Description
After a two-year delay due to the global pandemic, High Street Place Food Hall has finally opened its doors in Downtown Boston. The hall is now home to twenty different food and drink vendors, with features such as a champagne vending machine and raw bar. Mayor Wu and City Council President Ed Flynn join with business leaders and community members to celebrate.

It
is
truly
heartwarming
to
see
everyone
packed
in
here
today,
ready
to
enjoy
and
breathe
life
back
into
this
space
and
to
our
downtown.
As
you
heard
two
years
ago,
life
changed
almost
overnight,
for
all
of
us
meetings
were
cancelled,
coffees
were
canceled
schools
shut
down
and
downtown
for
a
while
became
a
ghost
town.

This
high
street
place
food
hall
is
quite
special.
It
will
represent
a
collection
of
the
city's,
most
cutting
edge
chefs
and
entrepreneurs,
and
a
home
for
downtown
to
continue
blossoming,
I'm
so
proud
and
grateful
that
this
hall
will
also
represent
a
bit
of
the
rep
will
represent
the
city
of
boston
and
all
its
beauty
and
diversity,
as
well
with
many
women-owned
businesses,
businesses
owned
by
entrepreneurs
of
color,
ensuring
that
we
are
bringing
our
neighborhoods
into
downtown.

mention

a
thanks
and
a
commemoration
of
the
late
rosemary
sansone,
president
of
the
downtown
boston,
business
improvement
district
and
before
that
administration,
official
in
the
city
of
boston
and
trailblazing,
boston,
city,
councilor,
one
of
the
first
women
to
be
elected
to
the
boston
city,
council,
rosemary
believed,
fiercely
in
the
power
of
the
city.
She
loved
every
bit
of
our
communities
and
she
believed,
especially
in
what
downtown
could
do
for
each
of
our
neighborhoods.

community
is
also
represented
by
the
bid
as
as
mayor
wu
mentioned,
but
also
by
the
downtown
residents
that
are
here
as
well,
the
downtown
residents
association.
