✔️ Held a Work Session to Review and discuss an update from TxDOT regarding the I-10 Interchange project in general with a specific focus on the proposed removal of the onramp closest to Kenwood Drive. ✔️ Held a Work Session to Review and discuss the final report for the Sanitary Sewer Overflow Initiative Phase 2. They started modeling the city's sewer systems to identify potential places of weakness and recommended continued flow monitoring.
