want
to
give
you
a
little
brief
description
of
what
this
project
in
this
presentation
is
about
next
door
at
the
civic
center.
We
upgraded
the
lighting
in
the
arena
and
in
that
process
we
took
advantage
of
some
incentives
through
entergy
to
help
pay
for
or
help
fund
this
program
and
what
we
ended
up
doing.

manage
the
commercial
solutions
program
that
helped
provide
this
incentive
for
the
city.
So
what
this
program
did
what
keith
talked
about
is
we
did
change
up
the
lights
at
the
civic
center
and
with
that
we
were
able
to
generate
a
14
000
incentive.
Now
the
way
that
entergy
pays
out
incentives
is
it's
based
on
the
energy
that
you
saved,
so
this
project
ended
up
saving
70
kw
in
over
274
000
kilowatt
hours.

Now,
in
layman's
terms,
what
that
means
is
this:
the
city
is
going
to
be
able
to
save
an
estimated
twenty
four
thousand
dollars
on
your
electric
bill.
So
that's
a
decrease
in
energy
savings
and
what
keith
also
said
is
you
have
a
decrease
in
maintenance
savings,
so
this
is
going
to
help
the
city
use
those
funds
in
more
appropriate
areas
to
make
further
investments
for
the
city
and
for
your
community.

the
great
thing
about
energy
efficiency
is
not
only
are
you
going
to
save
on
your
utility
bill
and
kind
of
save
in
your
pockets,
but
you're
also
helping
save
the
environment
by
reducing
your
kilowatt
hours,
you're,
actually
reducing
carbon
and
you're
helping
the
environment,
and
by
doing
this
project
you've
estimated
saved.

lost
my
savings
44
cars
off
the
road,
so
the
about
that
energy
that
you
were
saved
in
kilowatt
hours,
it's
equivalent
to
taking
44
carbon
cars
off
the
road.

it's
a
two-pronged
approach,
so
you're
saving
in
your
wallet
and
you're
saving
the
environment
as
well.

specific

the
great
thing
about
the
city
of
beaumont
is
you've,
been
a
long-term
participant
of
the
commercial
solutions
program
going
back
to
2009..

is

I
have
been
a
resident
of
beaumont
for
over
40
years.
I
come
before
you
to
speak
about
my
personal
and
professional
knowledge,
skills
and
ability
of
mr
kenneth
williams,
I've
known
mr
williams.
For
over
23
years
we
used
to
go
to
lufkin
texas
and
learn
how
to
officiate
a
basketball
game,
and
he
was
our
trainer.
I
I
like
many
know
he
will
continue
the
process
and
institute
new
initiatives
that
will
continue
with
the
growth
of
the
city
and
known
as
a
servant
leader
for
what
he
does
through
the
years.
I
have
watched
him
ascend
the
new
leadership
heights,
as
he
moved
from
high
performance
cities
to
superb
performance
cities
with
continuing
improvement
for
the
citizens
quality
of
life.
Kenneth
is
a
man
of
impeccable
integrity
possesses
broaden
range
of
knowledge
and
experience
regarding
the
city
management
and
the
personal
needs
to
elevate
beaumont
to
the
next
level.

washes

bad

beaumont
to

staff
have

ahead

be
proactive,

keep
what
we
have

racial
division
and
stuff

trying
to
get
beaumont
to
grow.

interpreting

contract

justify
their
choice
by
claiming
the
manager
can
sleep
with

subordinate
or
lie
to
the
city,
councilman
members

still
get
paid
for
it
or
get
fired.

reading
the
contract
and
is,
as
it
is
read
where
the
manager
will
be
fired
for
good
calls
without
serving
pay
group
one
is
raising
hail
over
a
potential
service
payment
of
three
hundred
thousand
dollars.

track
record

interim
city
manager

was
or
is
the
developer
of
the
city

tenure

those

for

have
been

beaumont,
especially
when
it
comes
to
community
engagements
with
options
of
resolve.

don't

just
ignore.

need

gave
chris

chance.

fired
him

six
months
later
after
we
appointed
him

y'all
chose
to
hire
somebody

give
him
a
contract.

think
it's

been

williams

manager
as

city's
