At American council members I just wanted to note that under the brown act, special meetings may be called by providing written notice to each council member any newspaper or TV radio station that has requested such notice and by posting notice on the city's website. Such notice must be delivered and posted at least 24 hours. Before the meeting, the notice shall specify the business to be transacted at the meeting and no other business may be conducted concerning tonight's special meeting notice was delivered and posted on the city's website.

48 prior hours prior to the meeting, the notice in the city's website had a link to the agenda and the agenda materials. Accordingly, notice of tonight's meeting has complied in all of respects.

This meeting is also compliant with the Ralph and Bardock, as amended by the California Assembly field. Number 361, effective, September, 16 2021, providing for a public health emergency exception to the standard teleconference rules required by the brown act. The purpose of this is to provide a safe environment for the public staff and council members will allow them for public participation. Public May address the council using exclusively remote public comment options. The council may take action at any item listed in the agenda. Members of the public May view.

I'm mayor Mackey, hi, moving on to staff report city manager, could we have your report on upcoming activities? Please.

Thank you, madam mayor um I, think we've got just two items tonight that we were going to uh report out on um their items that you and I think most members of the community are aware of. um We will be having a November 8th, 2022 general election.

um We will have two items on the ballot: a business license, tax on hotels and a half cent transaction use tax. um The candidate filing period for those interested in running for city council closes on August 12th um and then the next item is the housing element.

um We asked the members of the public that are interested to join the Planning Commission on August 11th at 7, 30 PM, for a workshop that will include an overview of each chapter of the housing element, and that is my report for this evening.

Thank you. uh Moving on to mayor council matters, the city council meeting schedule, so the resolution the council adopted this evening runs out on September the 3rd and given this timeline, the next city council meeting is a special meeting that will be scheduled for Thursday September. The 1st at 5 PM in the next regular city council meeting is scheduled for Thursday September 15th at 7. 30 pm uh would that work for all members of the council?

um July 14th to August 4th. We also received um the correspondence from Heidi Levin Levinson on July 22nd. Regarding the friends of the Brisbane Library donor wall, we also received a correspondence um on the 20th from Julie Testa city of Pleasanton council member executive director of c-a-l-e Susan kendrell city of Lafayette, Executive Board member c-a-l-e, timekl ham, K, Lee attorney at Alicia and Winder Winder um about joining the Statewide lawsuit from cities against hcd for aaronis arena allocation.

He also received Dana Dill uh course: minus from Dana Dilworth on the 20th regarding document for public record David Schooley on the 16th July 16th regarding the court.

Mayor if I may sure, um I would like to put out the information and um close in honor of former vice mayor, Ray Gonzalez, who passed away recently and our condolences to her and her.

Family can I also add to the list of former Brisbane resident resident, Susan ferrani, okay,.

Sorry to hear the news about Ray Terry um how'd, you hear about that.

It was posted on the uh coma's uh website. She she moved up her retirement from September, 5th, I, think and retired on the uh 28th of of July and passed away.

Oh, my goodness, wow I mean it seemed like I. Just saw her not to you know, I, guess the coma. Wasn't she at the coma uh um Council of cities in December.

December is usually Holland the holiday.

Yeah yeah, you know this well, that's when they have the coma Council of cities, wow that she was really. She was a really nice person, um yeah wow, uh all the yeah, all the best are her family condolences for sure. Thank you.
