No
right
so
we
can
move
on
to
the
public
forum.
This
is
an
extraordinary
full
council
meeting,
so
public
forum
must
relate
specifically
to
the
business
for
which
the
meeting
has
been
arranged.
We
have
one
statement
from
Oliver:
Fortune
is
Oliver
here.
Thank
you.
You
have
up
to
one
minute
to
present
the
statement.
E
E
Seventeen
libraries
were
listed
as
threatened
in
the
2017
neighborhood
consultation,
1.4
million
/
17
is
about
80
mm,
so
165
thousand
pounds
could
comfortably
save
to
libraries,
Bristol
City
Council's
sacrifice
six-figure
salaries
and
prioritize
public
services.
Instead,
that's
why
I
pay
my
council
tax.
A
hundred
and
sixty-five
thousand
pounds
is
over
seven
times
the
average
Bristol
salary.
It's
so
out
of
touch
with
the
reality
of
many
of
us
struggling
to
survive
on
stagnant
salaries
in
Bristol.
F
So,
thanks
for
your
question,
oliver,
I
anoles
will
be
big
salaries
to
to
many
many
people,
including
myself,
but
we
have
to
look
at
the
way
the
world
is.
The
council
is
a
billion
pound
organization,
with
over
five
thousand
employees
responsible
for
running
a
city
of
half
a
million
people
with
183
thousand
households
and
an
economy
worth
14
over
14
billion
pounds.
So
these
top
four
positions
we
got
are
incredibly
important
positions
and
we
have
to
fill
them.
F
If
we
didn't
pay
at
what
is
acceptable
at
the
market
rate,
what
I
would
say
is
that
actually
in
Bristol
we
have
the
lowest
average
pay
for
this
role
compared
to
the
core
cities,
we're
the
only
cool
cities
to
keep
a
one
to
ten
pay
ratio,
and
under
this
administration,
we've
put
in
a
flatter,
streamline
senior
management
structure
that
saves
800,000
pounds
a
year,
giving
us
a
low
overall
lowest
overall
management,
salary
cost
of
any
comparable
city.
So
we've
absolutely
taken
to
account
the
need
to
take
our
savings
in-house
and
protect
frontline
services.
A
G
E
F
What
I
can
say
is
they
will
be
part
of
a
top
team
responsible
for
an
organization
with
a
billion
pound
budget
over
five
fires
and
staff
and
all
the
descriptions
of
Bristol
I
shared.
We
ran
a
rigorous
selection
process
and
I.
Think
many
people
across
the
country
will
absolutely
recognize
that
we've
not
done
it
simply
with
Bristol
City,
it's
not
even
as
just
this
administration.
F
We've
made
we've
made
an
absolute
you
made
an
absolute
commitment
on
inclusive
gross
social
injustice
and
against
not
we
and
that's
what
we
expect
people
to
deliver.
We
made
a
huge
piece
of
out
values
in
the
recruitment
process.
Is
one
thing
that
all
the
candidates
across
all
the
positions
have
a
very
knowledge
stand,
will
expect
an
incident
to
work
in
my
way,
the
values
we
have,
which
is
about
making
sure
that
we're
financially
competent
local
authority?
